    THIS HOTEL MIGHT BE ONE STEP ABOVE A CRACKHEAD MOTEL. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. THE POOL SMELLS LIKE URINE AND THE BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE, THE COFFEE WAS TERRIBLE !!

    Location was good but very busy. The lobby bathroom was disgusting, the stool was completely plugged, and our room was filthy. Stuff all over the carpets, shower and bathroom still had debris from a previous rental.

    Sooooo when you come to Greenville sc make sure you book with The Baymont by Wyndham if the included breakfast doesn't draw you the great rates will!I LOVE THE BAYMONT!! This is the only place I stay when I come to Greenville from NYC! The location is great, it is a 5 minute walk from the bus drop-off and pickup spot.Now let me tell you about the staff, Ms. Dora Thompson who is THE fabolous manager has an amazing group of people. I usually come in early in the morning i mean 7am early and always am greeted with an alert and cheery front desk worker, but the courtesy and professionalism displayed by my favorites Denicia and Dion keeps me coming back!

    Room wasn't ready upon check in. Once checked in room smelled of wet dog, toilet and shower were dirty and there was no soap, towels or shower curtain. Checked out immediately. The front staff gentleman was amazing though.

    There are no smoke free rooms at this location. People outside pushing shopping carts full of things. I was promised a smoke free room only to find out that this really was not an option. Had to cancel and go to a clean motel.

    Beyond that, the overall environment felt uncomfortable and unsafe. The property did not appear clean, and there were several men gathered in the back of the hotel near the parking area playing loud music and smoking marijuana. There was also a white van with tinted windows parked outside with someone visibly inside, which added to the uneasy atmosphere. At the front desk, there was even a missing persons poster displayed, which further heightened my concern. While I understand situations happen, combined with everything else, it did not create a welcoming or secure environment. The staff interaction made things worse. They were dismissive and made inappropriate comments while other guests were actively complaining during my check-in. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable staying and decided to cancel my reservation and book elsewhere. Overall, this felt more like a short-stay location rather than a place suitable for a safe, overnight visit. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for solo travelers.

    I didn’t stay more than an hour there was hair in tub, the door could be blown over by just breathing. Did NOT feel safe at all!!! Pool wasn’t cleaned it was gross!! The staff was very unprofessional and rude!!

    Just don’t. Spend a little more money. We will never go to any other Wyndham property again. It to 45 minutes to an hour to check in AND out. It’s not like there’s a long line. We were the only one. Coffee was undrinkable. Was out of waffle batter, but did we REALLY want to eat there? Not really. The cashier never got off of her FaceTime while we checked out. Just don’t do it.

    It is an old property in an ideal location for the highway. I didn’t see in the description that it is an outdoor entry to the rooms. That is not my preference as I always prefer an inside corridor. Breakfast was adequate but the eating area needed some attention. My biggest issue was the smell of smoke in the room. It’s a nonsmoking property but the smell in the room made my eyes burn. I would not stay here again.

    Upon arriving I thought omg what did I just do lol but upon entering the office I was like okay so far so good. The front desk clerk 3rd shift was extremely nice and thoughtful! Once we got into our room, it smelled great! That's a big deal for us. I always bring my own cleaning supplies regardless but once in, I didn't need it as "another hotel". I still of course sprayed down the norm but it was very clean! Beds super comfy and had all amenities we needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend!

    Upon check in i was told that there's no rooms available. This is after the flight was delayed 2 hours, and then no rental cars available for my reservation. The clerk said he would put me in an upgraded room. After i got in it, it was far from an upgrade. This by far the lowest level of lodging I have been in. The building is ancient, although it was freshly painted and carpets. The room was incredibly small and very few electric sockets.

    WOMAN WHO CHECKED US IN WAS UNPLEASANT AND TOOK MUCH TOO LONG TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION. ROOM HAD STRONG ODOR OF MARIJUANA WHEN WE ARRIVED. BREAKFAST WAS SLIGHTLY LATE AND NOT GOOD.     Room was nice, nothing special, but clean enough. Staff was friendly, but seemed overworked. It took over 24 hours just to get an ice bucket. Breakfast was better than expected. Thought it would just be muffins and such because it said take and go. But we had waffles every morning and hard boiled eggs. They also had muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal and some fruits available. They had a juice fountain and coffee.

    Just like the past 3 or 4 times that I've stayed here recently, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff are very professional and nice and work diligently to make sure my stay was great. Being a night shift worker, I am horrible when it comes to getting up in the morning to even function, so thank goodness they're always so kind to allow me a late check out. I feel like this place is like my second home when i visit Greenville quite often.

    This motel has came a long ways. About a year ago, this motel was overall a bad motel but it has changed exponentially for the good. They've remodeled, have friendly staff and is very clean. I've had to ask for late check outs my past 2 visits and they were so nice to oblige. This is definitely where I like to stay when I visit Greenville SC.

    My boyfriend and I have stayed here before and never had any issues with the rooms until this time. We unfortunately had a room that was infested with roaches. When we called to report the issue nothing was done about it or no discount was offered or anything and on top of that check out wasn't until 11 but I key card was cut off before then. I really don't think I could ever stay at this location again.

    The non smoking room smelled like smoke, one mattress sagged so badly in the middle that you could see it even when the bed was made, and there were no plugs available for electronics. The one plug we used shorted out the light plugged into it when we plugged something else into the other socket. There was only one light available in the room after that even though there were 3 lamps. It was marginally clean but they were stingy with the towels in the room. Had to ask for more. The staff was kind and helpful though, and there were no bedbugs.

    The first room she put us in was a little musky smelling—no big deal— but as soon as we turned in the lights BAM roaches went crawling everywhere — the wall, the floor, the ceiling EVERYWHERE!!! Front desk immediately switched us to another room and it was MUCH BETTER!!! She seemed genuinely sorry and embarrassed about the situation.

    Been here a few months off and on.. the staff is always great, respectful, and accommodating. Love the distance from work, and most of all.. it's much to do on this strip of road. Either walk, ride, or run to anything you'd like to do.

    The staff was wonderful. The rooms were not the best...carpet was sticky and dirty. When we walked on the carpet barefoot...we looked at the bottom of our feet it was dirty from the carpet (we kept our sandals on after that). The bathroom was okay, in terms of water pressure and temp of water. The towels had stains on them as well as the sheets. We went and purchased our own towels to use and wash cloths. The refrigerator had food from other occupants in the freezer part. The room was dusty and moist(humidity). There was no de-humidifier to deal with all the humidity in the room. There seemed to be a lot of transient people staying there...hence the loud noises at night outside of our room. We didn't feel safe and was concerned our rental car would get stolen/vandalized. The general area around outside of the hotel was fabulous...lots of major stores and shops, as well as places to eat. The highway was close to the hotel, which was a plus. Overall, I would not stay there again, but I would stay in the general area of the hotel (there were many more reputable hotels in the area). Couldn't wait to get out of there.

    Don’t stay here. The place smells musty, the room was not clean at all! My ten year old son opens the drawer to check if there is a bible and finds a floppy disc and a little blue pill! Yes I said a floppy disc.. from like 30 years ago. The pill turned out to be some kind of depression medication, I flushed it down the toilet. Did not feel comfortable at all and luckily was only staying one night.

    Quiet and clean, but service is once every 3 days and my experience was awful. "Service consisted of throwing a stack of clean towels on my lavatory and removing dirty ones, THEY DID NOT EMPTY waste baskets even after I called the front desk to ask. At 8 a.m. Sunday morning I got email inquiring as to what time I was leaving, giving the impression that management was concerned that I would try to hold over. As if mgr used to work in a flop house. They don't keep track of time you leave because you just put your room keys in a box.

    The hotel took a deposit of $50.00 on checking in. As bad luck would have it, my credit card used in the transaction was cancelled for some other reason after 2 days. The initial charge of 50.00 for the depositwent through, but when the hotel returned the 50.00 to the same credit card, the credit obviously didn’t get through as the card itself was closed by then. I told this to the front desk while checking out, but they didn’t do anything about it. The $50.00 has still not been credited to me.

    Ask for smoke free room and I assume the people next door were smoking because we constantly would smell cigarette smoke. it was always in our room and woke us up at night.

    It took over 45 minutes to check in, they had to use a clipboard to see if a room was clean or not, the carpet of the room was literally as wet as a sponge, and over 90% humidity.

    Room was not ready, and was booked 3 months in advance. They gave us key cards, went to room and cleaned was still cleaning at 4:15. Had appointment at 4:15 to be at. Ended up booking at another motel. Check in was at 3, we arrived at 3:15.

    Lots of interstate noise throughout the night. Loud guests on both sides of my room. Cockroach crawled in my daughter’s bag. Hotel is in poor condition on the outside. Felt quite unsafe. Pictures are false advertising. Front desk clerk was nice enough.

    Upon check in, my first room had cockroaches in the bed, bathroom and behind the nightstand. The front desk sent me to a second room that had an actively running ozone machine which is toxic to humans, the third room I was given had bed bugs. After one night's sleep in the third room, I had bites all over my hands and head. I found live bed bugs in my pillow, under the sheet at the head of the bead and on my clothes. I had to bag all of my things, wash & dry them and relocate to a fourth and final room.

    I do not recommend staying here. I was never told about a large deposit per room. I had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and recieved the email about the deposit once the booking was confirmed. Ive never had to pay a deposit when using a card at any other hotel. When paying cash yes ive heard of leaving a deposit until check out and verifying everything was good but when using a card thats why they save the info incase there is any damages. And in the notice about the deposit it states they have up to 14 days to return. In this day the way the economy is why would i just leave them a decent amount of money until they want to return it. The whole reason of using apps to book is to help save money not spend more. Anyways i tried to cancel due to this expedia said i couldnt. My husband whose name was on the reservations went to the location immediately and told them we wanted to cancel due their deposit policy and they ended up charging us per room which is actually more than their nightly rate. I emailed the location and also filed a claim to expedia and they refused to refund me the money. I understand that they have this policy what i dont think is fair is that i was not informed until AFTER booking. So basically they stole from me and refuse to refund it and expedia wont help either. EDITED TO REMOVE AMOUNTS BECAUSE IT WAS FLAGGED

    The tub faucet constantly dripped No available electrical recept by bed to plug in cell phone. The one recept was utilized by a light and alarm clock Even though I pre registered it took a long time to check in. And only after I complained did I get service. The pre registration was a joke because the clerk asked me all the questions that I had already answered on line

    UNSAFE area. Drive up to room and hardly any parking. Locals living there and taking breakfast to others in cats oitside. Music loud at 11pm on a Saturday night.. no clean. No service or towels for 3 days? Just so sad i sta wd here. Thoight baymont was better. Not here.

    Carpet was not vacuumed & there was no comfy chair in which to sit. It's the only motel room I've ever stayed in without a fridge & microwave, which was beyond disappointing. Staff was very friendly.

    The very first night I found four roaches in the bathroom adjust it with the night management was told I would be moved to a different room in the morning and they would call me to let me know when my new room was ready and that exterminators were going to come none of that happened on the second night I found three more so I then went and sprayed my own room since they couldn't be bothered with it I was told pest control was coming on the third day and that I would get moved to another room again did not happen so when I complained and asked for a refund I was told that I would get money back for my deposit I said no I want money back because this room is disgusting I'm going to have to basically throw away everything that is entered the room because I cannot take a chance of bringing roaches back to my house was never given a refund management is horrible place should be shut down
