Super 8 by Wyndham Hardeeville/Savannah North

I always stay at a super 8 whenever I can. The staff is always great and work around your schedule when it comes to privacy.

I've been using hotels.com to book for over a decade, always under Chuck, and never had a problem before. When I questioned her decision, a maintenance worker joined her behind the counter. I'm assuming in an attempt to intimidate me. I would sleep in my car before I'd ever stay at a Super 8.

We stay here very often a few times a month I would say. We have never had a problem. Free breakfast which is always a plus. The rooms are always clean and the staff polite. The rates a great compared to surrounding.

Worst place and staff ever. Woke up to find bed bugs in my beard. Floor hadn’t been cleaned in years (I made the mistake of being barefoot), walls had some black ooze by outlet. Spoke to front desk lady who said manger was not on-site but promised a call back. I never received this and have tried calling multiple times only for it to keep ringing and ringing. It is obvious this is why they asked for my number - to screen for my call. Avoid at all costs.

They were rude and very disrespectful and I accidentally locked myself out of the room and they will not let me retrieve my things. I will not recommend to my friends because at the end of the day I was sad and disappointed, and it also was raining that day very disappointed do not go there. They speak and a native tongue and taught trash about you and taught trash to you. I didn’t like nothing there but the breakfast and that’s it

The price The place was not clean enough. And while I was in the bathroom, I was attacked by 4 huge water bugs, I have the pictures to prove it not a very pleasant sight, some people seem to be outside smoking pot, or some other drugs, it makes you feel a little unsafe.

The room was run down, needs updating. Breakfast needs nutritional value.

Is a okay hotel for 1 night, or for a road trip! The hotel is old and cheap, so you cannot expect something better

Nothing was to like.Pictures are either old or taken at another location. The room smelled bad and was dirty. Holes in doors. 3 inches of dust and filth on vent in bathroom. Faucet almost came off in my hand when I turned on the tub.

Nothing! It is obvious why this was the only place with rooms. The staff didn't care and lied. The rooms were filthy and the only thing they said was we can refund your money. Nothing like lets make this better. I had to ask to change rooms and then was told dont you mess it up when I show it to you. It was like it was much better than the first. EVERYTHING! The place should be shut down! Its a flop house drug den. The smell in the rooms, the burn on the sheets, the filth all over! The water ran brown and the shower head barely worked. The floor hadn't been properly cleaned since it was put down. All the surfaces were never cleaned and the metal lamps were all rusted on the bases. The AC barely cooled the room.

Room had roaches, shower head fell off, plumbing in shower was loose. And pretty sure there was a poo stain on the side of the bed

We were downgraded from a king to a double room and our request for adjoining rooms was not honoured. Definitely won't stay here again.

If you are a smoker and like me smoke outside but don't like to litter and but your butts in the trash don't throw then on the ground let them clean them up if not you don't get your deposit back because they will accuse you of smoking in the room besides that hair in the bathtub and the was not really cleaned

First let me say horrible..They never came to do housekeeping and we stayed for 3 days..The staff are rude..The cover and I mean everything single piece on the bed had holes all in them..The place is horrible I recommend to no one..They need a remodel I could go on on but the picture is painted..Don’t go

I did not eat breakfast. The location is fine I made a reservation online, including my home address. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that I was considered a "local" and that I would have to pay a $50 dollar deposit. This despite the fact that I live on Hilton Head Island, a considerable distance from Hardeeville. Nothing was mentioned about this deposit when I reserved online. I objected and attempted to cancel my reservation, but was told cancellation was not allowed. I had reserved the room online around 5 minutes previously. This was at around 5 o'clock in the afternoon. I live on a boat on Hilton Head and will occasionally stay at a motel when there is maintenance being performed on my vessel. I have stayed at several other properties over the years and have never been asked to pay a deposit because I was a "local". The desk attendant, who was quite unpleasant, informed me that none of the other properties in the area would even rent to "locals". I happen to know this to be completely untrue. Though I have stayed at Wyndam Properties many times in the past I will never do so again.

Room dirty, critters, hair not ours, in great need of repairs & remodeling, disgusting all around, can't believe Wyndham put their name on this hotel, only reason we chose it.

Trashy Motel. Pictures are very misleading. Uncomfortable beds, flat pillows, scratchy thin prison blankets. Run down room--ceiling in bathroom peeling off, paper thin walls, ideal if you want to hear your neighbors conversations and listen to their television. Oh and there's a train track outside your door so you can enjoy the soothing sound of train horns at 4 am :)

The room smelled like mildew, the pillows were wet. I’m pretty sure it was due to the fact that the window in the room was loose. The bathroom also smelled terrible. Needles to say we switched hotels.

Check in took long because staff was negotiating price with future guest. Guest were allowed to smoke marijuana in common areas. Room assigned was far from parking. Request room change and was given a dirty room with dirty tub and bug infested. Went to front desk and request a diffirent room because assigned room did not and charged extra. Then a guest came in saying there was not hot water and the staff member told her to run the water for 15 minutes and it would get warm. It was almost midnight, and my husband and I had our 2 grandchildren. I asked the staff member to cancel my room and was told to call Expedia. Called and got disconnected. All in all, a pretty good stay. The staff made up for the age of the property. A few more updates in the property would be four to five stars.

Filthy doesnt even describe it. I don't even know if an attempt was made to clean this room. The thhin, pitiful blankets had cigarette burns. There was no hot water. There was a serious roach issue. I paid with a debit card on site for two nights. Didnt even stay one. Clerk was argumentative and refused a refund. The whole property was beyond disgusting.

Management could do a little bit of improving the maintenance around the property walls/doors and rusty lamps. The pool was super clean and yes I would recommend this place it’s convenient to (15 miles downtown Savannah, Pooler, GA’s outlet mall, and 25 miles from Coligny Beach)

The Motel is very run down it needs a complete remodeling. The rooms need holes filled, new paint, new door locks, needs new bathroom shower heads that dont just hang on the wall but securley fastened, Bathtub fixtures were lightly caulked but still loose, carpets were at least 40yrs old and the last but not least was the Breakfast sortiment. There were orange juice that was thicker than usual, plenty of Toast but nothing other than butter or jelly to add to it ,there were no fruits no eggs, just waffles. I have had a lot of complimentary Breakfasts or Continental Breakfast that were better than this one, This is two years in a row that I have had bad experiences at a Super 8 Motel I will never stay at another one again.

This hotel did not coincide with the information on the website. Breakfast was two items. Coffee and juice were out, both days. Toaster burned the toast on the lowest setting. Roaches in the room. Dirty floor. Sketchy guests and homeless living in the woods behind the hotel.. I never give bad reviews as I simply nerd a hotel room for sleep. This was not a good experience.

Room door was missing paint. Key entry box looked like it had been pried on. There were nasty liquid trails from garbage being drug across the concrete to the dumpster. Air conditioner was leaking inside the room. Bathroom towels and washrags had stains on them (photos taken). Shower area was filthy and water catch basin was caving in. Dirt and dust on celings. Floor was filthy.

The light by one nightstand was out. The microwave glass was broken. The ceiling in bathroom was hanging down. The shower head was off the wall. One pillow case had blood stains on it. The bathroom door was dirty and covered with dirt spots. The floor under sink area was extremely dirty. The room had an unpleasant odor. I left at 2am due to unsatisfactory conditions. Disappointed in accommodations. Will never stay at this hotel chain again.

She.checked me out and helped me call expedia for a full refund. Monse is a kind thoughtful employee.who understood my kids and I couldnt stay there.

Rundown Motel in need of renovation

I stay here often. The check in is painless and quick. The staff are always nice and accommodating if there is an issue. From this stay, my air conditioning unit wasn't as cool and one side of the room was cool and the other had a warm draft. The room was clean but missing a chair or couch but I didn't really mind. It looked more spacious.

Unfriendly clerk. No hot water. Shower head holder broken. Dirty bathroom. Breakfast at 6:30 had no coffee, one piece of bread. No non sugar sweetener, only dry cereal and no milk. It won’t let me upload the photos.

Stay away. Dirty, stained and outdated. Roaches, sewer gas so bad it the bathroom we had to clog the drain with a washcloth. When I asked for towels at the front desk the older lady with grey slicked back hair gave me an eye roll and heavy sigh because that was housekeepings job. The “breakfast” was a toaster and a waffle maker and was closed off more than it was open.

The room was absolutely deplorable. Definitely looked a lot nicer in the photos online when reserving the room. The receptionist was extremely nice despite being asked for a refund for the room.

Well, the mattress was comfy, the room was never cleaned by staff everyday. The A/C only got cool after dark. The tubs did not have any slip protection. The photos that we viewed was not what we encountered as we entered the Inn or my room. Oh, I had to squish some cockroach.

Easy check in and convenient location to both hilton head and Savannah.

The room we checked into did not have the air on and it was a window unit. It took a long time for it to cool and it was extremely noisy. It shut off periodically and it got hot quickly when it was off. The front desk entrance area and it was set up like they had breakins before so it looked kind of scary. The staff was friendly and nice but I wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel was absolutely disgusting! First room we were given was a “NON SMOKING” room! It coming from a smoker myself it smelled of cigarettes Terribly! There were cigarette holes in the bedding and everything! The pillow cases looked like they were chewed up by rodents. The ceiling was falling down. I looked like there was blood smeared on the wall behind the door. I can go on forever about this and have pictures of everything! The second room definitely smelled better and was definitely cleaner but still had issues. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone! The only semi decent thing was the staff was accommodating.

Good thing the the room was cheap. Now I see why, ceiling falling down in the bathroom shower. Smells like sewage in the room. Towels don't look like they were clean have spots on it. Comforter has spots on the comforter sheets look to be dirty. The most disgusting place I've ever stayed. The microwave look like something exploded in it. But now I know why because it's full of Mexicans and they're all piled in rooms so that's why it's left that way would not ever go back there again.

The hotel's condition was terrible, making sleep impossible. The noise from other guests who seemed to be living on the property and engaging in drug consumption and heavy drinking all night was unbearable. The bedsheets smelled dirty, and there was only one small bar of soap provided for two guests. The bathroom door couldn't close properly, and the pervasive odor of humidity made matters worse. To top it off, the breakfast options were limited to toast, cereal, waffles, coffee, and juice. Overall, it was the worst hotel experience imaginable.

They’ll charge you for nothing then blame it on somebody else. I had to dispute the charges with my bank to not pay an extra $160 after I stayed there for a week in a room infested with roaches. The pool stayed closed and the breakfast made starving seem appetizing. Stay away from here

The entire facility was in need of repairs. The breakfast buffet was pathetic. The fixtures in the bathroom were not attached to the wall, and the toilet was not attached to the floor. I would not stay there again.

It's not 5 start but gets the job done. We were not there alot but the time we were it was nice enough for what we needed. The hot water was a little tricky but did work. It could use a tiny better cleaning but nothing to serious. If you're looking for a deal in this area and aren't super picky this is the place for you. If you are picky go somewhere else but your wallet better be ready.

Motel under renovation...Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight stay...Handicapped room needs more bars to get up from the toilet...and needs a small counter by the sink..Relatively quiet ...Strange but pleasant sound of a train whistle in the early morning hours..Bed very comfortable and TV worked well...as did internet.

Everything was really very bare minimum. There weren’t any Kleenex in the room.

Because my flight was delayed they cancelled my 3 day reservation and wouldn’t let me just pay for the one night and check in the following day. I will not be booking with them ever again. It’s not my fault the flight was delayed a whole day.

Could use a deep cleaning. Not much to do in the area. Was an ok stay but definitely need a deep cleaning and change out the mattress and mattress covers you can see the blood from bed bugs on the mattress covers. The quilt on top has burn holes and stain on them in a non smoking room. There was mold throughout the room on the ceiling, lampshade, and floors. If I owned the Wyndham company I would definitely inspect my sister hotels before I would have my name associated with the business. Breakfast consist of toast, cereal and waffles. Room 112 and 118

Horrible motel, dirty noisy, only stay here if you are on the run from the law

I can’t believe Wyndham put their name on this. The pictures are very deceptive. If I wasn’t so tired I would have left. Bathroom had mold, dirty bed platforms, big thick dirty cobwebs. It was a non smoking room that smelt like smoke. The ice machine looked like where the coronavirus started. The breakfast offered was a joke. Has potential but it was filthy. Seemed to be long term residents that were loud and came and went all night.

Not terrible but not great. 1 night stay for work. Easy check in. Bathroom ceiling falling apart in multiple spots. Hot water was barely luke warm for a shower. Vent fan had about 5 years of dirt / dust on it, outlet covers missing (think small kids who like to touch things) as a safety issue. Tv operated which thank god and bed was mostly comfortable. Staff excellent bare bones hotel. No tv remote no Kleenex in bath. Tv sucked .. needed a place to sleep and in did the job.

First I did not even stay at this hotel. I asked to see a room before checking in and found multiple stains that appear to be blood stains on the sheets of the first room. I asked to see a second room and upon opening the door saw a massive puddle of water in the floor. I went back to the desk and asked to cancel my reservation.

The lamp on the bedside table was terribly rusty, and the AC plugs did not work. One of the bedspreads had a hole in it, probably caused by a cigarette. It was very inconvenient from room 115 to get ice, as the back of the motel was blocked off and we had to walk a long way back to the room. The breakfast was not great at all. Only two kinds of dry cereal, and only bread for toast. Waffles were O.K but some bacon would have been a welcome addition. The TV only got a few channels, but that was probably not the fault of Super 8. They said it was due to Idalia knocking out power. Still, it should have been fixed. The pool was closed, which was a bummer. Also, when we tried to check in at 2:15, the desk clerk said there would be a $25 charge for "early check in".

My wife booked a room on the way home from vacation and accidentally booked the wrong hotel. We booked through Expedia and when we asked for a refund or to stay at a different super 8 location the answer was no and the money was non refundable. As far as I’m concerned if u do not stay at a hotel you should not be charged the full 80 dollars and not be offered a refund. Super 8 hotels suck and I highly recommend u spend your money more wisely that that place. Maybe somewhere that is honest. Again super 8 sucks. That’s all.

Place is terrible 😩

Traveling from North Carolina to Florida and needed a place to stay, glad I stayed here, the rooms were clean, freshly remodeled and staff was friendly, would definitely recommend and stay here again

I love staying here it is driving distance from Helton head Tybee Island and Savannah. I have always been greeted friendly never had rude interaction with any of my stays. They where doing some work around the neighborhood but other than that it was wonderful.
