Perfect spot near beach, yoga, shopping, Trader Joe's and even a Five and Below for little things like sunblock etc. Wonderful service! Donovan was AMAZING! His professionalism and warm welcome was just want we needed after the flight and busy airport! The breakfast was great and it is really an ideal spot to stay in Hermosa Beach!

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was great, across from a small shopping center and 2 blocks from the beach. However, we found 2 spiders in our room and our room layout was in a strange L-shape so that one bed could not see the TV.

Weekend pricing was ridiculously high for this property. There was a concert all weekend in Hermosa and rates went through the roof. Place is just OK. All in, the per night approached $395 room, taxes, parking, etc. Too much!

Everything was perfect. The staff especially were friendly, professional and really seemed to care about their gusts. Donovan and Violet were the best!

I had such a great time at the hotel! I was a solo traveler the staff was super nice to me! It's also a great location , with a very easy parking lot and I could get to LA pretty easily with my rental!! Special shoutout to Donovan, Marie and Gladys for being so sweet!

The breakfast had a great variety, they do charge for parking but a reasonable 15.00 a night. They gave a fitness center, a little convenience "store" for essentials. It is conveniently location within walking distance to so many things, Hermosa Pier, Manhattan Pier, Trader Joes, Pavillions right across the street. Comfortable beds and fridge in the room.

Room was clean, staff was nice, breakfast had a lot of options and dining area was very clean and nice. One thing that I didn’t know until we arrived is that parking is not free. It was $15/night to park in their lot. Great location with lots of food options across the street a the beach right down the road.

For hotels in this class, the self-serve breakfast was good. However, I didn’t like having to spend 15 bucks every day to park on their lot. Thought that was excessive.

Because of multiple flight cancellations, we ended up staying here twice, in two different rooms over four days. The first room, on the 4th floor had a view of the ocean but a strange layout and an uncomfortable mattress. The second room, 201, is possibly the worst room at the hotel. The "view" from the window is the wall of the building in front of the hotel, about 15 feet away. We quickly figured out that only the 4th floor has a view. Every other room faces the street or the buildings behind the hotel. The price is based on the fact the hotel is in Hermosa Beach but it's on Pacific Coast Highway, a busy street with loud traffic (and sirens) all night long. Parking is tight (and costs $15 a day) but the hotel is mostly clean. The included breakfast comes in just below what is found in budget motels. Sad to see in a hotel at this price point. We ate breakfast out most days. The location was convenient to LAX but, other than that, I felt this hotel was overpriced for the quality of the rooms. All of the staff we encountered were nice and did their best, within constraints of the owners, to help guests.

I love Hampton Inn and Suites. The rooms are very comfortable and the lobby is lovely I’m physically handicapped so I felt there should have been another bar in the shower to hold onto. Also, I wish there was a small microwave in my room.

Everyone is friendly and the hotel is not only clean with free breakfast but it also has 24/7 coffee and a rooftop with loungers to relax and see the ocean.

My stay was great at this hotel. Clean and safe! Room was very comfortable. Love that coffee is available all day. Only disappointments - breakfast would have liked a non bacon egg option and a microwave in thr room; found myself runing downstairs to reheat food often. Other than that it was great and felt like a cozy home base while exploring LA.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable I do not like that they charge $20 for parking! That is ridiculous since you are traveling and obviously have a vehicle. So there is no way around not paying it.

My husband and I return here every year and love the convenience to the beach and shopping. This hotel, even with renovations, is the best from the front desk staff to the cleanliness of the property.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. It is a great place to stay. Walking distance to many places. Will stay here again.

We were told we would receive a complementary water bottle but it never came. The air conditioning didn’t work. The bathroom sink was rusty. The shower stall was uneven. The toilet was too low. The breakfast however was adequate.

We liked that breakfast was available every morning - Waffle station, bread, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit cups, yogurt, coffee, tea. Each night there was a hot water station with tea and hot cocoa. We could see the ocean from our balcony. We also liked the location of the hotel (quick walk to stores/shops, restaurants, and the beach) and our room was very clean. Very comfortable hotel. The breakfast items weren't labeled. As a vegetarian it was difficult to know what was in each food and there were no vegetables at breakfast. There were no labels for Vegan or Gluten Free options. Some of the front desk staff were friendly and greeted us and other staff ignored us when we would come in.

I love the Hampton Inn because breakfast is included. They have balconies and a sun roof terrace with couches to relax on.

The location was near the venue for the music festival we attended. The breakfast was merely some snacks and water in a to go bag. This was disappointing. We chose Hampton Inn because there is usually a decent breakfast. Our room adjoined another room and the person next to us was very loud. She was on her phone late at night and early in the morning talking so loudly that we could hear every word in our room. It was disruptive to our sleep.

They were in total renovation and had no amenities and they still were expensive while doing renovations in all floors. It would had been good to at least not charge for parking.

Being remodeled. Elevator wasn’t working which made it difficult for my mom who has mobility issues. Breakfast was sack lunch. Our window faced the property wall which was depressing.

Great where we wanted to go. This “hotel” is being renovated. There is construction material on the ground level, including the office area where the check-in/office area is partitioned-off by plastic. The elevator is non-operational…the sign says it needs required upgrading (code???). The so called “breakfast” which we normally associated with the Hampton Inns consisted of bottled water and a muffin in a “to-go” plastic bag. There was coffee. The hotel should not be operational until the renovations are complete. It would seem the work would go a lot faster and smoother without having to work around unhappy guests not told of the current situation when booking. Was revenue the reason. Maybe for a smaller chain this would be OK. But the Hampton Inn under the Hilton umbrella? We have no complaints with your staff considering the situation they were working under. The problem....location is under construction. All amenities were closed, including breakfast area. To Go bags were provided, but the place was a construction zone. I wouldn't book this place for at least 6 months from now, 3/2025.

Was not informed that building was under construction. Had to go out side to get the elevator with a hilly sidewalk and I had a handicap partner. Then the room was so far down the hall we could barely walk to it. They did move us the next morning closer to the elevator .But they say the room was ready and my handicap partner went to the room. The was floor was still wet in some places unnoticed and he slipped and fell. Manager was notified. partner back was stiff. Not a good time.

Overall, good stay. Water never got hot for the shower. Was not happy about being charged an additional $15 to park at the hotel where we had a reservation.Breakfast was good. Our "ocean view" room could only see the ocean if you were standing out on the balcony; not visible from the room itself.

Our stay was decent. However the photos online don’t show that the hotel is dated. The hallways smell very stale and the carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in quite some time. We got to our room 405 I believe and it smelled strong of bleach. we had to open the door up to the balcony which was nice to air it out. The room looked clean. But after walking around for about 20 mins the bottom of my husbands feet were dirty. Like the floors hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also you will hear everyone around you. The floor above was stomping around and the side neighbors blasting their tv. Our tv wouldn’t turn on. We tried plugging it back in. Nothing. Breakfast was typical. The eggs taste terrible but the rest was decent. Over all just disappointed that I paid close to $300 a night for a hotel that was kinda dirty and more dated than the photos look like with no tv. I do have to say the ac goes down to 44! We like to be cold and slept with it on 62 and it was amazing! Bed is comfy. I wish the pillows were king size but that’s no biggie. The parking is $15 a night. The lot is kinda tight especially in an SUV. and trying to get out on that road is quite annoying. But that’s how traffic is in the area always.

While the overall property was average, the fact that the elevator was down for "maintenance" was a reflection on the franchise owner who obviously let the elevator "run to fair" in lieu of actually performing routine maintenance. The elevator had obviously broken or failed to pass county inspection. Elevator maintenance does not keep an elevator down for days

The AC on the room is a little loud even at the lowest setting. One of the beds' springs make squeaky sound every time you move. Plenty of stores nearby and walking distance to the pier.

The morning breakfast is great with a variety for you to choose from. The nights are quiet and peaceful. If you get a king suite with an ocean view of the sunset is beautiful. Overall great experience, not sure about everyone else who has a bad one but I sure am coming back here.

We love this hotel! We stay here every time we return to California. The staff is friendly and approachable and the rooms are always nice and clean.

The property location is excellent, and the staff is helpful, however,we saw a mouse inside the lobby in dining area a rat trying to come from outside so we stopped eating breakfast

I liked it was really close to allot of stores just in case something was forgotten from home. Also i loved the fact it was really close to the beach and the way to the beach was practically straight all the way.

Great location. We arrived at the beach within 5 minutes after leaving the hotel parking lot. With Vons and CVS right across the street, we never had to think twice about opening in-room snacks or beverages. Awesome Breakfast. Full breakfast with proteins, carbs, fruits, and more. My kids couldn’t wait to get downstairs and make a fresh waffle right after waking up. My only downside. Sleeping in the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me and my spouse. We both woke up with minor back pain the first morning and neck pain on the second. Hopefully we had the only bad mattress in the hotel;) If I were to ever stay at Hermosa Beach again in the future, this place would definitely be in the running to take my money Take care!

We have stayed here before, primarily because it is conveniently located to family we are visiting. The parking is good but expensive. The breakfast area, food, and coffee are very good. There is no dresser, only three small wire trays, which are inadequate for any more than a couple of days. There were 2 significant issues during the stay: the mattress is very worn and we had to shift around to find a spot where the coils weren’t digging into our sides. The second issue was a leaking toilet; not from the tank, but from the bowl itself. Caulk had been applied to the area of the leak in an attempt to hide it rather than a proper repair.

The hotel is in a great location on the PCH, close to all the great restaurants in Hermosa Beach. Our room was great, parking was easy and staff was very friendly. The only negative thing I would say is that when I ran the faucet on the bathroom sink an unpleasant odor came out. I felt nervous about drinking the water from the tap so I bought some gallons of purified water.

As expected - met all the standards for this range hotel a little extra.

The property is a bit run down we liked the free breakfast and just minutes from the beach . The first room we got was next to the laundry room which is the worst room ever especially when the maid starts spinning sheets , worse nose ever especially being in a room so close to it but we did end up changing rooms for a bigger room ! Hotel is pet friendly which is great to bring our dog !

A solo getaway for a mom who lived in the area in my prior life and this was the perfect hotel stay. The front desk staff, Donovan, was the sweetest. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, Starbucks, El Pollo Inka, and all the eateries on Pier Ave. my friends had an easy time getting me and dropping me off. The hotel was clean and quiet.

Even though I had two window views, they were both the sides of other bldgs. Other than that the room was nice and clean.

The room was of a weird shape - long and narrow. The hallway is a maze. Parking spots are narrow. Part of the parking in under the building and there is high chance of scratching your car because of support pillars. There was an issue with hot water. When I showered after 11pm - the water was warm but not how. Took ~10 min to get hotter water Breakfast is ok. First day they served bacon that was ok, second day - sausages which were berely edible. The hotel is located right on PCH, but with windows closed the noise was minimal. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, ~15 min walk to Hermosa beach Overal an ok stay
