Great room and breakfast

Breakfast was adequate~ we don't do well with powdered eggs so that was our biggest issue. Also it smelled like water damage somewhere they had a fan blowing from the time we checked in til the time we were checking out the fan was still on in the hallway. Staff was amazing went above and beyond, location was wonderful close to the beach.

Breakfast was interesting with the chicky that takes care of the breakfast room! DO NOT CLOSE THAT DOOR if you are cold, deal with the cold, trust me! Don't put ANY food on the ledge, EVEN if the room is packed and no where to sit! Just be cool, and don't move ANYTHING in that room!

This quality inn has VERY GOOD coffee the breakfast area is well maintained and clean the whole hotel is very clean and maintained well it’s also pretty quiet right outside the hotel is a little plaza that has a five below and Trader Joe’s plenty of places to eat all in all just a 10min walk to Hermosa Beach you will pay 10 a day for parking in the Hotel which is not bad for where you are staying I know my family and I would stay again

Also didnt like that they didnt have Netflix or movie channels on their TV.

Recently renovated rooms in a safe area and excellent parking. 15 minute walk to the beach and a really pleasant long (or short!) walk along the seafront. Good soundproofing from the road and good AC. Highly recommended and will absolutely be back!

The only thing wrong was the tv in the bedroom didn’t have connection to an antenna so we can’t see any channels.

Hotel is close to stores, restaurants and beach. Needs improvement on property quality and cleanliness. They did renovate some things but still has much room for improvement. Overall 3 put of 5 stars.

A well located hotel with easy access to Hermosa beach and LAX. Large rooms and lovely bed linen. Bathrooms dated and in the process id renovating some. The pool spa is tiny and its surrounds are not overly inviting. Breakfast was included and decent. A nice bonus.

Hotel is as advertised. Stayed on the 1st floor renovated room. It was quiet. Beds and pillows comfy. Breakfast is simple, but adequate. Didn't require parking. Staff was helpful and warm. They allowed us to store our suitcases for a few hours after checkout which is always appreciated. Love the location of this hotel. walking distance to the Hermosa Beach pier and many shops, cafes and restaurants. Trader Joe's just around corner as well as a very nice Peruvian restaurant. Have stayed before and would definitely book again.

Perfect hotel to be close to the beach cities but not crazy expensive. Has everything you need. No frills. But honestly one of the most comfortable hotel bed and pillow set ups I’ve ever had.

The place was so clean! Every staff member had a genuine smile and willingness to answer any questions never making you feel like they were in a hurry. Eating outside was a treat with a nice breakfast. Only a 15 minute walk to the beach at a reasonable price.

I had a great stay! The staff were kind and accommodating and the room was clean. I had a problem with the shower head and they had someone up to fix it within 5 minutes. I came for a surfing trip and it was a short drive to beaches and close to many restaurants and shops. I definitely recommend staying here.

What I didn’t like my friend was pregnant and every time we walk into the hotel, the smoking section is right in the entrance and people have no courtesy to step back further so she has to smell all that just to get her into her hotel so we booked a non-smoking room doesn’t make sense that needs to be addressed

We chose this hotel in Hermosa Beach because of its location and because it had a hot tub. There was another hotel that we had stayed at once before that we were going to stay at, but we thought it would be nice to have a hot tub at the end of our trip. We were sad that the hot tub was closed when we got there. Nowhere in the ad did it say that it was closed. Even though I understand they are under renovations it would’ve been nice to know that beforehand, so we could have chosen another hotel that was less expensive. Our room was very nice though and the breakfast was an average included breakfast.

The room at the hotel was very good. It was very big and even though it did not specify having an ocean view, the balcony had an ocean view. The location was excellent. Not walking distance to the beach but very short drive to the beach and waterfront restaurants. Staff was friendly and there is free parking on site. A BIG plus! There is construction and renovation going on so the workmen started drilling at 8 am. Most parts of the room looked renovated and some did not (sliding screen onto the balcony, tiles in bathroom. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy. Breakfast was sub-par. I would still stay here because of the location, parking, value and spaciousness of the room.

Friendly staff.

I called over the course of a week and kept being told the management would contact me, they never did. I felt lied to and very unsupported. My questions were never answered and no one ever got back to me. I will never stay here. The staff were not helpful before my trip. I asked questions they said only the manager could help me with and the manager was never there when I called back at the given time. They also never contacted me. I will never stay there and I will warn other people to not stay there.

Loved the location only a 10 min walk to Hermosa Beach and the Pier. Rooms were clean and spacious. Loved that the location was right next door to Trader Joe's. Definitely could see the ocean from our balcony. The only disappointment was that we were unaware the Hot tub and pool area was under renovation during our stay. However, we look forward to returning when renovations are completed.

Noisy room with clicking safe; staff says all safes do not work and are like this. No rooms have a quiet space because safes are all defective. Noisy afternoon first few hours with construction crew doing demo on 3rd floor. TV remote didn't work very well and got stuck on some kind of non-TV mode. Convenient location less than a block away from restaurant, shops, and a Trader Joe's.

When we arrived I really needed to use a restroom but the one in the lobby was being renovated. They wouldn’t even let me go to my room for a moment so we had to find a gas station that didn’t have toilet paper or paper towels. Yuck!

The construction upstairs started earlier than 8AM and woke me up.

Decent breakfast, nice water pressure. Unfortunately the smell of the carpet and or ac unit says they need to be replaced. I did have to burn candles and spray febreeze to enjoy the stay.

Main complaints that I have was that the so-called Continental Breakfast (which is on the 1st floor) was not nowhere near Continental is actually mainly left over breakfast. In the 6 days we were there after our first two days, they ran out of bacon, apple juice, bananas. We were told groceries would not be replenished until the 4th day later (after our 1st two days) and not be ready for breakfast until the 5th day which we would have already left. They have cold hard boiled eggs, we asked how to warm up the eggs, if you don’t ask you would never have known that the microwave is on the 2nd floor. Why not have a microwave in the same room/floor? If you have fixed your other food, then have to go upstairs to another floor to warm up your eggs

However our room, #110 needs a new roller, exhaust fan in bathroom is out. No freezer in the refrigerator, to keep our blue ice chilled. Breakfast is satisfactory. Employees are pleasant.

In one room the shades did not close so I woke up to sunlight in the morning. The toilet ran off and on all night. The lights in one room I couldn't get to come on.

Parking is ample and convenient, though it comes at an extra cost. The breakfast area offers a charming outdoor terrace, but the buffet selection is very limited. The staff were excellent—friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. Given the current state of the rooms and breakfast offerings, the rates feel a bit steep for what’s on offer.

In the middle of renovations, so some areas were nice and some were still waiting for very much needed reno. The advertised pool is just a very big hot tub, also unused because renovations, but the beach was easily accessible by public transportation/walking. Very conveniently located, good for the price. Friendly front desk, if a bit absent. Maintenance requests addressed in a timely manner, although I shouldn’t have had to need them. Good for budget traveling and you do get a beautiful view

Clean rooms, comfy beds and pillows, very accessible and easy check in. Highly recommend. Breakfast was simple but good, bagels, toast, waffles, orange juice, coffee, yogurt and sausage. Outside patio for breakfast, very relaxing. All the staff was super super nice. Would definitely stay again. 15 min walk to beach. Plenty of dinning options, nail salons and e-bikes around.

I paid for a king bed with a jacuzzi tub in room which we didn’t get. No pool or hot tub available for use. Beds are hard and pillows are horrible still have neck and back pain and it’s been two days.

My reason for staying at Quality Inn was a staycation for my birthday. Although, the property is being renovated the service was great . Comfortable sleeping and a window view of the ocean. Nice suite I was very pleased with my stay. I will visit again soon.

When I visit Hermosa Beach, I work close by in Manhattan Beach and also do Karate in Lomita. This is very convenient with Starbucks and Trader Joe’s close by. Since this was my 3rd visit the staff treats me very well.

We had a good stay. This Hotel is under constructions, and you can smell the old with the new so at times that was unpleasant. I would have to open the patio door to not come back to the mildew smell. I want to talk about the employee (female) that serviced us breakfast every day. She was absolutely amazing, and I appreciated her every day and she brought a smile to myself, and my girls faces. We were there for Nationals for Beach Volleyball and whether she knew it or not, she was so helpful, kind, considerate every day. Our stay was for 7 days. Her consistency was so appreciated, and she treated every person this way. She smiled, was never rude and just a wonderful person. Please make sure she reads this; I hate that I never got her Name! The front desk was always pleasant along with any of the Maids we said hello to or needed something from. Regardless of the condition of the Hotel right now, it was cleaned, organized and the workers were wonderful people

Pool was out of service

I booked on expedia and expected hot tub and was told when we arrived that the hotel was under renovations. I was VERY disappointed about hottub not available and the only reason I booked it because I have medical issues. expedia did not say the hotel was under renovations and I did not like ocean view - was far away and did not have a patio to sit and see ocean view. I paid extra to have oceanview and was ver disappointed. iwould like a credit of some sort or I do not feel comfortable ever reserving under expedia and I have used this site for many years. My son lives in california and I travel quite a bit. This is my first bad review on a property.

Roo. Was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but met my needs. Great location. 16 minute walk to the beach. Hot tub was out of order which was a big let down, but staff compensated. Overall good stay.

Unfortunately, the rooms haven’t been updated yet, and it shows. Ours had a musty, damp smell that didn’t go away, even with the door open — though the street noise made that trade-off unpleasant. The carpet felt damp and dirty, so I avoided going barefoot. The king bed was comfortable, but the pillows were overly thick. The sofa had a noticeable stain on the cushion, so I had to request extra towels just to sit on it. Only two thin towels were provided initially. The sofa bed sheets had yellow stains, and when I asked for fresh ones, I was given a rollaway mattress instead — which also had uncomfortable springs and didn’t sleep well. The bathroom was disappointing: peeling wallpaper, dirty-looking corners, and overall poor upkeep made it feel unclean. Breakfast was a nice option to have, and I appreciated the inclusion of protein items like egg bites and sausage, though they weren’t very good (powdery eggs and overcooked meat). There were also waffles, toast, bagels, and yogurt — enough to grab something quick before heading out. Parking was available, which I appreciated, and the location is convenient — close to Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, and a 15-minute walk to the beach. Just note that the hotel is right on a busy street

The safe deposit was broken, internal phone broken, swimming pool under renovation, the breakfast slowed adding the food, line to toss the bagel.

We stayed because our family was attending a sports event. The curtains were ripped, attached together with duct tape, the wall was peeling , the carpet was old , the room smelled that it hasn’t been opened . We did not have the choice to go somewhere since all the hotels around were sold out. Worst experience ever.

I traveled from Redding to Manhattan Beach the only reason I got this hotel because of their hot tub why I should have to the property they said they're hot tub was not working main reason I got the hotel was for that reason was asking about a discount so pretty disappointed

I stayed on the third floor and had a king suite, so the room was huge. I had a view of the ocean and a small kind of balcony although there's no seating. It's about a 15-minute walk down to the pier with a lot of dining options on the way. There's a Starbucks right next door as well and at trader Joe's. Parking is pretty convenient. Staff were pretty friendly.

This facility really wasn’t as maintained as I’m used to. It was kind of dirty and you could tell it was worn. I expected better for the price. I paid quite a bit of money for my room and I couldn’t recommend this to another person.

Nice location it was been remodeled

Great stay but i was disappointed that the pool was not open. I was looking forward to that. Plus something bit me one night, but that was probably my fault for leaving the balcony screen door open.

Staff was very nice, and there was plenty of parking.

The construction/ renovation is less than optimum

Room was great. Perfect distance from places to hang out on Hermosa Beach. You do need to drive and park over there but super close. Hotel is under going construction so looks rough but I'm sure it will look nice when it's done.

Was not informed of renovation under way when booking. Bed comfort poor.

The staff and our room was first class. Some renos were in progress, however the workers were the least disruptive as they could be. This was appreciated.

The place is nice, like that the rooms have been redone. Would have been nice to know that most of the property is under construction. The outdoor hot tub is closed, and there is construction happening on the lobby, the hallways, and breakfast area so right now the breakfast room is TINY. not enough places to sit to eat and only one woman manning the food so everything is constantly out. Breakfast would be nice to have a couple more options and to be restocked more often. At least my hallway on floor one had unpainted drywall and plastic on the floor. So careful not to lean on the wall or you will get white powder from the drywall all over your clothes. One perk, is they have a covered parking garage and I bet this place will be super nice once construction is actually complete.

Great spacious and very clean room. Wonderful customer service and so close to restaurants, bars, and the pier.

If you’re looking for a place to get a relaxing stay on a budget then I highly recommend staying here. The personal jacuzzi was amazing.

Under renovation

The lobby was raw drywall. The hall way to our room was covered in plastic and drywall dust. Not pool or hot tub available.

The hotel was under construction and the hot tub was closed.

This was the perfect location for my trip - close to the beach and my father's house. While renovations were going on, they waited until after eight to start.

The only fly in the ointment is that the hotel is being renovated and the gym cannot be used.

Had a great stay here will totally be back! Thank you!

Good for one night stay only

The hotel is close to the beach, Starbucks, shopping area and freeway access. Great location in the South Bay.

Most of the amenities were closed due to construction. Sucks but nonetheless good service.

Hotel is okay if you REALLY need a place to stay. We didn’t keep our luggage in the room when we left. There was construction going on which is understandable but it was literally right outside our room . Wouldn’t recommend personally.

We loved how repetitively close everything was. We were able to walk to dinner and to the beach for lunch. Peaceful

Even though it is under going renovations it was still quiet and not chaotic with workers there. Looking forward to staying there again when renovations are complete.

Great room and close to quite a bit of shopping and dining options. It's about a mile to walk to Hermosa Beach but it's a quick and easy walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location. I felt safe while on the property and in the vicinity. The hotel is in the middle of a renovation. It’s old and needs it but our room definitely needed an update. Once the reno is done the price will probably go up, but for now the location for the price was fine.

As of now, the property is clearly going through a renovation. So in the coming months it definitely has high potential for improvements. For now, there should be concessions like free parking, and free bottled water in the room. There is a little nickel and diming going on. The hot tub (one of the reasons for booking) was out of service. On a two night stay we never received house keeping. On the good side, the hotel is in a good area, and about a 10 min walk to the beachfront. The free breakfast had plenty of selections. And the attendant was friendly. The cost of the room, which was large, was fair.

This property is going under renovations, which is OK but no notification no spa. The laundry room is a joke. It’s on the wash system, but it doesn’t take the wash app you have to put quarters the front desk didn’t have any soap or quarters sent you to Trader Joe’s they have one washing machine That overflows two dryers and one doesn’t work one elevator that was out. I sent a message for an extra night. They never responded. Front door sticks hard all of the molding at the bottom by the carpet and the bathroom floor needs to be replaced. They have a brochure in the room that says they do room service, which they don’t, and the front desk staff Excuse is they haven’t been sending us supplies because we’re under construction. The breakfast is mediocre. They have a waffle machine and sausages only hard boiled eggs nothing else fresh a few bagels, coffee, juice, etc. not as Problematic as the rest of the Property.

The website didn’t tell you they are under renovation and the hot tub/spa is out of order through the summer.

Parking cost was not included in the room rate, $20 extra. The hot breakfast was good for “free”, waffles, sausage, bagels. Outdoor corridors but a small balcony with a beautiful ocean view.
