The lighting was dim throughout hotel. Inside the room, lights were fine, however wish the restroom lights were brighter. For woman applying makeup, bringing extra lighting and personal hand mirror is highly recommended. Bed was comfortable and room had adjustable AC access. No parking available, only valet. We were told valet would be a one time charge of $50-$60, but ended up being a total of $70 with service fees and taxes!(Which was not explained to us over the phone when we called to ask) Overall, overnight stay was decent, but wouldn’t really recommend.

The location is great, staff are also very friendly I was charged twice for the deposit.... 3weeks later both deposits have not returned... I'm waiting for 1000 dollars still

Starting with the valet and check-in service, the associates were extremely welcoming. I had a slight mishap but the front desk assisted in resolving it. Overall, great location, great room, and great service!

When I got there it was ok, the staff was good but the hotel itself self wasn’t that good. For the price I would expect a lot better. My sink was clogged up and the elevator stopped working a few times on my two day day. I mean it isn’t that bad but if your going to pay that much might as well stay somewhere else.

Stayed for One Night while Enjoying an Astros Game. No Problems. Staff was Friendly and Helpful. Property Was Clean. Starbucks and Bar were on Property. Within Walking Distance of Ballpark.

Booking this hotel I had high expectations since at other AC hotels I had an amazing experience. However, this property was a bit different. This hotel is located downtown Houston so please be aware of the many homeless people hanging around. Checking in was breeze everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. After checking in we decided to grab a drink at the hotel's bar and the bartender there was extremely rude. Questioning why we were asking questions about drink ingredients and overall being rude and unprofessional. Needless to say we never returned to the bar our entire stay. The hotel room was okay smaller than expected. The bed was really soft. The housekeeping staff were really friendly and helpful. Having a Starbucks on the property was a plus for us unfortunately one day of our stay they had to shutdown due system failure. My only suggestion is to train the staff on customer service and professionalism. Myself among other visitors wasn't pleased with the unpleasant service we received for the price we had paid.

The breakfast buffet was a little unusual with cold cuts instead of bacon or sausage. But the waffles were good and there was a good selection of fresh fruit.

I’m sure it’s a nice hotel but what they don’t tell you is that even if you book on here and pay in full, SIX MONTHS in advance, they can still be overbooked (because rewards members take precedent?) and move you to a Holiday Inn several blocks away once you arrive. No prior notice (even though this was already decided prior to our arrival). It was extremely inconvenient and disheartening. I’m sure it’s a nice hotel but we didn’t make it past the lobby. Valet people were super nice and the manager was nice enough and apologized but the way this all works is just insane.

Austin and Sara were amazing. They listen provided me a tooth brush and tooth paste. I left my at home, share info on the area and were very professional and friendly.

There were homeless people all around the hotel begging. Valet was SIXTY FOUR dollars a day. The lobby gave luxury vibes but the actual rooms and hallways gave MOTEL. Rooms were super SMALL I could reach my leg onto the other bed from my bed . LOW WATER PRESSURE from the sink . Bathroom shower was nice . Staff was mid could’ve been more welcoming . The staff when I was leaving was fine . This place is overly hyped .

The overall experience was amazing. Small hotel with a large hotel feel. The employees are all super amazing and friendly. Willing to assist with any request and just made it an enjoyable stay.

The evening staff at check out in was great They are what made this hotel stand out! We checked in after 8 and the 2 of them for amazing! The basic, plain room. The noise level, the brightness in room. We had just moved from The Blossom, paying around the same amount. So very disappointed when arriving and everything resembling more of a 2 star hotel.

Location was close to the venue. Immaculate rooms and comfortable beds with a sound machine in each room! Nothing.

Paying for the parking, didn’t know they had construction going on so we had to park in a garage 2 blocks down and walk all the way to the hotel. Also it was $20 to park in the garage even if your parked for less the an hour everytime so yeah that sucked.

The breakfast was phenomenal, the front desk staff exceeded my expectations, My husband and I wILL be back. We also felt safe. Love having the police on duty There was nothing I didn't like.

Hosts were very courteous and the hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Only issue I had was, I wish they could have explained the self parking a bit better. I was only staying for one night and they pretty much make it seem like all the parking garages charge you every time on the in and out, when in fact, they don't.

The hotel was at a great location and had a good service, but only issue was the mattress. We got a king size bed and the mattress was terrible. It was way to soft you could feel the bottom part of the bed. The pillows were also bad and uncomfortable. Overall great location but just beds could be better.

Property advertised that they have parking on site that was limited and they had a pool in the Jacuzzi. That was not true. It was very disappointing to find out these things. Also, the front desk clerk didn't inform us that I key cards was shut down before 11 o'clock and lock us out our room. The overall experience was OK, but it could've been better.

The hotel was fine and location was great but whoever handles the valet parking was terrible. They make you download an app and then sent messages saying our parking was expired. Then, they charged us morenthan what the hotel advertised as the parking fee. The hotel took no responsibility for the parking and did not help with issues.

I had such a great experience during my stay, and I have to give a special shoutout to Tracy at the front desk! She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and made check-in so smooth and easy. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests—she made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Her warmth and professionalism didn’t go unnoticed, and I truly hope her team knows how much of a gem she is. Thank you, Tracy! 💖

The room was nicely designed and clean, but the mattress was saggy and there was so much city noise and such a lack of insulation that they provide a sound machine and earplugs.

Noisy as heck with the trolley and a lot of homeless people around. This comment is less about the homeless and more about fixing the problem.

my stay at the AC was great! room was very very veryyy clean. you can opt for daily housekeeping at no extra charge which is a plus. all staff members that i interacted with were nice. i have nothing bad to say about my stay.

Another thing to keep in mind is the noise level day AND night. We were on a high floor and were constantly awaken by sirens, horn honking and noise from the street at random times in the middle of the night. They could use some noise canceling curtains. They have a noise machine as well as ear plugs on the room so you know it’s noisy. There’s a good hall across the street and several dining options around. Parking is an issue in general but the hotel offers valet parking for $50 a night which seems a bit high but it’s the going rate around the area. it has a small exercise room, free to use laundry room consisting of a washer and dryer, and a roomy lobby. I wish the room had been ready and clean upon arrival. Overall a 6/10.

We checked in early and front desk said there was a room available but only on 2nd floor. She asked if that was okay, we aren't picky people. However my husband did say "is it louder?" She said it's right above us on this counter but no. Room was perfect, comfy bed, nice ammentiest, etc. LOUD is an understatment, the Metro train was right outside our window and runs continously. I wish she'd been more honest on the noise issue. Will make sure I tell my travel cleints this when visiting or pick a different room. Kind of frustrating since i'm a valued Marriott rewards memeber. Live and learn

My stay at AC Hotel downtown Houston was amazing. The hotel itself and my room was clean. Being a woman, traveling alone I felt safe at this location. There were a few people hanging out front as this is the downtown area, but nothing that made me feel uncomfortable. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and professional. The guy that checked me in (I forgot his name) was very helpful, he assisted me with catching the train to the rodeo, since this was my first time in Houston and on a train. I was constantly asked if I was okay and if I needed anything. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Our room was as described. Had everything we needed. Very clean property! Only downfalls were the noise level outside (we were on floor 2 in a corner room and the windows aren’t very soundproof from the tram on two sides for pretty much the entire night. Sounded like bad thunder very often. Ear plugs were provided but not used to sleeping with them) and the $18/person, all you can eat, European style breakfast buffet (they couldn’t keep the food stocked fast enough and they weren’t necessarily packed with people) Would stay again if we could be guaranteed a higher floor.

It was so loud ! The train runs late so it kept me up . Also the other guest were loud it sounded like they were in the room .

Enjoyed our stay, great hotel! Only issue we had is it was not that quiet. Our room was right over a main road and we could hear all traffic and music from surrounding buildings. However, this would not stop me from staying here again.

The staff at the reception was rude either on the phone they was so disrespectful and didn’t hear to my request and hang up on me and in person the receptionist was lazy and not professional we asked her if we paid for breakfast she was too lazy to recheck on our reservation just says no and the next morning when we went to pay for breakfast they told us by another receptionist that we already paid for it. The room was clean tho. But the staff terrible!

Stayed in a room next to a train station. Train horns were constantly making noise every 10 minutes 24/7
