    The room was fine and the bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was ok, and we even received a small complimentary bottle of water in the room, although it was a double occupancy. The view was great and the location was excellent for our needs. I expected the hotel to be much more modern than it actually was. For example, the bathroom had a small bathtub instead of a shower cabin. I haven't seen such tubs in European hotels for a long time. I noticed that the American hotels we stayed in had an old, dated vibe, which was more or less prominent. The bathroom faucet was leaking and the fan was poor, didn't seem to work very well. Another thing I noticed is that hotels in America do not have a minibar; there is a fridge, but it's empty. At the reception, the staff wasn't very knowledgeable. They charged us a deposit of over $300, yet they couldn't even tell us if there was an ATM in the area. One of the escalators was out of order and I expected to find a luggage scale at reception, but they didn't have one. The lobby area was poorly designed and felt bare. I think the hotel industry in America should really take lessons from Europe. They have fallen behind...

    They overall stay was great the staff was very helpful and the place was clean. My only complaint would be travel to the parking deck it’s kind of aggravating. I stayed in room 521 and the shower head was a bit messed up but still worked just happens to leak a bit at the top. Loved staying at the double tree overall and had an amazing time on my Houston visit. Hope to come back and would definitely recommend to others and book again if needed.

    The gentleman that checked me in at night was really a delight, so was the valet guy. I think the only issue I had was that I called for my car to be picked up from valet because I was walking out of my room, but they did not want to go get my car until they saw me in person which defeated the purpose of me calling and I was already needing to be somewhere at a certain time. It was also raining. I just wish that they would have gotten my car when I called so that it could be there when I arrived.

    If you are new to the area parking garage will be kind of hard if you take a wrong turn. The room was clean and cold. Just one night staying there and the toilet chain had disconnected from the handle from inside and the shower handle came off as well lol 😂 but overall clean. Also the fridge was not on. Staff was very professional and chill.

    The Doubletree Greenway Plaza is not a new facility but it is updated and well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. Two of the escalators to the parking structure were not working. Self parking can be challenging, so I would recommend valet.

    The check in process was horrible because they could not find our reservation. When they did it was charged to a card that did not belong to us. The air conditioning system was deplorable in the hallways. It was our niece's college graduation and we referred all family members to that hotel. They ALL had check in issues. We did not even stay at the hotel because it was such a hassle and we still got charged. The parking garage broke the rack on our SUV and the parking meter did not work in the underground garage. We finally paid $40 after a huge hassle at the front desk. The rooms were not well taken care of and the staff was untrained and overworked because they lacked decorum in difficult situations. Hilton has lapsed in its service and its quality. The Doubletree Greenway Plaza needs a full makeover and better management.

    It is next to an office complex and next to a highway. Not the best for food or shopping. But it was the nearest hotel to where I had to be daily Housekeeping staff were not on top of things. Used cups were not replenished and half used soaps were thrown out but no new soap given. Lotions and shampoo bottles were near empty

    My family arrived Friday evening March 21 as my wife was approaching the lobby area to check in, she was wasn’t able to drive through do to a lot of bikers being in the area over populating the area with the bikes . We have a 2 year old they had loud music, people drinking in the front of the hotel. Loud bikes we weren’t able to sleep through . This situation was ongoing for the whole weekend . This situation was brought up to the proper management, no action was taking . Having no empathy for other stayers in the hotel. Valet parking was horrible and with me paying for 2 vehicles for 3 days. My wife’s vehicle and mine . I picked up my vehicle at 3am to drive to work. Valet assistance wasn’t in the area, the wait was for over 45 min. My drive to work is over 1 hr. When the valet attendant showed up he had a string odor of marihuana, of course this odor stayed in my vehicle for over 45 min. One night my wife’s vehicle Yukon 2026 was left on the side of the road not properly being parked in the correct area . Just a horrible experience overall in this hotel. Just pay up some more and go stay Royal Sonesta or any other hotel by galleria area or downtown.

    This time the only electrical outlet on the nightstand didn’t work & the lamp where it was located had to be changed out. The accessible shower Is not user friendly & the hook to hang the hand held shower head was missing. In a previous stay the commode was the problem. The tech outlets are too far from the nightstand. The staff always responds quickly to problems but the fact there is always something is annoying.

    All the staff, except the front desk were very kind, professional, and didn’t mae me feel like I was bothering them. The breakfast staff and the Starbucks staff were excellent. The front desk staff, after I asked for a physical key, made me feel like I was asking for a whole new room, bothered and annoyed. There was a panel in my closet that was hanging down, so I could see the wires and cobwebs in the crawl space. A maintenance man came by, 30 minutes after I entered my room for the first time and said someone called for a light bulb to be changed. Traveling alone, I said I did not call. I eventually found the broken light bulb, but it wasn’t a light I needed, so I never called him back. I asked for a room on the app, they gave me a different room when I checked in. The drain in the shower didn’t, so I had a dirty tub after every shower. I feel did not feel like this was a Hilton hotel. It was 5 minutes away from the bus stop. A lot of food that is walking distance around.

    Be prepared/forced to pay for valet if you drive a truck or other tall vehicle. The parking at this location was a nightmare and is very limited. The property/garage was built 50 yrs ago and has not been updated. It will not accommodate certain vehicles.

    Breakfast was $18 per person and looked like a continental breakfast. We asked for robes, in person in the lobby, to be brought up and never arrived. The water in the shower smelled like the ocean in corpus. The check in staff was average. And I paid for Valet and all they did was park my car on arrival. I left 3 times during my stay and was given my key each time and I parked it myself. I was only “valet-ed” once.

    Staff was friendly and gave me a new room right away. This was on a higher floor so I guess they assumed it would be better. Wrong. While it was up to their standards of clean, it was very worn down. Ceiling failing apart and water leaking every time the shower is on. Carpet stains galore, dirty lamp shades and the AC was so loud that it sounded like an unbalanced washing machine. I had to leave it off the entire 3 day stay. I will not stay here again and I do not recommend unless you don’t care about the things mentioned. I travel monthly domestic and/or internationally and this the first negative review that I’ve had to make in years. It was that bad.

    Do not stay here!! Paid $250 /night for 2 nights. Escalators were broke, water leakes, air condition out for a couple hours, lastly my truck got hit the cement cielings in the parking garage. Told me i was clear to go in and then hotel and valet denied responsiblitlity then they all said they woulld cover my valet so when i was checking out they said they couldnt cover both nights of valet only 1. I will never stay here again!!! Dont say i didnt warn you!!

    Upon arriving early was told no rooms were available which was fine but I came back in the evening to find out that the computers were down so checking in was a nightmare. No towels in the room. Stayed two nights and only the A/C was working. No heat even when set to 80 degrees. Definitely won't return to this hotel.

    The room was a king corner room and it was nice. The bed was comfortable, the view was nice, and it was clean. The only downside was that it was cold and the heater was not blowing warm air. A highlight was Carmen in the restaurant Stigs. Very pleasant young woman and great service. She made breakfast enjoyable with good conversation. Overall the stay was nice and will do again.

    The location is great, though some of my friends had a hard time finding the garage entrance They were having some “glitch” in the system when we arrived where the cards would not open the doors. They had warned us that the key might not work and to use the phone by the elevator to call down but that phone was not working. So we had to go back down to the lobby. The up escalator from the parking garage level was not working. We had to stand outside our room for almost an hour to get in while the maintenance man “tried” to gain access. It was New Year’s Eve and we were going to an event there. I had to go to a bathroom by the lobby to start getting ready and it was very inconvenient. They finally changed our room and it was supposed to be a better room. Maybe the location? It was a decent room. However the blanket was thin. We requested a blanket and got this thin throw sized thing that only one of us could use. The heater was not working and it was freezing in our room. I think the ac was actually on. I had to sleep with lots of clothes on. There were no coffee cups in the room only lids. So housekeeping had not done a great job in checking and restocking those.

    Room had no heat, had to move to another room. In the new room the toilet had to be repaired. In my wifes room, the sink water was hot but the shower water was only lukewarm. Both rooms felt cold just a few feet from the heat vents. The corridors and Sprig restaurant were always cold. The exceptional cold weather was part of the problem. Desk staff were helpful and sent maintenance to the room when called. Except when we asked for a new remote control, no one came. Housekeeping service was good as was valet . Valet John really stood out with his help.

Only issues was the texting was non-existent as it was not working majority of the time, so you have to go downstairs to request your car - But they do park it right outside so it is convenient.

    The bedside light was flickering and also the vanity mirror lights in the bathroom. One out of the two didn’t work and also the water sprinkler in the roof of the bathroom looked rusty and should be changed. Room 805. Also the underground garage door is locked all day to encourage you to pay for valet parking instead. That’s just plain wrong. Especially because paying for visitors parking with greenway cost me less for four days than I would pay for valet parking with Hilton.

    valet Damaged the inside of our car and after reporting denied our claim as wear and tear. Insane how you put trust into a hotel with your vehicle just for them to turn around and try to blame you for an incident they caused. the plastic they broke off was still hanging on yet they think the car was like that prior. I remember seeing her slide off the seat hearing plastic break and the lady who valeted our car saying “opp “and her being shocked. Not only were we in a rush but it was late and we had reservations, reported the incident as soon as we got back. was told management would talk to us next day before we checked out in the morning. WRONG !No one was able to help us and they told us try again tomorrow. I am not a resident of houston so I was not able to hope that someone would be there. All for me to hop on a call with a property manager who said they would review our pictures and I guess statements from the lady to DENY it as wear and tear. A separate party who came down with us also experienced damage to their car as the bottom of their car was dragging! Was told that they also just had wear and tear. Hotel was great nice staff , clean just DO NOT valet your car very sketchy.

    Had a great time in Houston. Loved the cookies!!! Front desk female hospitality team was super helpful & welcoming. The food at the restaurant was great, was impressed that the burger was fulfilling and tasty. Also, They offer a courtesy shuttle within 3 Mile radius, so we took that to Lakewood church. Corey was so welcoming and nice. The only downfall is that the breakfast buffet could be better.

    Overall this property was okay. The escalators from the garage were broken. You have to pay to park which is 30/ night. There is a Starbucks in the inside so I could get coffee every morning. The free cookies were good. My room was okay. The lighting in the bathroom was dim. The shower was average. I liked the fact that if you are going to Lakewood Church you can get there through the parking garage. Overall it was just an okay experience.

    If you’re going to Lakewood Church, it’s really convenient because it’s walkable, but it is extremely difficult to find and to get into and to find where to get into it. It’s difficult to find where to park and you have to park way underground, a bit like a dungeon. Instead of it being included with the room, they added onto the price of the room so you pay about $33 a day for the very inconvenient, pretty frustrating parking. Also, they took a $75 security deposit from me on my debit card in addition but did not give it back when I checked out. He told me I would have to wait. Now it’s 24 hours later and it’s still not on my debit card and there is no way to talk to a person at the hotel, which is probably the most frustrating part and probably the reason for me to give them a one star review. When you try and call the hotel, you talk to a robot computer who cannot help you at all and when they ask for your itinerary number and you start to say what it is they cut you off so now I’m trying to figure out how to get my $75 security deposit back.

    The shower in my room 221 had only cold water for the 3 days I was there. The sink had hot water, so there was some plumbing issue, as opposed to there being an “operator error”. Very disappointing and not what I would expect of a doubletree. Because I was there on business, with early morning meetings, I did not have time to wait around for maintenance to repair it.

    The guy that was working Valet when we left was the Greateat EVER!!! He was there when we got there and he was there when we left. He went over and beyond. He did stuff for me and my son and was just Great and Awesome!!! Nothing more i can say about him!!! It was a Great stay there and we will be going back there to stay!!!

    Upon arrival, the parking garage was VERY hard to find, creepy, and difficult navigate through. The first set of escalators were out of order so I had to carry my suitcase and carry on up it. Once I checked in I was informed that I had to pay for a daily parking rate despite under the impression that there was a free parking. When trying to leave in and out the garage, my key card barely worked to let me out and I had to ring the front desk 80% of the time for them to let me in or out. Once I arrived in my room, it looked very out dated and runned down. While getting ready in the bathroom I noticed a huge gap in the panels above me. I immediately felt uncomfortable as I could easily push up the panels. It looked somewhat like a trap door or something that someone could peak in to while I was in the bathroom. The front desk was able to switch me rooms which I really appreciated, but upon arrival my first initial impressions were very low. Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, I would probably never stay here again, let alone even a Hilton.

    I booked this hotel for a girls' trip to celebrate my sister's 50th & my 47th birthday! The 1st indication of an issue was that 1 of the 2 escalators needed to get to check-in was not working. We had to drag our bags up a very long escalator! Check-in was smooth, as the front desk staff was courteous & helpful. We had a dinner reservation, so we left our room with enough time to make it on time. We got to the garage & realized we were stuck. The line of cars was ridiculous! We sat in our car, unable to leave. We were TRAPPED in the parking garage for over 30 minutes! No explanation was given. We were unable to reach the restaurant to let them know what was going on bc there was no cell reception in the garage! When the line finally started moving, were saw a staff member & asked what was going on. By this time, anxiety was setting in. We were told that the exit gate was not working. We were let out manually one car at a time by staff. Thankfully, after much begging, the restaurant allowed us to stay, even though we were about 45 minutes late. Upon check out, we had a brunch reservation. We, of course left with enough time to make it, just in case the garage gate was still out. We waited at the elevator for over 15 minutes. The door opened & it was full. We continued waiting, 10 minutes later another full elevator opened & the passengers told us to take the stairs bc they waited 20 min. WE WERE ON THE 6TH FLOOR WITH LUGGAGE! Then, had to walk down the broken escalator again!

    . Was a pretty lobby. But $18 breakfast that we had no clue about. We were told to go have breakfast while we waited on our room with no mention at all about the $18 pp fee at all. Also charge $75 PER NIGNT fee when over the phone I was told $50 per night. Room was comfortable but shower had a bit of mold. I would still give my stay a 7.5 outta 10. Bartender was super nice. The staff as a whole were nice.

    Room was way too cold. Called front desk at 3am, they sent an engineer up and honestly it didn’t make a difference. The room didn’t warm up until around 7am. Also, was not a fan of the weed smell coming from one of the rooms nearby.

    Honestly, I'm a little disappointed. When we checked in, we were given key cards to someone else's room. Scared a woman half to death because it was 2 in the morning. Were given 2 free breakfasts to make up for it, which were really gross. Food looked and tasted like it had been reheated numerous times. Breakfast sandwiches were not fresh. We really didn't eat it. Glad it was free. Pool needs a good cleaning. Escalator didn't work and it seemed like it hadn't worked for awhile. Then when we were leaving, waited 20 minutes for an elevator (we were on the 18th floor with luggage so walking the stairs was not an option) because they were having problems with it. Doesn't seem like they are keeping things up. I guess I just expected more from a DoubleTree.

    It was not listed on the property that they were renovating the first room that we were in had blood or rust or something on the sheets. The second room as we ran the water the next day it was pure brown water coming out and then it started to turn, grayish blackish, and They just offered to switch rooms and I requested a refund because I don’t think it was safe to wash and brush my teeth and everything and that type of water.

    The staff here is absolutely amazing and the bar is super nice with fantastic drinks and food! The rooms are a bit dated and definitely needs to be upgraded with functional equipment the dresser door was completely gone the carpet was stained badly and the lampshade had mold or a large amount of dust on the rim! I must admit I expected a better considering it was a Double Tree Hilton!

    It was good just getting to hotel was a little confusing because it’s attached to a few different places I guess. Parking n getting out was a nightmare. Need better signage . Especially when you get into hotel because when you park to go check in you have to go up the escalator twice before you see lobby. So thankfully after a fews minutes I found it. 1st escalator was broken and no elevator. Greatful 2nd one worked so pack lightly. Once we checked in room and view we’re nice. Leaving parking lot was a nightmare due to once again signage and bad directions of placement of signs.
