The elevator was out the entire time I was there. They were fully booked the first night I was there and my bathroom smelled light a dead rotting rat. I got moved the next day. I have stayed here twice before for a conference but I won’t next year.

The hotel is in process of renovations with elevator, not working and appliances all over the hallways. Some plugs didn’t work either.

I was ever disappointed upon arrival. I knew before entering the building what I was about to face. The room was clean but I can tell the building was old based on the smell, the hall carpets, the appliances along with the tub. Let me not forget the elevator was down for sure per reviews I found and read during my stay. By the way, the worker told the coach that night, May 1, 2026 that the elevator was down and it will be up the next day; elevator was still down up until that Sunday.

Staff were excellent and supportive as I needed to stay an extra hour and they accommodated my request. However, the room smelled cigarettes and felt dirty. Its also a very noisy place and someone who is sensitive to noise can find it difficult to sleep.

The personnel actually saved the less than pleasant experience. Air conditioning totally under your control and was reactive. Bed and pillows were comfy. The elevator was broken the entire time. The lobby looked like they were doing construction, cause there was plaster on the floor. The elevator had a sign on it that it was out of order. The staff person assured me that the elevated works because my room was on the third floor got to my room. the room was filthy. The refrigerator would not open. I had medication that needed to be refrigerated. Tried to call down to the front desk, the phone did not work went back downstairs and demanded to be checked out and to receive a refund. The staff person process the request so I’m asking Expedia to process my refund because of the condition of the hotel.

The staff was amazing, but there is only so much they can do. This place is a hazard tub and sinks not draining, old sheets with worn thin spots,elevators not working, homeless people I could go on and on. They told my sister she could use the elevator and she got stuck on it. They should shut down while renovating. It is unfair to the clients.

Booked because I needed a last minute place to stay. Elevator was not working. I had to lug my bags up to the third floor.

Room was mediocre. Kitchette wasn’t already stocked with glassware, silverware, etc. you had to “order” a package to receive those items in your room. Room was clean. Bathtub/shower drain cap was not attached to drain. Shower had very low water pressure & had a very very uneven spray. Elevator was out of order my whole stay, 3 days, 2 nights. Breakfast was near nonexistent. It was a “grab & go” breakfast is what they called it, coffee, 2 prepackage muffin choices & I think a multigrain bar. Yes, that’s was was offered as their breakfast. Front desk clerk was never at desk. Only saw a front desk person when I or someone else was checking in. No front desk clerk was at desk at any other time of me going in and out of hotel. That made me feel very unsafe. However, hotel is close to dining, shopping & entertainment. Location was the best part of this hotel.

I was on the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of service. I checked into this room, looked around, pulled the sheets back, then immediately checked out. The room was filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke. There was what looked like body fluid on the mattress protector and what appeared to be a pubic hair on the wall in the bathroom. I’m waiting to see if I’m going to get at least one night of my prepaid stay refunded.

Very decent accommodations. I requested a handicapped room and they were going to put us on the third floor. And the elevator was not functioning. That was impossible for my wife and I. We were put in a non-handicapped room that created very uncomfortable situations. I cannot see ever placing mobility handicapped people on anything but the first floor.

This hotel was a bit of a mixed experience. The overall property felt dated, and cleanliness could definitely use some improvement—it didn’t give the freshest impression. That said, the beds were surprisingly comfortable, easily the highlight of the stay. If they put some effort into updating and deep cleaning the place, it could be a much better experience.

The tv didn't work I talked to the person on the front desk and he said he would come see about it and he didn't come. This morning I started to take a shower and tried to adjust the temperature and it quickly went to all hot and would not come down. I called the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I think I should get a refund of some amount.

I flew into Houston with my family for the Rodeo (March 14–17), expecting a convenient stay, but this hotel was a nightmare from the moment we pulled up. The Grounds: The exterior was a mess with trash scattered everywhere. It felt completely neglected. The Smell: As soon as we stepped inside, we were hit with a heavy, stale stench of cigarette smoke. Accessibility Fail: We booked two rooms, one of which was on an upper floor. We quickly discovered the elevator was out of order. This was a dealbreaker for us, as one member of our party has ambulatory issues and cannot navigate stairs. To the manager’s credit (at the time), they acknowledged the situation and agreed to cancel our entire reservation and issue a full refund so we could find accommodations elsewhere. We left and checked into a different hotel. The Real Issue: It is now March 18th, and not only has the refund not been processed, but we were charged full price for a stay we didn't even use. I have been passed around the customer service loop with zero resolution. They agree to things in person but don't follow through once you’re out the door. Save yourself the headache and the money—do not bother staying here.

Location was fine but upon arrival of my 5 night stay the elevator was broken and my room was on the 3rd floor. I had my 4 year old and 70 year old handicap mother with me for the stay and the hotel had no way of accommodating us for this inconvenience. Also, the floors in the room were sticky from whatever they mopped with and the room always felt very humid.

Long wait to check in. Nobody was there. Nobody was there for check out. After waiting for a while, we just left the key cards over the counter and left. Be aware when they say breakfast is included is just a muffin and a cereal bar on the go. Sticky floors on the room.

Surprisingly, there is a wonderful restaurant for dinner, within a close walking distance. It is The Hobbit Cafe. You must try it out too. We will use the Extended Stay again. We appreciated the location to our destination, the cleanliness, and the best price available for miles and miles.

We arrived to check in. We were immediately notified that our room as on the second floor and the elevator was out of order. The room was just ok, definitely acceptable for a place to sleep for one night. I would not have stayed if we needed more than that. Upon check out, there were police in the parking lot assisting some men whose vehicle was vandalized and robbed the night before.

They had no lobby, they brought two plastic chairs for us to sit in to wait for our room to get ready, the elevator was out of service,, the furniture look like garage sale. it was mixed and match. it appeared they were working on the ceiling in the so-called lobby and the fire detector had been removed. The rating they had online was a 7.2, which should be no more than a three if you're comparing it to other hotels.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean but the bathroom fittings were very worn and the bathtub was scratched and stained. There was an unfortunate undernote of weed in the corridor, not completely hidden by air freshener.

The biggest problem was the air freshner that apparently was being dispensed through the ac system and therefore could barely be controlled. For anyone with allergies or sensitivity to odors, beware. Also, don't count on getting anything in the complimentary breakfast except coffee, tea and packaged muffins. No juice.

Room was not ready until 6 p.m. I was here waiting since a little before 3 p.m. and could not get rrady for dinner. I had to go in shorts and a T-shirt to a dressy diner event after driving 6 hours to get here.. The TV doesn't work. The elevator doesn't work. The rooms stink. IDK why they even bother with saying they have breakfast. It's crap I wouldn't feed this to my children. There are no dishes like it says or pots or pans like it says.

This was an ok place! No bells and whistles that is for sure. If you’re just looking for a basic room w a bed then here you go! Furniture is outdated and banged up. No room tags, door didn’t shut I had to shut it tight. Was clean just very blah place. The front of the hotel is the highway but go towards neighborhood and it’s cute. I did feel safe. Room was good, staff was courteous. There was excessive noise from the room upstairs late into the night. Walls and floors must be very thin. Also, the elevator was out, which I guess happens sometimes! Not their fault but it did effect the quality of our stay.

This is a sad, worn down hotel that is not worth the prices you are charging. Upon arriving, I was told the only elevator in the building was out of order. Because an available second-floor room was located near a noisy staircase, I took a third floor room that was offered. This room was a shambles: every surface seemed to be grimy and the bathtub didn't drain properly. The advertised "breakfast" consisted of snack bars and instant oatmeal. I have stayed at Extended Stays before (and enjoyed having a nice, clean room at a reasonable price) but this property does not live up to its usual reputation.

The room really needs refurbishing (carpet, bathtub, noisy fridge, etc.).

We were in town to go to the cancer center so the distance from the hospital, breakfast, and pictures of the hotel on line was the reason we chose the hotel. The elevator was broken so my husband who just had knee surgery had to climb the stairs while carrying suitcases. According to the hostess working the front desk, the elevator has been broken for 2 months. Got to the room, opened the door and the stink was awful. The tub was dirty, sink and vanity need replacing, blow dryer was rusted, AC unit was dirty. We had been traveling for hours and were exhausted. We made the decision to sleep so we could make the appointment at the hospital the next morning. Went downstairs to get breakfast to find some packets of oatmeal and bad coffee. We made a decision that we would not stay at another extended stay.

Room looked pretty good. TV did not work. Requested to go to another room but they were not decent looking rooms so opted to stay in the one we had and wait on staff to get a TV for us the next day.

It would have been helpful when we made the reservation to have known that the sole elevator was out of service and hadn't worked for a couple of weeks. Luckily the lady at check-in was able to get us in a room on the second floor, near the staircase by the side entrance to the parking lot. It required about 6 trips to load-in and load-out up and down the stairs..

They need to fix couple of things like shower head the elevator if is a smoke free there should smell like smoke at all . The stairs and the second floor was smell very strong smoke odor . Need to get ice machines. Room need upgrade on sheets and pillows also need improve the light on the room

Upon walking in it smelled great in the lobby but the elevator was "out of service" and while the room was clean, the bathroom was awful to say the least. This was one of the worst bathrooms I've seen in a long time. We refused to used the bathtub and wiped the entire counter and toilet down with clorox wipes. Whoever is in charge on maintenance and housekeeping needs to do better. Lastly, while trying to checkout, there was no one to be found! I called from my phone while standing at the front desk and rang the doorbell that's placed on the counter. We stood there for 30 minutes until I had to let a girl in who seemed like she was late for work in through thw back hallway door. She then climbed over the counter to get behimd the desk to try to check me out. Please do better!!

Where do I start... We got to the hotel at 1:30am to find the doors locked and no staff. A guest let us into the lobby. I called the business number to get front desk help. The room smelled moldy constantly. The bathroom let's just put it this way I had to wear my sandals to take a shower. I wore my sandals the whole time in that room. The floor, I don't know what they mopped it with but it had a sticky residue. Oh let's not mention that you hear a dog and I might add a pitbull barking at 7: 00am in the hall. The elevator was always out of order. I'm sure you would want to take the stairs anyways. When you're in the elevator it's shaking and vibrating like it's you don't want to get stuck in there

The hotel isn’t anything as advertised. The hotel has an old smell and it seems like they just put air freshener to mask the smell. The carpet smells old. The a/c filters don’t seem to be changed because as soon as you turn on the a/c an old smell comes out of it. The kitchen counter has burn marks from cigarettes. Going up the elevator I got stuck in it for about 10 mins. When I pressed the emergency button the receptionist answered, got me out quickly but when I came out she was very calm an smiling trying to laugh it off as if this usually happens. The tenants in this hotel seem to be homeless or people just lodging with petty cash because they are either crazy or dirty. 0/10 experience I was just praying for morning to come. They advertised “breakfast included” when I went downstairs I was directed to a coffee station at the front door with nutragrain bars and muffins.

Parking was free… that’s the only decent thing that I experienced… the location wasn’t bad but it wasn’t safe, there were literally junked out people screaming in the parking lot all night Friday. The room smelled like a used ashtray from a meth lab. The entire bathroom had to be cleaned just to be used, thankfully i packed cleaning supplies, the air conditioning had a disgusting wet oily substance that I only saw after touching it! The linens were clean thankfully but the majority of the furniture was absolutely crumbling apart. 0/10 if I had another option for my event I would have never stayed, but Halloween weekend had all the other options around me booked up. I will definitely not be staying here ever again.

Great place to stay in a pinch. They let me do early check in for a fee which was priceless as I was at the airport all night. Super nice staff and was super clean. Some of the furniture is a little outdated, but everything was super clean. TV worked along with the shower and lights. Bed was great and the pillows were comfy. AC worked great too. Was close to a lot of things in Houston as well such as NRG Stadium. Great food around too.

The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. It should of been removed. The kitchen area was very old and dated the caulking looked stained so it made it look old. The towels had stains and when you opened the room door at 1st entry it smelled just like Lysol. There was no remote for the TV and the dresser was old chipped and damaged. I've stayed at Extended Stays before and this by far was the worst one.

Room did not smell nice upon arrival. The sitting bend wasn’t sturdy felt like I was would just putting my leg on it. Room needs to checked probably for inspection for safety and hazards for accessibility people like myself.

The room had a refrigerator and cook top and microwave in which none was operable. I only had warm water for 2 days of the 4 day stay. Multiple outlets would not work in the room. No daily house cleaning offered.

Only disappointment I had was the smell in the room was not pleasant. It had a distinct smell as if the room was old and been closed for a long time. The room was very clean, the bed linens were very fresh and clean. I did have one problem with the toilet not flushing, but the clerk came immediately and poured a solution in the commode that ended the problem.

I booked this place last minute for the Beyoncé concert (smh) When I arrived, I noticed a stench in the lobby. Still I persevered and got a room key. I went to the room and it was dirty, roaches on the walls etc. I DID NOT SLEEP OR STAY HERE. Yet, they charged my bank after I checked out at the front with JANIE the same day. I didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the place. I have pictures and everything. Smh. Terrible place. Money hungry. Not clean. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Clean room, comfortable bed, toilet seat was loose, ac was on when we arrived which was nice to walk into. No options for snacks or vending machines.

*housekeeping services (not the client having to take out trash and used bath towels) the kitchenette area had a table leg broken, cabinet door off the hinge, cabinet floor looks like termite eaten, a 10 Oz saucepan and a spatula isn't acceptable.

No coffee maker, No utensils. My wife got shocked 2 times from electrical outlet. Sink was leaking in kitchen area. Refrigerator was noisy. No one at front desk spoke English

But the staff is helpful.

The staff was not friendly at all and told me that my reservation was incorrect and I had only booked one room. After finally sorting it out we get to bring our things inside and we were told they didn’t have a luggage cart available so we bring out bags to the 3rd floor and noticed one at the end of the hallway out entire stay. The bed inside one of the rooms lifting complete vertical once it was sat on, causing me to fall straight to the floor hitting my tail bone. The fridge and counter tops weren’t cleaned at all. We weren’t given new towels until Saturday night because ‘they were being washed’ all day long but we saw two cleaners carts filled with towels.

I’ve been at this location many times and overall it’s a good hotel. There was a big roach in the bathroom which I know can happen regardless of how clean it is but, I found a used deodorant on the nightstand and a stain (as if someone spilled their drink) on the side of the bed like if it wasn’t cleaned at all.

Walls are thin, bathroom was dirty, the shower had firt and hair in it. Front desk stated that the rooms are only cleaned every 14 days so if i want my room clean, its 10.00 extra. Breakfast was horrible including the coffee, when they had it. In order to get fresh towels, you had to take the dirty ones to the front desk to switch out but no wash clothes. Vent in bathroom didnt blow air so it was extremely hot. NEVER AGAIN!

The room was hot. The bed was so squeaky and the fitted sheet was too small. Just the bed being so noisy with every move was bad, couldn’t sleep. The elevator was so noisy and rattling, almost woke up the dead. There was mold on the bathroom walls.

Staff was pleasant, helpful and pleasant. Room was spacious and had everything I needed. The lobby of the hotel had no furniture to lounge on; would be nice to have some.

Hotel staff was ok. Breakfast is muffins and coffee. Hotel do need to be updated. They don't bring nothing to the room. Found a roach in my room. This hotel is enough to get you by but don't expect alot.

The room and bathroom were overall clean, but the floor was sticky and there were odd odor’s throughout the hotel and our room.

I couldn’t stay l left and booked another hotel. Room was smelling bad, carpets are old. Appliances have dents and scratches, walls are bad and even the car park had sitting water all over. I am requesting a refund for this booking.

Location was great, hotel was close to stadium, food spots, and quick access to highway. The appearance of the hotel itself was underwhelming. Carpet was stained, holes in walls, our smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling, ironing board was broken, iron itself didn’t work, bathroom didn’t have a blow dryer and stove light was broken.

You can paint a building on the outside and it is still a mess inside. This property is a disgrace. It is dingy. It is dull. It is old. It is in disrepair. It smells bad. The elevator is downright scary. Enough said. We will not be returning. It was, however clean.

The stay was nice. Quiet room with everything I needed.

The room was clean and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were in good working order. The parking lot seemed secure and there were lots of restaurants nearby.

Room was dirty- carpet had so many cigarette burns. Very limited kitchenware availability. Room smelled like old cigarette ashtray. Front desk staff was very nice.

The hallways and the room smelled terrible. The toilet got clogged and wouldn’t flush. There was dog poop in the hallway in the morning. Overall terrible experience. Gross!!

I was a disappointed when I got there at 6 pm and my room wasn’t ready. Check in was at 3 so why wasn’t my room ready. I had to leave and come back.

The room was quiet but after a concert we attended, we were unable to get in our room. We waited for a while until we were able to get into the room. The door would not open and someone did replace the batteries but it still didn’t work.

Room was clean . Bathroom fixture needs some maintenance. Bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Protein in breakfast was lacking but for the price of the hotel was compensated for since there are walkable dining options around the area. I would stay here again. It is right next to a highway so there is noise that may bother you at night if that bothers you.

Overall it was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The manager in charge refused to honor my reservation twice. He also attempted to contact the police because he had me confused with someone else. When I inquired about a refund through a third party agency the manager even gave them a hard time. Would NOT recommend. The staff couldnt even verify a simply reservation. Thats appalling.

Elevator was dodgy af. There were several spills on the floor of soda making it sticky. Surely those have been cleaned up but when we were there they weren't. Lots of construction supplies out in the parking lot. I'd stay here again, though.

Very nice for the location… near the downtown

At present, I am staying in room #323, and unfortunately, the experience has been far below my expectations. The issues with the room are as follows: - The room is not clean. - The microwave is rusty, and the kitchen is dirty and outdated. - There is no dishwasher, and the chairs are extremely dusty. - Overall, everything appears to be old and poorly maintained. Additionally, I have observed that there is insufficient staff on-site to address these concerns effectively. While I was informed about a complimentary breakfast, the only item provided was a muffin—there were no other food options available. This does not align with the standard implied by the promise of a complimentary breakfast. I am deeply disappointed with what I have encountered compared to what was promised. As a host, I expect Expedia to ensure that the hotels listed on your platform meet a certain level of quality and maintenance. This stay has been extremely unpleasant and filled with dissatisfaction.

That shower head needs replacing because the water doesn’t come out like it should. The bath tub has a crack in the bottom of it, if you step close to it you can feel it tub move under your feet. The bench that was supposed to be in there only has a piece of the metal bracket that used to hold one. The toilet flushes slowly so you have to flush twice to make sure everything goes down. The water is very slow to get hot. All can be fixed easily, so the next travelers won’t have to deal with these issues.

I enjoy every time for either work or a weekend getaway!!

The staff member Carolina at the check desk for was very nice and helpful. The property entry is only one way in and out. Upon arrival, you have to make sure you slow down because you can miss the entry. I will suggest that a sign be placed at the street level if there isnt one out there already. As for my room, it was clean, there were some markings on the counter and paint cbipped on the wall, but for the most of my stay i was comfortable.

We have stayed at this property three times as it is close to our grandsons' school and easy in and out to where we need to go. The rooms are clean and the staff are very professional and helpful

I was disappointed with the freeway noise - I asked for a room away from the noise but it was still super loud. The room was ok, the bed comfortable but no toilet paper in the room when I got there. Breakfast really wasn’t good - cold muffins or instant oatmeal. Coffee was luke warm. People were very helpful and easy to find. I guess, for the price and proximity to Rice it is OK.
