The room was clean and dust free because I always do a countertop test, and pull back the sheets and smell the sheets and towels. The bathroom was clean as well, however, the caulking job was horendous. The flooring butting up against the tub was bad. The toilet worked well and the shower worked well. The only thing that was a bummer was that there was a roach in the bathroom. A real downer. They need to do a fumingation for sure, especially on the ground floor. Next time I will remember to always ask for a 2nd floor room in any hotel.

The hotel needs significant upkeep!
- 4/5
This is a good location at the uptwon area and on the economic side. The condition is as expected for extended stay. One should not expect daily room service. The room is large enough with cooking wares available upon request. The rooms are generally clean and the staffs were super nice although they may not be able at the front desk as they are responsible for many other responsibilities around the hotel. So be patient and they will be back soon. My only complains are (1) One of the bed sheat was really too old and became very dark in comparison to pillow cases. (2) Breakfest is only coffee with a few buffins and bars, no mild or sereal, a packs of oakmeals. No bowls or plates, and no place to sit down. This is understable as guests were supposedly to take this snacks to their own room to eat. Other that, there are plent of parking spaces. This is important for hotel in this area of the Houston.

Checked in around 130am after a long day of flying to come into a room that was dirty and there were COCKROACHES that crawled out from under the fridge. The entire hotel is dirty and multiple things are broken throughout. I checked right back out and requested a refund but I booked through a 3rd party and they said I have to go through them and they have to reach the hotel to get confirmation but can’t get through to anyone. Very disappointed

Everyone was super nice as a soon I walked in. Place was walking distance from local spots to eat and drink. I will definitely stay here again if I have to go back to Houston. Keep up the good work.
- 1/5
Shabby property in a really nice area. Property is housing homeless and/or addicted people. One resident tried to enter our room twice, front desk was notified and no response. There is NO breakfast. Our room was old and had roaches. Room phone did not work. Room key only partially worked. We did not feel safe here and checked out early.

The room Nothing
- 2.5/5
The room smell old; and cigarette smoke
- 1/5
The condition of the room was awful. The door hinges were completely rusted in the bathroom, the tub was dirty, and everything was is disrepair. There were zero amenities. No cups, hairdryer, anything in the kitchen. It costs $1 per call for local calls. The hallway smells awful and I’m pretty sure there was mold in our room. No use calling the front desk because you are put on hold for 10 minutes then told they can’t help you.

No staff after 11pm? REALLY??????? What if the key stop working, and no one is there?, etc etc. You need to have staff 24/7…..
- 5/5
The folks at the front desk were the best. Neural and Maria...Laura and Michael in the lounge. Super friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
The stay was ok, need a lot of upgrades and its smells bad, The scare part they leave doors open after hours nobody at the front desk very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Loved it felt like I was at home . Clean staff was friendly
- 3/5
Location was great! I loved how I had a kitchenette! Shower was great! Entrance to hotel was hidden and can easily be passed up. Room smelled of animal urine or some very foul odor. The walls door handles and light switch was dirty as if it hadn't been properly cleaned. Cabinets and things were outdated. Having a hospital shower bench in rr was a bit strange. Shower head was old and leaking water from hose! Over a handful of Exterior window screens were torn which is not appealing.
- 3/5
I did not get my 2 queen beds that I booked. The front desk lady told me that hotels.com double booked them. So we ended up having to take a king suite room. My 16 year old son that is 6'2 had to sleep on the little couch. The pull out bed was terrible. He ended up sleeping on the floor. That was the terrible experience at this location.

- 1/5
I didnt read the reviews before so shame on me. I just nade an assumption that it would be good because if the nice hotels that surrond it to include the Galleria. Check was great. The room, however, not so great. Walking in you were immediately slapped in the face with the smell of old urine and mold. I went to the front desk clerk and she moved us to another room. The next room smelled like bleach upon entering. I was super tired and settled. The shower walls were filthy. There were dead bugs on the floor. Never ever again will i choose it.
- 1/5
This place was disgusting and terrifying. Nothing had been updated in 20 years. Does not look like the pictures at all.
- 3/5
Sheets were not changed on the bed. Front desk addressed this in a gracious and efficient manner, but cleanliness is an issue. Property is showing its age.
- 3/5
Hotel name is different than actual hotel. Extended Stay, overbooked, didn't have 2 queen beds. No coffee available, elevator sketchy.
- 1/5
Front desk folks were rude and barley there, keys never worked and the place is a dump.
- 1/5
The room I got was dirty and broken
- 5/5
This place was perfect for the cost. I had a conference in the area and the other hotels were very expensive. Extended Stay was within walking distance of the conference hotel and saved me over $400 for the 3 nights I stayed. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The room was dated but clean. The property was well kept.
- 5/5
Loved the location, very easy access, tons of options for dinning and shopping!
- 5/5
Absolutely Enjoyed my Stay !
- 1/5
First, the property charges a $100 fee which I do not understand because the conditions of the hotel are deplorable. I have stayed at a few Extended Stay and this is one is just not right. Additionally, it has been five days since my stay, I still have not received my deposit back. I am not sure if I am being a victim of some scam. Finally, there is some musky smell throughout the property.
- 4/5
The building was getting worked on, but it was still clean. The workers were very nice. I loved the bed it was comfortable, but you can tell it is a little dated. We had no problems checking in or checking out. There was plenty parking. The kitchen area was a nice size with a full size Fridge in it.
- 5/5
It was much better than previous hotel and very convenient last minute booking.
- 1/5
The smell of the place was terrible. I looked passed that because they was courteous to have a note stating “Excuse our appearance we are getting a face lift”. But heading to the room, was beyond human living. The toilet had nasty residue and the tub looked like it was never touched for cleaning. One of the lamps did not work and it was overall nasty! 0/10 would not recommend, not even to my worst enemy!
- 1/5
She had 2 kids I booked for 1 week after that she decided to stay 3 more days and I extended for her But the front desk told us that she can not stay any more and she should cancel the reservation I try to contact expedia but no one responded

I like the location of the property. It is close to the galleria and it is convenient and accessible

Once I did get into a room it was clearly water damaged, dingy. The toilet made noises all the time. The shower leaked and had poor drainage and ventilation. There was an iron, but no ironing board. Despite there being a “kitchen” there were no utensils, pots, pans, or anything useful for actually using the kitchen. Front desk staff were consistently rude and indifferent. The grass around the parking lot is like a minefield of dog poop. The WiFi does work. That is about the only positive aspect of a stay here.
- 3/5
The bed was comfy, hall way had bad smell.

Good
- 5/5
That’s outstanding customer service by ASHA at the front manager Stacey. This is a great location. It’s very quiet and safe and these two individuals provided great friendly and welcoming customer service.
- 3/5
Multiple facilities in the room were broken, such as lights, Door lock. There was nobody when I was checking out in the counter. And overall, there was a cleanliness issue across the hotel.
- 5/5
It was fine
- 5/5
Everybody was very kind and welcoming
- 1/5
The day before I arrived I received an automatic email reiterating that check in was at 3pm so I thought everything was fine at the hotel after hurricane Beryl. When I arrived the day of my booking at 3pm, the hotel had no power (6 days after landfall) and could not honor my reservation or let me check in. Yet they charged me their cancellation fee of one night's stay. If they were able to send me an email the day before, why could they not have contacted me about their lack of power? Why should I pay anything at all? Still trying to get this disputed between the hotel itself, hotels.com, and my credit card company.
- 1/5
There are quite a few problems(starting from unprofessional staff, unclean hotel & rooms, weed smell through out the hotel & walk ways, spoiled mattress, rochers in bath room. I had to vacate the room early as none of the concerns addressed. I have been told it’s old building all the rooms in the hotel are same.
- 5/5
Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy check in check out. Quiet. Stayed one night.
- 1/5
First i waited 30 minutes for someone to check me in. There were people hanging everywhere and just a bad vibe. Very unsatisfied

As someone who traveled from California for post-operative care following a mommy makeover, I expected a high standard of service and accommodation, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short.During my stay, I encountered several serious issues. I was horrified to wake up in the middle of the night to find two roaches in my room. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and sanitation of your facilities. The key card for my room frequently malfunctioned, preventing my caretaker from accessing the room. This forced me to get out of bed multiple times, which is a significant liability considering my post-operative condition. The toilet in my room was not working properly. When we notified the front desk, my caretaker was given a plunger to attempt to fix it himself. This lack of professional assistance is deeply troubling and I HAVE PICTURES TO PROVE IT. Despite being aware that I would be staying with a caretaker, the room was only provided with two face towels and two body towels. When I requested additional towels, I was told I could only receive more if I exchanged the ones I had. This is highly inconvenient, especially given my medical needs. On Friday night, my caretaker requested to trade towels and was rudely told by the front desk staff to return at 7 am. When he asked for clarification on the time range, he was met with an attitude. These issues cause a high risk to my health and recovery.
- 1/5
The manager profiled me. She gets defensive and very unprofessional. She accused me of smoking. She refused to listen. She looked down on me. I went a week with leaking sink. 3 nights in the row someone tried to open the door with their keys.i had to ask for things that should have been in the room already. There were three patches on the ground. When it rains there's a leak by the window

The staff are friendly and the rooms were fine.

The building has roaches
- 4/5
It's ok for money

When I first arrived I had to stomp a bug. The fridge was pretty beat up and it was dirty and dusty in the corner of the wall above the fridge. I could still smell smoke like in an old casino hotel. The wood on the chair was chewed up by a dog. the vanity in the bathroom looked like it had water damage and looked like it should be refaced or changed. My phone didn't work and a night light by the bed but I arrived late and wanted to go to bed. The lady was kind enough to offer me another room which she showed me the next day but I was checking out the next day and the hallway reeked of dog urine
- 2/5
First of all the property looked NOTHING like it did in the website. It was completely run down!! There were piles of trash just outside the elevators. The rooms were in horrible condition. It looked worse than an old college apartment. Secondly, the "breakfast" was NOTHING like it was advertised. There wasn't breakfast! We had to go find breakfast somewhere else. I will NEVER stay at a Stay America Suites ever again.
- 3/5
Price was okay. Overall cleanliness at common area, all locks needs changes, my first room has wifi-blind spot. They changed my room, next room was okay with wifi
- 1/5
My experience was the worst. The hallways smelled of pets. The elevator smelles of bug spray! Not clean. Did NOT stay
- 5/5
Pro: Free parking lot & very close to commercial area
- 4/5
Great location property desperately needs to be remodeled every thing is old and musty
- 1/5
Hotel was extremely dirty and under construction . Room not clean on arrival . Strong mildew smell
- 2/5
This was not a clean hotel. One room had issues with bugs. Never recommend staying at this hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel and stay were nice, but the staff do a poor job of keeping track of room availability. Less than 15 minutes after I arrived into my room after checking in, the staff member that checked me in, entered my room while I was in there unpacking, to see if the room was empty. He then closed the door and said he was sorry. The day of my check out, before 10am, another guest opened the door to my room as I was packing my belongings for the day. He showed me his key with my room number on his card and apologized and he returned back down to the lobby to get a different room. Managment and staff need to keep better track of occupied and un-occupied rooms.
- 4/5
Tv didn’t work had to chance rooms , no Mattress in Sofa but other than dat No complaints I enjoyed my stay . & will book again
- 2/5
Not a great place for family with kids
- 1/5
I never made it to the hotel so didn't check in or checked out but I think is was nice
- 3/5
The community service was a 10/10 but it was not as clean as it should have been. The tub and refrigerator were super dirty. My cousin and I had to clean it down ourselves and the sink for out first room was leaking so we had to go to another room on the first night.
- 1/5
This hotel is disgusting. Do NOT STAY here! Roaches everywhere and it was not clean at all. We literally checked in and checkout bc we refused to stay there.
- 3/5
The house keeping came only once x week ( and we needed to ask and push to clean ) when was expected to get daily service the staff was really nice but they didn't have any 3JU=[]]]]]]]V 90P
- 5/5
Rooms r currently gg through major renovation, stay tune for better stay experience.
- 3/5
Breakfast was not served due to Holiday season but on the portal it said breakfast included.
- 2/5
The hotel needs to be cleaned better. My room had roaches, dirty bathroom and doors, dirty floors etc..
- 1/5
Absolutely nothing like the pictures online. Room was dirty as in there was still trash in the garbage, the sheets were dirty, the mattresses were stained, safety hazard by bathtub as the floor board was as sticking up, not to mention BUGS!
- 1/5
The door lock was broken so I got moved to another room. Hands down the most terrible conditions I have ever encountered. The room smelled of pee from the entrance and I saw tiny bugs scatter when I put the lights on. Although I was very tired I could not risk the possibility of bed bugs and left immediately The front office staff was nice however this hotel needs to be inspected for safety and health conditions.
- 2/5
Breakfast service, very poor options, not even cofee to serve.
- 1/5
Upon check in my 1 of the 4 employees booked under one reservation had immediate push back from the front desk person, they knocked on the door of my employees hotel room at 3:30 AM to kick him out of a PAID hotel room with various documentation showing proof of booking and proof of payment, and then the front desk attendant told my Employee he was going to smack him in the face.
- 2/5
The room was run down, the front desk staff were not helpful or absent, the fire alarm woke us up every morning and there were roaches.
- 3/5
I chose this property with the idea that I could have meals in the room. There were no pots or pans or dishes in the room, and no silverware. Not even any paper plates or plastic silverware! Extended Stay America is supposed to be for longer stays, but this room could not accommodate a longer stay. I am glad that I only stayed one night.
- 1/5
We finally get to our room after almost an hour waiting to be serviced, and the room is falling apart. The floor board in the bathroom was coming apart making it a huge hazard and almost cut my foot with it stepping out the shower. The base boards were coming apart. Water pressure was extremely low. The toilet stopped working for a while and I had to fix the inside myself. For this hotel being within the galleria it was in such bad condition.
- 1/5
Never will I go to another Extended Stay Facility.
- 1/5
It was a room with a kitchenette , microwave and fridge . First off the main light for the room did not work had to turn all 4 lamps on for the room to have light. Microwave did not work, stove did not reach a heating point stayed lukewarm , took 2 hours to make a simple meal . Tried talking to front desk personnel but no one was available to fix my concerns . Needed utensils as well but was handed 2 butter knives and one teaspoon after waiting 15 minutes for the front desk clerk to find such sorry items. Stains in side the room, one particular stain on bathroom door looked like a full handprint smeared the wall of poop. Carpet was disgusting , SHOWER DID NOT WORK NO PRESSURE IN SHOWER . Demanded to speak with owner to no avail. Had to stay in dirty room and expected to pay full price when conditions were unsanitary
- 2/5
The advertisement for this hotel is very deceptive. Elevator smell like dogs and cats. The room was comfortable and clean. Upon on check in arguments with extended stay residents was going on. No coffee or on the go breakfast on the next day. Morning front desk staff not professional. I don't recommend this hotel if you have standards.
- 1/5
Horrible hotel I won’t recommend
- 2/5
There were roaches coming out.
- 1/5
Will not be staying here again.
- 1/5
Rooms filthy and atrocious, staff incompetent and don’t care. Room furnishings broken and totally unclean and disgusting.
- 2/5
This place needs renovation.
- 2/5
Employees were great, everything else was awful. It was in a decent area, but the place was tore up!
- 4/5
Decent place.
- 1/5
The staff was rude. A lot of people loitering. The decor was horrible. There was a stanch in the room that was unbearable!
- 5/5
I love to go in with Expedia because they make sure that you're okay every time
- 2/5
The good: The staff was very friendly, the exterior of the building looked well kept. Parking was easy and free! The Bad: The grounds were littered with used paper produces, bottles and general trash. Property is listed as "Smoke Free" facility. It is not, interior hallways on 1st and 3rd floors reeked of weed (Marijuana) both days we were there. In the room. No hair dryers, no comforters on the beds, carpet stains, broken lock, non functioning electoral outlets. Refrigerator and microwave worked fine. Didn't use the stove top.
- 1/5
For a non-smoking hotel, it smelled very much like Marijuana all the time. We had roaches in my room, not one trash can. The pullout sofa bed looked like a crime sceen. I thought the OYO Hotel in Katy was bad, this one takes the cake. Extremely disappointing. Not worth half of what i paid.
- 3/5
The hotel need updates, several in functionality l, entry door glass broke for all through my stay , smoking of illegal substances smell all over. At check in my tub and counter was dirty I asked for it to be cleaned, the front desk laughed at me and stated it was the cleanest room they have .?
- 5/5
Great hospitality
- 3/5
Short of cleaner services, Staff is rude , but managers know how to do their job . AC very noisy in room . Check out fast but check in so bad !
- 1/5
Never stay at this property. We had 2 rooms here and the both had holes in the wall ! Microwaves did not work. The wash room they state they have did not work. They allow dogs there and the animals urine and poop is all through out the hotel. I requested to speak to management in regards to my room and the standards of it and they would not help me !!! I am still waiting to speak to guest relations because we ended up staying somewhere else because of the nasty filthy location.

My door card never worked. I had to get the front desk clerk to let me in my room everytime. I woke up to roaches climbing on my face and all over the bed. I went into the bathroom and there were more roaches covering the shower
- 1/5
They gave my reserved room because I was checking in late even though I called to notify them that I was on my way. They were very rude and inconsiderate.
