The staff was very nice and helpful! The breakfast was great and the location was not too far from where I needed to be while I was there. I overly enjoyed my stay, if you need to be somewhere long term this is the place for you!

It was not maintained well. The room furniture was stained. The lobby furniture had torn fabric. The floors were not swept. A used kleenex sat on a table for hours. The hallway smelled like weed. Dog were allowed.

Just note that traffic is terrible getting out of the parking lot during certain times.

The property was fine. Everyone was friendly. Everything was clean. There were pets there, but they were well behaved no barking. Everything was fine. The breakfast selection was good. Whenever we come to Houston, we stay at this hotel. It’s very convenient to everything we are interested in.

The front desk guy was very nice and the room was very clean.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had booked for the wrong date and she helped me take care of it without charging me an extra fee for cancelling and booking a new room.

What a deal! 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchenette, and large bathroom for under $200 a night. Free self-parking and plenty of it. Free coffee in the lobby when we checked in. Snacks available for purchase. Pappas Steakhouse was a short Uber drive away. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with dishes and cutlery. Would definitely stay again.

They had several hairs all in tub and shower area! The sink vanity wasn’t very clean nor the toilet seat! It was late so I didn’t report it although I think my granddaughter left a note on the clipboard

This was a good choice for a quick overnight stay in our case, but the room was big, and with the kitchenette and work area, we could've stayed much longer. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good located, Walmart behind the hotel and restaurants across the street is a plus. The room was clean, the kitchen is very helpful traveling with kids, the pool was clean. The self free parking lot is great. It was my second time in that place in this year.

The property is with walking distance to a variety of fast food places and Starbucks. Retail shopping is also within walking distance. The room was equipped with everything I needed to prepare my own food which I prefer. I will definitely stay again.

Overall, it’s one of the great places I’ve stayed in a weekend ( one night only). I’ll definitely book again if needed to be in the area again.They had good complimentary breakfast. Night shift receptionist need to be more accommodating and attentive to guests coming into the entrance.

Purpose of the trip was a one night stay for a concert at NRG. Hotel staff allowed us to check in a little early so that we could change and get ready for the show. Room was clean and updated. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet with no issues. Great stay.

Great location with shops, restaurants, and a gas station nearby. Convenient parking, clean facilities, and a quiet atmosphere made for a comfortable stay. I wasn’t able to extend my stay for an additional night at check-in and was advised to follow up at checkout. Thankfully, the day shift manager was very helpful and able to accommodate my request.

Loved the fact that the room i stayed in had 2 bedrooms. Worked out perfect for people traveling with another person.

Great location and amenities if you need to be close to medical care in downtown Houston—free parking and breakfast. They have a shuttle as well.

Pet deposit policy is not stated anywhere when booking. We were charged a non-refundable $100 pet deposit for a 5 lb Yorkie. Will not book here again.

Easy to get to. Great sized room and bath. Comfortable clean beds. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff.

Literally ran out of water while showering on second day there. It came back a few minutes later, but it was annoying. Plus, door did not have proper seal on frame so noise came through the opening. It was an average stay otherwise.

Location was convenient and my room was clean with enough towels and bedding. However, the AC in the gym was not working so it was ridiculous to try to work out in it. Also, the reservation clerks were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Not a place I would choose to stay in again.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. I was impressed they had two gas grills to use by the pool. Area around the Hotel was quiet and very safe. There was a decent selection of fast-food restaurants (mostly chicken places) with one really good burger joint that had been there for over 40 years and a Wal-Mart walking distance from the hotel. However, there are no sports bars in walking distance from the hotel. There were some a few miles away but I was visiting and did not rent a car so I used Lyft to get everywhere. It would have been nice if there was a place to get a beer nearby.

The gym was very small and AC was not working. Breakfast was poorer compared to elsewhere hotels of similar standards. Room was fine.

People were very friendly and I loved all of the common spaces. The gym was missing quite a few weights. The rooms were nice and had everything that I needed.

It’s a decent hotel for a $70-80/night but for $350 for two nights is a bit too old. It was very cold on the nights we stayed, and the heat settings didn’t work, but there was an extra blanket in the room and the stuff responded fast to the request to fix the heater/AC. Otherwise, it was clean and the stuff was nice and accommodating.

Great location. Walmart is right behind the hotel in walking distance if you need anything. Breakfast was ok. They had only one waffle maker and no syrup. We just used honey. But other than that, the stay was great. The staff was very nice. The beds were comfortable and clean. I would stay again.

Fridge dirty had to clean ice bucket. It was firty and even had a empty bottle of vooze in it. Dest lamp didnt work al I g with the tv remote. Sink had wiskers all over from last guest. Other then that its was great.

Bathroom was right out of a horror movie. Were given an accessible one that is basically a wet room. With a rusty drain and non-working showerhead and handheld. Horrible. Whomever decided to put a thermostat that was so lit up it could warn ships away from the reef, should be sentenced to sleep in that room. Seriously. Right by the bed! We felt like prisoners of war being sleep deprived with constant light in our faces. Cannot believe we paid almost $170 for this disaster. Run away from this hotel!

Bed was uncomfortable and bathroom leaked. It was a good area and maybe it was just the room also the front desk didn’t ask if I was rewards and then I tried to add later and couldn’t a wasted stay if so can’t count my points

Disgusting! Full of cigarette smoke and what smelled like kerosene! Filthy rooms! I had my 2 children with me and the floors, furniture and bed were disgusting! I stay here 2 years ago and it was clean with amazing service. The people that are there are like day and night. So disappointed! If I could give it 0 stars I would. I will never stay there again! The smell of cigarettes was so strong not only in my room, which was supposed to be smoke-free but throughout the hotel hallways, elevator and main entrance. It was burning my lungs. It was so awful I couldn’t stand being there for more than 15 minutes in the room! My husband and I after what was already a 9 hour drive we’re exhausted but decided to just finish the additional 3.5 hours home since it was already so late at night. The guy upfront seemed apathetic, but did apologize and said we will not be charged for the room and the pet fee. Don’t go to this place!

Our stay was due to the Hurricane and being without power for days. I truly hope that we do not have to go through this again but we will definitely keep this hotel as a must. Staff was wonderful and the hotel was very clean.

No hot water no power spent 300 and slept in my car through the storm and all of my food spoiled smh but overall nice hotel…

The total price include the clean fee, but housekeepers didn’t clean the room anymore. I was confused that why I need to pay the clean fee for my two day stay.

Property was outdated and rooms were not as clean as most other TownePlace Suites I have stayed at before.

We stayed for a couple of nights and had good time there. The staff is very nice. Room was clean and has small but useful kitchen. The walmart store is adjacent to it which makes it super convenient for on the go shopping needs. Close to Galleria and other attractions.

Hotel is newly appointed, everything is nice except the bed. It is rock hard.

This is not a property that I would characterize as having Mariott Standards. The decor is tired, and notably ragged in places....torn carpets and drapes to name two things that stood out in Room 230. It's advertised as "Galleria Area" which to me says "upscale.....it's hardly that. We were only there one night....had it been two, I would have left as soon as I saw the room.

Very simple, bare bones place, but the staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. The beds were comfortable, but the a/c was out in my room the first night—it got replaced the next morning. There’s a Micro-something warehouse next door that puts off some serious light from their sign at night, so I had to get creative with the window curtains to completely block out the light. Convenient location. The breakfast was a typical hotel continental.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The living room area furniture was very very worn out to the point we didn’t even want to sit on the couch or chair. The dining room table was well worn as well. The room was clean as well as bathroom and kitchen.

During our visit to the Houston Livestock Show we stayed here - let me first state the staff were professional & friendly. The room was clean - a few items need repair/updating. The issue was the elevator - it was broken (again after looking through the reviews). If it had just been regular in/out it may have been annoying but tolerable. However, we were there for Stockshow and we had gear we needed to take up to the room am & pm. It was items you wouldn't leave in your car overnight in fear of break-in. Also to make it worse I have had reconstruction surgery on my foot and I have 15 pins & a steel plate making it difficult for excessive stair use. So for 3 nights and 4 days, we (my daughter & I) made 6 tips up in the morning AND evening. I had to double that for myself one day as she was competing in the show and unavailable to help. At one point I lost my balance and scraped up my arm a bit trying to right myself. Left an online complaint & within 24 hrs received an email from the manager who apologized for the issue and offered Member Reward Points for my trouble. Well if I was a member that would have been great I guess but I am not and so they were an empty gesture. Was I expecting a full refund - Absolutely not. However, a credit however small would have been nice. After pointing out I was not a member and that wouldn't benefit me in any way the snarky emails ensued. DO BETTER MARRIOTT!

The elevator was not working. I presented a tax-exemption certificate; however, taxes were charged.

I'm older and stairs are not good. Checked in, had me on 3rd floor and elevator broken. Said had nothing on ground floor. Room great, getting there terrible. Next day moved from 2 bedroom suite to Studio on first floor. They never offered any reduction in rate or sorry for the inconvenience.

Very disaponting experience, elevator was out of order, the room was not clean, the carpet was damaged, the sofas were stained and the sofa ned was not a doble bed size but rather a full size bed and it was missing several tensing spring so sleeping on it was uncomfortable and even not safe.

The hotel is completely acceptable. Price to service and amenities is good. Breakfast was a nice surprise. My room had a small and well equipped kitchen which I did not use. Just there for one night for nearby doctor appointment.

The room itself was nice enough and appeared to be a newer building; however, for our 6-night stay, housekeeping literally only came ONCE - on the first night, and all they did was leave towels. They didn't tidy up, make the bed, etc. The rest of the nights I had to go to the front desk to get towels. They always "assured" me that housekeeping would come the next day, but they never did. One of the perks of staying in a hotel is that the room is maintained, and you come in to a tidy room after a busy day. We paid >$1000 for a 6-night stay over Thanksgiving week, so the lack of service was extremely disappointing.

The room smelled bad, roach in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed. Short hair girl at the front desk was very rude, she was clearly annoyed that we arrived. I don’t understand the good reviews here honestly. If you’re used to staying at a motel 6 maybe this is an upgrade. But if you’re looking for a normal clean and comfortable room, avoid this place. The only reason why I didn’t give one star is because the manager approved a refund for the second night I had booked so we could get out of there.

Older property, needs some rehab, clearly meant for extended business travel. King bed was extremely comfortable, and location was convenient to all we needed to do during our Houston weekend.
