Clean, friendly staff, fun for all

We have been here 4 times, and each time the staff was so kind and helpful, the food is wonderful, the amenities were very nice,rooms were always clean and maintained, no matter which size room I've stayed in. The convenience of the location is also terrific! A short walk to plenty of places to eat, to the beautiful and quiet beach, and we really enjoyed the Waterpark being steps away! I will definitely be back! Thank you for making us feel at home!

Our first hotel yes our first we had to change the rooms out first hotel air conditioner was not working so we asked the employee at the front desk for someone to fix it but they replaced the air conditioner in the living room not the bedroom and the shower head stream was so bad my sister couldn’t even get the sand out of her hair so we went to the front desk to ask to change rooms they agreed so we went to our other room and the air conditioner was working and the shower head stream was working but when we went to bed the beds were dirty like they haven’t been cleaned but we slept in it anyway because it was out only choice the next morning we went to return the room but the guy that was at the front desk he didn’t even agree to write his last name.

Rooms need updating and poor air quality not the best. Bathtub needs to be updated. Was dirty looking and anti-slip area cracked.

We had a 2 day stay in the largest townhouse room. Housekeeping never came once. We ran out of toilet paper and towels. No beds were ever made. Garbage was never changed. No fresh towels given. The room needed a serious cleaning. Cupboard doors are falling off the hinges. The toilets needed a wipe down. So did the vanity and sinks. It’s mostly just old and not maintained really. We had a family of 4. They give you 2 pool passes for all for our entire stay. They have another pool that’s for adults only though. You have to purchase $22 wristbands if you want the entire family to be together in the waterpark/pool every day you’re there. The Gulf is close by. You can’t swim for free there. Parking is free and very easy. It’s supposed to be a full kitchen. You can’t make a meal out of the kitchen if you tried. There’s nothing very little cooking supplies. 1 pan. 4 plates. 4 forks, 2 butter knives and a ton of sharp knives & 3 drinking glasses. Bring all of your own paper plates & tableware. Great location and everything is so close by. Good restaurants within walking distance. We paid $315 a night PLUS $42 per night (not per stay) totaling $357 per night for a run down room with broken cupboards that we STILL need to pay to use their waterpark. Not doing this again. Sorry.

We unfortunately had a neighboring room that was partying with loud music all night long. Our walls were SHAKING. My parent were on the opposite side of the hotel and had the same situation.

Where it was located That there was mold in the room. The ac sucked and the bed was not comfortable at all. We did tell the front desk person about the mold and he knocked off the resort fee.

Great stay for the family.

I was skeptical about this property after reading some of the reviews but I have to say my room was clean and comfortable little bit dated like the 80 style.stayed there from Friday to Monday didn’t live the resort I have to say that the restaurant on site was pretty good .also the bar was amazing plus live music was very entertaining and fun. Pool and water park was great.gym, and a small shop with good prices.location very convenient.will recommend.

The worst Holiday Inn we have stayed at. Staff were not friendly and not helpful. We didn't get the room we booked and all they could say is there was nothing they could do since we booked through hotels.com. Room was spacious but the furniture was stained, ripped and in poor condition. Not sure how they can charge a resort fee when this is far from a resort. Location was about 2-3 blocks from the beach. Would never stay here again.

Wonderful place close to the beach, and quiet at night! Walking distance to many restaurants, the beach, and a CVS. Staff was super helpful and nice.

Hot tub

We were able to check in early but the room we reserved (Sunset view suite) was not what we were given. The room was dirty, had mold on the ceiling and very outdated. The fire alarm was hanging off the wall. We had an issue with one of the key cards not working, luckily housekeeping was near by and let us into the room. She instructed us to go to the front desk since the key wasnt working. When we did the front desk representative told us we are doing it wrong. When we tried to explain that their own staff told us something was wrong with the key she just dismissed us. Between the poor condition of the room and the staff we left within hours of arriving and not getting a refund. Dont waste your time or money.

Awesome clean place close to the beach

Staff was amazing. Even when we had a hiccup with booking they were extremely helpful and made us feel at ease. Great property and great staff. We are already planning our next stay here.

We paid in advance for the breakfast and it was so worth it. We could order anything off the menu with a drink included. You had the choice to pay for additional items. The restaurant was very convenient out on the deck with live music every night. It had a great menu. The beach was only 2 blocks away. The pool area at the hotel was nice, we used it every morning. We used our 2 complimentary tickets for the water park that was connected. The lazy river was awesome. All of the staff that we encountered was very nice and helpful.

The website showed a nice room, I must of got the worst room it was so old and not what the pictures of the website showed, the website showed a long big pool that wasnt the case. I was showed I was charged double which one is pending. Not worth the money at all. Not so friendly staff either. I was ignored at the restaurant. The meal took a very long time. Worst hotel I ever stayed. I was ripped off the cost of staying there. Not happy.

I traveled with my husband, brother-in-law and 3 small children. The one-bedroom suite with 2 queen beds was too cramped for us, and the guests sleeping on the pull out sofa had to go into our bedroom to use the bathroom since there was no second door. I went to the front desk to see if there a bigger or more comfortable room, and Pat was amazing! She was so nice and empathetic, and moved us to a more spacious room. This made our stay. The property is a little dated, but the amenities and location were excellent!

Be aware that most amenities come at an additional cost. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, and while you may get a discount for the splash park, you still have to pay extra. The same goes for parking, mini golf, and food—it all adds up quickly. The “beach access” is also a bit misleading—you’ll need to walk about 10–15 minutes to actually get there, which wasn’t clearly communicated. Check-in was another downside. Although the stated time is around 4–5 PM, we didn’t receive our room until 7:30 PM, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the restaurant was excellent—the food was absolutely delicious. The pool area was decent, and the staff truly stood out. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. To make up for the delayed check-in, they provided us with complimentary mini golf and splash park admission for the following day, which was appreciated.

The room was clean. Not many amenities for kids and the pool description was misleading. The water park is not included and VERY expensive and for a room of 6 we only got 2 passes to the water park. The pool was small but worked. Beach access was close walking distance. Overall okay place to stay.

The add is misleading as the water park is NOT included during your stay. You get 2 tickets for the day you check in and the rest you must buy but for a discounted price. The restaurant isn't great, kids eat for free there the whole time but we found ourselves going off property to eat. Property itself was clean but pretty old. Bedrooms were comfortable and large however we would not stay again.

Stayed 4 nights, 6 people. Never received clean towels, house keeping only stopped in 1 time to empty trash, property is very run down for what it cost, our door on our room wouldn't close all the way in the bottom, asked to move rooms and was informed it hotel was full. Very disappointed in Holiday inn for this property.

After we got everything we needed that hotels usually have ready for you, our four night stay was still fun and we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and restaurants. The harbor views out of our room were nice. The smell of marijuana coming from the deck below was not so nice. If you are looking for a spacious room that is close to the beach at an affordable price compared to high end hotels then this may be a good option for you. Otherwise….

Best restaurant attached to a hotel property I have experienced. We did not need anything that was not near us. Great pool, hot tub, water park, restaurant on the premises. We were able to rent beach chairs, an umbrella and wagon to take to the beach on site. There is a trolley that takes you through IRB to Clearwater. It was such a great vacation and we plan on returning this fall!

The staff was kind and tried to be helpful, but we are tent able to check into our room until almost 2.5 hours after checking bc our room wasn’t ready. There was also never really towels at the pool so make sure you bring your own towels. I booked a roll away bed with my reservation in advance and was told there was no roll away beds left for us they were all taken.

Staff was very nice however every inch of the place was outdated including dressers, bed frames, bathrooms! The restaurant was extremely updated. Food was good and the servers were very nice.

The rooms facing the courtyard are tiny. The room wasn’t too clean or taken care of. We had 2 towels for a family of 5, was told more would come but never did. Waterpark was fun though, nice addition.

Rooms are definitely due for updates, everything is clean but definitely dated. For a 4 day stay they only include 2 waterpark tickets. If you need more than 1 parking pass its an additional $20.. some of the staff are great others could use a little training and education.

The photos of the water park and large pools are not of this property; they are next door, and you do not have access to them unless you buy an admission to the water park. I stayed in 2 different rooms of very different quality due to my first room, #144, being very loud because it is literally right by the bar--I could reach my hand out my room door and the bartender could hand me a drink--that's how close I was to the bar. I paid for an upgrade and moved to a suite on the 3rd floor with a balcony over the water. In both rooms, the furnishings and flooring need updating due to heavy use. The entire property is heavily used, needs updating, and most of all, needs an intense deep clean. After all fees, taxes, and other charges were accounted for, this property was not at all one of the more affordable options in the area it advertises itself as.

The set up was so cute. There were a variety of rooms and while outdated everything was clean. The waterpark it is attached to was so fun (we got a free entry for each person on our trip). It was a little loud at night with the live music and the ice machines didn’t work our entire stay but those are minor. A quick walk to the beach or restaurants. Would 100% stay here again

The hotel was oki but the staff from the lobby are not very friendly only the girl name Mia is the one that is nice the other boy Alex and Adam think no good they don’t say good morning or anything wen the guess come in the lobby to talk to them and wen u are talking to some other workers they get on the conversation they need to lear if you work for customer service….

Hotel is older and need updating. It could be cleaner especially the bathrooms where there is visible mold. The hot water is luke warm at best so don’t expect a nice hot shower. The staff is excellent along with the location.

We were very disappointed the water park was NOT included in our stay. All pictures showed it was. If you missed the cleaning lady it was hard to get clean towels and toilet paper. The building is very old, it is clean though. Never any towels at the pool.

The property should have been renovated about 20 or 30 years ago. Minimal furniture. Minimal hangers. No luggage racks for luggage. Old and sometimes beat up furniture. Poor shower head. Questionable wash cloths. Minimal kitchen utensils and silverware. No chair to sit in upstairs.

There was construction going on in the hotel the room and the all hotel was falling apart sink in the bathroom clogged every time we used it at the check out we have been charged amenities which there was nothing other then parking and small swimming pool. Overall we had terrible experience and I will tell everyone about it. Very disappointed ZERO STARS

The room was very unpleasant when we entered. The bed linens were dirty and covered in hair, and I found trash. The bathroom was filthy, especially the toilet. It's actually very expensive, and I don't recommend it. The ceiling had holes, and the structure is very deteriorated. I don't recommend it.

My stay at this property didn't start off well. The room I was originally put in was a complete dump. The door looked like it had been pried open many times, you could see daylight through the bottom and there was paint falling off the door and ceiling when I walked in. The walls are paper thin as I could hear everything in the room next to me. After my first night, I awoke to men roofing right above me. I was very disappointed that Holiday Inn would offer rooms like this. I was fully prepared to leave because I felt for the money I spent the quality should have been much better.This place looked like a Motel 6. When I went to the office to complain and go somewhere else, a front staff member named Russ, bent over backwards to try and make me happy. He was so kind, polite, and professional. He upgraded my room and solved my issues. I ended up having a much better stay because of him. Here are the positives of this hotel:The staff is excellent, the location is great and the room service is wonderful and they have a nice laundry facility for guests.The only negative is the place needs completely gutted and redone. The quality just isn't there for a Holiday Inn. I would have left 2 more stars if the property was in better shape. Honestly, the guy that saved the day was Russ! Give him a raise!

Place was great for regular people. Don’t let the bad reviews from diamond necklace Karen’s steer you away. Older hotel but clean for a place to lay your head. Outside seating with good view for restaurant. Bartender at jimmy g’s Aaron was awesome. They have resort fees but you get 2 free passes to the water park. They got a pool bar right on the water. Can walk right to the beach and good seafood places nearby. We will be back.

The staff at this hotel were amazing. They happily catered to all of our needs and also went above and beyond for any question we had about the area! The facility and staff made us feel like we were on vacation and could enjoy Florida stress free.

Russ(?) At check-in was great and made us laugh. We got an upgrade and this made our stay perfect. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We lived in this area for over 20 years so having Jimmy Guana's restraunt right on site made seeing friends more convenient than the house rental we did the previous trip. It allowed me to vaca and not host! We'll be back. Thanks

The people are crazy I paid you almost 7 grand for 13 days and that's not including the two add-on rooms the $450 in your gift shop and all of the food all of the events how nice everything was and then all of a sudden you're at my door tell me you won't extend my stay there was piles and piles and piles and piles of terminite feces okay that made me sick your first room you had to move you from smell like human feces the second room didn't drain and the toilets overflowed when you use the hot tubs in the bathrooms there was all kinds of black stuff that just came out of them I've been bit up transferred termites to my home and you come and just say you're not extending her stay you guys are crazy and it shows online there's 346 complaints about your bug infestation problems and 12 things from terminix saying they've been out there your whole restaurant smells like straight fish like it's been dead right in there it's disgusting you don't clean your pools you're arcade which is one of the reasons I came has been closed for repair and Beach or water park was closed every time it sprinkled the pool closes it's just all a bunch of bullcrap to take my money I was charged $250 $250 250 250 250 100 and 100 and just deposits I haven't been there and probably a good 8 or 9 days haven't received any of those back none of my points you guys are straight crazy for real and I really hope that karma comes upon you that's my reply and I told you I was the elite member the whole time you ne

So much black mold! You could smell the mustiness as soon as you walked in. Gave my mom and I the worst migraine, and my 3 year old toddler broke out with eczema flare up from it. I showed the front desk the pictures and videos of it, and they said they'd have the cleaners come with bleach but no one ever came to clean the room.

A cold front beat us to our reservation but we managed to walk and travel but missed all the amenities being chilly and windy first two days.. Enjoyed the bar and entertainment nightly. Walking on surrounding boardwalk was nice. But 39-50 was cold to us being from Florida. Restaurants besides on premises are all around this venue. On our last day of checkout the sun was out in full force and we enjoyed the warmth and views of the marina and waterway.

After spending over $300 for one month, it would’ve nice to have a room that wasn’t mold infested, fire alarms missing, carpet coming up and a stale smell. The staff was amazing and the food was great, though. I don’t think we would stay again for the price and what we got. No one seemed to care either. Someone came into our room at some point between checkin and us enjoying dinner and it wasn’t even acknowledged.

We had an amazing stay there. It was a great price for a hotel with a balcony, 2 floors, and a huge kitchen. The staff was really friendly. The front desk guy Russ was amazing and so helpful. Guests get free tickets to the splash park there. Everyone had an amazing time. We will definitely be back.

The service of the hotel was great. We really enjoyed the location across the street from the beach and pool area was nice. The restaurant at the hotel was great also. They had live music too! I will say it’s perfect for families. However they really need to update their rooms. They’re old and the ac units looked very old and it wasn’t very clean with various stains everywhere. The location is fantastic . They just really need to do room renovation !

Very clean, check staff was very nice, got to the room and had a hard time finding lights that would turn on. Light switches didn’t work. Some of the lamps were unplugged, but, even after plugging them in they failed to work.

It was spacious, but outdated. It rained a lot and the elevator fills w water so does the restraunts entry to the game machine. It stinks really really bad in the restaurant and had to move room due to my room smelling so bad like human feces and paid 2000 plus for just 7 days and arcade closed for renovation!

We had a 1 night stay. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a restaurant at the hotel where we ate breakfast. The food and serve was very good. The beach was an easy 5 minute walk and there are a few restaurants around. I would stay here again

Perfect place to stay if you’re bringing a boat! So nice to have a slip right out your door. The premier rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a great stay!

My stay wasnt comfortable because the fitst room add a smell, the mattress wasnt attacked to the bed railing, the hotel had roaches. We finally moved to another room which was a little better, but the hotel need upgrades. For this to be a Holiday Inn, i wasnt pleased!!! I wouldn't stay again!!!

Parking was hard. They have under building parking and it was hard to park there. Always full and it was so hot outside that my chapstick melted all in my cubby. When splash park closed parking was easier.

Early check in was at 2:30, room was not ready until 5pm.

My family and I enjoyed staying here

When we arrived there the water park was closed. We tried to get in the pool and was asked to leave. We were also asked to give up our chairs. It smells of fish. I spent extra for what was supposed to be family friendly hotel. I could have stayed somewhere else. For a holiday inn property I was actually disgusted. I will never book with them again.

On top of that, I was given only one water park pass, even though I had received four during my last stay under the same conditions. When I brought it up, it wasn’t resolved, which was frustrating and felt unfair. The cleanliness was also not up to par — the room and common areas needed much more attention. Overall, this experience left me disappointed, and I hope the hotel addresses these issues for future guests.

We had a wonderful time for our anniversary the Jacuzzi was amazing and always clean the suite we had was beautiful and and waking up to go out have coffee on the balcony was so relaxing

\While the property is a little old, it has great character. Jimmy Buffett playing on the deck that overlooks the the Intercostal. I believe this is my third stay at the hotel and I won't hesitate to come back

Our trip was great we had a room on the Bay side and it was beautiful. I would come back and stay again.

I so enjoyed my (short) stay here! The room was perfect and the property was immaculate! Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I look forward to staying there again.

The place is a little old but great location and the staff was very responsive to my needs, I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at their restaurant and they all were excellent!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was not in the best condition overall, but it was exceptionally clean. There were limited cooking utensils and cook ware for those who wish to utilize the full kitchen. The bathroom (shower/toilet area) was in need of updating. Again though, VERY CLEAN. Beds were comfy and the bedding was really nice. The property overall was in "good" condition but in need of fresh paint etc in certain areas. It probably took a beating with the recent hurricane(s). Water park adjacent to the property was fun, clean and very affordable. The restaurant/bar on property was nice, food decent, staff incredible. Fun place for families. Walking distance to other restaurants, etc. Would stay again for sure. We had a great time!

Great place! Sometimes a little noisy with many lacrosse teams staying for several days and the music that play every night until 10 at the restaurant. Nice beds, showers, and bathroom supplies.

They kept texting asking about our stay and I asked for extra towels (we had 6 people in a suite and they only provided 4 towels) and it took a day and a half to get the towels to us. Housekeeping didn’t come for the second day of our stay for our requested room refresh. They then had an advertisement that IHG members had the benefit of a free late check-out and when we asked we were told that we couldn’t check out just 30 min late because housekeeping didn’t approve it.

It could use a little bit of update. Front desk manager wasn’t helpful at all

The staff is very helpful and kind. We love how family friendly it is and how much there is to do just at the hotel. The rooms are clean the beds are comfy and we throughly enjoyed our stay. We plan to be back!

Stayed here in the past. I like the property though it is old and some aspects of the property are in need of a remodel/ repair.

A great property. Close to a lot of things. But bed was uncomfortable, the bedroom TV did not get many channels, and the bedroom ceiling fan did not work.

Nice and fun water park with friendly people and good restaurants. It’s a short walk to the beach. However, the hotel rooms need renovation, and the service was lacking—little attention to detail, no shampoo (but two conditioners), unfilled coffee, and no pool towels. Overall, the place had a “meh” vibe.

Had a great time at the hotel. Stayed 2 days was able to relax and play at the water park. We’ve stayed many times and never disappointed.

Our flight was delayed one day because of the airline. I stayed in contact with the staff at the hotel and the were understanding and very helpful. When we arrived they were pleasant and our room was ready like they had said over the phone. Great job to everyone here.

We stayed here for a night before heading to Tampa Airport to fly home. This hotel is a neat place and not what one would expect from a Holiday Inn. We rented a 1 bedroom suite with a marina view. The beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub were crowded, not warm enough and way too small for the size of the hotel. It was also not monitored and tiny children were riding bikes around the pool and going in the hot tub, unsupervised. We were not comfortable at the pool and hot tub area at all. The hotel did provide 2 free passes to the small waterpark next to the hotel, which our young adult kids enjoyed. There is a putt putt at the hotel under the roof and a fun restaurant that had music and as well as a gift shop. Just 2 blocks to the beach and many shops! The down side of the hotel was the furniture was tired and old. The bathtub was old as well. The room needs a refreshing but we did enjoy our stay.

We had an amazing stay! I highly recommend this hotel. Its a beautiful hotel and in a great location, walkable to the beach. Russ and Heather get 5 stars for exceptional customer service!

This was our fourth visit and everything was great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The location to dining is top notch. Looking at boats from our deck is a favourite thing to do. We'll be back!!!

Nice Christmas decorations

I upgraded from the standard king room to the 1 bedroom loft and full kitchen. Well worth it. Even tho I never did see the standard room. The place was so cute it looked like a hallmark movie with all the Christmas decor. It was very original and nice place to stay

I had accidentally reserved a room for the previous night. Russ was so accommodating! He found us a room on the correct night, which was Saturday night, not the Friday night that I had accidentally reserved. We were right around the corner of the event we were attending and the room had a full kitchen

Refrigerator even made ice.

I staying for work was nice

I live in Largo, Fl which is 5-6 miles from this property. My family and I have stayed there on many occasions. I have been a Priority Club Member for more than 38 years and unfortunately the people at the front desk were unable to find my membership number. They both gave good effort trying to but to no avail. The thing that really upset me was all the new extra charges ie. $38 a night Resort Fee and the extra $25 a night to park my car where I was already paying over $250 a night. It is a shame, we have many fond family memories there but we won't go back.

Lights on the inside was crazy made it look day time all night .. no curtains to close.. wooden blinds left a lot of outdoor lighting..front door had a crack where you could see outside through closed door..Tv didn't work for 5 hours..

We rented a room from this property to enjoy the swimming pool when we got to the property we were told the pool had been closed for one to two months. We would not have rented if that was the case. It was very misleading. We were not told about the swimming pool being closed and extremely disappointing.

When I rented the suite I was thinking it one floor since I have 80 years old mother traveling with us she had to go upstairs all the time to use bathroom 15 stairs I did ask the staff if we can change the room I been told all villas are the same

The staff at front desk was super accommodating. We had problems at first room, but they helped me immediately and we had a great time.

The hotel offers a $10 gift voucher for every $50 spent there but when asked about it, no one seemed to not know how it works and never got any discounts for over $1000 spent in there bars and restaurants

Great hotel with lots to do! Room was great but the fridge wasn’t working, alerted front desk and they were speedy with a response and solution. The beach is within walking distance, the pool was nice, the restaurant and live music was enjoyable and it was really fun to watch the big boats come in and out!

Very convenient, wonderful service, staff was very helpful even at the water park next door. Parking was a breeze. I felt the our room was very nice, clean, beautiful layout, but the bathtub & kitchen area could use some updating. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay & will look into doing another stay some time in the future.

The room had all kind of roaches, the manager claimed the charges were going to be reimbursed, but they didn't!!

large older hotel but clean and fascinating structure. all rooms covered by timber frame roof. mini golf course all the way down the middle. staff excellent.

Front desk check in & service at the bar where the band was playing was fantastic. The room was clean, just very worn in & in need of a refresh. The rooms were quiet. The pool was super busy with lots of intoxicated adults, and was not really family friendly-its definitely got that party vibe.

Staff was amazing. Byron would txt to check in and see if the accommodations were good. And amazingly helpful. Enjoyed my stay will be returning!!!

Great property and location

Property is a bit dated, however one can tell it is maintained. The staff is helpful and the beach is close by.

Elevator was not working

The room fits our family’s needs. I am sorry I didn’t reserve a room here when we first arrived instead of the Sheraton.
