DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jackson

They need to spray the 5th floor, baby spiders were on the loose. Tv kept freezing up. The floor needed to be mopped and if you have to go to work.....they only have a staamer..no iron available. Not the worse property in Jackson but just a few minor issues.

The breakfast and the staff in cafe were helpful. The bed sheets were not clean. I had to ask for multiple sheet sets upon arrival because they had hair and debris on them. The bathroom floor had hair on it and in the tub.

The breakfast is delicious, and the employees were very attentive. The hotel's location is in a good spot. The room looked nothing like the photos. The carpet in my room was humid. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. Upon entering, I found a large cockroach in the bathroom. One of the pillows had such an unpleasant odor, and it was obvious that it hadn't been washed. One of the bedspreads was slightly torn. The place needs a more thorough deep cleaning. I took photos and videos just in case. Besides, I didn't know they charge for Wi-Fi or at least the lady who helped me didn't explain it to me very well.

The friend staff, we had an issue with a water leak in our first room but the staff was on it quickly. Kiddos to the front desk staff, housekeeping for the 1st floor, and maintenance for handling my issue quickly and efficiently on the morning of 04/26?

Staff was terrible. Someone threw up near the pool and we were told by the front desk the janitor didn’t want to clean it up… the lady who’s kid threw up also offered to clean it up which they said no to as well. I asked about self serve laundry. They have it on the second floor, however I didn’t find that out until 2x running back and forth to the laundry mat off site. The front desk person told me they didn’t have one the first time I had asked. When a friend told me where it was I informed the front desk they do indeed have laundry. She was shocked to find out herself they had one. This hotel is outdated and way overpriced for the terrible service. I’ve never left a review until now.

Kids at the pool were screaming at the top of their lungs until 10 pm when the pool closed. I had called the front desk around 9 pm. asking them to do something about it, I don't think they did. Anyway...don't stay here if you need to rest or go to sleep before 10. Also, the floor was dirty in the bathroom and the shower drain full of hair. Gross.

The bed mattress was very hard! Breakfast was supposed to be free and I was told to ask for a breakfast voucher, Once I did I was told that breakfast was not free and I was not entitled a voucher. Although when I booked the Hotel it stated that breakfast was free.

The restaurant inside the hotel was absolutely phenomenal! The atmosphere was excellent and the food and service were top tier. Service staff were very friendly, but a couple needed more computer training. The main issue was the ongoing construction. VERY noisy at times during the day (a hammer drill being used on the concrete of the room above mine. Far too noisy to talk on the phone. No business center or conference room available for phone usage. Christmas music too loud for phone calls in the lobby. May try staying here again after the construction has been completed. The first room I was assigned had a clogged shower drain. I was told the room had been flagged as out of service, but it still assigned to me. After changing to a different room, I noticed the door would not close completely due to a faulty door sweep at the bottom. That was fixed quickly, but in order to engage the door’s deadbolt, I had to forceful push the door shut with my shoulder while engaging the deadbolt. I would not want my wife to stay in a room with so many problems securing the door. On the subject of doors, one of the two heavy glass sliding shower doors had no plastic edge guards so even gently sliding it would make a loud bang that I am sure my neighbors did not appreciate. The other door had plastic edge guards on both edges and was fine. Overall, the hotel is fine, but better QA inspections need to be conducted on the refurbished rooms before making them available to guests. I suggest a very thorough checklist requiring the inspector to initial each item inspected and having the manager sign off the list

The staff was always courteous. The heat was difficult to adjust, and we had to have maintenance come help us. Even so, we were either hot or cold. Also, there seemed to be a shortage of coffee pods.

The hotel was excellent, the bed super comfy, and everything was beyond clean. I was hoping to enjoy the pool, but it was indoor/outdoor and the weather made it too cold to get in. We did have breakfast sent up from the room- I was not a fan. The food felt rushed and it was cold by the time the food reached the room. But food aside, the staff was friendly and the hotel overall was comfortable. We will be back again!

The air conditioner was very loud and woke me up throughout the night when the compressor turned on.

This hotel is under construction but we had a newly renovated room and it was nice.

Tre at the front desk was very nice and attentive to the customer. The hotel is currently under renovation, so parts of the lobby, the elevator, and some floors are not complete. Our room was the new design, very comfortable, spacious, and without noticeable noise disturbances. My husband, of course, enjoyed the cookies. Visited the restaurant for drinks, it was a good experience. The cookies we received had walnuts, and unfortunately, I could not enjoy them.

The noise made it impossible to sleep. Once they finish that it’ll be worth staying.

I’m 57 years old, traveled all across the country and never had a room this nice. Clean and crisp … great water pressure, hot water resulting in relaxing shower. You are marked in my favorites for another stay.

The food was good

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and we did not get any housekeeping the whole time. I even asked for my sheets to be changed and it ever happened. I had to request for towels, wash clothes and hand towels. My used towels were never collected. We had a little towel snowman in the corner of our room. Plus, our trash was never collected either. Our nightly rate was $217 and this hotel was not worth it.

Our room was clean and not much noise even though renovations were going on.

I booked this place mostly for the indoor/outdoor pool. I even called ahead to make sure it was open. We checked in late afternoon, and surprise—it was closed for “engineering.” I pushed back a little since that was the main reason I chose the place, and thankfully they reopened it. The pool was actually pretty nice once it was open, though the indoor side was colder than expected. The hotel itself is clean but dated. Our room was oddly shaped, hot and humid at first, and just kind of had that old-hotel feel. AC fixed the temp, and everything worked, but the layout was weird. Bathroom was spotless, though—props for cleanliness. The attached restaurant was underwhelming. Cocktails were disappointing, and the food was just okay (mine was super salty). My water tasted soapy, but Leticia, our server, noticed and immediately brought me a fresh glass of bottled water without any fuss. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and checked in on every table with genuine care. Her service really elevated the meal. Honestly, she’s the kind of person who brings real value to any team—any place would be lucky to have someone like her. If you’re in Jackson on business, it’s passable. It beats a motel, but don’t expect anything special.

Construction on my floor, hallway getting off the elevator was filthy. Hotel personnel said it would be cleaned after workers left, but that didn't happen. Beers were left in the refrigerator, and a dirty towel was left in the closet. I had to contact the front desk twice about removing the beers from the refrigerator.

The staff was wonderful. They advised us of the renovations going on but said if we experienced any problems to let them know. The stay was great!

My stay was ok overall but, the hotel itself needs a makeover badly!! Although there are renovation signs out, there is no excuse for a dinner tray being in the hallway! After I checked in, I noticed a dinner tray on the floor outside of my room. The problem is, it was there when I arrived and still there after I checked out! The carpet needed to be vacuum at the very least. The front counter people were nice and friendly but, I won’t stay at that property until I know that it has been fully renovated!!

I want to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel from April 24 to April 26, 2025. I occupied rooms 301 and 314, and unfortunately, my experience fell far below the standards I expect — especially given the cost of over $1,200 for both rooms combined. Several issues made my stay extremely unpleasant: • In room 301, the refrigerator did not work, causing my food to spoil. • In room 314, although I requested that housekeeping not enter, a maid entered without my permission, removed towels, and did not provide any cleaning service. • The hallways and stairwells were dirty, with food debris present throughout my stay. • There was a dead roach near the ice machine on the third floor, and the ice machine itself was not operational all day. I did bring these concerns to the attention of the front desk during my stay. However, I am following up now because I believe the severity of the situation deserves further attention. I also have photos and videos documenting these issues. Given the amount paid and the reputation of the DoubleTree brand, this experience was unacceptable. I am requesting a prompt response to discuss appropriate compensation and to understand how these matters will be addressed to ensure future guests do not have a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I always stay here when I am in Jackson. Pleasant front desk staff, comfortable rooms.

The hotel is dated, and the Wi-Fi in the room didn't work! The shower didn't work, and it was noisy due to construction in the hotel! I was not happy with the hotel and will never stay here again! Also, the bed was uncomfortable, so I didn't get much sleep!

Nice hotel to stay in. Beds and pillows are very comfortable! Near all the bars, restaurants and shopping. The TVs are very old low def tvs. However a nice place to stay. Safe place to stay. Parking lot is dark. The soap dispensers are a nice touch. Limited towels in bathroom. There is a bar, a restaurant and a pool.

Great to sleep at only thing that was bad is that the body wash fell on my toe because it somehow fell from the shower area while I was showering! Also could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom area!

The plunger in the sink was stuck in the closed position so the water could not drain. We were there only one night so we did not complain. A maintenance man walked into our room late at night with the door locked to test a TV remote, thinking the room was empty. We were compensated with a continental breakfast, which we believe should be included with the room. We would probably stay at this property again, because the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Hotel is in dire need of updating. Sticky floors…no deadbolt on room door…bathroom smelled like raggedy underwear. My husband took a five minute shower in 8 inches of clogged water. Hotel is gross. Reviews can’t be trusted.

The lighting was out on first floor where room was and holes above doors. Also the room was not cleaned well in the shower with midew and mold and we had a slug climbing up the wall.

This was an emergent stay the bed was not comfy but it was ok. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was not the best but what can i expect when they have so many rooms to clean.

There were children running in the halls beating on doors going floor to floor. They pulled fire alarm at twice at 12:08am. Several guests went to front desk but were told security is looking into it. Will not be staying at Double Tree again.

This hotel charged both my debit and credit card a liability hold fee and double charged for breakfast. Upon check out, the receptionist failed to remember to apply my credit/discount for the breakfast. Also, upon check-in I found a disgusting long piece of hair in the shower.
