Reviews
The hotel is in a great location, especially for those visiting the Mayo Clinic, but it is getting dated and overpriced for the quality of the rooms and services. Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, noise, and unfriendly staff.

Everyone was so friendly! When we ordered dinner at the bistro it took a good 30-45 minutes when I got the grilled cheese and mom got the Mediterranean bowl. Oh and our room had a strange smell but we couldn’t put our finger on why we would describe it as. We were in 111.

The staff were excellent. So helpful and friendly We had a ground floor room overlooking the car park. There were therefore no windows to open. Only patio doors. I really wanted fresh air as I thought the room smelt pretty awful.

Very good
- 5/5
Everything was great! Seamless checkin, clean room, all questions answered, and so close to mayo!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, and the staff was AMAZING. The only issue is their price; I had to make another trip up, and I wanted to book with them again, but it would have been almost $500 for two nights.

Everything was clean and the staff were very helpful. Very convenient on the Mayo campus but this hotel could use an update…
- 5/5
Staff were very courteous; room, very clean and comfortable. The only problem was the a/c was noisy and interrupted our sleeping. Otherwise, great visit.
- 3/5
It was was adequate. But not really what i expected for what i paid. Im really sad to say that i really expected much more. I stayed here a year ago and this time, it just seemed "off".
- 5/5
Everything was Good, the room was clean, the staff was Good, it was all good
- 5/5
Convenient as my mom was at mayo.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Convenient to hospital
- 5/5
Have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. The facility during that time has had its ups and downs. I'm happy to report it's really in good shape right now and the Bistro restaurant is marvelous. We had some great meals there.
- 5/5
Clean and continent to mayo
- 5/5
Didn't eat breakfast there so can't comment on it; however, I was a bit annoyed that the coffee maker wasn't working so I couldn't even get a cup of coffee in the room when I got up this morning.
- 5/5
Needs updating.
- 4/5
They had a guy running a very loud leaf blower on the carpet inside the hotel, when he should have been using a vacuum cleaner. The guy would not stop the leaf blower,, and if you were coming in and the employee was going the opposite direction he blew dust and dirt all over you. At 5:45 am someone started playing a loud recording of a rooster crowing in the halls. It was a crazy stay!
- 3/5
I was surprised by the lack of accessibility options. Here is a place where very ill people stay to be seen at Mayo I was very disappointed in the facilities. The rock stars were your staff. The front desk. Awesome. The little restaurant and bar in the lobby was so nice due to the attention from the staff and even the cook ! My room smelled like a locker room. Ugh. I had to spray a ton of perfume
- 2/5
We have stayed at numerous Marriott hotels and have always had wonderful service from check in to check out. This Marriott and I know its location dictates access to the Mayo Clinic environment, but this Marriott does not stand up to its normal standards. The room had issues from the sink leaking, TV never worked, beds were extremely uncomfortable & service not good. We left before the second night we had booked based on the above comments. Very disappointed.
- 3/5
The towels were so cheap, like sandpaper, expect more for the price.
- 2/5
We did not like that we did not receive a discount because we used Expedia and called but was told no discounts but upon arrival was told that if we had of called hotel directly, we would have received a discount, and we had called and told no discounts. Since it was obvious we were going too Mayo, and we had proof they could have provided us with a discount but opted not to do so.
- 5/5
Warm and friendly
- 5/5
Everything went as expected. The Coffee station was not cleaned from a previous tenant.
- 3/5
Comfortable beds but the room was dark and a bit smelly.

- 4/5
Nice hotel, close to shops and mayo clinic.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
They changed our room which was nice. Our first room was dark and smelled like wet dog. You're paying for convenience. You can walk to the Mayo Clinic. Our second room was much better. It was light and we had a balcony. It smelled clean. The front desk staff were great.
- 3/5
The fact that we found in our rooms 2 water bottles with a sign tag on them $5 was incredible. The restaurant was also very pricey. No free breakfast there! And the room rate was more than other hotels, just bc of the proximity. Mayo has free outdoor parking lots or $5 per day garages. Their cafes and restaurants are very reasonable. Also the same water that Marriott charged $5 was for a bottle twice the size was 2.98 at Mayo! We felt that Marriott was taking advantage of their location but callous about the reason people were there. Shame on Marriot

Didn’t like it was on hospital grounds.
- 5/5

- 3/5
Clean but needs freshening up. Carpet had some stains. There was an old smoke smell in room but should not have been. Old paint, worn furniture. Only good thing was that it was on Mayo campus. Expect better for a $250- plus taxes room. Reminded me of a lesser quality motel.
- 5/5
We chose this property because of its proximity to Mayo Clinic. I am sure they have a ‘captive’ audience, but the lobby, room, and restaurant are well kept. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Rooms are spacious and beds are acceptable. We would stay again if needed.
- 4/5
The staff at the Mayo Clinic courtyard are incredibly kind as they know the people staying there are going to the Mayo Clinic for medical issues. I saw staff hug repeat visitors to the hotel. It felt very heartwarming.
- 2/5
However, Ms. Kim 3p-10p front desk employee was AMAZING! She deserves 10/5⭐! If you had 5 more like her, it would make a true difference. Now, the overnight woman; rude, condescending, and not personable which is required for the front desk.
- 3/5
It’s old and dated
- 4/5
There's a nice shuttle that runs over to the hospital. If you dont have a car there isn't much of anything in walking distance off of the campus. The food court at Mayo is very good! The staff is very good at the hotel . ffood selection wyou also.
- 2/5
The bathroom was filthy; two drawers in the dresser below the TV would not stay closed, the bed was saggy, and the towels were rough.
- 5/5
This property is perfect for anyone needing to visit the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. It is convinient and has a shuttle every 15 minutes to every spot in the Mayo Campus. All the employees were helpful and availble. We enjoyed our stay there.

- 5/5

- 5/5
The hotel wiuld benefit from upgrades to the property. The staff is the best.
- 4/5
should have couple water bottles in every room for free like all other hotels
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staffs.
- 5/5
We booked for 5 people. Tgew room had 2 queen beds only. The front desk went out of their way to find a cot.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 5/5
Courtesy, and no negative surprises.
- 5/5
Super easy check. Really nice room
- 5/5
Comfortable place to stay for the night.
- 5/5
One night stay that was peaceful with no complaints. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful.
- 4/5
Location to Mayo Clinic is excellent, breakfast at the bistro was good
- 1/5
Courtyard’s and this is the Worst ever !!! A person called Chuck at the front desk is a bigot, prepotent, the worst. Dr. Bourdony
- 5/5
Clean and convenience to the Clinic. Wonderful property on its own.
- 5/5
Nice option if you are visiting mayo
- 1/5
The hotel is within the Mayo Clinic complex and most of the guests are patients of the hospital some have medical devices like oxygen concentrators when we lost power the hotel didn’t have a backup generator
- 4/5
Great staff and quick
- 5/5
The hotel is convenient to the hospital facilities. It has a well-equipped fitness center and a reasonably priced restaurant.
- 5/5
It was such a nice and convenient place to stay..
- 4/5
Because you can walk to the Mayo Clinic
- 3/5
High priced, considering most who stay here are patients or family of patients - would have been nice to offer patients receiving treatments a discounted rate
- 5/5
Room very clean and the staff very helpful about Jacksonville fla. And price is reasonable as well
- 5/5
Awesome place!
- 5/5
I liked that it was in walking distance to the Mayo Clinic. It was clean, everyone was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
My stay was excellent. Jenny at the front desk was so kind and helpful. I was just there to go to the Mayo Clinic and there was a convenient shuttle that dropped me off exactly where I needed to be.
- 5/5
Cleanliness
- 4/5
The property was as advertised
- 3/5
Overnight stay? , room did have a funny smell, like moldy.. also could have soap to wash hands in the sink area.
- 4/5
NICE PROPERTY
- 3/5
I had to stay at another hotel, because they overbooked. Grear location, but hotel is getting dated
- 4/5
It was noisy from doors that made a lot of noise when they closed to toilets that sounded like torpedo launchers. You can hear all the toilets in the rooms around you. I could also hear conversations going down the hall. I rarely stay in a hotel that does not offer complimentary coffee in the lobby but this is one. The grounds outside are beautiful and very nice to walk and it’s very convenient to visiting the Mayo Clinic.
- 3/5
Close to Mayo Clinic
- 4/5
Good convenient location to Mayo
- 5/5
We had a great stay at this Courtyard. It’s a very short walk to the Mayo Clinic, the staff was great, rooms were clean, and the grounds are well kept. Rafael at the front desk was kind and accommodating.
- 5/5
Excellent and attentive staff
- 3/5
The limited dining staff was outstanding and the food surprisingly good. After dinner, my wife stopped by a small table where guests could make themselves a hot chocolate. Water and marshmallows were there but the hot chocolate mix (container) was empty. My wife managed to be unfortunate enough to question the same front desk employee about getting more mix. The lady was wiping her mouth from presumably having a bite to eat (at the front desk?). She snapped back at my wife and said "it'll get refilled in a while". There were two people behind the desk and no customers being helped at the time. We soent the $350 for one night because of an early morning appointment at Mayo. But at this price point Marriott is taking advantage of people who need to be close to the clinic. It's not a beach resort. It's a lower, mid-level hotel at best with higher mid-level food and beverage staff and service. At this price point I can spend a night on the beach or in a major city. Very disappointed, but it was necessary for the moment. Not recommended.
- 4/5
Nice stay
- 4/5
Staff is very accomodating to people who are going through a rough time.
- 3/5
The cost is much higher than exact same accommodations at other hotels within 5 minutes. I sometimes stay there only due to the convenience of being on Mayo Campus when I have early appointments.
- 3/5
The main drawback is that the facility is dated. Carpets, fixtures, etc are dated. Needs some refreshing. It was clean and otherwise comfortable.
- 4/5
If you have appointments over at the mayo clinic, this is a good place to stay
- 1/5
We had a terrible experience. We had a bunch of drunks stayed in the room next to us. They kept us up all night.
- 3/5
Check in was not until 4:00 pm as stated and not a minute before. Although we were upgraded to a suite ( and I paid $ 350.00 ) breakfast was not included. Seemed like a bit of an older hotel but had many upgrades. Front lobby staff seemed a bit lacking with usually just one person helping.
- 3/5
Hotel’s location is great for Mayo clinic. Room was as expected but long walks in hallways to get to elevator. My biggest issue was the very poor and actually not working coffee maker.
- 5/5
I liked everything. I really loved the over-night and morning female front desk staff. They were extremely professional and very helpful when I was there and when I called back about the "hold" charges. Thank you for a great hotel experience. I will definately refer that location to others and I will be back myself one day soon.
- 3/5
I stayed at this property due to it's location by Mayo Clinic. The price paid is not close to the value received. The property, mainly the rooms are very dated. I've stay at Windgate down the street and it is much more up-to-date and is half the price.
- 4/5
The ice machine almost never worked on 3rd and 2nd floor
- 5/5
Shuttle to Mayo and the driver is excellent and very friendly
- 5/5
Our stay was great and so close to Mayo Clinic and sites.
- 5/5
The hotel is well managed, clean, and on the Mayo campus which makes it very convenient. The hotel Bistro has a limited menu but the food is very good and well prepared.
- 3/5
Amazingly over priced. Very convenient location next-door to the Mayo Clinic & hospital, but we truly believe they're taking advantage of their location and heavily overcharging their clients. There's a Marriott Residence Inn half a mile away that's $150 less. Give me a break!
- 5/5
The property is a bit expensive to stay at, but the trade off is it is located on Mayo campus, which is beautiful. Once you park your car you can walk everywhere, and there is a regularly running shuttle. The hotel has excellent food, and Mayo has an excellent cafeteria. The hotel has staff around the clock, and if you need something at night they can get it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you are at Mayo for an issue, the last thing you want to worry about is where your are staying, and this hotel takes cares of everything, very unique.
- 5/5
Great facility and team members. Clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
Stay was great
- 3/5
This hotel depresses me-the only positive is that it is within walking distance to the Mayo Clinic. There is no maid service and when you call, they say its every other day. If you do not call the night before, you get no maid service. The front desk clerks do not tell you about the conditions for maid service upon checking in. The bathroom smell of a mixture of urine and mildew (from the shower curtains). They charge a premium rate of $400/night for a rundown room- We have been traveling to Jacksonville to the Mayo Clinic once a month for a year and dread staying at this hotel. Like I stated before, the only thing going for this hotel is the distance to the Mayo Clinic and the convenience.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay as one navigates the Mayo Clinic round of appointments. Short 5 min walk to most Mayo Campus buildings.
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortably furnished, quiet and bed very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Great service! Good food. Great location.
- 2/5
Food and service was bad. Inflated prices because of proximity to Mayo campus. I feel like I got taken!
- 5/5
It is very convenient to Mayo - walkable. The late checkout is an advantage for anyone have procedures done. It has a great restaurant that accommodates many dietary restrictions.
- 5/5
As always a great place to relax and unwind from a day at Mayo Clinic. Stay here everyone we have to visit.
- 1/5
The room had very bad smell from old dirty carpet. A loud noise from old AC system all night
- 5/5
Prior to checking in, I posted a message with a specific request. Shortly, I received a response from Mr. David Mason who was able to honor my request. I am very appreciative of his assistance. Upon arrival, the check-in process was very pleasant with a very friendly front desk lady, Carrie. During my stay, the two housekeepers, Brenda and "Mama" were very helpful with amenities and great with lively conversations. After a week of stay, I needed to extend my stay, the smiley Ms. Alicia was very kind in accommodating my request. Thank you all for your warm and welcoming hospitality.

2 Items, way too expensive for this hotel. Not even free coffee. In my room 220, when you enter the bathroom to the shower room, there is a small step between the two, I almost fell and grabbed the curtain on the way down it saved me. That should be corrected or pointed out.
- 4/5
Beautiful location

Convenience to Mayo
- 5/5
Cleanness is excellent. Every time we go to the Mayo Clinic we stay at this Hotel
- 4/5
Bed was too soft. Shower is way too small. Everything else was good. Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Very nice accommodations
- 4/5
Convenient to Mayo Jacksonville, within walking distance. Hotel is comfortable, food is very good, service is excellent.
- 5/5
Had to go to Mayo Clinic & the ease of staying here was awesome! The hotel is clean & staff friendly!
- 2/5
Unfortunately we did not get a chance to even see the room, we arrived late at midnight. Opened room door put on light and watched the little critters scatter. My wife closed the door and we went back to the front desk and they refunded us the money and we left.
