Beautiful property with friendly staff and spacious rooms!
- 4/5
We love the pool area, the beach, the service staff and the restaurant. This is our third trip to the Ocean Club. Front desk also are all friendly. Love newer boards of daily happenings .. consider electronic. Housekeeping helpful. So a few things 1) larger trash bins in rooms and bathrooms- families fill too fast in one day 2) check lightbulbs in all rooms third year third time light bulb issue 3) full length mirror add to rooms helpful to get ready 4) bathroom fans to help with humidity and bathroom odors 5) bit larger fridge helpful if older patrons need to bring special dietary needs or for new babies / mom refrigerator needs.

Great property and staff, dining on site was great, the wharf at the sister property wasn’t very good
- 5/5
Great location Huge room
- 4/5
On a positive note, the view was beautiful, the room was clean and the staff was very pleasant. The restaurant breakfast was very good and our waitress, Gabriella, was very nice.
- 5/5
That we couldn't stay there longer
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious room. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Central location to beach district with shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Nothing
- 4/5
Food was good - a little more of "American" food should be served along with seafood and less jalapeno food. Extra water and coffee in the rooms and also blankets for each bed.
- 2.5/5
We had asked for early check in. When we arrived we were told our room was not ready and that they would text when it was. We sat in the lobby waiting for a long time and at shift change we inquired again and was told it was in fact ready. The other thing I would have like to have seen was more chaise lounge chairs that were in the shade. The few they had were taken by guests who weren’t even around. They put their towels down and left.
- 4/5
Staff were fantastic. Restaurant food was delicious. Room was nice, but the bed mattress was way to old and very uncomfortable. They need to be replaced!
- 5/5
The oceanfront suite was a great room. Hotel was fabulous and service was great. Can’t wait to go back!!!
- 3/5
The room was really nice for the price. The room had a balcony with a great view of the beach & sunrise. The bathroom toilet was broke no one came to fix it. My husband hand to ipen the lid to manually flush it everytime we went to the bathroom. The water pressure for the shower so weak so it was awful. Then shower water would go hot then cold then bk hot while showering. Ended pay $189 more than what expedia stated for taxes. We were charged resort transient fee, hotel/motel fee, room occupancy tax and island preservation tax per day. It was only a 2 day trip had to spend way over than expedia said you would pay in taxes when you check-in. It wouldnt been a problem if was warned before hand. Paying all those extra taxes & fees wasn't a problem, if someone came to stay didnt know those fees at check out could run into issues with paying. When they didn't budget for extra expenses.
- 5/5
It was awesome. Great facility, great staff, just really couldn’t have been better.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, excellent view of the beach
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Always love this place. Had trouble with tv and no one helped. We figured it out.
- 5/5
The hotel was awesome, and the staff was even more awesome. Emily at the front desk was especially helpful and attentive.
- 5/5
Beautiful, spacious, clean accommodations.
- 5/5
The rooms and property are lovely. All the employees that we talked with were all very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
It was wonderful
- 4/5
Very limited pedestrian offerings. Unless you take the trolley or drive into town, there's little to do right at the hotel ?!!
- 2/5
Overall, the property was disappointing. This hotel is priced far beyond what is offered in terms of service and amenities. Lack off attention to detail such as not continuously keeping pool towels stocked, broken pool chairs with cigarette burn holes, broken steps leading to the beach, and large gaps in the stonework around the pool are elements that should never be noticed when a property prides itself in luxury and tradition. This hotel is priced like a Ritz but presents itself as a lower Marriott/Hilton property. I would look elsewhere if I were to ever go to Jekyll Island again.
- 4/5
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure my wife and I had an enjoyable stay. But we had trouble with the TVs most days. They would go out and maintenance had to reboot them several times during our stay. The room above me was noisy with young kids running back and forth late nights and early morning. We complained about that and it appeared to stop. The next door neighbors heard it and complained as well. Overall I would come back again.
- 5/5
This is an amazing property. The staff were all incredible, the rooms were clean and exceptionally comfortable. The location can't be beat, right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other amenities. I will stay here again when I next get to Jekyll Island.
- 5/5
LOVE this place! Beautiful rooms, great service
- 4.5/5
It was extremely clean, very spacious and the staff were very professional and courteous. The Driftwood beach was nice. Archie, Hailey and Derrick were great! There were no complimentary breakfast, at that price point you'd think at least breakfast would be complimentary. The water in the hotels restaurant smelled and tasted like the ocean, including the ice. It is a family styled resort but the kids can be heard through the walls and celiling.
- 1/5
Drove five hours only to be told hotel was oversold despite having confirmation number, Expedia email, and welcome letter. Deposit not refunded. No help from Expedia. Hours wasted “message” typing and calling..
- 5/5
Very beautiful
- 5/5
Lovely place with amazing access to the ocean front. Helpful staff especially at the bar. We ate at the restaurant which was very good too. Robin
- 3/5
Issues were: Hot tub was broken Many pool side umbrellas were broken There hot water was lacking There was no poolside bar, that amenity refers to the sister location
- 5/5
Family of 6 and we loved it! Perfect location, room was excellent and clean. We will be back
- 5/5
Beautiful property on a beautiful beach! Service is top-notch. Food is fantastic.
- 5/5
Breakfast had the quality staples with a wonderful atmosphere.
- 5/5
Despite unusually cold weather, the reception at Jekyll Ocean Club was warm and welcoming. We found plenty to do on the island and nearby. We had amazing meals here and in other island restaurants. Had a massage, loved the hot tub and everyone enjoyed horseback riding on the beach. Love this hotel. Our second time there and will be back for sure.
- 5/5
Breathtaking ocean views, exceptional service, and a relaxed atmosphere. There comfortable beds, with ideal firmness and quality, guarantee a restful night's sleep. Perfect for a rejuvenating getaway.
- 5/5
golf course in the area
- 5/5
Amazing hotel on the beach! A few staff members were not very friendly and accommodating but maybe they were getting off long shifts?
- 5/5
Area very quiet day and night. Nice bike\walking path that leads to Village Plaza with some quaint shops and local restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Great location, great room set up for two smaller kids, great pool and beach set up. Fantastic service! Definitely recommend! We will be going back!
- 5/5
Allles ist super ,und absolut emflenswert
- 5/5
We loved it !
- 5/5
No microwave in room and fridge very small.
- 5/5
Beds were so comfortable! We felt spoiled the entire visit.
- 4/5
Rooms very nice. Staff outstanding. Dinning excellent. Outside pool facilities somewhat dated.
- 5/5
Excellent stay! Would definitely come back.
- 2/5
Went a year and half ago , this time not as nice. Property already seems run down and service very slow. Was told room would be ready and had to wait 2 hrs. Bikes rusty and over priced. Lawn by patio rooms dead and had rabbit droppings all over it. Got a cabana and waited over an hour for chips and salsa. Kitchen doesn’t seem to communicate with staff. Too many managers not enough workers.
- 4.5/5
Breakfast was very good More food options at Ocean Club
- 5/5
Such a convenient location. Suite was super spacious.
- 5/5
Beautiful suites. Nice and large. Very comfortable Shuttle didn't show up at 915. Had to wait until 945.
- 5/5
Padding through, heard a lot about JI so wanted to check it out. Traveling with 5 in our party so my options were limited with wanting one room. Spent more than I cared to for the night. But it was beautiful.
- 5/5
the breakfast was fair with limited menu
- 4.5/5
Everyone was wonderfully nice, our room was amazing.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast selection was good. Location was very nice. Noise from floor above was irritating and beds were a bit uncomfortable
- 3/5
It was ok but the Resort good use more amenities and activities to do
- 5/5
Enjoyed the stay
- 5/5
Very private
- 1/5
Children running around scream like the pool was an amusement park and ruined the whole trip sadly as over a dozen small children unsupervised took over the pool and hot tub
- 4/5
The property is right on thr beach! patio and pool area are very nice, our room seemed a little dated out had missing carpet in places, and scuffs on alot of the walls I would stay again, but not at the rate we paid.
- 4/5
Nice property but overpriced for the amenities offered.
- 5/5
Beautiful!
- 5/5
Beautiful view! Nice quiet relaxation!
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay at the hotel, never fails to be a time with wonderful memories!
- 5/5
Beautiful property right on the beach
- 5/5
Perfect location which is right off the beach. Various restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and the hotel itself has a wonderful restaurant and bar! They have a shuttle which will take you further down the road if desired. My husband and I stayed here for the Shrimp and Grits festival and we plan on going back in the future!
- 5/5
True southern hospitality lives and breathes here from beginning to end this was nothing short of a perfect stay everyone who works here cares about people and treated us like family we loved and will come back again !
- 5/5
Loved the property
- 5/5
Our reserved room had an AC issue but they worked thru that with us prior to arrival to find a suitable alternative. Great service. The choice between Island and Ocean Club was a hard one and we really loved both properties but ultimately, with kids, we think it was great to be located at the beach for easy access and then spend time at the Island Club, as we wanted. It truly gave us the best of both worlds and both locations are fantastic. Very different....a tale of two vacations, really....but such a cool experience. The beach was beautiful, quiet, soft white sand and plenty of space. Low tide does go down far enough that it'll turn muddy for awhile but that was always during peak heat and we were fine doing something else anyway. No issues for us as the other nearby beaches remain primarily sand. The rooms were comfortable for our family of four but I do think they're ready for a deep clean, post the summer season. The floors were greasy and just need a good cleaning. I do also wish they had slightly more options for a kitchenette. Even a microwave and toaster would go a long way for families whose kids have 24/7 snacking needs. Most of the staff were totally pleasant and food service was fine although they need more casual poolside food options. All in all, we loved it and would happily return and recommend it to others!
- 2.5/5
We have enjoyed JOCR for our last 4 anniversaries…..not this time ! No concierge , no one to assist with the luggage and your gym’s Peleton was a nightmare to use. Food was excellent and service at the pool by the two young waiters especially Olivia was excellent. It is with regret that we won’t be celebrating our. 54th anniversary as we have for our 51st, 52nd and 53rd which were all at the Jekyll ocean. Me and mrs. woronowich No Concierge , no one to help with luggage, pool was noisy , food was excellent and pool service folks were great. It was our 54th wedding anniversary and we were truly disappointed. We won’t be back for our 55th!!
- 5/5
I was really impressed with how clean the room was and how friendly everyone was.
- 5/5
Everything was great The price of the mini bar refreshments were a little expensive
- 4.5/5
Great location. What a view! We also loved the island Bar staff (Holly especially) were great, as were waiters and waitresses. Levi and the other maitre de were also great. Food excellent (if expensive) Amazing pool Very-very clean It’s an expensive holiday. We loved the hotel, but you get the feeling they are trying to rinse you for every penny they can. Great staff, but a couple of people on reception (not Teresa who was lovely) were a bit grumpy. Manners cost nothing.
- 5/5
The room was really amazing with the pool right outside and the beach just a few yards farther along. The only thing I wasn't super impressed with was the food at 80s Ocean. It used to be much better but has lost a step or two. For those prices, it should be the best restaurant on Jekyll.
- 5/5
Perfect place for a girls weekend!
- 5/5
Great place for the family and to relax!!!
- 4/5
Expensive but nice
- 5/5
Wonderful property with beautiful ocean views. Staff was very helpful and service-oriented. We had a wonderful stay!
- 4/5
I used Travelocity to book this stay. The room I booked was called “poolside”, but it actually meant a first floor room. In order to get a higher level floor, I had to upgrade to “Oceanside” at a much higher price. The description of the types of rooms should be changed on Travelocity so solo travelers know they will only be allowed on first floor rooms if it says “poolside”.
- 4/5
Property was nice, room was spacious. Loved that the property was on the beach and close access to dining, shops, etc. If we kept our doors open to hear the sounds of the beach, gnats would come in.
- 5/5
Very nice suite for the girls to get ready for my daughter’s wedding! The staff was also very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Great location, clean spacious rooms and kind staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
- 5/5
There was more action at the Club, so we drove back and forth several times a day. Tried shuttle but it was unsatisfactory because we didn’t like waiting. The restaurant was first class and musicians added to the pleasant ambience. The walls were a bit thin and we were next to the elevator so lots of kid noise.
- 4/5
Best place to stay on Jekyll Island!
- 5/5
Very friendly when checking in and our room was very spacious and spotless. The hotel location was right on the beach and a great location to walk around to shop and eat. Breakfast was excellent !! Definitely will be back !!
- 5/5
Will be back Great service Great food
- 5/5
Great place!

Great place

We thought this would be a nice spot to stay and “splurged” on a one night (>$900) room. Upon check in, we were told that due to a maintenance issue, our two queen room was not available. They claimed they could not get in touch with us, since we booked through hotels.com. The only available was a king bed, with a sofa bed. We then learned that the outdoor hot tub was broken too. After our stay, we received an emailed survey from the hotel. We replied with our issues — no follow up whatsoever. We reached out to hotels.com, as a frequent user, they said they would reach out to the hotel. We called the hotel and got the general manager’s email. We sent an email, no response. Do not stay here. The Westin next door looks nice and also has Starbucks in the lobby. We were directed there by the hotel. Issues happen, but when you spend >$800 a night, you expect to have the amenities you book, you also except accountability and concessions if things aren’t available.
- 5/5
Lovely stay
- 5/5
Beautiful resort. Loved the patio and ocean view. Biked everyday on routes with both ocean views and mature trees. Food at 80 Ocean at resort was wonderful. Loved the eggs Benedict on corn bread and shrimp scampi. Restaurant staff was very accommodating and thoughtful. Very nice family vacation in the United States. We also love Mexican resorts but were able to drive to Jekyll Island and bring our bikes.
- 5/5
Experience was fabulous. Enjoyed being greeted at the door upon arrival. Check-in process was seamless and smooth. Literally took 3 mins. Everything was ready and available at check-in. Room was huge and clean. We had immediate acces to the beach and pool area. Just as check in was quick check out was the same. Everyone was very nice. Would def stay again.
- 4/5
It was comfortable and convenient.
- 4/5
It is a nice facility right off the beach and excellent location
- 2/5
For the price, the room was tired, not luxurious, nickel and dime you for water, coffee was horrible. The bathroom reminded me c of a nursing home with a shower curtain! Sink faucet sprayed with sulfur smell. The toilet dispenser was metal like a public bathroom. The hallways reminded me of the convention center. The beds were not comfortable. All around. Very disappointing for a location on Jekyll Island. would not recommend us at all. I will for sure not be back.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our vacation at your property
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great attentive staff
- 5/5
I cannot say enough about the staff and hospitality they provided. This is my second visit, the first being over Thanksgiving. Both experiences were a reminder of how kind and caring places can be and how they can truly make you feel like family.
- 4/5
The lady at the front desk is not kind, her attitude makes me uncomfortable. All others are good, except her service.
- 5/5
Excellent location.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay; great accommodations. Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! We highly recommend upgrading to a suite, which is spacious and have a gorgeous view! We’re already planning our next stay here.
- 5/5
Restaurant needed to post hours open and extend service time. Wonderful resort and would go back again.
- 3/5
Very noisy through adjoining room walls and overhead. Poor lighting in rooms.Bed pillows were the size of sham inserts not actual pillows for sleeping.
- 4/5
It was a lovely property. Definitely overpriced but pretty, clean and everyone is very nice. Our AC was not working which was incredibly uncomfortable but the staff was on top of trying to remedy the problem.
- 5/5
Staff was great and property nice and relaxing
- 5/5
Low key On beach Understaffed but staff on duty excellent Large suite
- 5/5
The rooms were very impressive - love the space and especially the balconies. I would recommend this property to anyone - it hits all the marks
- 5/5
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week at the Jekyll Ocean Club. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Madison and Jeremy made our dining experiences extra special! We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
The facility and it's amenities are amazing! The hotel is pretty new and is very well thought out. The food was great at the restaurant, the rooms are gorgeous, and the staff was very accommodating.
- 5/5
Size of rooms and ocean balconies
- 5/5
Excellent ocean front view and location. Can’t wait until we come back again!
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was great - The location was perfect and close to everything we needed. Our room had a very large balcony/patio that faced the ocean and sunrise! The restaurant was very good, and had a nice screened in outside area. And the front desk staff was overwhelmingly helpful with reservations and anything else we needed. We definitely will be back! 😎
- 5/5
great restaurant with excellent service, great oceanfront views, very nice furnishings
- 5/5
Beautiful property with amazing staff and great customer service.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Great beach location. Restaurant is nice. The hotel is relatively quiet. We had the ice maker right outside our room so that was a bit noisy but other than that it was a nice stay.
- 5/5
We loved the boutique feel about it and absolutely loved our top floor beach view corner king suite. Could have sat on that balcony the whole time. We dined at the restaurant in the hotel Eighty Ocean Kitchen & Bar and experienced impeccable service. It would have been nice for their to have been a little bodega on-site, but we found the Jekyll Market and the Circle K to be convenient. We will return there. We really enjoyed the off-season and holidays feel of the Jekyll Ocean Club.
- 5/5
Just an amazing property. Oceanfront and super close to the water. Love the suite layout. Great sitting room with plenty of comfy seating, lovely bathroom, nice long counter with extra sink, fridge and coffee maker and amazing balcony. The bed was fabulous and the resort was very quiet. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Room is very clean. Furniture and room decoration is nice and looks new. Room size is comfortable. Balcony is large with great view. The only comment is that hopefully the unit could be equipped with smart TV in the future so people can view their favorite stuff on Netflix and YouTube..., etc. Cable is a old thing and need more options in the digital and streaming world...
- 4/5
Beautiful resort. Disappointed there was no room cleaning or shuttle service 'due to Covid' - didn't understand this! But the room was nice and the food was wonderful. Enjoyed renting their bikes for several days!
- 5/5
Very nice and clean, but the staff service was excellent.
- 5/5
This Hotel is amazing and we will return. Clean and the food is outstanding. We got the room requested and had a great time! Thank you Jekyll Ocean club
- 5/5
This hotel is spectacular. Every room is new and an oceanview suite. We also had a wonderful time at the pool and restaurant as well. The only thing holding this hotel back from being a 5 star hotel is the lack of a bellman/valet and the bathrooms are on the smaller side. Other than that I couldn't recommend the Jekyll Ocean Club highly enough. Im not sure why the Expedia sites have it rated as a 3.5 star hotel, it definitely holds a higher rating than that! We were sad to leave and will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Loved rhe ocean view and the room was very nice, especially for a family
- 5/5
Dry relaxing time great view miles of clean & beautiful beach
- 5/5
It was located in a perfect spot, right along the beach. And guests here shared the amenities as the historic Jekyll Island Club Resort. Close to everything. I believe this must be a new hotel, because everything in the hotel, and in our suite, was in immaculate condition.
- 5/5
I love the space in the bedroom, sitting room and MOST especially that private balcony looking over the OCEAN!!!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly yet professional. The oceanfront suite was just right for viewing the ocean and relaxing. Access to the beach was readily available.
- 3/5
The check in process was unsatisfactory. I booked and received confirmation for two rooms. Upon arrival we were told that I had canceled one of the rooms. And I had paid a one night deposit on both rooms. When I explained this was not the case, they said hotels.com canceled the room. Then they said you only sent the information for one room. They totally missed the second reservation under the other party name. And then they showed them as a no show. We were concerned as we were not sure they were giving us both rooms. It was very disturbing and took a long time. It wasn't until checkout two days later that they figured it out and finally apologized to us. The hotel clerk embarrassed me by telling all of us that I had cancelled one of the rooms. He just made it up, because they couldn't figure out the reservation even though I had all the confirmation paperwork. Terrible experience.
