Best Western Joliet Inn & Suites

Since I was exhausted from a 1,000-mile drive straight through the night, I waited out in my car in their parking lot and tried to sleep a little bit. Between 9:30 and 3:00 pm, I sat in my car with no callback despite the parking lot being almost entirely empty. I had a hard time believing there was no available room for me to check in early, which was a real negative for me. Other than that, once I did finally check in. I just went straight to bed because I had been awake for over 24 hours. I didn't take in any of the amenities and just showered and went straight to bed. I slept great, though I probably would have slept well horizontally anywhere. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Breakfast came with hot eggs, sausage, and other continental-type things. No complaints, I was grateful for a warm meal.

We needed a place to stay overnight between days in Chicago and Des Moines and this location was great. The room was just right for the two of us, and the accommodations met our needs. We rolled in about 9:30, went to bed pretty early, needing to be up in the morning, and everything worked well. The breakfast was hot and ready early, so we could hit the road with full stomachs.

I did like the aspect of a suite I didn’t feel so confined what I did not like was that the room did not look upgraded, the breakfast was not anything to remember! I was glad I was only staying one night and McDonald’s was around the corner which was appealing! Aside from the breakfast, not being up to par. The lady running the breakfast area was working really hard.

My room had a smell to it when we walked in and the ceiling looked horrible above the couch. The shower had bugs in it which is ridiculous. They knew two guest were gonna be in the room but only gave us one facial towel and bath towel in our room all the other towels were for drying hands/spills. And don’t get me started on breakfast 6am-9am?.. crazy and then the breakfast wasn’t good or looked appetizing at all; the woman putting the food out was coughing and the food was cold. I didn’t want to eat anything I saw there I had to opt for cereal. And there was barely anyone at the front desk for when I did need help. First time coming and it will be my list time there.

Excellent stay - stayed while we were racing at Rt 66 Raceway. Quiet - no animals - and didn't stink like pot. 5 Stars for that. Wish more Hotel Managers and Owners put Smoke Sensors in rooms so that people weren't stinking the place up with pot smoke.

Its a breakfast area every morning they have a hot brekfast menu not just fruit and a bagel or waffle like others. I would recommend

Honestly one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. The room smelled like fish, my door handle broke off as soon as I walked in, the sheets had stains on them, I almost threw up from the smell when I opened the microwave. Overall this place is dirty and not well kept. Will definitely never be back.

The pictures are nothing like the actual hotel. It is VERY run down. There was mold in the air conditioner and massive holes in our sheets. Pretty sure the sheets on our bed were dirty. Will not be returning

Everything about this place is terrible. ESPECIALLY the staff. They stole $477 from me, refusing to refund me although THEY charged me, NOT Expedia. On top of that, it smells and isn’t clean. They are mad because i refused to stay there with my babies. So instead of just charging me for one night, they are refusing to refund anything. The absolute worst!

A spacious room with a beautiful TV comfortable bed

Everything was fine.

Eggs and sausage links and patties were barely room temperature unless they were freshly replenished of which I was fortunate to have some of. The toilet paper holder in my room was loose and partially hanging and the desk in the room has what appears to be smeared with superglue or something like it that I couldn’t remove. The stopper in the bathroom sink wouldn’t close tightly so I wasn’t able to run water that the sink would hold, it just drained. I appreciate the close handicap parking as my travel companion is disabled.

Room was okay, but front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming. Parking lot seemed sketchy, with people standing across street, watching everything. Stairwell smelled heavily of pot. Lady serving breakfast was very nice.

The handicapped room does not conform to the 2018 Illinois Accessibility Code. The hallway smelled like smokable adult substances at 8pm and the breakfast room is overcrowded with furniture.

Hotel was appeared to have been renovated. The rooms were roomy compared to other hotels I've been to. The bathroom was clean and fixtures were relatively new. The only drawback I experienced was that the room was not cleaned when we were away; the towels were replaced but the room was not tidied up.

Good place for a quick overnight. Shower curtains are short, be careful when showering or you’ll have a mess to mop up. Breakfast wasn’t the best, staff very friendly.

I wish i didnt book this room immediately when we arrived they said my son was considered an adult he's 15 when i booked the room I added that he was 15 they claim it was a fee tgey decided not to charge me everything was a back and forth abt whatbwe cld or cldnt do in the Hotel irritated theybeven said we cldnt eat breafast in our room when ive never heard that wldnt book them again

The toiletpaper holder and towel rack were both broken. Other than that it was fine. Comfortable beds and clean.

Somewhat older property but clean and in a good location. The AC/heating unit was noisy, but I used the controls to limit the run time.

The person in the next room was a VERY loud snorer.

This hotel is right off the highway but still very quiet. My bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. It has a small but long pool so I was able to swim some laps. Nobody else was using the pool.

Easy check-in, clean rooms. The only issue was not the hotel itself, but the smell of pot was next level. However, we only smelled it when checking in and not on our floor or our room.

Did not like our stay at all. Room was not very clean , problems with TV, pool towels were the size of a hand towel(and stained) breakfast are was crowded with too many tables and floor was incredibly sticky. Would not stay again. Employees not very professional to say the least.

Strange odor from carpet

The people at the desk were friendly, the breakfast was good. The bed was low and was ok, the air conditioner was very loud, there were 2 window shades, one did not go down all the way, which allowed the light shining on the window to shine in the room.

It was ok for the night the bathroom and jet tub needed some extra cleaning.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I asked for extra blankets, pillows, and towels, and they had no issue letting me have more. They were very professional and polite. My check in experience was the most smooth one I’ve had yet! The hotel was cleaned well, it could use some upgrades but overall great for the price! We utilized this hotel for the entire weekend to visit Chicago. It offered us a close drive without feeling crowded or like we were in a big city. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, everything in our room worked fantastically.

The only thing wrong was that the room smelt like cigar/tobacco smoke.

Overall the stay was fine, but I asked for a wake up call the last day, and I didn’t get it. I woke up 45 minutes later than I planned. I didn’t have time for breakfast, I was rushing around trying to get organized. Luckily traffic was better than expected to get downtown. So it was good except the wake up call.

We checked in a little before 9pm. My daughter was looking forward to the pool but they closed at 9 so she only had a few minutes. I let her go in and front service came to lock the doors and saw she was still there. They let her stay an extra 15 minutes since we arrived late and she was thrilled. Very friendly staff, room was in great condition. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice place and very reasonable

Overall, my stay was great. However, the hotel states that there are enforced quiet hours but they were definitely not enforced. The rooms around me were screaming and yelling in the hallways until close to 3AM and no one stopped them

We changed for bed after returning and found the TV did not work. We noticed a cord hanging down. We did not see an easy way to putting it in to the wall mounted tv so we called the desk. The first thing he said was accused us of pulling it out. We absolutely did not. After about 30 minutes and him try, the staffer got it to work. Ready for bed and the room was hot. We had not seen a thermostat and had not touched the wall unit yet. We tried to get it going. It powered up but did not seem to stay on. We had to push the circuit button on the plug a few times to get air moving. It seemed to fail in the middle of the night with us trying to figure out how to make it work at 3 am in a hot room. Breakfast in the morning was lackluster. The automatic pancake machine did not really work without staff coming and poking it. The hot food was not very hot. Best Westerns usually are better quality but not this one
