Scottish Inns Kenmore

Royal Restaurant next door, Olympic diner across the street, easy to walk to both. It's not a luxurious place, but it was MORE than adequate for our stay, and the $ was right! Didn't use the shower, so not able to comment on water pressure, but the toilet in our first floor unit was powerful. Not noisy at all, did hear the upstairs guest occasionally, no big deal. Saw one small spider (just like being at home!), no other bugs to speak of. Check in was fine (staff was friendly and helpful), I would stay again if the need arose.

Nothing Worse place I ever stayed! The blanket was torn and cut, not enough pillows and the one provided is flat, the temperature was so high we couldn’t even sleep! The bed was the worse. Wish I checked the reviews before I booked it! No wonder why they denied the booking cancellation:3

Was heavy laden with third hand smoke. Air condition filter was matted with yellow dust. Furniture appeared never to be cleaned and was covered by yellow film. I will never go back.

Soap dispensers were full and they gave me one bed instead of the 2 i ordered

I liked the size of the room it’s a bit out dated but everything worked ok. The mattress was firm if you enjoy that kind of mattress and looking for a place to sleep for a night this place isn’t bad for the price.

Staff, Location.. no chair in room, no towels in room, no clock radio in room..very basic, assumed motel/hotel amenities..if you don't have these features, ADVERTISE that so future renters are aware before arriving..

It was clean. No hot water for a shower, got to lukewarm temp at best. No tissues, what's up with that? The last two motels I've stayed in had only the roll of toilet paper on the dispenser and no tissues. Very flat, uncomfortable pillows. We also had no little sofa to sit on, just the bed. The air conditioner was so loud and kept going on and off every 15 minutes. Could hardly sleep.

The property is clean and rhe price was right for the length of time needed. The room was clean and had the basic amenities.

The pictures look better than in person the room had a slight smell and was supposed to according to picture have a pull out couch which was not in the room which was going to be used for a child. Bed was comfortable, I was just staying there to sleep beforw leaving first thing in the am, but I would not want to stay for a longer period of time

The check in is slow with hand written everything. The room is very run down with unprofessional attempts at repairs. Our neighbors were sketchy at best. Another motel that doubles as housing for homeless people AND a motel. Wish they'd pick ONE. But I have to say the landscaping was pretty.

Metress was bad

Pretty affordable compared to many others. Staff was very polite and attentive. Few issues here and there with cold water not working correctly but nothing major. In a great area with convenience stores in walking distance. Definitely reccomend if you need something cheap and quaint to stay

Number 1 was lied to this is not a hotel this is a motel with horrid service and the room looked nothing like the images. Number 2 the man at the front office had a horrible attitude was nice at first but the second I asked a question he hit me with “you did not read the terms correctly” Number3 walked into the room and it smelt like cigarettes even though the “hotel” is smoke free and now all of my stuff smells like cigarettes. Number 4 The bed was very squeaky and the moment I moved just a little it made sounds. Could not sleep at all. Number 5 Awoken around 3 am heard people shouting and very loud and aggressive Number 6 Bathroom door in room 201 would not lock or close for that matter Also provided towels had bugs in them Number 7 shampoo and body wash did not work and shampoo was incredibly low quality and body wash was scratchy hard and frankly hurt to use.

They need better beds

The room is clean, room service every day, and the staff is friendly. It's also nice and quiet.

Stores near and around the hotel was in walking distance. The rude and disrespectful motel clerk/ manager working the front desk, and the fact that the rooms had no heat control that you could work in the room. It was controlled by the clerk or motel manager and the room stayed cold ? night and day!!

The peace I liked everything

The location was the only thing that I liked The Wi-Fi was not working very well, we were on the main floor and upstairs you can hear everything people walking up and down, hot water was not great. Took a long time to get to hot water. Our room was cold only a very thin blanket. The room also had pest control traps which means there’s creatures around.

Was there supposed to be a breakfast? I didn't see any room available for a breakfast. There was no maid service, and we were there for several days. There was only one small bath towel for two adults, we had to keep sharing the same towel for several days. There was no blanket, just a thin sheet on top, and the weather was freezing the entire time. Two small, flat pillows. The coffee maker only made about a half a cup of coffee.

There wasn't anything not to like. Except the snow.

This motel is for people who are minimalistic and wan't a room for the night. The area around is average, police station is close by. The room itself was clean, didn't see bedbugs, but the side of the nightstands were dirty with a semen look a like liquid stain. The matress was a little bit hard, but we still slept okay. We didn't have any heating system in the room, but they gave us a portable one that worked fine. Overall a good place to stay for the price if you plan on staying one night like we did.

So I just covered an infestation in my room and try reporting it and was greeted with hostility and legitimate rudeness with no possibility for resolution

So I had discovered a roach in the bathroom and I called the front desk very calmly to try and have the owner come and see it for himself and then I wouldn't even trying to leave I was going to ask for a different room and the gentleman started yelling at me telling me that he wasn't coming to the room telling me that that they don't have bugs and then I can leave if I wanted to

Bad = No closet; Thin bed spread without blanket; Chilly due to no heat control; C-Pac like sound enters via radiator floor trim; rental unit above heard like in a drum; Glad I brought my own pillows.

My room was horrible. The toilet had a crack at the base and leaked, There were numerous bugs in the room, especially in the bathroom area (including roaches). There was mold in the shower area and around the bathroom window. Do not stay at this motel unless you are prepared for unsanitary, unhealthy conditions.

The rooms contained bed bugs and when this was broughtt to the workers attention he was disrespectful and denied any service or refund. I did not stay in this hotel due to these conditions

My stay here was extremely pleasant and I plan on returning.

Overall it was a room for two nights and suitable but it was dated and the Bathroom was too small

What was unique was it reminded us of motels we used to stay in a long time ago.

There were no blankets. Only a sheet and a 1970s cover. When i asked for a blanket i was told this was the new technology to not have blankets. I had to argue with th Manager to get one. Pillows were tiny and old, asked for more. They didn't have any. No tissues in the room. They didn't have any. The air conditioner went on and off every 5 min and sounded like a jet engine! Woke us up all night long and you could not turn it off. Don't ever stay here

We had limited options for hotel rooms in Buffalo after our flights were canceled for the second day. This motel had the basics: beds, bath, fridge, microwave and a desk in an inaccessible alcove. The bathroom was filthy. I would not recommend this motel.

1 washcloth, 1hand towel, 2 bath towels for a 2 double bed room. 3ppl. Sheets seemed to not be fresh.

The air conditioner didn't work properly. It was up high and turn IC when the temp was reached and didn't turn back on.

We booked last minute as we needed a place to stay in Buffalo. We got to the hotel and check in was fine. Went out for the night and came back to a room that was 65 degrees. When I asked front desk they said you can’t control your own heat and that’s where they keep it. It’s not even room temperature on any scale. It was a freezing sleep with think blankets

Quiet and covient

The management staff are nice. The snow plow vendor needs to be there to plow faster. My car was literally sliding on to the road when trying to pull in. The bathrooms need better cleaning left over hair all in the sink and toilet. Towels need bleaching and most bed spreads have cigarette burns in them or stains that don’t come out.

Perfect location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely recommend 👍

No blanket...its november

1 lamp for room, dirty pillows and sheets. Hole in blanket, hard mattress possible bed begs, no chairs or tables, hostile mgr. 1 bed in the middle of the floor in a dark room... REALLY...? Expedia should refund my money because they are promoting this filthy motel

Spacious, clean, a bit dated (no USB connection but many electrical outlets). Two reasonably priced restaurants with good food within walking distance and two expressways within a mile. Not the Ritz but, for the price, the next best thing.

The room was clean but the sheets were stained and there was one cockroach found and mattress was very springy and uncomfortable

Bathroom area and vanity could use a little TLC. All in all it was a good room, we felt very safe.

It was alright

Before we entered the room we were told if anyone smokes in the room we would be charged extra which is completely understandable. We got into the room and the floors were dirty so we kept our shoes on. The backboard to one of the beds you could clearly see 2 handprints and other prints from someone being intimate. So we had my 6 yr old sleep in the other bed. Both beds had blankets that were covered in burn holes and stained sheets. Luckily we had travel pillows and blankets in the car for our long car ride. When my boyfriend stepped out to smoke by his car, he had people asking him for money, and to buy cigarettes and Marijuana (which we did not have). It was definitely not a very comfortable experience especially with my child. We definitely we never be staying there again.

Horrible, rude staff, dirty all around.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was ok overall, except the floor was terribly dirty. Definitely had to keep shoes on inside because my socks were disgusting from walking around.

The family that owns this place are extremely nice and generous people. They make sure that when you check-in you are accommodated completely, but do not bother you throughout your stay. It is affordable and very clean. I enjoy staying here just to get away from home sometimes and not be bothered. If you patronize them often enough, they start to work with your budget and do whatever they can to assist you with a nice day it may not look great from the outside, but the inside of the rooms are super nice. Trust me when I tell you a Lyft four minutes away and I book a room. Every chance I can get to get away from home lol. I would recommend this over a super eight or motel six any day. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

The property has deteriorated quite a bit since the picture was taken. Inside showed wear & tear, rooms were minimal but had what we needed for a one night stay. One patron choose to have an argument outside of their room at night.

For people that love vintage motels, it was great! We loved the diamond inlays in the room. Very clean and the lady that checked us in was very nice! Definitely would stay again

Good Staff

Burn mark on the toilet lid and one on the carpet. The ceiling tiles had insulation peeking out and were not fitted. The shower should have had a vinyl inner curtain. the carpet was shabby, the stairs were scary and there was not a coffee packet for the second day, it was too warm and the room was dimly lit. Now for the positive, the TV, comfy bed and the friendly people that worked there, they had smiles on their faces.

It was quite and close to restaurants and public transportation.

The hotel room I stayed in had a refrigerator, microwave, work desk, television. bed size was king. they don't serve breakfast.

The sheets were stained. I called the front desk for sheet and none were available. The next day the excuse was that they were going to bring me clean sheets that morning but I had the Do Not Disturb sign out. I never should have had to spend the first night in stained sheets. I couldn't even get any sleep because the people in the room next door are having loud sex. I checked out after night 1, and they refuse to refund anything.

It’s was a nice room but the wifi wasn’t fast and it was a bunch of rats inside the a/c when I came downstairs the lady told me it was a bird but that was at 3 am so I don’t think it was any bird and at first when I rented it the room the guy made a comment about that if something get stolen he will charge me on my card and that he knows when people smoke. When I say or ask questions he just stay quiet, that guy was super weird

I love this hotel!

Dirty room, maximum tools are broken. There was no service which provided by the Hotel. Stairs are broken. I had a baby when I been going upstairs I was scared. I never ever going back that hotel and also I never recommend to go that hotel.

Our stay was fine we did have an issue with the bedding being stained but they washed them and returned them and they were fine. They were friendly and helpful.

The staff was terrible. They cancelled the reservation on the day we had to check in giving a pathetic reason of credit card name not matching the reservation name. We were ready to provide card information but they won’t take because they already sold the room to someone else. The representative was rude.

Man at the front desk not sure if he’s the owner was extremely rude from the second we walked through the door. Started yelling and trying to kick us out for asking a question about our reservation. Also 99% sure he’s living in the back of check in office. Place was run down and disgusting

The hot water faucet in the sink wasn’t even warm.

The tv didn't work, half the time the key card didn't work, there was a couple right next to me who were fighting and yelling and swearing at each other ( u was afraid of a bullet maybe coming through the walls, i had to leave), one evening at about 9 pm i was returning to my room and a strange man harrassed me and acted like he was going to follow me into his room, (i turned and went to the office and told them and they did send him packing, but still shook me up), i had made a reservation for 5 days initially, then called and said i would stay another 2 days, they said it was fine. Well when i tried to get in after the 5th days they had no record of my extension and threw away my tea bags, my salad and pizza in the fridge. Not nice at all. will never return back there.

My two complaints are that when I enquired whether the hotel loans irons to guests, no one was available except a porter who didn't know!!! The room carpeting has to be shampooed/cleaned. I was walking barefoot and upon looking at the soles of my feet, they were black!!

I was scheduled to check in Scottish Inns 7/12 but due to flight cancellations and changes because of the storm in Louisiana, I could not make my connecting flight to Buffalo. I could only get there in coming days so I asked them to honor my pre-paid room reservation but they refused to honor any other date. So consequently I lost my money...sooo wrong

I was good. I needed another day at the last min. And they made the process quick and easy. I also needed a room on the frost floor at the last min. They handle it quickly
