Older - mid-century design, but up-to-date amenities (fridge, microwave, cable tv, a/c....). Friendly, polite, and professional staff. I've stayed here before and will stay here again when I'm in the Kingman area.

The room was very tidy all the times, the AC worked wonders. The staff was very friendly. And the amenities were in working order. Location wise, Downtown is walkable.

Small shower

Barely any water pressure in the shower and the faucet on the bathroom sink was loose. Aside from that the room was clean and the fridge and microwave were very convenient. 4 Stars overall.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? No breakfast in the morning at all, no coffee in the rooms. The room was clean, area quiet, right near downtown Kingman. This was a good stay, and given a chance, I would stay here again.

Ok for one night but as you can expect from the location by the busy road it was pretty loud. No problem by night-traffic stops.

An older property right on historic Route 66, so there’s definitely siren noise as well as the train. The AC provided enough white noise to mostly block the other noises. One disappointment was no chain for the door for added security.

The building is very dated and run down. The sink was starting to lose its connection to the wall, the light in the bathroom was falling out of the ceiling, and there was a cockroach in the bathtub.

If you're looking for a clean, no/frills experience, then look no further. It's under new management, but it's the same as it always was. Clean room, comfortable bed, decent WiFi. There's a refrigerator and a microwave in the room, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy parking and conveniently located so it's easy to get to anywhere in the Kingman area. Free coffee in the office, and there's a Walmart and Walgreens nearby. I've stayed here before and I'll be back. Happy to recommend it for anyone looking for a good night's sleep and good location. The water pressure in the shower wasn't good; it might've just been the room I was using.

Great staff and location, trains do pass by frequently in Kingman. Room was comfortable and located by everything we wanted to see. Hope to stay again in the future, next time I am in the area I will definitely pass through the Rose.

We stayed here four years ago and enjoyed it. There are new owners now and it’s still a great little place to stay the night in Kingman. Yes, it’s close to the railroad tracks but with the window AC running, we were really not bothered by noise. Bed is comfortable. Hot water supply is ample and water pressure is decent. The wi-fi worked well. The fridge and microwave are excellent bonuses. Overall, the rooms retain some of the wonderful old Route 66 charm with some nice updates. TV had good selection of channels and was easy to use. Ice machine available. Ample parking available in front of room door. Our room didn’t have a coffee pot. They did have them four years ago. And the light fixtures were updated and the electric and USB outlets on them were very handy, but the lighting itself was a bit harsh—maybe soften the bulbs a bit. Minor complaints for an otherwise very comfortable property.

Clean room and comfortable bed, no coffee or hair dryer in room but I bring my own as I stay here often when in Kingman, the husband and wife team are very nice and friendly, helpful. I stay here often and its fine, very clean which means more to me than anything else. I used to stay in a more expensive hotel here but after finding a used bar of soap in shower, I tried Rambling Rose and have stayed there ever since, at least once a month.

Room 210 door binds with the frame where opening and closing the door requires her push and pull. Road noise is natural since it sits on Route 66. Clean place to stay for a night at a price hard to beat.

We stayed the night and found the motel to be very nice. Coming from the UK it was a great place to stay if you want to check out Kingman. It's not far from the town and is even walkable distance to a great diner. I found the room to be very clean and the WiFi was very fast!

It was clean and the location on Route 66 was what I was looking for. The trains, motorcycles and the fridge that gurgled all night.

Everything freshly painted for the 100 year Rt 66. New locks, smaller size rooms but good mattress and may hear trains during night but didn’t bother us since they weren’t honking! Nice 66 place to stay!

We had to wait a bit for the desk clerk to come check us in. He was very friendly and apologetic about not being there to greet us. The room was comfortable with a fridge and microwave. There was no coffee set up or hairdryer.

It's a budget motel but a really great one. The staff was friendly. The room was basic but clean and exactly what I needed. Good internet. I wish every budget motel I've been to would be this nice.

Strong fragrance in the room was a big negative for me. Thankfully there are windows in the front and back that open wide to air the place out and powerful heating/cooling system to allow for that. The bedding itself had no odor so all was okay.

Rooms were clean, free of bugs. Bathroom & shower were clean. There is AC / HEAT, minifridge & microwaves in every room. Parking lot is spacious & safe view of vehicles parked on the property lot. Trains run nightly, so that's the only real noise nightly.

This was our second stay here. The room was comfortable and generally quiet. Trains do pass by fairly often, so that’s something to be aware of, but overall it was a good value for the price and worked well for what we needed.

The room wasn't completely clean, with a few miscellaneous pieces on the floor. The electrical wiring was definitely questionable, as was the security of the door. Bed was sagging but decent. Small fridge and microwave, air/heat on-demand that I didn’t use, but no coffeemaker. The front desk guy and cleaning folks were nice. Good enough for a cheap stay, not for a vacation stay. I don't know how in the world it has an excellent rating though.

Perfect: location, price, staff, proximity to restraints, shopping, sightseeing. Yes, this is an older motel without bees & whistles…BUT the room was clean, there were plenty of towels & washcloths, plenty of soap & shampoo. The bed was extremely comfortable, there were plenty of comfortable pillows, the bedding was clean, & the beds were neatly made. We did not use the heating or air, but were told at checkin how to operate the system. There was plenty of lighting in the room. WIFI information was provided at check-in & worked perfectly. The desk clerk was exceptionally friendly!! He offered coffee when I was checking out & when I told him we were heading to breakfast he recommended a great place that was nearby. The Ramblin Rose had EVERYTHING I needed to be well rested t& ready to continue on my road trip the following morning. If I’m in the area again I will definitely stay again.

The whole stay was great! Andrew the manager was very professional and kind. I observed him making rounds during breakfast to inquire about the patrons’ stay. He even helped an elderly couple with their plates.

Hotel was awesome and really clean. I rated this because my second morning I showered and noticed my towels were gone. Not fun. I am sure they forgot to bring me towels lol.

Room was somewhat clean. Wash cloth and towels are gross and need to be replaced. Walls on the bathroom need to be cleaned and they need to spend a little more time with overall cleaning of the rooms.

This an old motel in the older part of Kingman, right across the street from a very busy set of railroad tracks. If you're a light sleeper who needs quiet, this is not the place for you. Throughout the night, long trains clanged and rumbled by at a rate of about ten to twelve per hour. I generally sleep like a log, but this was a bit too much. Beyond that, the place was clean, the bed was comfy, the guy at the desk was polite and friendly. So if you have a good set of earplugs, ....

Fridge door wouldn’t close, bathroom was very cold, only 1 bath towel in room booked for two. It was clean, cheap and bedroom heater was warm!

The office staff was very friendly and informative. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Free parking was plentiful, and it was an easy walk to the old downtown area with great restaurants and shops. There were also some cool spots nearby to grab a beer or cocktails. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is an a quiet area, except for the constant passing of the trains nearby nightly. Hotel walls & floors are a little too thin, so you can hear noisy guests. Needs some upgrades, but a good stay for a night or two.

The only drawback to this location is the fact that it is fairly near to the railroad which runs through a small ravine south of Andy Devine Avenue, which means you can hear the motion passing freight trains at all hours. But since the railroad is prohibited from sounding their horns in town, it’s no big problem. I can hear the Union Pacific passing by my home, and I am over 3/4 of a mile from their nearest crossing where I live.

Over the past year the rooms have been revamped & are equipped with mini-fridges & microwaves. Rooms are clean & free of bugs. The bathrooms/showers are small but probably due to the room sizes, when built. The property management staff will greet you upon arrival & are very kind & professional. Its located in a nice little spot along a hill on Rt-66. Quiet, except for trains passing by once in awhile. Worth a nite stay.

It had been freshly painted with new locks on doors since our last visit. Also clean and neat exterior.It has a fridge & microwave, bed was firm. Its quiet & I feel its a great bargain. I was curious to see how a 1960s motel fared in today’s environment. Obviously the price was very good and the motel look like what I thought it would. My only concern was that I didn’t know about the railroad tracks across the street. Had I’ve known I would’ve brought better earplugs, but that being said it was good.

Sometimes you find one of these independent motels and you’re not sure what you’re going to get…and sometimes reviews can mislead. I found Ramblin’ Rose to be a clean safe place for a good night’s sleep. It’s budget friendly, offers plenty of parking, and is easy to find. The only problem is train traffic, although it seemed to stop by 11pm or so. I’d stay again if in the area.

Rambling Rose is an older, very basic, Rte 66 motel that was more than adequate for our overnight needs. Young man at front desk was personable and helpful in his knowledge of area restaurants. Would return if we were passing through again.

I stay ever an extra night thought that I booked it but, forgot I didn’t. Office called and left me a message to confirm saying that they see my things still in room. I called back later to confirmed that I wanted to extend another night. Thank goodness they didn’t remove my things or give away my room.

THis is a great motel. It was a Travel Lodge built in the 50s. The current management takes good care of it. It is on the far side of town so you don't have to worry about the omni-present homeless theft problem. I left my car unlocked with the windows rolled down all night.

I always stay here when going through Kingman. New owners are doing a good job and have updated the facility.

This hotel has lived up to it,s name and description but be aware that Hotels.com have not lived up to theirs with false descriptions of swimming pools and breakfasts that no longer exist when you turn up at the properties who have told me they have informed the site but nothing has been done even 2 years down the line.Best to phone ahead to see what ang for your buck you are really getting.

I was extremely pleased with my stay. The front desk was very helpful when neither my TV nor phone worked. They fixed everything immediately.

This was a last minute trip, halfway across the country i didn't budget for, so i was looking at previous reviews & price points. You really can't go wrong here if that's what you're looking at also. Staff was friendly. Rooms are clean, bathrooms have been updated to tile, including the shower, which is nice. The rest of the room is dated, but again, clean. Microwave and Fridge, Clean. Sheets, clean & super white. Bottle opener on the door jam outside the bathroom gave me a chuckle. I would stay here again. I would purchase a door security device though, that was my only qualm. It was a regular door knob with lock and a stock door bolt, but i could see the light from the parking lot from the gap, seems like it would be easy to get into, so i used the chair under the knob trick. Still recommend.

The manager was friendly. Convenient parking right in front of our room. The bed was clean & comfortable. Air conditioner was almost new & worked really well. Minor things like the toilet seat was loose, the bathroom window handle was broken. My complaint would be the stale mildewy smell, and since there was a strong thunderstorm upon us, I couldn't open things up. Overall wasn't bad.

Vintage motel on the iconic Route 66 that used to be Travel Lodge back in the 50's. Just needed a bed and a shower and this offered both. The A/C worked great which in Kingman, AZ in August is a must. I thought it was funny that pool was filled in with dirt.....

This is an older motel. The property has been updated. Good carpet, bed and room repainted. Older style motel with small bathroom. Interior lighting was exceptionally bright. A softer light bulb would make it more comfortable.

Misleading. This is an old motel. The train tracks are across the street and yes you can hear a train every time it goes by, in case you were wondering there are smoke detectors. Why do we know this because the battery started dying at 3 in the morning. Nothing like trying to sleep through that. Is it horrible, no but you definitely get what you pay for.

The room is fine but extremely hot with ac completely off when you arrive. It’s taking awhile to cool down.

⸻ Cleanliness was fine, nothing to complain about on that side. However, some furniture was broken. Room for 4 people: I booked the “large bed” option, but you really need to be slim to sleep comfortably for two. In the US, if it’s not a Queen or King size, it quickly becomes uncomfortable. We survived, but it was a short night. I always sleep with earplugs, so I can’t comment on the noise level. Positive points: parking available, fridge in the room

Good customer service

Just an average motel, would have been fine, the staff/customer service was less than great. They said they just switched to new management so hopefully they figure it out. I was rudely approached in the morning when I was trying to load my car when the girl doing the room cleanings demanded my room key so she could clean (3 hours before check out). I told her I wasn’t ready to leave yet and was still loading; and I would get it to her when I was done. She then proceeded to stand in front of my car glaring at me until I left.

Room was older but mostly well maintained. Screen on washroom window was broken. AC unit was intermittent and had to be physically reset. No fan in washroom. Basic cable. Close to a busy railroad.

This was a great little stop along our Route 66 road trip. We literally made the reservation and then checked in about 20 minutes later. Check in/Out was super easy, the hosts were very friendly. This was a cozy, quaint, vintage motel and served our needs perfectly. The room was clean, quiet and comfy. Honestly, these little roadside motels are so much better than the larger chain ones. This place was a gem!

Stay was ok. Clean room and comfortable bed but small room and bathroom didn’t have much counter space for my makeup and toiletry bag. Shower was missing (or was broken off) a shelf for shampoo and soap so it was on the floor of the shower, making us bend or stoop down to retrieve what we need. Also, the hotel was between two main roads so it was fairly noisy even inside the room and bathroom.

Ramblin Rose rooms are very clean and roomy. We always enjoy staying here in Kingman - the price is reasonable and very conveniently located since its right along the highway to our next stop in Las Vegas.

Lovely welcome from Neha, and the room was very comfortable. Sadly the train line opposite is quite noisy, but we sleep with ear plugs so it didnt bother us too much.

This was an overnight stop on a Route 66 road trip and the hotel served its purpose for our needs. It was convenient, comfortable and good value.

I liked the old fashioned vibe, the owners wre very nice. The place was a little run-down, but felt safe. It was clean, but very bare bones. Fine for an over night stay.

There is a train track across the road. I had the air conditioner going and put some background white noise on my phone so it didn’t bother me. I didn’t ever hear any train whistles or anything like that.

have stayed at the rose for a few nights and 1 more is in the works. here in kingman on business. the people that own/run this establishment are very nice, kind, and are good people.

When we arrived, one of the staff checked to make sure our room was clean. It wasn't, according to them, so they switched us to another room. The room was dated, as the whole facility is, but we were comfortable. The place was quiet and the staff were friendly. There are train tracks across the road from this hotel, but they did not bother us as we know Kingman is a railroad town. We would definitely stay here again.

Good location close to Downtown. Room was clean with many improvements. Freshly painted outside. Bathroom has new tile shower that was very nice.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable—easily one of the worst I’ve ever slept on. I woke up multiple times during the night with a sore neck, and the pillows didn’t do me any favors either. The walls are paper thin. The neighbors conversations and TV were like we were in the same room. Also, there’s a lot of street noise and freight trains run right by the motel all night. Security is an issue as well. There’s no safety latch on the inside on the door. While there is a deadbolt, it can be accessed with a key which I’m certain the hotel manager has. So the thought of someone walking into my room while I slept was always in the back of my mind. The AC couldn’t hold a consistent temperature and needed constant adjusting, which turned into a bit of a nightly project. If your only priority is a clean room, this place might do the trick. But if you’re hoping for a good night’s sleep or even a bit of peace and quiet, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. I won’t be back.

You can tell they are putting money into the property was very impressed by the room.. I had just broken my ankle and couldn't make it up the second floor like my online reservation had booked me but they went out of their way to get me a first floor room so anytime Iam I'm kindman I will diffently stay these nice people

Good inexpensive place to stay.

how did this motel get 8.2? heater was not able to temperature controled room upstairs noisy keep me awake.. when ever they move, it squeak so loud. the pillows were very old. they were bumpy. the shower boots is so small and dark. it is truly bad choice I made because it show rating 8.2 now I will not make a choice by rating. I wonder if this rating was not made up.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Lots of cold air coming in when the front door was closed. Bathroom window did not close all the way also. No counter space in bathroom. Train noise and road noise constant.

Easy check in, friendly. Room was clean and had coffee. Older style but nice.

Our high rating in this case means "Great for the price!" It's a classic old former TraveLodge complete with retro green-plastic-diamond key tags. Spotlessly clean, comfortable; nice old real-wood motel furniture; bigger-than-average minifridge and perfectly adequate microwave. So what if the bedspread is sort of ugly and the towels are small and there's shampoo but no conditioner, right? Our only real complaint was that the only coffee for the in-room coffee maker was decaf! - but that led us to find "Mudd on 66" - a great espresso place a short drive away.

I have stayed in many older budget hotels and this is one of the best. Room in good condition and very clean.

Very friendly staff - good room for the money.

This hotel offers very nice accommodations at a very reasonable price. There are not a lot of frills but the room is clean snd the bed is comfortable.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy my stay at this hotel. The positive reviews we read on this property did not match our experience here. Bath mat was filthy, stains on the bedsheets, the room was cold, overall experience was very disappointing.

Very clean and organized.

The staff and managers were very friendly and helpful. Great location for shopping, eating or getting in and out of east or west Kingman. I will stay there again.
