Such a cute spot. Amazing location.

We've stayed at this property many times and we have always enjoyed the proximity to Heisler Park, the beach, and the restaurants we want to go to.

Such a cute place! Rooms were good size, bathroom was nice, and overall everything in good condition. Location is superb, and easy walk to the beach with wonderful walking paths and cafes around. Definitely a gem of a property. There is a reason the reviews are excellent here!

Parking is a little too expensive ($50), and also resorts fee too which we did not use the pool nor use any of pool towels.

we stayed here the first week of june, it was perfect! no gloom. the room was perfect, we loved our balcony! We took advantage of the free beach supplies. Loved our stay and will return.

The Hotel is very close to the ocean and room 208 has a great view. There is a beautiful park between the hotel and the ocean. Wine available from 5-6pm in the lobby

The coffee machine in our room wasn’t working and the Netflix on the tv wasn’t working either. It was only one night so we didn’t bother to have them fix it. Just dont think it was worth the price. Prop not going back.

Our stay was incredible! The wine and cookies did not disappoint! The spa and pool were both awesome and the view off our back porch overlooked the city and ocean. The walk along the boardwalk was incredible in both directions. The ocean views are so memorable!

Very cute place to stay, away from the noise of the main strip but a very short walk to the trolley stop to get into the main part of town. Complimentary wine was served between five and six pm, fresh cookies were out at night and coffee in the morning, all in the lobby area. There is a coffee shop on the corner and the Royal Hawaiian Restaurant is also very close by. A beautiful park is about a half a block behind the hotel and it’s worth taking a walk down there at sunset, at night and during the day! Parking has a fee but it is so convenient to have the parking there!! Parking spaces are difficult to find in the area! We would stay again!

I have grew up in and lived in Laguna most of my life, and the Laguna Beach House epitomizes everything I love about my hometown… it’s understated but chic, thoughtfully curated, friendly, and laid back. Now that I’ve moved overseas, it’s my home away from home whenever I’m in town to visit my parents. Nothing!

Great staff and location

This hotel was just what we were looking for. The location was ideal! It was walking distance to Laguna Beach where my kids enjoyed boogie boarding. We were able to check out beach chairs and umbrellas which was awesome at the front desk. My kids (13 and 14) could walk to get food in either direction. We were next to a beautiful park that had the best walking paths to enjoy the ocean and smaller beaches that we took full advantage of each morning for sunrise and sunset. The spa and pool was perfect to unwind at after being at the beach. You can see a sliver of the ocean if you sit in the right chaise lounge. We enjoyed the wine and cookies provided in the evenings and the fire pit once the sun went down. Our room was clean. The front desk was friendly and the decor in the lobby was so California. We loved being at a small property near the downtown area so everyone could do as they please. We would stay here again for the value and location due to the simple fact we want to enjoy the art galleries and ocean and not be with large amounts of people staying at the same place.

It’s a motel and tourist trap. I stayed in room 115 for one night and the echos in the courtyard coming from people milling around and having a good time until 3 am was awful. Normal hotels would allow you to check out and not charge you for the future nights- not here. Full price for all nights when you don’t stay. And this was during the weekdays. They had about a dozen open rooms. Screwed over by this place Never say here.

Lovely stay at LBH. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the pool/hot tub were just right. The private balcony with partial ocean view is small, and the majority of the view is of the buildings between the hotel and the shore, so we didn’t spend much time there. Nonetheless no regrets staying here, would come back. And a special shoutout to the new Mexican restaurant across the street, Chelas. Superb.

We loved the cozy atmosphere of this hotel. Warm cookies were served at night and the staff was so friendly. It felt like coming home when we walked through the front doors. Everything was clean and even though it is an older hotel, it had a lovely unique charm. The ocean was visible from one point when we stood on the pool deck but it was so easy to walk to a path above the ocean in 5 minutes. The cliff views were spectacular. Parking was a breeze at the hotel. We would love to stay here again.

The property was beautiful and very close to the beach. Very walkable. My only issue was the staff doesn’t know any restaurants or activities in the area, which should be standard for guests not from the area and needing recommendations for local spots. I just had to find places to eat on my own.

Wonderful place to stay in Laguna very reasonable given prices of other hotels in the area in proximity to beach. Some minor comments only — parking is a bit expensive, blackout shades/blinds would be helpful, also no early morning music, please(!). But will definitely come back again – thank you!

Clean and remodeled rooms with sea view

Honestly I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect! For this birthday weekend we chose Laguna Beach House knowing that it would be a smaller boutique style hotel rather than going with a big resort and we were so happy that we did! It's so charming! The location can't be beat and the hotel staff is incredibly sweet and helpful. The classic California Surf stye is so clean and inviting. And although the hotel isn't ON the beach - it's super close and we had a lovely partial ocean view from our (surprisingly large) king coastal room. The pool was super clean and the hot tub worked great! The wine hour and fresh baked evening cookies were a great touch. Only great things to say about our new favorite getaway spot!

Everything was good

Ramp for luggage to elevator, amenity tax when there is no amenity but a pool and hot tub, rooms are motel small and not worth price, clean and air units are swamp coolers. Wine hour is wine in cans, cookies are only at 6pm and okay. Could hear your neighbors in next door rooms, pictures of rooms on site don’t really look like it. Plus is walkable to other places to drink and eat and short walk to beach. Lots of crowds and parking and traffic is bad.

I wasn't aware of the $55 per day parking or the $35 per day "amenity fee" so I wasn't happy to leave with another $759 bill. I didn't use the pool or the hot tub or any "amenities" so I don't feel like I received any value for that. For this reason I won't stay again.

My only concerns were the use of unsecured websites for posting reviews, some confusing pre‑check‑in email communication, and a flat amenities fee that was charged without considering weather conditions that made certain amenities unusable. Addressing these issues would make the overall experience even better.

Our arrival time worked out that it was "happy hour" and we got a glass of wine at check-in! Then later it was "baked warm cookies" before we left for dinner. A beautiful hotel and would book again upon another visit to Laguna Beach.

Terrific spot and wonderful service! Easy to walk to all. Loved getting a cup of coffee, or two, or three and watching the sunrise in the morning on the beach chair that was provided. Also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Great place. Lovely people working there. Love the location!

This is our 2nd stay and we hope to be back. Perfect location out of the busiest part of the strip but walkable to everything. One block from the ocean and beaches. Hotel provides chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Rooms are immaculate and the staff are so friendly!

The room was fine, not great; the staff were fine, not great. The pool was fine, not great. Overall the stay and experience were fine, not great. Everything is an extra fee, early checkin, late check in, and parking all extra fees. I would not stay here again, did not think it was a great value. I much prefer other hotels farther south on coast highway.

We stayed as a family (my partner and our two kids), and the room was perfect for us. It was clean, fresh-smelling, and had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. One of our favorite parts was the location. Everything was so walkable — we easily walked to Heisler Park and a nearby coffee shop and didn’t need to use our car at all. That made the stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and well-located spot in Laguna Beach.

This cute little hotel has quickly become one of our family’s favorites. We were only there for a night, but it was absolutely perfect. Large, clean rooms, easy beach access, and walkable to everything in Laguna. We will definitely be back!

Laguna Beach House: The Pros: LBH is centrally located near the beautiful beach walkway and Laguna Beach and shops. The hotel is in a U shape around the small pool and jacuzzi. The staff are nice and offer wine at 5, cookies at 6, and start a gas fire at 5. The cons: 55 dollar parking fee, 35 dollar fee for pool etc; noise level is pretty high and it's pricey (think at least 400 or more with tax).

The reason I'm removing one star is because the walls are very thin - we could hear people upstairs walking as well as people talking in the hallway. The price point was also a bit expensive for a simple boutique hotel.

Hotel didn’t provide extra toothbrushes. Parking was fifty dollars, rip off. Room was comfortable but hotel was very poor value for the price .

The lady who works the morning shift is the only reason I would ever stay here again. So kind and helpful. The mid day shift and night shift never seemed to be able to answer any of my basic questions. The rooms were ok. Comfy bed, but the mini bar prices were insane. 8$ for a .50 bag of trail mix ? And don’t get me started about the resort fee….for basic coffee like a Holiday Inn would offer. The cookies were never even good cookies. There was nothing “resort” about it. The saving grace was the gorgeous views just a short walk away which I guess is what you pay for.

First time ever, I found no water in the room for guests other than very expensive water in fridge bar. Also, no ocean view from 'balcony'. Everything else was excellent, however.

There was a few of us that wanted the fire pit started and after waiting 40 mins I went down and ask if she could start it. She seem upset that I would even ask. The room and facilities were pretty clean. I would recommend this to you if your looking to relax on a budget.

Excellent experience all around, I booked this stay originally for one night but enjoyed it so much just within a couple hours I inquired with the front desk about adding another night, they were very accommodating and even though our original room wasn’t available for another night we were able to upgrade to another. The rooms were so clean and spacious, the location is beautiful and has so many wonderful dining options as well as access to some scenic walks on the beach!! I really look forward to staying here again!

They need to revisit the room rates. Not only do you pay the room fee, they will get you with a $55-75 dollar parking fee, and a $35 dollar “Amenity” fee. I would’ve stayed at another hotel if these prices were baked in to the original room cost.

We love this property. We’ve stayed there 4-5 times and it’s become our “go to” place in Laguna Beach. The staff is wonderful. Every room we’ve stayed in is unique and different. The location is great - an easy walk to downtown restaurants, the theater, or the Pageant of the Masters. Also an easy walk to Main Beach or many of the more private cove beaches. Heisler Park and the beautiful coastal walking trail are literally around the corner! You will fall in love with this place, as we have….promise!

We had a partial ocean view. The room was clean. We weren’t able to take advantage of the resort attributes based on our schedule. Parking was covered. Resort fee is $35/day and parking $55/day so figure that into the daily rate. Hotel located a 15 minute walk from restaurants and shopping.

As for the room, the floors are not level. The bathtub is not level & there should be grab bars in the tub area. One ply bathroom tissue??!! Horrible! Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Pool area is clean and lovely. Staff was lovely & helpful.

I had a room by the pool. I have come to this hotel many times and will continue to do so as it is close to my parents’ house. That being said, I always have a hard time with tiny bugs swarming all over the bathroom floor and/or the bathroom counter after it has been dark there for a long period of time. Also, there are not nearly enough trash cans in the room. Just one small one out in the large space and the same in the bathroom. Fine for an overnight stay but not for four days!…esp in the bedroom trash can as my family had lunch brought in on a few days! We had to smash the trash down! But again, I WILL be back. 🙃

I must start with how amazing the staff is! Super helpful and knowledgeable! The room was as described and felt very spacious with a separate sitting area. The view of the ocean was lovely! The mattress was on the softer side, but not uncomfortable. The room was clean and air conditioned (it was a hot day so very grateful for this). The underground garage had plenty of parking and had steps leading up to the guest rooms which made luggage transport a breeze. The pool is salt water, not chlorine. The hotel sits between 2 busy roads, but it was quiet overnight and in the morning. It is a half mile walk downhill to the main beach and town, though there are places to eat nearby. The trolley runs in the summer and is free. The complimentary wine and cookie were delicious. This hotel is very accommodating! I arrived 3 hours early and they checked in since my room was ready. They also allowed me to remain parked in the garage after checkout for a few hours so I could stay in town longer. If you need a beach chair or other items, they have items to borrow. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

The staff was very helpful and friendly with check in and check out a breeze. The property is older, but it’s very pretty and clean. Our only problem was the bathroom door stuck when opening and closing it. We did have a great stay and plan to stay here again.

Over all we had a great time. Its only 5 min from the beach, 10 from shopping and 15 min to Pageant of the Masters. Our room had it's own private patio which was awesome, private access from the street as well. The bed was very comfortable.Service was good.We were one minute walk to the pool in jacuzzi. From the pool area, you did have a view of the ocean as well. I think the only downside was the price. In our opinion, it was a little bit overpriced with the resort fee, and with parking for a two night stay, we spent well over 1k just for accommodations. That's how I feel.That's my only complaint.

This is a darling hotel within short distance to every thing you could possibly love about Laguna Beach. The decor is appealing, rooms are impeccably maintained and cleaned. The staff is so friendly and they add amazing little touches like coffee in the morning along with wine and freshly baked cookies in the evening. The pool is nicely appointed with a fire pit, numerous chairs, umbrellas and complimentary towels. This was our first stay and we hope to be back soon.

Very clean property with a friendly staff. We asked for an ocean view room but sadly did not have any view at all. Very few rooms seem to have an ocean view as the property sits further back. Pool and jacuzzi were nice as were the free wine and cookies. Bathrooms are dated, toilets sit super low but overall would stay here again as it was very convenient. Prices are steep, but think that’s all of Laguna Beach.

I loved the location near Heisler Park and Divers Cove. The beach is clean, sandy and the water clear. The hotel has a lovely view and nice outdoor spaces to enjoy. It was easy to park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Laguna Beach House and will definitely stay again! Marietta and the other front desk staff were incredibly kind, responsive and helpful with any needs we had. It is an old motel that has been refurbished as a very quaint surf town boutique hotel. Every detail was thought out.

We stay here almost every year and we’ve never been disappointed, we will most likely be back next year! Their wine hour is always delicious as well as their cookies right after, the atmosphere is welcoming and feels like a home away from home. Super comfortable and staff is always nice and helpful! The rooms are always my favorite!!

The staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable and just as shown in the photos. The bed was super comfy too. We had a small balcony with really no view, but it was great. Pool area was welcoming and comfortable too. We had a great stay and will return!

The wine and feshly baked cookies every evening were worth waiting for! We were able to chat to other guests and met a lovely Chinese family while we were there. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and we had a lovely view out to the ocean. The pool area was clean and quiet. The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything Laguna Beach has to offer including lovely beach walks. We can recommend eating at Nicks and the ice-creams at Gelato Paradiso are worth trying ....yum! We used the free trolley from the stop across the road for a trip to Dana Point. When we visit Laguna Beach again there is no doubt we will re-book Laguna Beach House.

Very nice property! The staff was excellent. The pool is much smaller than it looks in pictures and our balcony room didn’t have much of a view. But still, a very pleasant and clean property. We enjoyed our stay.

This is not a four star hotel. It is a three star motel that is clean. It was very disappointing to us.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Laguna Beach House. The hotel room was extremely comfortable and impeccably clean, making us feel right at home. Every staff member we encountered was professional, polite, and welcoming. We especially appreciated the complimentary cookies at check-in and the location couldn’t be better - just a short walk (5 to 7 mins) to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The convenience of overnight parking in their underground garage was also a huge plus. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Laguna Beach!

LBH is in a good location, spotlessly clean, and has extremely comfortable beds. My only complaint is the “hidden” charges that are not specified on Expedia at the time of booking - $45/day to park your car and a $30 + taxes charge per day for amenities. Not sure what amenities they are referring to - maybe the pool? Beware that you will have an additional $80/day in fees.

Although the new Laguna Beach House is a nice hotel, prepare yourself for lots of extra expenses. Parking for one night additional $45; amenity fee (which was not mentioned) $35.00 plus tax$4.90 and then if drink a bottle of water you will pay for it. It felt a bit over the top on the extra charges.

We were upgraded to the beach front property at Casa Loma. It was like staying at a beach club!

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a fantastic location and great price. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

The hotel was charming and the staff was friendly. We loved the wine happy hour and cookies! We were also able to borrow beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels every day for our short walk to the beach!

This place never disappoints. Amenities are worth and is the best staycation hotel.

Really great property! Very clean and well appointed. I could see ocean from my patio and from the main front window. It’s sits back from the beach you can’t hear it but it’s easily walkable. Literally around the corner. A lovely grocery store right down the way &great restaurants are walkable. I’m not a walker so I Uber’d to the main beach did shopping. Def want to go back. Highly recommend. I felt so taken care of here which is nice as a solo female guest. I felt very safe & welcome.

Laguna Beach House is a charming place to stay with pretty and clean rooms. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. There were extra perks including free wine(a nice variety) at happy hour, fresh baked cookies at night and coffee in the morning. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Love this place and everything about it. Location, clean rooms, pool, hot tub, amazing staff, especially Marietta.

This hotel is on the expensive side compared to what you get. I reserved a room that says coastal view but what you’ll see are roofs because the hotel is not by the beach. I need to pay another 169$ for the parking and amenities fee for 2 nights on top of the paid room reservation, but the only amenities on the property is a small pool and 1 jacuzzi-which are present in all standard hotels.

Quaint surf town hotel right on the beach. Easy walking and great places nearby. Coffee shop on the corner is amazing. Beach access super easy and the rooms are simple and clean. Lovely beach surf vibe and feels relaxing. Love the warmth of the place, not a ton of fuss and easy living. Traveled with family, two young kiddos. We will definitely we back!

We enjoyed our stay at Laguna Beach House! The location was perfect and we were able to easily walk to the nearby restaurants, stores, and beaches. The staff was friendly and our room was kept very clean. We already miss being there and can't wait to go back!!
