The next time we go to Irvine will definitely be there again.

My family has been coming to this place for over 3 for 3 years. It's right by where my daughter lives.Our grandchildren stay with us.They love the place, the pool, the free breakfast.It was very convenient for all of us. This place has noticeably gone downhill since the 3 years we have been staying here.. My husband tried to order foff the the menu. FIVE times the wait staff came back to say they didn't have a particular item. This place used to sell a lovely selection of snacks and wine. They no longer do. The staff was friendly enough but seemed to be overburdened. Rvery time I called down, nobody would answer. Oh the last time we stayed, the right hand elevator was out of order.Two years later, the same elevator is out of order. This establishment has gone noticeably downhill, and it's very sad, because this was a nice central place that my family could relax and visit.We will be going elsewhere the next time we're in southern california.

I loved our short stay very much and will look for a Homewood Suite again!

The sheets and pillows were dirty and smelled bad. The breakfast was cold or lukewarm. Better food warming equipment is needed to keep the breakfast hot.

everything was great other than the front desk staff.

1) They only had one elevator for the entire building so people crammed up everytime. 2) They had a tiny pool and it was filled with children all day until night so my family couldn’t enjoy some time together at the pool. 3) 80% of the hotel lights didn’t work. I’m not sure if they unplugged them to save money or why they were all not working but it was annoying trying to find a wall plug that worked for our phones to charge or lights that would work. 4) The bed felt like I was laying on a table. Paid for a kingsize bed and I couldn’t even sleep at night from how painful it was. 5) The breakfast room was chaotic. Children running around hogging the ONLY waffle machine they had. I stood in line for about 15 minutes just to make myself a waffle and my breakfast turned cold! 6) ***THIS ONE IS A BIG ONE**** The front staff was rude. I brought with me an emotional support letter written by my psychiatrist so my small under 10 lb dog can sleep with me and she called my letter a “third party” letter. Very disrespectful and felt offended that she dismissed my mental health problems thinking I just went off and printed “one of those letters” she called it. I made her read the letter and she finally said “fine I believe you” as if I were lying about my very serious mental health issues to begin with? I was offended! I’ve never been questioned or doubted ever and that was a first and very mean!

BUT IT IS NOT AT THE SPECTRUM, it is off Lake Forest, at Rockfield. Once checked in, Hint, park in the underground parking on the left side of the building to avoid the long walk from the lobby to the elevators.

Good hotel, but I will say that depending on who was at the front desk, the service or urgency of requests did lack. Not something that I blame them for, mainly because it was the weekend and was busy. The gentleman who works nights was awesome though - had a great convo with him around real estate and he was always engaged with visitors. Room was pretty small, but definitely in great shape and a modern look. For the price though, I may look somewhere else but fortunately I was able to take advantage of some lower prices first few nights.

its one ofmy favorite places to stay. the room 2as clean and lots of space . the hot tub needed to be cleaned though. the tub had brown residue intbw bubbles. the security had told us when it was almost time to get out. they informed us they had to put chemicals in the pool... they should not have said that because it very unprofessional

It was just an overnight stay but it was perfect for the night, with great breakfast in the morning

Excellent price for value, we stayed in the studio suite with 1 king bed. I really like how there is a full kitchen so I’m able to wash my babies bottles. The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly, a lot of parking and free breakfast.

Clean and spacious rooms. Good hotel if you are not expecting a lot of amenities and things around. There are places to eat around but everything else is a drive from the hotel.

Property was welcoming to our dog. All of the common areas as well as the room were pristine. Great location! Only slightly negative remark is that I had reserved the suite with the (2) queen beds, but received a room with only 1 King Bed and a pull out coach bed. When I spoke with the front desk they said they didn't have it available for the 1st night, but did have it for the 2nd night. I refused because I didn't want to have to unpack to pack and unpack again.

Everything was modern, clean and well maintained. 5 min walk from a medium-sized plaza with good food.

When check-in I was given a room with 1 king bed while the reservation was for a 2 queen beds. The hotel changed my room type without letting me know because over-sold. I was moved to the correct room type the next night but there was no excuse for given my room away when I made my reservation 3 months in advance. Kevin at the front desk did a great job helping but he tried to blame the mix-up on Expedia but I'm not buying it.

Room wasn’t ready when I checked in. Front desk needed help and manager stood by with no assistance as front desk struggled.

We had to change our rooms twice due to AC not working. And we were very disappointed that the hotel was charging $20 daily for parking.

As a relatively new hotel, this Homewood has really bad soundproofing. You can literally hear everything from your neighbors and hallway. The worst came from the room above. The guests above ours kept stomping, running, and jumping all night (apparently they're having a party) but the hotel did nothing to stop them. On top of that, the fire alar rang 4 times at night, while my kids were taking the shower. Everybody had to rush out, in a winter rainy day!

Kevin M. was the nicest - helped with getting our laundry done, directing us to the best parking spot and addressing the day that one of the elevators broke down. He inspires brand loyalty.

Front desk was very friendly

Bed was very hard/firm. The lights in the room are connected to the restroom so if someone needs the restroom at night, the light either lights up the whole room or the person has to use the restroom in the dark. Also front desk person forgot to return my ID and didn’t apologize when I went back to get it. Was charged an extra $75 to check in early on Christmas day even though the room was ready and available.

Updated clean room. Great set up full kitchen. Wonderful bed and temperature control. Great staff. Really great staying here. Only noise was one morning as people were leaving. You could hear roller bags etc upstairs. But no outside noise or anything. Easy uber access to destinations.

We have stayed here before and like the location. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was great. There were no luggage carts available to take our things up to the fifth floor. We had to make at least four trips. We were here two nights with our 2 kids. AC didn't seem to kick in fast enough. It took over an hour to go down 1 degree.

I want to say that I rarely do survey. But I am very happy to do this one. First the hotel was beautifully decorated for Halloween. From the moment I arrived, Matthew (supervisor) was incredibly courteous and welcoming. He made my check-in process so smooth and easy, even if I was early. I have to say that everyone I interacted with, were top-notch. Brand new hotel and if not, it felt like. My room was spotless. The breakfast was great. The staff and chef came out of the kitchen to welcome me. Overall excellent experience from my check-in to check-out.

We’re loyal Hilton Silver Members and often stay at Homewood Suites when traveling with our grandchildren, but this location was very disappointing. The front desk staff were on their phones and talking to each other, ignoring guests. We had called several times about early check-in and never received a call back. When we arrived around 3 PM, we were told only, “Check-in is at four,” with no effort to help or show hospitality. The breakfast was overcrowded, poorly maintained, and unsanitary. Food options were minimal, especially for those with dietary restrictions. The coffee and hot water were cold, the cold lemon water was empty, and thetrash bins were overflowing right by the front desk. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and one manager did try to help, but overall service and staff attitude were unacceptable for a Hilton property. This location needs serious retraining and better management.

The room have a refrigerator but the ice maker was not working there were tiny bugs around the working area and the carpet was wet and they charged 7 dlollars per day for parking and we were not informed

After reading about elevator issues at this property, I booked a room on the second floor across from a fire exit which leads right to my vehicle downstairs. Room key works in opening the fire exit door so I was able to go in and out from the stairs right across my room straight down to my car - couldn’t be more convenient. Staff were great checking in and out, and I ordered an Amazon package which the front desk held for me. One of the smoothest and best stays I had anywhere!

We were there for a birthday celebration for my granddaughter. It was 3 minutes from the Spectrum and 15 minutes from the water park so it was PERFECT

They went out of their way to answer questions and provide assistance, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and I truly appreciated the attentive service. Comfortable stay.

Only one working elevator in the whole building. There was Hundreds of people using one elevator! The elevator inspection certificate was expired! I’m not one to complain, but I’ve never been in a hotel that only had one working elevator!

The young lady who checked me in was much more pleasant and friendly than the last time. Breakfast options is good, too. There were many items to choose from and coffee was much improved.

The servers at the breakfast bar were outstanding. We spent 5 days here, and each day the servers made our breakfast enjoyable.

I liked that the room was clean and very spacious, in addition to having a small kitchen. What I didn't like was that you have to pay $20 per night for parking!!

The hotel itself is clean and upgraded. But we did have an issue with the next door neighbors dogs barking all morning and night for hours, I sent a message to the hotel staff and did not get a response.

Check-in staff at the front desk did an amazing job. They were really friendly, informative and helpful. The front desk staff in the morning on 8/2 were horrendous. Probably the worst experience I have ever had. They were difficult to reach, not knowledgeable and disrespectful. I asked to speak to the manager and they said the manager was not available but I could see the someone else scrolling through instagram. I’m not sure if that was the manager or not, but that entire staff that morning should be replaced.

The room AC is too cold. Even turn the temperature up, still very cold. Hope to have another blanket.

Front desk personnel were very helpful and accommodating. The room is very clean, bed is super comfy, and all the appliances are working perfectly. It made me feel like I’m in my own home. Also, there’s a strip mall across the street with lots of dining options.

One of the elevators didn't work for four days. It was very inconvenient since there is one elevator for the two hotels. The lighting in the bathroom is not well designed. There should be a separate light just in the water closet. Staff was lethargic. They meant well but just seemed slow to get anything done. I wouldn't stay here again.

They do charge $20/day for parking and there was only one working elevator during our stay which made wait times fairly long. Overall we would definitely stay again!

Easy parking.

Only one elevator is as working all 4th of July weekend and the hotel was full. The front desk staff was argumentative when I checked in and I don’t recall being charged $20 per day to park the last time I stayed there a couple years ago. But it was very clean and close to the highway.

Very spacious and clean room. Perfect place to stay for couples or family. Kitchen is nice and fully furnished. I will definitely recommend this Hotel to anybody that want to relax for few days or so.

For the most part this property was above average; however, the pool and hot tub were not well maintained and both my wife and I have come down with a virus we have to believe came from sitting in a less than clean hot tub (we didn't notice the dirty looking foam until we got in). The pool area was also not clean, and other trash cans around the property were overflowing; making for a less than desirable look

Hotel was super clean (even the tv screen in my room was perfectly clean - that was nice touch). Hotel had a modern layout. Front desk was friendly. Everything in our room was new, clean and comfortable. I even liked the carpet. Kitchen was nice and it had fullsize fridge. There was a big iron in the closet. Central air conditioning was quiet in our room with easy to use LG controller on the wall. Our room had LG tv (I think it was 4k tv) I wish I brought my xbox with me regardless. My only comment would be to update TV software so you can use your Netflix etc. accounts while staying at the hotel in addition to cable channels available. Complimentary breakfast was nice with fruits. I have not eaten such delicious apples in a long time. I'm hoping to visit Laguna beach once I get better. I will definitely be staying here again.

When checking in l was given a room with a roof top view,literally l was looking at multiple air conditioning units. When I called the front desk to ask for a better view they graciously assigned me another room. Thank You Homewood staff😊

It was all great until the end when I got my receipt back & realized they charged me $20 a day for parking that they never mentioned at checkin or when making the reservation.

Great amenities and everything you need is in the room. Full size fridge, stove, microwave etc… even sink has erator. Breakfast was amazing and kitchen staffs were very nice.

My only complaint is the staff. It seems everyone has an attitude problem.

I'd stayed at the Hampton Inn which is part of the same property, but this wast my first time at Homewood Suites. Unfortunately, the pillows were ridiculously flat, so by wife and I both did not sleep well. There was a refrigerator in the room, but every time it kicked on, it sounded like an industrial air conditioner. The noise was so loud it was impossible to concentrate on anything else. When I mentioned all this to the front desk, they only thing they could do was to remove the parking fee (don't even get me started on the fact that charging a parking fee that was NOT mentioned anywhere on hotels.com is such a racket). Overall, not a good stay.

Breakfast was ok, the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes slightly undercooked for my taste, variety of cereal, no waffles or pancakes. Did not use the pool, but seen the pool being cleaned early in the morning. To me, that is a good sign. Property was well maintained. I would stay here again.

This is a very new property. Extremely clean and all the furniture is brand new. The breakfast is very good. The area is safe and quiet. Good for kids too. Includes all the necessary kitchen amenities per room.

What disappointed me was food service. The quality was commensurate with this level of hotel, but not everything available was offered throughout. I enjoyed bacon and omelet, but sausage patties were not offered until around 8 am. But mostly two things. They provide the cheapest possible plastic utensils: I had to use a spoon to butter my toast, the knives and forks literally bent when I tried to use them. Finally, a 9am on the dot, they broke down breakfast, not allowing my family that arrive at 850am, to finish brakfast. This was a big disappointment.

We had a king suite and we liked the layout. Easy walk into the shower. Had pullout couch to watch tv instead of watching in the bed. The only thing we didn't like was an extra charge to park of $15 per day. There was no need for this except for them to make money.

We had to ask the front desk 3 times to tell the people above us to be quiet. After 4 hrs of them stomping around and jumping off furniture we went down to the lobby to ask to be moved. It was the worst first night!!
