    This property needs new management and major renovations. Everything is old and not that clean. The ceiling was leaking water, the bathroom was dirty and disgusting, the bathroom door handles were broken, and the carpets were sticky. We could barely sleep because of the poor condition of the room.

    The staff was super helpful and friendly. One of the friendlier staffs at that level of non mom and pop I've seen in awhile. My room was super clean the hallway could have used some work near the elevator but the room was amazing for the price. The kitchen setup was great. Location isn't bad there's a target publix and academy sport like 2 min away without having to get on a main road plus several places to eat. It's a little older propert but not to bad and the ac units seem newer and the furnature and fixtures don't seem to be too old

    While it was nice to have a full kitchen and a clean and comfortable bed, the cabinets and/or the carpet had a strong smell that is in my clothes after getting back home (musty, woody?? I don’t know). The bathroom really needed updating, the shower and tub faucet leaked, there were some areas lacking grout or caulk that had turned black. It was ok considering the price.

    The property was in a convenient location and had a kitchen option. Previous reviews on hotel.com gave it an eight. On the plus side the staff were very polite and accommodating. On the negative side the place was run down and had a lot of deferred maintenance. The rooms were worn and dated and the overall cleanliness was not acceptable. I was surprised at the condition of the property given the ratings I had seen

    Stayed for a night. Room was spacious and overall clean. You can tell it's an older hotel that once was a smoking hotel but currently is a smoke free. Staff is super kind and helpful. Good for a night or if traveling with a big family.

    I struggled with writing this because businesses have really been going through it. This property needs a facelift. There was an actual screw poking out of the bath faucet. The ice maker didn’t work and no ice machines on property. There were no outlets for phones or iPads. Little inconveniences that went on and on. The amenities in the room seemed to be very old. The hair dryer on and off switch was only ON. It was clean and safe with a great staff.

    However, there was a consistent issue with an unpleasant odor in the hallways and rooms. I stayed in three different rooms across two floors. While the fourth floor was slightly better than the second, the smell was still noticeable in both the hallway and the rooms. This was disappointing, especially given how well everything else is cared for. It’s unfortunate because the staff works hard to create a welcoming environment, yet both guests and employees are affected by this issue. I hope management addresses it soon, as this hotel has a lot of positive qualities otherwise.

    Kitchen had minimal items for food prep and eating - only two spoons, forks and knives, and only one pot. Two electrical outlets above sink did not work. Toaster worked only in the bathroom. Rug was ripped and covered by a chair. Had to return to the desk twice to have keycards rescanned. Showerhead and water controls were rusty. Building was not shielded adequately against road noise. It was a cheap rate, though.

    So overall the place is okay, it’s a bit outdated. The rooms have a oldly smell to it. Didn’t really need the the help of staff members, they could really use more professional staff, especially front desk; giving attitude for no reason. If you’re younger consider the fact that there a lot of creepy old men. The days we stayed even police officers had to show up, coincidentally it was the people staying over across from us. They keep being loud and no staff ever came. Overall 3/5

    I booked a room two months in advance but upon arrival the two bed. option was not available and I had to settle for a much smaller queen bed with a pull out. .no advance notice ,nothing else was available. The Mgr. Blamed Expedia. I paid for extra and no reduction until I pleaded my case when checking out. The morning Mgr did adjust down the price but I had little or no sleep . The room TV didn't work, the couch and chair were in need of repairs and air conditioner was running all night ,couldn't turn down or off.table lamps were dirty.not a goodnight.

    i was worried after reading some of the poor reviews on here and other sites, but our five night stay was actually very lovely. the room was decently clean and had a full kitchenette (including dishware, a dishwasher, coffee pot, and a full fridge and freezer) and a large desk for working space. the complimentary coffee in by the lobby area was very convenient. the staff was helpful, our keycard demagnetized twice (likely due to being in a bag next to my electronics) and they replaced it for us with no issue. overall for the price it was an excellent stay

    Staff was friendly. Landscaping is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. However…. The room was ok clean. Tidy, but… Pizza boxes left in oven. Splatter on walls. Carpet had big stains. One lamp was broken a teetering. And there is NO soundproofing between floors. I mean, none. Anyone simply walking around, just normally, upstairs could be heard. Lots was good. But the noise was significant.

    I used Hotels.com to book a room with two king size beds. When I checked in I was told it was a room with one bed only. I called hotel.com and the guy with the thick accent could not help me a tow bed room that I originally signed up for. It’s a good thing I only spent 2 nights. My son had to sleep on the floor. What’s frustrating is I went back and tried to verify where I paid for a room with 2 beds but it was nowhere to be found. I will never again use Hotels.com and I definitely don’t recommend them.

    Upon arrival, the hotel made a great first impression. It is beautiful and surrounded by nature. However, when it came time to sleep, the experience was completely different. I was assigned room 423, and once everything was turned off, the noise from the nearby freeway was very noticeable. I understand that the hotel has soundproofing, but in my case it was not sufficient or did not function effectively, as the noise was constant and made it very difficult to rest. After trying to sleep for over an hour, I had to go down to the front desk to request a room change. I was moved to room 101, where the noise was somewhat reduced, but still noticeable. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable night and I was only able to get very little rest. It is unfortunate, because the hotel has great potential, but this issue significantly affects the guest experience. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter, as it may impact other guests as well. Thank you for your attention.

    I paid for a larger room with a bedroom which was $10 more than the smaller room. The room they had me check into had no tv in the bedroom so they could only offer a smaller room. The small room they had me usehad a horrible musty odor. Since I was there ,9 days, all of my belongings picked up that smell and everything I had needed cleaning when I got home. I left the bathroom vent in the hotel room running 24 hours a day but I could not clear the horrible musty smell.They did not offer me the $10 per day difference back either. Nice staff, rough property.

    I had 2 rooms booked- it was a softball tournament weekend- we get back to the hotel late- go to take a shower only to find a pair of men’s boxer shorts in our bathroom, large bug in room (it’s Florida- let that one go) then while searching for an electric outlet found a used bottle of tea-no men- no tea drinkers in our room- made us question what else was overlooked. Called the desk- promised points for the nastiness- never got points- called twice- still waiting.

    Room felt dirty from the moment we walked in. Peeling paint around the ceiling, moist/musty smell in the room. LOUD room was in the back and the highway was right out the window. Unable to open window to get fresh air in room. No exhaust fan in bathroom to clear steam from shower, metal door frame around entry door was bent as if someone tried to break in at some point. Asked front desk for more pillows - all out, asked for more coffee packets - all out, so we stopped asking and just did our time until we were headed home. Very little time was spent in the room. We will not be recommending this hotel or chain to anyone.

    The hotel is past the halfway point of its utility. As properties age things begin to "get tired" The hallways have a bit of an aroma. The bathroom fan is too loud. The door locks could have better technology to lock the room. The mattress felt like it was at replacement time. A decent enough place if priced consistently at or below $100/night.

    This hotel’s hallways are very stained and quite smelly. I was shocked to see how dirty it was and quite u like any hotel we’ve stayed at before for the price of 130.00 per night. However it’s quiet with a very beautiful neighborhood. Our room was large with a lovely mini kitchen but this hotel is quite old and rooms are quite old as well. Won’t stay here again.

    Staff was nice, average room and cleanliness. They had Dove products in the bathroom which was much appreciated. However, the noise was unbearable. I didn’t realize that the highway was against the hotel. I booked the room almost 6 months in advance and was given a room facing the highway instead of away from it. I paid $69 + tax. It’s worth $69. It was a fully booked night so I couldn’t switch rooms.

    Room was very clean and very spacious. Full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and small stove eye. Everything you needed as far as utensils and plateware was included. Pool onsite with a gazebo with grills and tables. 24hr coffee downstairs. Hotel is also pet friendly which we didn’t realize and were pretty bummed that we could have brought out bestest boy. Location was safe and super close to restaurants, stores etc. There was even a super nice Top Golf about a 1/4 mile down on the same road. Easy commute to UCF for the football game. This was our first time staying at an IHG branded suites hotel, we’ve stayed at Hilton branded ones a few times but I will say I will definitely use this hotel when we’re back in the area and look at other Candlwood Suites when we travel elsewhere.

    Everything went well, room looks better than what you will think from outside building area point of view. Love the dove products. Only issue was the water not being safe! And there is mold in the sink drain and shower head holder area in handicap room. That was a turn off. But I’ll stay here again for the price!

    Hotel was pretty good overall. It seems to need some maintenance sprucing up. Our room had a musty smell which wasn't great, but we got used to it. There was no clock in the room which was very unusual and disappointing. The flooring in the room was slippery to us and the division between carpet and flooring and bathroom was a little abrupt. We were in room 129.

    The bathroom amenities included make up remover pads, a shower caddy of regular sized toiletries that just required a tap to use (no chasing tiny bottles in the shower). The room was spotless. The many extra touches made our stay comfortable and we will definitely look for Candlewood Suites in future travels. Thank you!

    As a Florida girl I am used to bugs. But after discovering many dead little beetles in the bathroom, in the curtains, one on top of the bed, I did report it to the front desk. I said I was fine because they were dead. In the morning, there were live bugs (about 25) in different places. Told the front desk that there were now live ones and that I had reported dead ones yesterday. She stopped writing and said “Oh, you’ve already reported it.” Very disappointed in their response.

    This hotel should not have a 8.0 rating. The overpriced room smelled stale , moldy and old . I woke up with an itchy throat. Dead bugs in the bed and throughout the bathroom . The bed was comfortable and the kitchen area was clean. Besides the smell and the bugs it is a overall ok hotel

    They could only offer a room with a bed and a pull-out. It was late, we were tired, so said ok. On approach to room, attached are pic's of carpet. Horribly stained as if animals had urinated and defecated on it. Got to room... Dirty floors, pealing floor tiles and doorframe. Bed looked clean. Ok. We had to make up the Pull-out bed with sheets ourselves. The bed supports and mattress made out last camping trip sleep seem amazing. Please Do Not come here. I stay in less expensive motels all the time. I'm Not a snob...This was expensive and horrible.

    My flight was delayed, then canceled. I called the property to change my four night stay to three nights and they replied that it wouldn’t be an issue. Running the dishwasher caused the sink to back up filling the sink halfway, then the dishwasher began to leak onto the flooring. Finally, when checking out I was charged for all four nights.

    This Hotel was very rundown. Chairs were broken, Carpet was filthy, And bugs were seen in the kitchen and bathroom. The sheets looked clean, but when you laid down you smelled strong chemical or urine on the sheet. Just Awful. I did not stay my second night; IComplained and checked out.

    This property is in desperate need of an investor. Gut it and start over. Very old hotel. Nothing like what was represented on your website. Either the hotel did a bait and switch on Expedia or Expedia did a bait and switch on its customers. The area of Lake Mary was nice and close to everything. If you’re not staying at least 7 days, no maid service. Leave your towels outside your door and get new ones at the desk. Leave garbage in the hallway. No toilet paper or paper towels. TV was maybe 20”? Recliner was probably older than me and had nasty stains on it.

    While the staff were very kind and accommodating, this hotel is VERY dated and our room was filthy! Our sheets literally had holes in them. The microwave door handle was held together with duct tape. And the room reeked of stale cigarettes. Those are just some examples … luckily Expedia gave us a refund and we were able to find another hotel nearby that was in much better shape. I do not recommend this hotel.

The hallways were filthy and many parts of the room were cracking and falling apart. The last straw was finding hairs in the towels, I had to leave and checked into another hotel.

    I wasn’t pleased they gave me a handicapped room on the 1 st floor. Was very noisy from the noise outside and the air conditioner when it outdoor click on. When I made my reservation it stated breakfast included. There was no breakfast offered only coffee or tea. Wasn’t what I was expecting.

    I think the main areas for improvement are the following: Front desk needs to convey more accurately/clearly to housekeeping when a guest has requested late checkout, theres been a few times where I've gotten late checkout and was looking forward to sleeping in a little longer but was awoken by housekeeping at my door despite the do not disturb sign on the outside of my door. The pool could be cleaned of debris a bit more often, they leave the nets in an accessble area and I've opted to just clean it myself from time to time to help out lol, hasn't really bothered me but I can imagine some guest being upset by this. The candlewood shop stocked more often and more fully with slightly lowered pricing, its one of my favorite things about Candlewood and I use it almost every time I stay but the pricing can be a little absurd, I know you've gotta make money so even a slight decrease of 50c on some items would go a long ways.

    Unfortunately the property needs a serious maintenance overhaul. Our first room was ice-cold and smelled like its been soaking wet for days/weeks, even the bedding felt damp, and the dust behind the bathroom door has a dirty touch that looked like mold and wetstains on the ceiling and lampshade. I vented the room for an hour, but the small did barely go away. They might have had a previous water damage and it might not been all taken care, after seeing three tiny bugs on the bed I requested another room. The front desk immediately took good care of us and sent me to another room, which I couldn't get in because the lock was broken. The next room was on a different floor and smelled a lot better, but even here the room and floor had a musty scent. I vented for a while and it was ok. The room and furniture were in much better shape than the first room. The only issue in this room was that after a few hours, the AC started to rattle and woke me at 5 am, turning it off and on fixed the issue. I appreciated that it had a small kitchen and plenty of work space for me and my husband. This place has great potential and it's priced well and associated work hard. The outdoor area is kept well and it's in a safe neighborhood. I wish my original check-in experience had been different because it hate writing a negative review

    Property does not look the way the pictures show. Update is much needed. An additional security fee was charged at check in (no worries for me) but was not aware. Room smelled very old and molding. Carpet and curtains were damp and smelly. Bathroom door could barely close made loud noise when closing. Small store was ok charged after but could've found space for free breakfast at least. Area is good but full building needs a complete update.
