Look you get what you pay for! Yes the property is clean but there is a stench in the room like no other. The baseboards look like they are rotting away. The mattresses are worn out and just the overall vibe doesn't feel safe in the area it's located. Parking is located across the street, unattended, and looks unsafe. There is a bar inside the establishment that's open 24/7 so that might catch your fancy. There is also miniature gulfing inside the lobby, if that's what you want to do. We checked in and 30 minutes later we checked right back out! Paul was super nice upon arrival and departure. So the staff is not the issue here! The overall upkeep of the property needs a major overhaul.

Friendly helpful staff, very affordable stay, few block walk from Fremont st & casinos
- 4/5
I don’t know that I would stay here again due to the noise issues interrupting sleep.
- 1/5
Straight off the jump, you don’t know where to park. Staff show you a “parking diagram” and don’t properly explain that you have to stay within a certain areas of the parking lot and fail to mention there is two parking lots. I and another person ended up getting a ticket because of poor communication. There was a disgusting smell throughout the whole night, that other customers were also complaining about. When notified, staff didn’t accommodate and just gave us a poorly made and ineffective air freshener. The room was also dirty, the walls had stains, the shower didn’t look properly cleaned, the “soap” that was provided was body wash and shampoo, and the towels had stains. Overall a really bad experience.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel for avoiding the casino hotels. Older, renovated hotel. Room was spacious, although a second chair in the room would have been nice. Coldest pool water even with 100° heat. Easy walk to all the sights on Fremont St and lots of good food.
- 5/5
Plat golf anytime of the day, pool located across the street, various restuarants nearby, container park around the corner. Walking distance to Fremont festivities. Property well maintained, friendly staff.

All good

Hangout in the lobby bar for fun conversations!
- 5/5
Guest service was exceptional! The beds were phenomenally comfortable. Very retro look! Mini golf. Convenient location to Fremont Street Experience. I only missed having a small refrigerator.

Quaint Hotel in Vegas. Nice place to say seemed very secure as there was only one way in and one way out so definitely felt safe there. Staff was helpful and friendly and let us know exactly what we needed to know about parking which is off site and where to get ice Etc. It's kind of far from the main strip in Vegas but not too far where it makes it inconvenient
- 4/5
Everyone that was involved, with running the Motel were friendly and did everything to make things run smoothly, including the ice tray provided to keep items cool in the room. The location was ideal for the Freemont area . Also close to the container location and busses into the Vegas strip. Good value for money ,and would return here again. Thanks

Okay. Prior to reserve, wife & I were passing by NOT staying in Vegas. But needed to rest. I understand that there’s no refunds. But at times any thing can happen when going to your destination & need to cancel. It’s not okay that staff can’t cancel your reservation. I was forced to stay. Hotel it’s not a 10 like reviews say about it. Hotel was smelly & old. There’s a $20 resort fee? This place ain’t close of being a resort. It had no fridge nor at least 1 or two water bottles. Bed sheets were also smelly. Hotel needs plenty of improvements. Has no privets parking. Had to leave car across the street @ public parking. Which left my mind uneasy. However next morning my car was okay. It’s my fault & should do more research next time.
- 1/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. There is free parking with a parking pass they give you. The shower water’s hot with great water pressure. No bedbugs nor visible insect activity inside the room, but we left early. It just wasn’t comfortable.
- 3/5
Rooms were decent but there were no refrigerators, microwaves or coffee makers.

Pros- bed was nice. Coffee at the desk. Ice machine. Cons- parking was across the street so you have to haul all your luggage across the street and then up stairs. There's no elevator. No microwave or refrigerator. The worst part was the floor in the room was dirty. I walk around without shoes and my feet got dirty....which means they don't know how to mop a tiny floor. I think that is disgusting.

The grounds were lovely. It's a mini golf couse but most times it wasn't being used, and instead was a good space to eat outside. Because the motel has gated walls it shielded us from much of the wind and provided a lot of shade to eat comfortably outside. The location is also great- Las Vegas is not known for its walkability so it was nice that the motel is located within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and a 24-hr Walgreens. The free parking was also a huge help. The only downside (and this is probably because we were a ground-level room) is we had a lot of rolly-polly bugs in the bathroom area that were a bit of a nuisance. But they're harmless and no actual pests were noted during our stay. Also note early check in does cost extra. But the motel let us park our car early (since it was only 30 min before regular check in time) and we explored the neighborhood in the meantime
- 5/5
Great stay. Walking distance to Fremont st I was solo female and I felt very safe
- 2/5
The worst water pressure I’ve ever experienced. And after letting it run for 5 minutes it was merely tepid. I literally had to exit the shower to rinse my hair in the sink! the AC is either on or off. No thermostat. So I’m in the room, kinda clean and just want to go to bed. At 11pm I discovered my room always across an alley (yeah, great view) was a very loud nightclub with bass booming through the paper thin walls. Then of course there were the crazy people that frequent the neighborhood often yelling and having fights right outside my room on the street. There’s no breakfast. Just coffee(and it was terrible. Just a “cocktail lounge” which is actually a 10’ long bar with 4 stools and no tables, frequented by rather questionable locals. There’s only 1 entrance and I had to walk 100yds in the opposite direction of my room before turning around and climbing stairs (no elevator) then circling the entire building on an exterior balcony to get to my room. Their ad says recently renovated in 2024. That means they painted it. Also, if you stay here bring a charger and super long USB if you want your phone to be able to be charging on the nightstand. Entire place just had a scuzzy feel to it. My advice… stay away.
- 2/5
Not well maintained, charged $40 amenities fee, without disclosure, not responsible staff
- 5/5
We liked how they had a central air system in the room. Very simple. Couldn’t get much closer to Hi, Lo, Cool, Hot than this place. Very bare bones, only had a thin sheet for warmth, but we travel with our own comforters so not a big deal. but minimalism is IN now. NO cable tv, only OTA so the channel guide in the room was worthless. Check in was kindve a hassle, as it was a self check in, but why have a front desk person if they can’t check you in. Interacting with them was so enjoyable. They were friendly, warm and welcoming. It rocked. And then in the morning coffee was hot and fresh. Could’ve used a small breakfast nook, or donuts, but good food is a block away. The ONLY thing that bothered me, was the smell of the cleaning products they used. It smelled like the floors in an establishment of ill repute. But maybe that’s part of the Vegas charm. Use lavender Pine Sol people. Smells better. Other than that, we will definitely be returning, if only just to stay there again.
- 2/5
Check in was suppose to be at 3:00 pm, didn’t get my third room until 8:30 pm. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a motel not hotel. Amenities were as promised, but a smaller version.
- 3/5
AC worked well in 100 degree weather. Room was average. Walls are thin, bring earplugs for sleeping or you will be upset. Saw 1 cockroach. Shower water was warm. Bring slippers, the floors were filthy. The bottom of my feet turned black. Lots of homeless in the area. You get what you pay for.

The place was cute. But its definitely described best as u get what u pay for. Thankfully we only slept there. But we didn't get blankets until the 2nd night. I was a little shocked that there wasnt a dresser in the room. So we had to stay packed for the 4 days we were there.
- 2.5/5
1. The floor was very dirty, swept but not washed. The damp bathmat it was filthy from having been on the floor. 2. No blankets, and the desk had no blankets to provide. 3. No way to switch off bedside light except a switch next to the door.

Very friendly staff from beginning to end. Only stayed for one night so we didn’t get to take advantage of all the amenities. Locations was perfect for the stay. Although it is an older hotel, it is obviously renovated and comfortable.

- 4/5
The rooms were clean but it had like a stuffy weird smell upon arrival had to keep the window open and spray for it to smell a bit pleasant. Other than that place was great!!!
- 4/5
Staff lovely. We had an issue with our first room as someone was smoking outside the room late at night and early in the morning and the smell was drifting through our ventilation but they moved us to a much better room (no 312) for our second night. Really helpful and obliging.
- 1/5
It's a joke they call this a boutique hotel. It's a motel, in very unsafe area of town.

Well what can I say I had one of the best experiences in Vegas at this hotel from the moment I walked in iI was greeted with a good morning from J also a good morning from Ms D I was able to check in early but I had to wait a little bit for my room to be cleaned which was no problem I sat at the bar and had a couple drinks and got to know everybody that works there my experience there was awesome my room was clean the bed was comfortable the shower work hot water and cold water and the AC did later on that day I met Paul who also works there who is really a cool dude and also Leslie that works at night everybody had a positive attitude and they were really friendly nothing bad to say about my stay .. Parking is in a small public lot across the street. If that fills up, you have to call and they then direct you to another public lot across the street. Room was clean and in mostly good order. Decor had some artificial turf on the wall in the closet, and part of it was peeling off. Beds were basic but clean, however mattresses were very well aged and made noise with the slightest movement.

Excellent Boutique hotel near all the excitement of Downtown Las Vegas. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it.
- 3/5
The staff was average not very engaging in my opinion. There was no breakfast. Also the air conditioning felt more like a swamp cooler than an air conditioned unit. So overall for what I paid wasn’t worth the stay to be honest.

Clean rooms, the most comfy bed, friendly and attentive staff. Conveniently located in Downtown Las Vegas, 2 blocks away from container park. Container park is very cool, recommend checking it out. This is my go to when I'm in Vegas.

- 5/5
Staff was very nice and friendly. Quick easy check in!
- 3/5
Bedding was a bit stained.. my biggest thing was the parking ..didnt like it was across the street
- 4/5
I didn't like some of the check in process. You have to use a kiosk to register your room cards. One of my keys didn't work. So I had to go back downstairs and have the front desk fix it, which they did. But why didn't they just do them for me in the first place?
- 1/5
I booked a different room after I got to this location, it smelled liked cigarettes, I felt unsafe and got moved rooms after entry. The second room was just as bad. Drug residue on the entry mirror and the floor was sticky. I literally cried and had to book a different hotel. I’m very disappointed and sad the pics are lies.
- 5/5
Dee is amazing and so I will come back again.
- 4/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
My room was clean and comfortable. It lacked a desk and chair, but the nightstand and armchair served as OK substitutes. Staff were friendly. They have a fun indoor 6-hole mini-golf course that is free for guests.
- 4/5
No blankets on the bed only sheets had to request blankets and no refrigerator
- 0.5/5
The hotel was filthy, room smelled terrible, there was a beer bong in the room and we found bugs on the bed consistent with bed bugs per online verification. We checked out and manager did not believe we should get a refund. The area also seems unsafe.
- 4/5
Property was in good condition and mostly up to date. Cleanliness was good. Security seemed good and location was good, close to downtown but a short walk away. Resort amenities were few but so was the fee.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome
- 4/5
The AC is unchangeable in rooms. Parking safe across the street. No elevators, just stairs and that can be too much with luggage. Paul & Leslie were amazing!
- 5/5
This was a really cute property. Friendly fun staff, room was clean. Just off the busy sections of Las Vegas to be quiet, but close enough to enjoy the night life and casinos. The property itself reminded me of cute beachfront hotels back east, and it even has mini golf on the main floor. The staff really made us laugh and the vibe was laid back, comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again.
- 4/5
Nice hotel would stay again, however, no room service to bring us towels anything you need is in the front building. Faint smell of sewage when walking in.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 3/5
Well it’s an odd. Would not recommend if you have a lot luggage and or bring an ice chest(no mini fridge in the room) because it’s embarrassing and odd to have people stare at you while bring in your stuff only one way in and one way out. No ramp to roll your luggage or your rolling ice chest through the front door. I have never been and wasn’t even given directions to where my rooms were located. The mattress kept sliding around so my pillows kept falling through the crack. Floors were dirty, the bottom of feet turn black within 30 minutes of being in the room. Shower didn’t look clean either. Oooh pool and parking is across the street which I dislike a lot.
- 3/5
I will say the Staff was amazing and such genuine care shout of to Dee and Paul. As Far room and property this was my experience. The Hotel room smelled my Sewage and waste. Most of my Towels had dried blood stains sheets were dirty with dried blood and dirt. AC rattled all night on high had to either switch it off or to low for it to not rattle. Slept maybe 2 hours cause of the smell and being uncomfortable. So I give the experience a 2.5 Stars review but the Staff was 5 of 5.
- 1/5
This is actually a motel, not a hotel it has this weird smell. It’s probably the plumbing. None of the amenities that are on this site and the pamphlet that they give you in your room are available. They don’t have free bikes, the guy who was working at night didn’t even know anything about a pool we found out about the pool last night. We were there from some other guest parking is horrible. There’s no way to heat up your food or your food so if you eat out, make sure you eat it all. Don’t bring anything back. We were kept up all night by the people above us. I had to call the office multiple times and go there multiple times and nothing was done. I can’t say It’s an OK area to be in. Just make sure you’re not traveling alone at night. They definitely need some change a lot of things and update the site and let people know that they do not have a lot of things that they claim their offering. A lot of people were canceling their booking once they got there and found out. It’s not how they made it seem online. Definitely very upset with the amount of money that I paid for this and it wasn’t really worth it
- 5/5
The Downtowner is a close to downtown. Janay is a wonderful employee and happy
- 3/5
It was as expected. Older hotel. It was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Thin walls, window unit air conditioning, Sharp TV with analog signal (not a great picture). Bed was fine with nice pillows. They did have a pool, but I didn’t us it. I did hear people out there enjoying it. I appreciate it being open in March in 90 plus weather. I stayed at the Strat my first couple nights and the pool was closed. It shows they prepare. They make you check in yourself using terminals in the entry. This I didn’t like…. I’m on vacation; I don’t wanna think. I want to hand you my card and go.
- 3/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms are definite highlights. However, the room had a noticeable sulfur-like odor. Despite the name suggesting a hotel, it feels more like a motel—no elevator, and parking is located across the street
- 5/5
We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 4/5
Stiff beds and pillows
- 1/5
There was a bad smell throughout the property. The only decent looking area was the lounge/check-in area, but that's where the smell came from the most. Very loud, non stop music until early morning. It was hard to get any sleep. It seemed like an upgraded motel but it was runed own like any other motel you see.
- 3/5
We traveled as a group and booked here for an overnight stay.Rooms were clean. The air did not work in all rooms but the staff were prompt on addressing any issues our group had.
- 2/5
no microwave and fridge :( our room had a pipe outside of the window on the ledge i was a little scared to sleep there my bf had to reassure me, the room kind of smelt bad like sewer all of our clothes smell like it now as well. bathroom had no vent mirror would fog and stay foggy for a while bathroom window didn’t help much. towel rack holder in the bathroom kept falling off the wall our room was the only room with no screen on the bathroom window scary :(

Excellent location, very very friendly staff, priced right, and nothing to complain about😊

Additionally, the room was very cold. There was no heat. The blower on the wall appeared to only blow cold air. The lights near the bed were very bright and couldn't be controlled individually. No outlet near the bed. The other light switch was broken and there were no blankets on the bed, just sheets.
- 5/5
We will stay here again. The bed was so comfortable and had what needed in the room for our trip.

LIKE PUTTING A DRESS ON A PIG ... THIS PLACE IS AT LEAST 80-90 YEARS OLD AND SHOULD NOT BE RENTED OUT AS A HOTEL DREADFUL THE ATTITUDE AMONG THE STAFF AND THE POORLY REMODELED FACILITIY

The Downtowner is right around the corner from Fremont Street. It is very clean, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The amenities are meh, and I didnt like that we had to pay extra for them EVERY NIGHT WE WERE THERE! I never used one the whole time I was there!

Fun hotel, helpful staff and great location near old downtown Las Vegas. Felt secure inside hotel's property with security and quiet location in separate building. Parking was convenient, and lots to do & walk to nearby.

Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
Staff was excellent and the space was super cute, plenty of places to just sit and vibe, and a full bar which was an excellent touch. The only problem we really had was that it was inly heating available in the room, making it unbearably hot in the room at times, if they fixed the heating/air problem this place this place is amazing.

Nice place at a reasonable price and great location to downtown

- 1/5
Bad place
- 2/5
The staff were nice. But this hotel seriously lacked some basic amenities. First of all, no elevators. Then there are certain ports which don’t work, and I had to charge my phone near to the bathroom. This hotel provides parking at the public parking which is not ideal when it rains.

Furthermore they were not friendly when we checked in and especially checked out. They not greet us or say thank you for staying with us. The bed only had cheats for us to use no comforter on top so it was pretty cold at night.
- 5/5
No issues..

Staff is the best. Fun place to stay. Close to Fremont experience. Second time we have been there, plan on going back. It isn’t luxury, but fun and kitschy
- 4/5
Great service
- 5/5
The staff is always amazing!
- 3/5
Bad service and pool didn't work
- 3/5
The location was fine. Walking distance to Fremont Dr. and safe. The other direction was fairly abandoned and not great. The staff was great.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.😊
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful! Helpful& friendly.
- 4/5
Great
- 3/5
I love the uniqueness of this hotel and that they are staying operational instead of being torn down or abandoned. There were no blankets on our beds. The rooms don't have thermostats. The check in prices was easy and as expected.
- 1/5
Staff and location are the only two positives. Otherwise, I would not recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Very friendly and professional staff
- 2/5
Extremely smelly
- 5/5
Room was great staff was great, just please mention there are two other parking lots when the one across the street gets full. I’ve stayed prob 6 times and didn’t know about those. Left me having to pay at el Cortez at 2am just to get in and go to sleep. That part was frustrating other than that it’s always great !
- 1/5
We were kept awake all night by the couple in the room next to us that kept fighting. I feared for me and my childs safety and had to call police at 7 in the morning.
- 5/5
The staff were fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable of the area. No cigarette smell in the room was refreshing. Lots of fun shops and restaurants in the area and very walkable.
- 2/5
The only nice thing is that the room is pretty clean and location is good. There is no AC. Amenities fees are not optional even when you're not using their tiny gym or the silly minigolf. Room is not at all soundproof and you can be woken up by car sound or shenanigans happening on the street at 5am.
- 2/5
The first room we were in smelt like really bad like mold and the lights kept flickering. The second room was better but no AC first night we had to sleep with the window open and we woke up to weed and cigarette smell in room. The sheets were dirty with what looked like blood stains
- 3/5
It was OK and comfortably enough
- 2/5
Nice staff , music started at 9 am,
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff was very nice. They offer breakfast and 2 happy hour drinks per guest. Very convenient location.
- 3/5
Room was alright, staff courteous, location perfect, parking plenty. Price of room was too high to the facilities provided. Room didnt even had blankets but had to be requested by reaching over to reception. Would price it at $70+$20 for parking to feel the price is good.
- 3/5
Great staff.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Good overall experience. The staff were helpful.
- 4/5
Room is clean, parking is opposite of the hotel.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was helpful
- 2/5
Alot about it was Uncomfortable and Loud, old , no Air conditioning
- 5/5
Staff were nice and accomadating even when I lost my phone and was freaking out.
- 2/5
The property itself looks freshly remodeled, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The mini-golf area was also very clean and well-designed — definitely a highlight. The location and parking are fine except lots of narcs and homeless people around. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Our room was quite small and had a strong cigarette smell, which we tried to cover with perfume and even bought scented candles to make it bearable. The bathroom window looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months — covered in dust and some mold. The shower cabin was modern and clean overall, but there was noticeable mold around the door frame. The floors weren’t terrible but clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned either. Overall, it felt like the place had potential but wasn’t maintained well
- 4/5
Now mind you, this is a small "boutique" hotel so when you walk into the courtyard it's open and the rooms are situated around it. When you first walk thru, there is a small sitting area and unfortunately there's no food service there... but they do have a small decently stocked bar that is open 24hrs! 😁👍🙌. The rest of the courtyard is a small putt-putt golf course with a concrete fire pit in the middle and a couple of picture worthy spots. Once in the room, we were pleased to see that it was cute, and nicer than expected. You can tell they spent more time making the rooms pretty rather than focusing on the outside aesthetics, lol. But we all know that is most important, lol. 😁👍 The bed was comfy and clean as well as the bathroom area accommodating. Water pressure could've been a little better, but not terrible, lol. Location was great in that it is only a few blocks from Freemont street and all the activities there. Lots of places to check out within walking distance. Overall, our stay there was quite nice and super affordable... and I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Though very old, the property is very clean. Rosie the housekeeper is very nice and polite.
- 5/5
2 night stay car shopping
- 5/5
Clean well kept and maintained , fast food purchase area
- 4/5
all good
- 5/5
I will be staying there from here on out
- 5/5
Paul was an absolute legend! Thank you for being an amazing human!!!
- 5/5
Staff was super nice and helpful with everything!
- 5/5
Lady at front desk was super friendly. Room was excellent. Nice area. Cant complain
- 4/5
didn't have breakfast, just coffee.
- 5/5
The staff makes thos place. They are absolutely awesome. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I always stay here when we go to Vegas.
- 1/5
Horrible place, left because I was not feeling safe in that place,I was not able to leave my car with all the transient next to me asking for money and checking my car
- 1/5
The room smelled bad when we first walked in. There was no comforter on one of the beds and the “graveyard shift clerk” told me to come get a blanket he didn’t know why I didn’t get one. The ice machine right next to our room was super loud and kept me up at night. The door wasn’t on the hinges right and had not seal so you could see outside. The courtyard was a good place for people to scream and cuss all night. I would not consider this a boutique hotel.
- 4/5
Very basic hotel room, but a little noisy because of room window and door.
- 4/5
We didn't eat breakfast there
- 5/5
Located in the heart of Fremont across from El Cortez , just 2 min walk to Fremont experience, great price point rooms were affordable don't mind booking back here.
- 5/5
There's no breakfast here but Paul was awesome and so was Dee. We had a really good time there. Unfortunately somebody had broken their pool filter cover. Other than that everything was excellent.
- 4/5
Staff was lovely at check in and check out. We were able to get up to our room and settle in. Room was clean but shower could’ve used a good scrub. Overall a pleasant quick experience.
- 4/5
CLEAN / NICE / A GREAT PLACE TO STAY FOR AN INEXPENSIVE HOTEL.... FREE PARKING ... SKETCHY NEIGHBORHOOD BUT WHAT PART ISN'T ?? SECURITY AT THE HOTEL SEEMS GOOD ... ONLY ONE WAY TO GET IN AND 24/7 MANNED
- 1/5
The check-in process was confusing and inefficient. I noticed several other guests struggling with it as well. You essentially have to activate your own room cards and manage most of the process yourself. While the receptionist was friendly and tried her best to assist, it was clear that the system in place was inadequate, leaving many guests frustrated. As for the rooms, they were disappointing. I've stayed in better conditions at budget hotels like Motel 6. The bathrooms were not clean, with hair in the shower and an overall lack of proper cleaning. It seemed like the room was just sprayed with air freshener rather than thoroughly cleaned. The bed was hard, and the sheets felt rough against my skin. Additionally, the noise level was unbearable; we could hear everything happening around us. I feel like what I paid was a total scam. Overall, I regret my decision to stay here and would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
- 3/5
Older motel but clean. Very simple. Beds were comfy. Parking was fine. Downside is that the walls are thin and it was very noisy late into the night. We checked in at 3:00 am and there was still lots of noise. It was a weekend so during the week it might be quieter.
- 5/5
The desk staff were really friendly and helpful
- 2/5
The room was very dirty. Our feet were black after walking around. There was food from someone’s hand touching the door frame. Mold in the shower. Very minimal furniture in the room and just generally felt unclean. It was very noisy and you could hear neighbors talking through the walls very easily. The front desk staff was not friendly at check in and barely said anything other than just asking for our IDs and telling us where our room was and didn’t even respond when we thanked him.
- 5/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
I didn't get breakfast. I didn't feel safe so I checked out the first day and went to another hotel. This place is not a hotel...it's a motel. The workers were courteous, and helpful.
- 1/5
the place itself would have been fine for the price - a renovated older motel building that seems common at the moment. And the room was fine too, clean and spacious enough. But there was what sounded like a nightclub nearby that went on until at least 4 AM and we could hear every beat of the music. Unfortunately we had an early appointment so this was the last thing we needed.
- 3/5
Both seemed safe enough for me
- 3/5
Still kind of a shady area to be walking around at night. Also checking in is kind of a pain as they make scan your id & check in on the computer by yourself
- 5/5
A great place to stay, away from the crowds and casinos of “the strip”. The staff was very nice and friendly.
- 4/5
Great place to crash close to the strip. Mini golf for extra fun!
- 5/5
Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. 4 blocks from the fremont. Put put golf was fun. Remodeled rooms
- 2/5
Paul was very rude at check in. We were place in a different room type than we had paid for. It was extremely cold in the room with no thermostat. Paul' sneakily responded "open a window". The next morning the issue was resolved by Dee who moved us to a room with a thermostat. Paul is the front desk manager. We will NEVER book a stay at this place EVER again.
- 4/5
We loved being walking distance to the Walk of Fame, and the staff were super nice about checking us in early. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good, offering plenty of options (watch out, you might put on a few pounds!). Our only significant concerns, which led to the lower rating, are two-fold: the pool area is quite small and difficult to enjoy fully. More importantly, walking a bit further from the hotel reveals a disheartening amount of homelessness and rubbish, which made us feel unsafe at times. Excellent hotel service, but be mindful of the immediate neighborhood.
- 1/5
They game my room away
- 5/5
Great place. Fitness Room. 24hr Bar. Near Everything
- 5/5
We really loved our stay! Super decent price for super decent hotel. The staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Si
- 4/5
It was a good room
- 5/5
Rooms was clean and the staff was super friendly
- 5/5
There are homeless around the area. But the rooms and property are clean. Great customer service
- 4/5
Staff is Wonderful. Had an incredible stay! Gym is sufficient to Kick Yo Azz. 24hr Bar on property! Lots of Incredible Food and Brew, literally steps away. Nice place, will return. ~W~
- 3/5
I booked this room because of proximity to the events I was attending. The staff was nice, the check in process was automated, and kind of annoying. I booked a queen room and was given a double bed room. Not a deal breaker. However, The room itself was not completely clean, i noticed crumbs and poorly wiped surfaces. The room also had an odor, like someone had previously smoked inside and the stench didn't go away. I was there for one night, in and out. I would not come back to this hotel.
- 3/5
Room didn’t feel clean
- 5/5
reasonable price. Old school simple place vintage but well kept. Staff bery friendly and helpful.Close to all the excitement. Look forward to going back.
- 4/5
Great location, near restaurants
- 5/5
Our stay here was good. Only complaint was it was a bit noisy but what can we do, we were a block away from Fremont St. overall we were happy with our stay.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and had a lot of fun details like a walk-in closet with astroturf on the walls and there was a mini-golf course in the courtyard that proved to be fun and challenging. The staff was delightful and heart-warming in their approach to addressing our needs. My husband has disabilities that required special access, and they were quick to accommodate those needs. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and I will consider staying here again on our next visit. My only deduction was for the condition of the room. The floor was damaged and there were other wear marks from previous guests. Also, the sound proofing between floors could be beefed up. One night there were some very active guests in the room above ours and we could hear lots of banging and scraping on the floors that kept us up at night.
- 4/5
2 blocks from the entrance to the Fremont Experience…excellent. The noise from the people leaving the Fremont Experience not excellent…but then we were staying close to where the loud is. The bed was comfortable, staff was very nice, parking was right across the street. Check in was a little tedious. Over all, and for the money…I was satisfied.
- 3/5
Staff great room was a non smoking room however someone had smoked in there prior and you could smell this. Overall good for a quick overnight stay
- 5/5
Fun vibes and very easy to get downtown, we loved the free mini golf next the the lobby bar!
- 1/5
Tried calling Hotels.com No answer with automated service Frustrated Having to sleep in my car!
- 1/5
The room was ice cold and took forever to get to a normal temp.
- 5/5
Great stay for the price. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Walking distance to Fremont and far enough away where there’s not a lot of noise. This is always my go to when the rooms on The Fremont Street Experience are a little too high.
- 3/5
It’s dark
- 5/5
Only stayed one night, room was clean, no problem at all. Close to but not on Fremont Street.
- 5/5
Great place to stay very clean
- 5/5
Price was excellent 40 for the night 😜
- 4/5
Clean room, nice helpful respectful staff
- 5/5
Friendly team, clean and quiet roomsroom
- 1/5
This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel was very run down compared to the photos online and was very dirty. They have a rodent problem as we found a rat in our room and left immediately.
- 4/5
They staff is amazing!!
- 5/5
We always enjoy staying her very friendly staff

.
- 5/5
Leslie at the front desk was the best. All of the staff was great, but she stood out.
- 5/5
We had a really great time. It is really close to Freemont street. It has this retro feel about it and the staff were really hardworking and pleasant.
- 3/5
Overall, our stay was good. The only complaint I have is the floor in the room seemed dirty/kind of sticky
- 1/5
The facility is so bad. The whole hotel smells strange
- 5/5
The check-in process was weird not a fan how check in goes at places. After that it was good. The place is a cheap Motel in downtown but it worked great for a 4th of July vacation. Also could go downstairs and get drinks the theme here is cool.
- 1/5
Room nice and clean when I finally got there. The one nice thing I can say. Booked on Expedia expecting to just chk in. Busy when I arrived. One agent. No signage and I had told agent I was disabled and needed ground floor close. Ultimately I got ground floor but the farthest room from the desk-literally. I was in tears of pain by the time I found the room-could be improved by signage or just an agent that had a clue. Inoperable kiosk so took over 30 min to get a key and get to room. Upon chk out I find a $25 pkg ticket despite using the placard they have me in the lot they instructed. Now fitting with city of LV to dispute the charge! Likely will be out the additional $25! Not acceptable. Also son paid on Expedia but got there and had to pay resort fee separately. Do with that and the parking ticket it was about $50 more then son paid- for six hours sleep. Neighborhood typical downtown stuff-questionable clientele outside which I expected.
- 5/5
Great location for El Cortez. Parking can be a hit or miss on weekends. Great staff.
- 5/5
From the moment I arrived, Dee made me feel like I wasn’t just a guest — I was family. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail went far beyond what you’d expect. Lesley is also a total pro, always ready with a smile and helpful tips to make your stay smooth and enjoyable. Dee — the heart and soul of this hotel, she's the Queen Dee of this local hive, because she truly reigns supreme when it comes to making people feel welcome. Her energy is infectious, her care is sincere, and she has a magical way of turning a simple stay into a memorable experience. She’s the reason I keep coming back year after year. The location is perfect — just steps away from the vibrant Fremont Street scene, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the overall vibe is friendly and laid-back. If you’re looking for a place in Vegas that feels like home, where the staff treat you like royalty and the experience is consistently amazing — this is it. Thank you Dee and Lesley for everything you do. I can’t wait to see you again next year!
- 5/5
Great location, easily walkable to Fremont Street. Great room rates for the area also.
- 5/5
Easy booking, fast check in, very clean rooms.
- 3/5
Hard to find parking
- 5/5
Very kid and family friendly staff and property! Mini golf is fun for everyone right in the property! Leslie and the staff were amazing! Pool was perfect temperature and easy walking to lots of attraction’s, food, shopping on Fremont! The beds were comfy! Thank you hope to be back soon
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Lesley in the front desk was the most amazing and kind person who could have welcomed us in.
- 5/5
It's good for the price
- 5/5
A short walk from Fremont Street Experience past some cool bars and restaurants. More quiet and accessible than the hotel casinos. Convenience store one block away, grocery store and deli 3 blocks. Small lounge in the lobby with a bar. Friendly staff! No fridge in the room but ice is free and plentiful. I'll go back.
- 5/5
The hotel is secured, but the surrounding area outside isn’t the best. Just be smart and protect yourself. We felt safe because we had pepper spray. Some homeless were around, but that’s Fremont street for you lol. The hotel itself is safe and secured though :) will stay again
- 5/5
I love the atmosphere and environment. It was an excellent stay for a quick getaway!
- 3/5
Ok
- 3/5
The front desk is nice and the bar that they have all looks really pretty and well put together. But with that being said the hallway to get to the room smelled like mildew and when we got into the room it smelled the same way. There was a dead roach as well in the window of the bathroom and it was huge it almost as big as my pinky finger as well as the fact that one night there was a giant roach that skittered across the floor and scary the hell out of me. If your on like a budget and want to be right next o Fremont street then this place is okay and the parking wasn’t all that great it’s across the street and it’s open so anyone can break into your car.
- 3/5
Overall ok
- 5/5
The management its was excellent
- 5/5
Golfing
- 5/5
The room was very clean. I am from Las Vegas originally and even though it was located by El Cortez on Fremont, it was still very quiet. I would stay here again!
- 5/5
Very convenient walking distance to Fremont experience and hotel was great
- 4/5
The Downtowner was great. The staff at the check in was incredibly nice and made me laugh after a long day of travel. The check in using the kiosk was a bit cumbersome when your tired from travel. They had a good offering of snacks but there are not any restaurants close by that I found. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, I slept well. I would stay again if it was a quick stay and I was not looking to go to the casino or out for dinner. But good hotel at a great price.
- 4/5
Unique motif
- 2/5
At first glance the place looked nice but got put into the wrong room and had to switch because it had huge roaches
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 3/5
The price is not the actual price as Expedia claims. The hotel tacks on an extra "ammenity fee." I don't think Expedia knows about this. Still with the added fees the price is good and is GREAT access to down town and Fremont!
- 4/5
I've stayed here before so I know what I'm getting into. It's a cheap place with a great location and they either don't charge a resort fee which they really shouldn't or they charge a very small one. They have a pool. They have some activities around there but still the best deal downtown. It's not perfect but it's clean. It's comfortable and reasonably quiet. You do hear some noise from the courtyard sometimes but nothing unexpected
- 5/5
Good snacks and bed was good
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Quick trip to see a concert
- 5/5
Muy buen lugar
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room great as a last min option with affordable prices.

- 5/5
Almost everything
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
“Free secure parking” is a lot adjacent from the hotel completely open with no security or cameras on site just a bunch of broken window glass
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
About a 5ish min walk to Fremont street. Area is pretty residential otherwise (same types of characters you would see on the strip tbh). Beds are comfy, room is clean every time I have stayed here. Someone is always on staff, at least as far as I’ve seen. This place is always on my list to check when I come to Vegas.
- 1/5
Not good at all on Friday night I was told I could park in the lot on 9th and Fremont and had my parking in the window. I received a $25 ticket and all the hotel staff did was tell me I had to fix it man terrible no help no offer just to pay the ticket seems like this place doesn’t look out for customers.
- 3/5
Recently remodeled older building. Poor lighting in the room (too bright ). No coffee maker, fridge or microwave in the room. Bed was comfortable. Room was small so furniture was sparce. A desk would have been nice. Walking distance from Freemont Street shopping area. No covered parking.
- 4/5
The front desk staff had wonderful recommendations for food and activities. The beds were comfortable and clean and the A/C was incredible. We actually had to turn it off at night which has never happened before - usually were too hot! The pool was clean and cool with plenty of chairs and even had some shade for those hanging with their kids. There’s an on site putt putt area that was u expected and a big fire pit area for evening gatherings. It’s very close to the strip as well. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Very cool place off the beat yet convenient
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Room was dirty but the supervisor was amazing
- 4/5
Was a decent spot right around the corner from the Fremont experience.
- 3/5
It was a huge room and I like the ambiance
- 3/5
Smelled like sewer/gas leak! Was loud and no microwave or fridge. Had to park in a sketchy parking lot 2 blocks over. Swimming pool is across the street, not on actual property. Was cleanish… bed was clean and good. Only 1 entrance to enter and exit no other access was very inconvenient.
- 5/5
My second time there, and will definitely visit again!
- 1/5
roaches in my bathroom
- 4/5
Area is a little sketchy but if you need a clean place to stay with very limited amenities and basically a bed and place to shower this is a pretty decent choice.
- 3/5
If you in a bed for the night and don't care, stay here
- 4/5
We really enjoyed our stay. Aside from our room smelling and the front office smelling it was nice and cozy.
- 5/5
The bar is 24hrs and the staff are very fun and hospitable. The fire pit is really great. Of course it was to warm for us to enjoy it, but it is state of the art and a very cool space. They have a golf course in the courtyard, it is a bit aged, as well as the carpets leading to the rooms, but besides that...it is a great place to stay!!!!
- 5/5
I love it. It was just smell in the lobby
- 4/5
The buildings interior hallway needs to be updated. It felt dark with the bamboo lining the walls and artificial grass carpeting.
- 1/5
Room had not been used for a while... Dust on everything... bedding not fresh
- 1/5
Ac unit way too loud plus there parking lot grave me two tickets smh and they need to spray for bugs and the main office smells really bad
- 2/5
Room had a strong freshly painted smell and had roaches.
- 5/5
Dee is the best!
- 3/5
Nice hotel miniature golf, and swimming pool, plus weight room/gym,nice prices downtown as well
- 5/5
I enjoyed every moment of it
- 1/5
The room appeared clean upon initial inspection; however, upon entering, we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong and persistent odor that was difficult to describe. The smell was so intense that it made us unable to consider staying the night. Unfortunately, the motel was unable to offer a refund, despite our concerns.
- 1/5
It made me so uncomfortable that I did not check in, I rebooked to a better place. They are not wanting to give me a refund. They said I need to go through the 3rd party to get it, and hotels.com representatives tried and were denied the refund. Complete waste of money. I hope they do the right thing and get me my refund, as I will keep trying.
