MainStay Suites Las Vegas Flamingo

2 rooms booked months ahead of time requested together ended up being put in separate floors the room was not clean and light cover was left on top of sink. I reported it and was told it would be fixed it took 3 hours for someone to come fix it and I had no access to the restroom sink meanwhile. Pool was dirty. Paid everything upfront for no surprise charges but was still charged $100 deposit when I can to check in. When booking on Expedia was advertised the Famingo but it ended up being the mainstay which was false advertising. The rooms where cheaper when we got here we paid more booking ahead of time overall horrible experience and will not be booking with Expedia again

Overall, the rooms were good size. The pool needs a little bit better maintaining, and I think the only downside that I saw to this place was on one of our nights we came in and there was a lady passed out and in the morning around eight in the morning, there was a police and ambulance. I had to come remover with security, so coming into the facility late at night and stumbling upon that and there was nobody there at the desk to help with the situation. We just went to our room, but overall, it was a decent day. I mean, there’s always incident they’re out of control.

Staff was friendly; had about 10min wait to check in at 9pm. Hard to find trashcans; only elevators or in rooms. Rooms were nice enough. Bed frame was pretty squeaky and housekeeping missed a dirty washcloth that was hanging on shpwer curtain pole. Had 2 shampoos but no conditioner. Would still stay here again.

The staff was great , especially Michelle and Robert. They need to rethink what type of furniture is needed in each room. For example there was only one kitchen chair and one os chair. I was there for 3 days with my wife and we couldn't sit together to have a meal. To watch tv , I had to sit on the bed and my wife had to sit on the os chair. They don't clean the room at all. We had to take out the trash when we checked out. You don't get clean towels everyday, you have to ask for them. The only thing they offer is coffee from 6:00-900 am.

Kitchen had everything we needed to make our nachos while we were there. We made them every day, there were a lot of close shopping centers for us to get way more things but we just like the idea of nachos while vacationing.

The location is great. Far enough away to get away from the strip, but close enough to get pretty much anywhere in 30 min or less. The Blueberry Hill Family Restaurant across the street was AMAZING. There was also an olive garden, Asian Buffet and Korean BBQ close by that looked really good. It looks like the current owners are trying to fix up the place. Our room had new paint and new flooring. We had extenuating travel situations, so they let us check in early for a $35 fee. My dad was sick, so they let us stay until noon. Room 305 needs help. The electric outlet in the main room is shorting out and causing the lamp fixture to ground out. It was shocking me whenever I touched it. It was loose in the wall. The fan/lamp in the master bedroom didn't work properly. The fan adjustment chain was not functioning and there was no way to control the fan and light separately. There are no towel racks in the bathroom. No trash can in the bathroom. There is only one small trash can in the whole suite. I couldn't find any extra trash bags. The garbage disposal did not work. The soap dispenser in the kitchen was broken, not there The bathroom had single ply toilet paper. Really (?!?). I thought single ply was only for public schools and prison. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The fan light didn't work either. The hall light between the bathroom and master bedroom was shorted out. There was no extra Kleenex or toilet paper in the room. We ran out of Kleenex. Our room was on the third floor, southwest corner, so we could clearly hear all the Flamingo traffic all night long. The king mattress in the master bedroom was pretty worn out. My partner and I kept crashing in the middle all night long.

I really liked the room we stayed in. Especially because it had a full size fridge, coffee maker, microwave and stove.

The property itself and the staff were great.

If you want to be in an extended stay or suite that has no supplies to clean the dishes with then this is the spot. If you ask for dishwashing liquid or a sponge, they charge for those. Never been to a place that doesnt provide dish soap or a sponge and never going back.

The staff is amazing greeted us and help the best they could. Rooms werent so good. Suppose to be non smoking but first room hallway smelled strong of cigarettes. Ac was throwing hot air instend of cold. Asked the staff if we could switch rooms. Wasnt a big deal. But when we got our other room smell was better but mattresses were badly stained. Hair on our pillowcase. Room overall seemed very run down.

Dog urine was left in the hallway despite alerting staff. While waiting in the lobby, someone walked in with a pitbull covered in blood. Sketchy place/area

This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. The property is loud, smells heavily of smoke, and falsely advertises breakfast that is not available. To make matters worse, there were no blankets on the bed, which made it extremely uncomfortable to even sleep. This place does not meet even basic standards, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Should have provided the clean bathing towel to the guess. The bathing towel in my bathroom was very dirty, uncleaned.

I can hear people talking from the hallway through the door, but maybe quieter than the casino hotel (?) because fewer people come in and out of the room in the middle of the night, but smells xxx everywhere (well, ... it's Vegas). Overall, we liked the stay, and Target, grocery stores, restaurants, and the Vegas Strip are close by; however, it's in a sketchy area.

There was an unpleasant odor in the room upon arrival. The staff at check-in was very courteous. After calling the front desk regarding the odor, the managers of the hotel personally came to my room to investigate and provided a solution.

Staff Though the room was somewhat clean I would not stay here again. Being charge an insane price for a wash-cloth was ridiculous. Always a buzzing sound and hearing every single noice that was at the hall to hearing the noice the upstairs ppl made. Deciding on taking the stairs and noticing a space being use to store construction items blocking half way to the exit door.

The only good thing bout this place is the kitchen..i refer to it as section 8 motel..literally right next to a welfare office..awful experience

Hotel is in the middle of renovation. The room was not mopped as our white socks instantly turned black. The fridge was dirty as well as the shower and the bathroom sink. The bathroom sink was black and had mold all over it. Definitely not a place to stay with kids. The rooms are definitely not as described. All the furniture is old and the beds are not confortable at all.

They will charge you $25 each for any stain even if it was already there and even charge you if you dirty the floor matt in the restroom. Upon checking in, there was a couple that they were trying to charge and accusing to have left what they called “blood or coffee stain” on their sheet. It was a scene as they couldn't provide a higher up to speak about the problem, but knowing that they charge for little stains, I brought in my own bed sheet and pillows to cover theirs. I did not even used any of their pillows but they still wanted to charge me $25 for a small stain on one of the pillow case that has already been stained! And $25 for dirtying the floor mat that you step on going in and out of the shower! Like they dont want you to use any of the things in the room. What kinda hotel is this, OCD HOTEL?! Seems like this is an ongoing problem with a lot of ppl. I would stay elsewhere if you want a stress free vacation.

I noticed the sign on the breakfast area and wanted to confirm the breakfast hour as clearly labeled on the door. The check-in person said, "We only have coffee for breakfast. No continental or hot breakfast." As we approached our room, I noticed the presence of a terrible smell. I found that it was coming from the stairwell across from our room. There was a huge collection of rotting garbage which must have been stored there for several days. And that wasn’t all! When I wanted to use the kitchen towel, it was dirty with a big black spot and hadn’t been cleaned. To top it off, the TV remote didn’t work. This hotel was overpriced, considering its filthy condition, amenities, and unsafe surrounding area. I have stayed in resort hotels which were similar in price, including resort fees. I won’t be staying here again. I want my money back.

Staff was friendly and the facility was clean. The bed was super uncomfortable. I would wake up every 2 hours from being uncomfortable and the hallways echo, making any noise loud.

I liked the idea of having a great vacation with my partner but instead of the great vacation starting off with a relaxing check in we started it with uncomfortable difficulties and a lack of care for our stay. In short to be honest I loved the idea they had showed off online as a budget friendly hotel with luxury and comfort but as soon as you park you see what you’re getting into. Starting with the kitchen in the room the sink was clogged with who knows what upon arrival, there were just random lost pieces of hairs everywhere. The toilet , the bath, the PILLOWS is what made me feel disgusted. I was charged a random 30 dollars by the way for an item I supposedly stole. I promise you when I tell you I searched my car and both me and my partners luggage just to make sure several times. I don’t understand how I was on top of charged an extra 100 I was charged 30 dollars for an item I don’t have. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain, even overnight. There was a constant knocking sound above us that kept us up all night. The room was quite large but they shoved the bed into the corner making it difficult to get out of bed on the far side when there was tons of room to move the bed.

The rooms are spacious. someone was getting arrested at like 5 am. Also, there was someone walking around yelling in the hallways.

Went to vegas for a friends wedding and stayed at Mainstay Suites one night and my family enjoyed the one night there. Beds we comfortable and everything seemed cleaned we enjoyed it

From the moment of arrival, safety and hygiene standards were clearly compromised. Aggressive, unleashed dogs in the hotel entrance and lobby created a deeply unsettling atmosphere, while front desk staff failed to acknowledge or address the situation. The first room assigned to us had not been cleaned at all. The second room contained a stained mattress and, most disturbingly, live bed bugs, which I personally reported with evidence to the front desk. Ultimately, my wife and I were forced to move rooms three times in a single night, long past midnight, carrying our belongings back and forth. Although one staff member on the night shift was polite and understanding, the overall experience was stressful, unhygienic, and wholly unacceptable. Instead of rest, we endured anxiety, exhaustion, and disappointment. I sincerely hope Expedia will take this matter seriously, as such conditions fall far below acceptable hospitality standards.

The staff was great. We did end up with a giant cockroach in our bathroom the first night though and the smoke alarm in our room randomly went off for no reason. The hotel itself was nice and appears to have been recently renovated. Nice and close to several different shopping options and a quick trip to the strip. The area was a bit questionable with lots of homeless around. Overall, I would stay here again.

They turned the power off for more than 5 hours. It was over 100 degrees that day.

They charge guest $25 for a wash cloth that had stains they felt would not come put if they washed it. $25 dollars!! For a small wash rag!!

New upgrades

Property bad customer service at reception. They seem to have no idea what they are doing and kept on having to go to the back office to ask for permission about everything whilst there was a long line at reception. I was told check in was at 3 pm when we arrived at 3.30 pm the room wasn’t ready. Had to wait an hour to get checked in.

No. Just no. Dump of a motel with sketchy clientele (no luggage, belongings in trash bags.) Booked for proximity to hospital for family emergency but ended up moving hotels because we felt unsafe even though it was non-refundable. Before the 2nd night, I asked if they could change the sheets on the bed since my sister was coming and my mom going home. They told me they only provide housekeeping once a week, but they would give me clean sheets. So for $364 per night I have to make the bed???? Seriously, I have stayed at luxury hotels on the strip for less. And in fact that was exactly what we booked for $199 a night instead of staying in this dump.

I booked a king size room and upon arrival was informed the hotel was oversold. I instead received a queen size bed at a discounted rate. Barking dogs.. ghetto room.. safe to say I was irritated. Room smells clean and disinfected.. but I would still never come back.

i booked it because it had a kitchen. i didn't want to have to go out for meals or snacks. everything was great. the tv choices could be better, since i don't do casinos for entertainment. i did my visiting during the day and would have liked tv to watch at night. instead, i had to read!! the room was large and comfortable.. next time, i will request a room away from the pool, which will be more quiet. otherwise, i was happy there and plan to return next year.

Hotel was adequate, and the room is indeed a suite. It was clean, and I was reminded of such with a wofty super chemical whoosh of cleanliness when I opened the room door. The bed and air conditioning worked, but were on the hard side and a little loud. Then again, the price was right in a pinch, and the front desk people were cool. Not the greatest location, in terms of security, but it does have easy access to Uber when cars drive up. And the Blueberry Hill Restaurant is across the street, which is divine! Be ready for steeper Uber charges if you need to go to the Strip. But if you have your own car, Las Vegas and environs are easily achieved.

This a great value hotel for regular folks. I gave 5 stars because the staff is friendly.

There were 4 people working the front desk but only one person checking people in. It took about 25 minutes to check in when it should have taken 5 minutes at the most.

I woke up to a major water leak coming through the bathroom light fixture. I could hear the room above was taking a shower and the waste was pouring into my bathroom. I was offered another room but at check out all they said was that they were renovating. Didnt even try to make up for that night.

Staff is very nice, very clean place, nice light parking lot, security guards, and safe measures all around, close to down town but far enough your away from traffic. If you’re coming for a quick visit/ business and don’t need much it’s a good place.

This hotel was disgusting. We did not stay as it was dirty,smelled of paint fumes. Do not stay there. Turned out to be a little expensive as we had to book another room somewhere else.😠

Great place for a few days. They have a full kitchen and space is a little tight.The hotel staff are very helpful, the one way to enter and exit of the hotel is great but the area isn't the best.there is also remodeling going on and a laundry facility on site.

We instsntly smelled mildew when we walked in the room. The AC unit was full of dust. There were bugs on the counter and running across the floor. We walked in and walked right back out.

Only issue i had is wifi. I was not able to connect throughout my 3 nights stay. Staff dont know how to resolve it and redirected me to talk to their service provider. On call, provider said we dont serve in Nevada, they are small company from kansas. :)

The service was horrible the place was dirty. No hot water and no blanket we covered in 2 flat sheets.

The wifi couldn't let me connect and it smells like poop and pee and armpits. The staff were looking at me weird acting like I was a bum.

I own a hotel. The property was recently taken over and they are still remodeling the rooms. Some rooms are not ready to rent out. Alot of the furniture needs to be replaced or repaired. They should just get new beds. Small things matter like painting the shower area, ceiling paint. House keeping needs to sweep under the bed, clean the bathroom mirror. I think in 6 months it will be better. The wifi and AC was good.

The room was clean. Fresh linens and bed cover. Decor could use refreshing, especially the carpet. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Free morning coffee was very good. Rates were very reasonable. Great breakfast place across the street.

The room smelled sour. The shower curtain dirty. Shower dirty hair everywhere. Mattress and sheets have stains…requested sheet change and the second set had stains. Dishwasher out of order. And little silver fishes crawling on the floor. Dogs need separate area of the hotel.

You get what you pay for: no free breakfast; no coffee in the rooms, and; no TV. I just assumed we had to pay extra to watch TV in our room. Coffee was available near the Lobby when the day shift arrived at the hotel. Also, there’s something wrong with the telephone because I couldn’t get a hold of the front desk.
