The hotel isn’t beachfront, but it’s a 5 minute walk to everything including the beach. For the price, it’s a great value!

Parking was great. Nice pool area. There was no microwave in our room, but they did have one downstairs by the pool area. It really wasn’t to my taste but the guest there all knew each other and they seem to enjoy

My sister and I were happy with this gem in the heart of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It is a great location, walkable to anything you'd want. The owner has kept an old property in pristine condition. Everything was clean and well kept. We had some additional requests that he also worked so hard to meet! We really enjoyed our stay!

Staff was great checking in. The room was clean, plenty of space. I like that there are screens on the windows for fresh air. Nice little fridge. A place to do laundry. Cool front came in, so didn't use the pools, but looked well maintained.

The staff is what made our stay so amazing! This hotel is owned by a very accommodating, friendly family, they made us feel right at home. We also loved the proximity to everything! Very short walk to the beach, many restaurants, a park & much more. The pools & hot tub were also very clean and relaxing. I cant wait to come back & stay here again :)

Arthur at the front office was courteous and professional. Our check in was a breeze and when we requested a late check out, we were able to do so. The room was neat and clean and all of the amenities worked well. The bathroom, in particular the bathtub, could do with replacing. We would happily stay here again and would recommend the Shore Haven In to our friends.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, outdated rooms from the 70s and things falling apart in the rooms, place was gross, BEWARE !!

The bed linens were very fresh and clean However we can tell the cleaning staff does the bare minimum..floors and beds were great..the headboards were filthy..as was the window sill in the bathroom I dud not want to put my showering toiletries on it And the faucet in the sink had dried up soap bubbles and the bar soap was opened and used.. But we were glad the beds were clean

Had an amazing stay for Fourth of July weekend. Quiet and super relaxing. Walking distance to the beach as well.

Perfect get away for a family in search of novelty vintage feel. For gen X who want to remember their childhood vacations this is the perfect spot. We come once a year and absolutely adore this hidden gem.

Great little old style hotel. Two nice pools and a jacuzzi. Gas grills available as well as stove in room. You can walk to the beach as well as many restaurants & bars. Very nice manager at check in!

Any time we come to Lauderdale By The Sea, my husband and I stay at Shore Haven. Its a tucked away gem with excellent staff who treat us like family. Its walking distance to beach and restaurants.

The Shore Haven resort inn is very clean and well maintained. The room, pool, and grounds are excellent! Exactly what I expected for a high quality motel. The owners/managers are very friendly, extremely accommodating, and helpful with any request.

If you have young playful children don’t stay here! Loud laughing, running, jumping children are not easily tolerated by the older managers. The location of this motel is great but the quiet time is too early for families with children. The majority of guests are cordial senior citizens not upset by the playfulness of children during the evening hours but the Shore Haven oldest managers feel otherwise. The grounds are kept clean but the servicing of the rooms is minimal. There was no change of towels and sheets during my daughter’s 3 night stay and I received one set of clean towels during my 3 night stay. Also, the garbage pails were never emptied in either of our rooms during our 3 night stay. Other than these complaints this property (which I heard is for sale) is in an ideal location, close to restaurants and souvenir shops.

Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Seemed willing to go above and beyond. Location was perfect. Even though the property itself is somewhat dated and is totally adequate it was very clean. One heated pool and one non-heated pool and a hot tub. Would definitely stay there again.

I am still going to try to get at least half of my money back because that was ridiculous and that place needs to be torn down or renovated.

Location was extremely convenient to Downtown restaurants and shops along with the beach. Rooms are very outdated and weathered but sheets and bathroom were clean. If you want a no frills place to stay that wont entirely break the bank then this is it.

The room wasin good shape, TV had something to be desired. Staff was excellent. Would certainly stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying here for 1 week. Very close walk to the beach and looking forward to going back in the future. The plants (we got free coconut!) pool , BBQ and jacuzzi were a hit.

The owners of Shore Haven were very hospitable! We were arriving after the front desk closed so they made arrangements for us to be able to get into our room. They were very helpful and let our family park at the facility while we walked to the beach which saved a parking fee. We will definitely be going back to Shore Haven!

Great little place! Definitely budget friendly and close enough to the beach, but the rooms do have rugs and older type furniture, so if that’s not your thing then splurge a little more, but it really is a can’t beat price for a very convenient and and confortable spot

We had a wonderdul short stay in this property... very short walk from the main beach, shopping, restaurants. Property was clean and room well appointed, including lovely patio tables & chairs to relax or eat by the pool. Arthur and his father were very helpful and accomodating...we would not hesitate in going back for another vacay stay.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. The room I had this stay was totally gross..It needs a major overall from top to bottom.

We arrived early, no problem we have a room you can have and you can stay until 230, no extra charge. Pool fantastic. Rooms outdated but clean. Very friendly staff. I haven't been handed a actual key in a long long time lol

The exterior (pools, plants and flowers) are beautiful! I’ve never seen orchids growing so perfectly in nature- very impressed! There are two pools, and a hot tub which was not hot while we were there. The owners, a married couple, are kind and helpful. They have their hands full with three buildings! They do not have beach towels so be sure to bring one (or you can buy two for $12.99 next door). Laundry is on site. The rooms are dated- think 90s. If you’re a clean freak this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you are a low to moderate maintenance person- this is a wonderful family owned feel at a price point you can’t beat. You really don’t need a car here either. I would stay again, property is relaxed. I saw some reviews about loud people and smoking a lot- I didn’t experience this at all.

Great value and friendly owner.

The floor on arrival was visibly dirty, dirt on the floor. The base of the beds were both water stained and smelled musty. We dropped something behind the mini fridge and underneath it was filthy. Each day the smell was worse.

If you like loud people chain smoking cigarettes and cigars with no consideration for anybody,people sounding like Louis Griffin screaming their heads off early morning till night than this is the place for you!

location was just right to relax

This property is in a great location . It is need of a lot of renovations . It needs new appliances , and washrooms at the least . Owner was very nice and the cleaner was asking if we need anything she would get it for us . Parking was good . I did read reviews about the lovely gardens but I never did see them . Pool water was very cold .

We spent 2 weeks at Shore Haven and really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, close to the beach and pier. The staff is extremely welcoming. We plan to return next year!

Nice quiet property with excellent staff. Our flight was delayed and they allowed us to extend our checkout time which was a big help.

I have stayed at Shore Haven multiple times. It is in the perfect location. It is a short stroll to the beach, near multiple great restaurants, within walking distance. Two pools, 1 heated and a hot tub are attractive features. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Most of the rooms have full kitchenettes. Don't be surprised that there is no room service daily. You must ask for it, including requesting towels. But all requests get immediate attention. Something that may both some, the traffic on North Ocean Drive can be annoying at times. It does not disturb sleep.

The Shorehaven is located in a great location. Although a little dated, the property is in reasonable condition. The GM is a gentle and very nice man; he was very helpful.

I have come here every year for almost five years now. I’ve never had a complaint whatsoever. I love the family who runs the business, and they work so hard to keep this vintage hotel looking lovely and clean. I won’t stay anywhere else. There is a beach 1 block away, stores a half a block away, and restaurants all within walking distance of 100-200 feet. I love the Shore Haven Resort Inn, because it has a very good price for the comfort that I get. It’s older and not modern, but if you’re looking for a place to rest your head, swim in two very clean and refreshing pools, and also sit back and relax in a bubbly hot tub, then this is your hotel. PS: You can walk to everything, or catch a bus, taxi, Uber, or Lyft to many wonderful dining and shopping areas.

They had a broken water pipe and failed to tell us when we checked in no water pressure. We discovered this after the office was closed. That terrible on the management part. Told them about it at checkout they didn't care because the owner had my money already.

I would return if I knew that the property was cleaner.

I decided to book this hotel, based on the reviews. It was not as review said the room was very dark dingy coffee pot was dirty, leftover coffee, filter, basket, one single cup was dirty no spoons, or anything like that. Had no room service ever I believe they’re new owners who aren’t very familiar with technology, nor I believe they weren’t very friendly. They were kind of dismissive.

They let us in early and let us stay till our flight left. Will definitely go back again! Very walkable.

I needed a last minute stay near Lauderdale by the Sea. The owners were friendly and hard working. Although this is an older place it is very clean. Easy access to Lauderdale by the Sea and beach.

Conveniently located to restaurants and the beach.

I didn't like that they advertise a hot tub on premises, but failed to mention that is was not functional. Also, the decor is from the 1950's. They did have a coffee maker, but provided no coffee. The only good thing about this Inn was the location.

The owners are so laid back. They'll work with you on check in and check out times.

The owners here are very hands on the property and really care a lot about your experience. The grounds were awesome with 2 pools. Hot tub that was actually hot, and grills to use. The room was really nice accept the beds were a bit uncomfortable and very outdated, but it was nice having a kitchen. The downtown area is super close and walkable distance. Parking was available and very convenient. I would definitely stay there again.
