Our cabin was the perfect setting for our overnight stay! We were located close to the pond, and we loved listening to the frogs as we fell asleep at night. The room was spacious and very clean. Staff were welcoming and helpful in getting us familiar with the property and all of the perks that are offered.

One of the biggest disappointments was the breakfast situation. The breakfast advertised at the main office was not actually included or available as expected, and the alternative offered was $25 per adult for food quality comparable to a standard Holiday Inn continental breakfast. For the price of the stay, we expected a much higher level of service and amenities. The location is beautiful if your goal is simply to be immersed in nature, but overall the experience did not justify the expense. At this stage, if you are primarily looking for a nature getaway, you may honestly be better off camping or choosing a more established property nearby.

We stayed at the Rookery (a bunkhouse) with a group of friends for Mother’s day weekend, and we loved it there! A huge house with everything we needed! We enjoyed walking around the resort to a river, pool and hottub really helped to relax after a long day hiking, the office had a store with all the necessities and the coffee shop by the road had really good coffee! Grotto bar didn’t have any snacks/food items left by 8pm (works till 9 tho), Kingfisher restaurant has a really bad rep so we haven’t even try going there for breakfast. So we had to go get food in town which was a bit annoying but still okay

Towering pines, frog song from little ponds, bird watching, hot tub/pool...all set next to a babbling river & towering snow capped mountains. Yes it is that beautiful. Not to even mention the staff they are the heart of the resort, the restaurant & bar are cozy & excellent quality...take a moment & stroll the organic garden & exceptional grounds & see fine art all around you. The room? The bed was soft & the sheets will change your life. The water pressure was intense in the best way. You don't need a TV in the room don't be foolish. I have not explored the spa but believe me I will return to find out

The location is good and very close to town. The swimming pool and hot tub are nice, but the pool is not heated well. The pet policy is very strict and not very flexible. We traveled with three pets (two large dogs around 70 lbs and one small 7 lb dog), but we were not allowed to stay together because the policy only permits two pets per room with no exceptions. We were willing to upgrade to a larger room or suite if needed, but were told the limit applies to all room types. We were even suggested to book separate rooms, which wasn’t practical for a weekend getaway. In the end, we had to let two of our dogs sleep in the car (we have a Tesla and were able to keep the temperature controlled, but this was still not ideal). To make things worse, we were charged a fee for all three pets even though only two were allowed. We had to dispute the extra charge the next morning after noticing it. Overall, not a very pet-friendly experience for travelers with multiple pets.

Since we visited at the end of February, the pool was still closed for the winter, but the hot tub was spacious and warm. The parking situation was a bit unique; we parked in a separate lot and walked about five minutes with our luggage to reach the cabin. It wasn't a long walk, but it could be a challenge for those with young children or mobility issues. Overall, the property was beautiful, surrounded by trees and mountains with a nice paved pathway running through it. We will definitely be back!

Another outstanding visit to Sleeping Lady. This is our 4th visit over the last 5 years, it’s become cozy tradition for us. The outdoor, mountainside hot tub really stood out this trip. The stars were so bright and stargazing from a hot tub is something everyone should experience! The cabins were fairly clean, definitely comfortable, and the staff welcoming. Check in and check out was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. However my room was freezing, they had one small white heater on the ceiling which we blasted and one heater in case of emergency. We maxed out the white heater and woke up cold, I had to turn on all the towel heaters and run the shower to warm up. The room was also quite dirty. It looked clean but after walking around in my white socks I noticed orange and brown stains that came from the floor (to which we took our shoes off upon entering). The non stop grip in the tub was stained, and hair dryer also had hair coming out of the back which was something I noticed and remembered. These are minor cleanliness things, however it was especially noticed because of the price of the hotel per night.

The cabin we stayed in was cute, clean, and the layout worked great for us. We traveled with our teenage daughter who took over the bunk beds and we had the king. We went during peak visiting near Christmas so a lot of the restaurants had too long of a wait, so we were able to make an egg breakfast in the little kitchenette. The scenery is very pretty. The lighting at night was pretty bad, and the numbers for the cabins aren't visible.

There was a power cut in the area and there was no heat, hot water, phone signal or wifi. We just stayed one night and left. We arrived around 2:00 am of 12/9/2025, having arrived from a 5-hour flight and then driving for 2 hours to Leavenworth. I travelled with 1 large suit case and 3 smaller ones. I was given one map to look for our room (surprised about this). I wasn’t expecting a long trek into the dark unknown of the property. It is not described in the hotel’s Expedia that rooms are actually huts across a vast land, and that you have to do trek outdoors carrying your luggage. It was so dark and rainy and the staff did not provide assistance carrying our luggage and finding our room. (It is not a 4- or 5-star hotel but at least I was expecting assistance to be offered since it was so late at night and it was rainy, not to mention that the unloading zone is a few more yards away from the guest office, making the trek longer towards our room). I had to go round-and-round across the property in the middle of a rainy and freezing night looking for our room. I got lost several times because it was so dark and the signs are so small and difficult to see, before I called the office to ask for directions. No signs on the walkways where the rooms are located. Then I had to go back to the unloading zone to fetch my family and the rest of our stuff. To my further dismay, there was no drinking water provided in the room. We just slept it off, only to be awaken by noisy neighbors with a barking dog. Overall, very inconvenient depending on your family’s needs, and don’t expect much assistance.

I issued these concerns directly to the hotel but received no response. The door to our cabin had a broken handle and lock, there was dog hair all over our room, the sheets did not fit the beds, and many more little things. For $400+ a night we expected something much nicer. The restaurant was great though!

For the price, this should have been much better! No place to put towels and clothes to stay dry (was raining) near the hot tub. Wifi was more off than on. Broken fan knob in bath, so it ran constantly. Dangerously steep ladder. One tiny sink for washing, brushing teeth, in same area as making coffee and tea. No soap in dispenser. One sink when it sleeps FIVE?? No place to sit other than beds. Very cramped. Can't imagine a family in it.

We stayed for one night. The resort was very clean. Loved the room. Customer service in the lobby for check in was great. Very suprised by how quiet it was there, which made for a very relaxing stay. The only reason I don't give it an excellent rating is because of our experience at the Grotto. We went in for one drink. There was only 2 other couples so it wasn't very busy. There was only 1 worker (my receipt said her name was Dolly), and she provided horrible service. Honestly, we thought she was on something by the way she acted. She couldn't remember what we ordered and ended up delivering our drinks to another couple. When we went to pay it took us 20 mins with her bc she couldn't figoure out what she was doing; quoted us 3 different prices on our total. It was very bizarre, consideringg the rest of our experience at this resort was to us top notch. We went straight to the front desk to express concern. The young man working listening to us, but we could tell he couldn't do anything about it, nor do we think he understood the gravity of when we said "she needs help". He instructed us to leave a review after checkout (link that was sent to us directly from the resot did not work for me to do this). At check out the next morning, the gal check us out asked about our stay. Again, we stated everything was great except the Grotto. All she did was say "oh, well I hope you still come back". Training needs to be given to employees on how to handle guest complaints/issues.

Great trip for Oktoberfest. The cabin was so cute but very tiny with all the beds. The amenities were great. I do love soap dispensers as long as they are kept clean. Our cabin had some dirty used soap on them. It was kind of off putting. The nespresso, tea kettle and fluffy robes were wonderful. The beds were not very comfortable. Both my husband and I woke up sore but the comforter was very soft and inviting. Its too far out of town to walk but shuttles were provided which was wonderful! Id stay here again, overall a great place and beautiful grounds. Safe, clean and in the outdoors.

The loft rooms were cozy, perfectly comfortable, had luxurious bedding, super soft robes, a Nespresso machine, fridge, and towel warming racks. Beds were on the firmer side, but the sheets were as soft as butter. Beautiful grounds. Store inside of the office has free & fresh coffee, tea, hot chocolate. They had beer/wine for purchase in the gift shop. Icing in the cake was that they had a cat who lives in the office!

A unique gem in the pine forest. It’s setup like a summer camp where each pod of rooms have a center space like a babbling brook or lush greenery. Rooms are cozy and nice with paved trails through the property. A huge bonus for convenience is the restaurant/bar, especially after a long day of hiking or floating on the river. This was our second visit and the only place we want to stay. We love this resort for its beautiful setting, the natural surroundings, the pool area, the robes and peaceful atmosphere. We were there on a warm night and the AC unit couldn’t keep up so adding a fan to move the air around would be helpful. We ordered pizza at the grotto along with a dozen other guests and waited a very long time. Turns out the pizza is made off site and delivered and the place where it was made waited to group all of the orders together so they only needed to drive out once. Some pizzas were cold. If you are going to offer pizza, please find a way to cook it on site. All said, we will be back again and again!

Our stay was ok. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy. There are no televisions in the rooms, that would have been nice to know ahead of time. Also, no iron or ironing board provided so make sure your clothes are prepared ahead of time. The bathroom sink is outside of the bathroom and is also the counter that holds the coffee maker and supplies which seems unsanitary as it is all on a vanity top of about 30”. We had a mini fridge which we didn’t need, but it wasn’t working anyway. This property is set up like a summer camp but requires quiet. Good for retreats and meditation, but if you have rambunctious littles this is probably not optimal. If guests complain about you making noise they will charge you for any lost revenue.

This is such a unique property! I loved that it was set up like a camp with all the conveniences of a hotel. The buildings were positioned to take advantage of the terrain and stunning views. The art provided surprises at every turn. I appreciated the quiet setting just a short drive from the touristy bustle of Leavenworth.

We booked three rooms in this beautiful nature have even that was advertised as a peaceful top quality customer service resort. It is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t feel like I can return though ever again because apparently there’s a concert venue here also and I didn’t pay nor did I sign up to attend a concert that blasted through the forest, making it impossible to relax and listen to the frogs in the evening and the wind through the trees. Instead, there was screeching from the concert venue coming through the forest. I wasn’t able to just enjoy the fountain outside our window and just stare up at the stars and dive into my own thoughts and enjoy nature. When I asked for another blanket, also apparently they don’t have extra blankets so you get what you get. The customer service person thought it would be OK to just offer a couple extra sheets. Thank goodness one of our other parties had an extra blanket in their room that they didn’t need so definitely not the top quality, peaceful exquisite disconnected experience that they are advertising.

Fantastic getaway close to the center of Leavenworth. The main issue is that the O’Grady’s restaurant is closed - food options are very sparse. The reason to stay here is the setting. The resort is situated in a sheltered valley with towering tree covered hills all around. It snowed when we stayed and that, in addition to the fact it was just prior to Christmas, made it feel magical. It’s also several miles away from Leavenworth so feels isolated in a good way. If you’re looking for a budget friendly winter getaway that feels luxurious, this is the place for you. My only issue was with the room itself. There was no TV and only one chair so it was difficult to find places for all of our stuff. If you have kids, bring stuff for them to do in the downtime, but this was a minor complaint- there’s so much to do (hiking, activities, dining, etc). We’ll definitely be back

The location was beautiful. It was our first time in Leavenworth and we loved being out by the mountains but only a 9 minute drive from the village. Our little cabin was super cute too but found it odd was no tv. Also found it odd there weren’t people around the resort, we hardly saw anyone. We felt there were so many missed opportunities for there to be fun activities in the big rec building or the restaurant but everything was very quiet and dead. The restaurant had very limited hours and offered a very basic bland breakfast for a high price. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Felt this property has so much potential and we hope they up their game so they stay in business but still had an enjoyable experience.
