The room was clean but it smelled musty and like stale cigarettes. The hotel needs a serious upgrade. The air conditioner was loud, tile cracked in the bathroom floor, and the faucet was loose. The water pressure is low and it seems like there are permanent residents that smoke just outside the room which seeps into the other rooms. The location was great!

The 1st front desk clerk was nice and helpful, but the 2nd one (1230 am) clerk was rude and never looked up when I came down to ask a question. Had to go downstairs since the phone in the room was not working and no one answered when I called from my cell. Not only did the phone not work neither did the TV. The only reason I did not leave and find another hotel is because I was exhausted from driving all day. Would not recommend this hotel

Stayed two days, the hot breakfast was lousy both days. Eggs were not fresh and had no flavor. Sausage was greasy and not fully cooked. Biscuits, while brown on top were not cooked inside. I threw it in the trash and ate across the street. Everything else about the hotel was fine.

The rooms were very clean The hotel wasn't full but my room was next to the road with traffic noise. A security light shined through the curtains all night long. The breakfast buffet was mediocre but the eggs were and coffee were horrible.

The room itself was also lacking—there were no doors on the closet and the bathroom did not have any shower gel provided. Another inconvenience is the pool location. It is not inside the main building—you have to exit the hotel and walk through the parking lot to access it, and it was also closed during our stay. Overall, the experience could have been much better with improved service, hospitality, and attention to basic amenities.

The day time staff was very friendly, night staff not much personality but most people are asleep anyway. Laundry facility is one stackable set so it took me 4 hours to do 4 loads and I ended up until 1:30 am because I waited until everyone else was hopefully done using the machine. Pool was closed for “ season” but it was in the mid 80’s all week so I’m not sure when season ends and the pool opens but mentioning just so warm weather travelers know. Gym has a few things in it that are very outdated and no weights so we ended up running circles outside instead but there is a planet fitness up the road if you have a membership. Beds and pillows were comfy and clean :) Breakfast was decent, multiple hot and cold food choices and a pretty neat warm beverage/coffee digital machine. It was only a few minutes from downtown. We visited Jacob’s Fork and took a day trip up part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and loved the views at the first few overlooks. Also took a trip to Linville Caverns. Everything touristy is about 40mins to 1.5 hours but everything was a decent drive back and forth so the hotel was a good location :) We didn’t have any issues so I give the hotel a 4 star rating and we would stay here again if visiting family again.

Was very easy to add my pet to the stay after booking on line days before. Was an issue at check in but was resolved quickly and advised there would not be any issues later for the issue. There was a problem with the tv however they came up right then and determined it was unplugged. It worked however the channels did not match to the guide maybe due to just being plugged back in. Very friendly and would stay again.

Reception desk was unattended which kept three-parties waiting for over 15-miutes as we called for assistance. When the clerk did arrive, she was short with the guests and really not a pleasant person to be around. Room was noisy because of the heater/SC motor and the shower did not have hot water...the s ink did. Went to breakfast at 7AM and there wasn't much set up so it meant a walk to Waffle House for breakfast. Hall and stairwells were extremely dirty, mud and such all over, and had a foul odor. Train tracks run right behind the hotel and are very loud.

Some of the wear and tear on the doors/ bed / nightstands. Items were in need of an upgrade or replacement.

I needed a budget friendly stopover after a late medical appt in Charlotte so I wasn't looking for 'fancy'. Front desk was kind, responded quickly when I alerted them I would likely be a late-ish arrival. While the facility itself needs some updating, especially privacy curtains/drapery, my room seemed very clean. Bathroom, furniture, and linens were spotless and smelled clean. The pet fee was very reasonable compared to most hotels. Breakfast is basic; cereals, not so fresh muffins, waffles. Don't expect 4-star breakfast. Dog walk area has no bags and no one is cleaning it up so be careful where you step! The hotel is on a busy road, and not great insulation, so it is rather noisy even at night. If you are a light sleeper you may want ear plugs.

Curtains were filthy and did not close properly. The bathroom was tiny, and the toilet sat so low that it was very difficult to get up off of it. Not good for older people.

Convenient, easy to find, adequate parking, close to everything. The breakfast buffet is not as good as in the past. Specifically, the sausage gravy now is like wallpaper paste, and the breakfast danish were old and starting to go stale. We don't mind paying extra to stay at Quality Inn, because they provide breakfast with the room, but, unless you're crazy about waffles, there's not much else available.

Decent room for the price. The heat was on rather high when we arrived so the room was very stuffy at first. Bathroom vanity was very nice, but a there's a few centimeters of visible mold growing around the top of the shower/tub combo. Staff were polite but were never present at the front desk, always had to be called from another part of the motel. Would probably stay again in a pinch for the same (sale) price.

The ADA room has a 2 person jacuzzi with the shower inside it. Definitely not handicap accessible. Nice staff. breakfast was not much.

Just last week rosches were found and i got stuck with no refund but i was not staying there and also smow over the mountain. I would like a refund if possible

I picked this hotel based on close proximity to my venue. This hotel is poorly cleaned. I had to switch rooms twice due to the rooms being dirty and poor sink drainage.

To begin with, the toilet seat was very loose. It probably needed a bolt to be tightened. The desk clerk said she would report that to maintenance. The breakfast was underwhelming. On Saturday there were no eggs at all, hard boiled or scrambled (appears they ran out during the first hour the area was opened up). On Sunday the eggs were gone until we requested some from the attendant. They were unedible due to being very dry and powdery, indicating they were "powdered eggs". There were no "diabetic friendly" options anywhere in the dining area, e.g. whole wheat bread or cereal, low-no sugar danish or muffins, sugar free/reduced juices.

Almost everything was great. Only thing the lady at check in on Friday was so unpleasant. She had a very unpleasant face that made us feel so unwelcomed that I honestly wanted to turn around and leave. I was surprised as for the comments about staff being very nice. The following days i must say was a different story, from Saturday morning and on was wonderful. Ladies at front desk were so nice. Overall place is very clean and beds are so comfortable. The breakfast was nice as well.

I've been coming to this property for years. Staff is always friendly -front desk, breakfast cook and housekeeping -all of them are nice and helpful. Hotel is always clean. Linens and mattresses are newer. Bathrooms need a facelift but water is super hot and it is clean.

Older but clean hotel, needed a last minute hotel for a night and this was great for a quick stay.

We went online with Expedia and it had a good rating at 7.8. When we pulled up my wife would not go in. So we left and stayed at the Hampton In down the street. I would not book here. The pool was empty and people hanging out in back that were homeless. Large floodlights on side of building.

This motel is in a convenient location, they have all the standard amenities in the rooms, and a good, compete breakfast. When we first checked in, no one was manning the front desk and it took quite a while to raise someone

Given these observations, we felt it was not a safe or appropriate environment and chose to leave immediately. We canceled our stay and drove 20 minutes to another hotel in Gastonia. The front desk staff member who assisted us with the cancellation was understanding and professional, which is the only reason we are rating the staff service positively. Unfortunately, we were still charged for the full night despite leaving right after check-in. We cannot recommend this property under any circumstances and strongly advise others to avoid it.

The place was very dirty very dirty. Disgusting people were arguing and screaming outside. Pretty sure I witnessed several drug deals and a hooker. Should have just left in the middle of the night.

The parking lot was always pretty crowded and spaces were limited, but that's understandable. There is a $200 cash deposit needed for the stay. I didn't mind it, but wasn't aware of it beforehand. The lady checking me in was pretty nice about it. They do give you a receipt and you get it back once they verify that you followed the rules of no smoking. Overall pleasant stay.

The room was very dirty, and the outside was covered in cigarette buds. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Holes in our curtains. Overall a bad experience. We cut our stay by two days because of these issues.

The main issue I had with this hotel was on Friday evening, the owners where outside our room with load music and talking till after 10 P.M. we contacted the front desk and they told us they did not want to talk to them for fear of loosing their job..

I would definitely not recommend staying her with small children. I should have known when we went to use a luggage dolly upon checking in that we should have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. The dolly had a very strong odor of sweat and dirty gym socks, not to mention the wheels were more decorative than operational. The pool was closed our entire stay and the room was so gross you wouldn’t want to hang out in it for long. The pillows are the size of throw pillows - not that it really matters because you’ll be up all night wondering if something is crawling on you. There was a bench in our room that should have just been thrown away rather than kept as the pleather material was scratched, shredded and peeling. The chair in our room was stained with god only knows and the one time my daughter sat in it - she placed towels down first. The chair at the desk is broken - if you sit all the way back in it expect to go for a ride to the ground. At one point my son dropped his sippy cup on the floor and when I went to pick it up I notice what can only be described as red vomit under the bed. The other hotels in town are worth trying. Save yourself a sleepless night and book one of them! I will say the only positive - breakfast was decent.

We left a few hours after arriving. The room was filthy and furniture and walls were in poor condition. Shower also did not work when we attempted to turn it on. We felt very unsafe as people were gathering in the parking lot and staring/making comments as we tried to enter and exit the hotel. Inside hallways and outside of hotel smelled like weed. Both times we visited the lobby to try to talk to someone, no one was at the front desk. We just decided to leave for our safety without trying to stick around late at night to talk to someone. Disappointed in the hotel and in Expedia.

The majority of the staff were very friendly. One staff gave us a hard time when we asked for paper plates when we ordered out. Place was clean and housekeeping came in daily. Will return again if need be.

my wife and i thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet.. tasty and great selections. .. hotel was very nice but you could tell well used.. only items to note is the toilet would continue to run every so often unless you wiggled the handle and my same complaint as with most hotels.. all hotels this day and age should have a detachable shower head and not just the out dated fixed one..

The room for a short time. Had those things been better I would have definitely rated this hotel higher.

Everything was good with the stay. Very quite and employees were friendly. Only downfall would be the mattresses we had were hard. If anything at all maybe nicer mattresses or even put mattress toppers.

Train noice all night long and people do not respect make noises and seat outside in chairs talking and drinking then fire trucks have to come the alarm went off .

Right after we went to bed, someone tried to come into our room. He just came to the wrong door and was harmless, but it scared us to death.

I liked the city and the facility, the only bad thing was that my shower in Rm#209 was hard to turn on, it wanted me pull on the round part of the faucet in the tub, and maybe it was stuck or rusted but I don't know, I had to take a shower in my aunt's room next door when I wanted to bathe. The breakfast was excellent and staff was friendly and the place was clean I give it 8/10

First of all I found a roach crawling across the TV stand which I killed. Then I saw a spider on the night stand which disappeared before I could kill it. The bed blanket was full of holes, a few which appeared as cigarette burns. The bathroom door is literally coming apart at the bottom. On the evening of June 5 I called the front desk and requested a wake up call for 10:30 Tuesday morning. My sister's funeral was that day and needed the call to insure I was awake. I NEVER got the call. This was my third stay at this hotel and most likely my last.

Staff is always nice and welcoming. We were put into a room near the fire door and it slammed loudly. We propped it open, and they also propped it open when we complained. However, the noise stopped, what about the safety concern of the fire door? My husband, an mechanical engineer, says all they need to do is place a "soft closer" on the door for it to be safe with the fire code and the people in the rooms next to it will not hear it slam all night. We love staying in this hotel when visiting. It is clean, convenient and service is excellent.

The Hotel was good but a little rundown. Carpets had holes in them. Toilet seat had a divot in it that showed the wood on the seat. Bed frame was not set which caused an accident. However, the staff was open and welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful.

Parking lot was partially blocked by a billboard that was sitting in the lot, made parking and exiting hard.
