    Holiday Inn Express is usually my go to place to stay for traveling. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast this time because I had an early flight.

    Close to downtown. Hotel was clean Uncomfortable bed. My room was attached to the maintenance area and there was loud machinery being used at 7 in the morning. Missing latch lock to room next door. Didn't feel secure.

    It's been about 6 years since last stay here, much has changed, looks to ran by different folks without much care for property maintenance or service. To start, room 113 had a door with worn hinges, dragged against upper door frame and deadbolt wouldn't lock due to sagging door. Shower curtain torn and uneven, drain plug removed and laying on tub, light fixture damaged. Parking lot in disrepair as well. Had room key problems making me go back to front desk, cleaning staff unableto understand Englishwhen i requestedtheir help. Desk staff not very concerned when reporting the inoperable door lock as I checked out. Noticed that hotel was low on guests as I pulled out earlier Sunday morning, but neighboring hotel was full. I've stayed here maybe 4 times before years ago, seems like new owners don't care about their property.

    Supposed to be free shuttle. Called to let them know we arrived. What i could understand he said we didnt have reservation at the Inn and hung up. Called back said to ho to a spot but would cost $8.00 per person. Waited for 30 min for shuttle and finally found out they were using a company instead. In the morning tried again shuttle gad 1 person going but was upset we didnt book ahead but they were going anyway.

    The hotel was very outdated. We were very tired from traveling and there was nothing to do in the area around the hotel so we were going to rely on the television for evening entertainment. The remote showed that they had Netflix and Prime but they had neither and the guide button did not work so you had to go channel by channel to see what was on and you didn’t know what you were watching. We had to go next-door to the Wyndham for dinner and I went down to look at the breakfast in the morning and it was very unappetizing so I ate a banana that we had bought the day before and my wife ate a danish that we had bought the day before. All in all a total waste of money.

    The hotel property was clean other than a pothole in the middle of the driveway entrance. Ice machine on the first floor was on the far side of the hotel and inconvenient. The front desk staff gentleman was unwilling and lazy to take an empty box that I requested to have thrown away since the trash cans outside were too small for it to fit in. Told me to go back to my room and leave it there when I was on my way out. for business. Does he know he is in the "hospitality" industry? I guess there's no hospitality at the Holiday Inns. He was also rude when I simply asked kindly IF they happen to have a corkscrew. I don't plan on returning to this hotel again. It's the management that needs to be trained better. Why give your customers attitude???

    Just minutes from the airport. Easy access to I-440 and other primary roads. Some reviews said it wasn't as clean and well kept as they expected, but my room was superb. Clean, modern, everything worked, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed. The only thing that needed work was the parking lot, a few potholes. Price is way less than the newer hotels in the vicinity of the airport. I've paid more for lesser accommodations that were miles from the airport. This is a real bargain. I had an early flight, so I couldn't try the breakfast. But I'm guessing it was up to the standards you expect at HI Express. Honestly, there wasn't a single negative. What's not to like about a clean, comfortable room perfectly located for a traveler?

    Hard to say First time I’ve been in a holiday inn that I don’t like, dirty, small rooms, nasty breakfast, milk was bad, eggs overcooked, not a good variety like they have at their other Holiday inn locations.

    Staff could not complete a simple request as providing the towels in the room, despite couple of reminders. The booking was for three individuals and the room was not set up for three. The shower was blocked resulting in a poor experience overall. Called the front desk regarding the shower drainage clogging, but there was no resolution. The fitness center was not operational.

    Pool was down. If we would have known the indoor pool was under maintenance we would have chose a different hotel. Air in the room barely blew and turned off half way thru the night so we woke up sweating. Half the food at the breakfast was stale and the lady that was taking care of the breakfast area was extremely rude.

    Compared to the breakfast at the Salem, IL location your breakfast was very poor. Even as a veteran, senior, and member of HIE we were told we weren't eligible for any discount. We were also required to give a $50 deposit for damages to a very shabby room. Stained carpet, water stains in bathroom as well as chips on walls (pictures taken and shown at checkout). This really isn't a location I can recommend.

    I liked how close it was to the airport. This made the early morning commute to the terminal easy and stress free. The room was clean and quiet. I had everything I needed after grabbing a quick bite for dinner. Left too early for my flight to be able to try the continental breakfast so I can't speak on that. I did not like having my room number on the parking pass that needed to be placed on my vehicle's dashboard. I was traveling alone and this made me uncomfortable. The lights in the bathroom were a little harsh. These two dislikes did not outweigh my positive experiences staying here.

    The front desk clerk was terrible. I inquired as to whether or not a package was delivered for me. At first, he denied that it was delivered. After I showed him the delivery picture, then he stated that it was delivered but locked away in an office that he didn’t have access to. I informed him that I had an early flight and asked if the office would be opened in time. He started screaming that he did not receive the package and the office wouldn’t be opened until 8am the next morning. I simply stated that the protocol needed to change. I have never been to a hotel where I had items and it was such a big issue. I have done this a number of times and the clerk would simply go to the holding room and retrieve the items. Even if there is a fee for the service. There was no need for his outburst.

    /fan didn't work, we were scared the fire alarm was gonna go off from the heat of the shower, we had to shower woth the door open! If we weren't so exhausted we would've left and got a different hotel but we had a very early flight and just gave up. This place is a literal poop hole. Not maintained and stinks! It's definitely no 3 star as stated!

    Room was nice and bed quite comfortable. However the rug was quite stained and curtain was drooping as not hung at the edge. Concrete side walk to the restaurant from HI Express was in bad shape and railings even worse. Front desk help weren’t exactly welcoming but got the job done. The Inn is old and in need a little TLC. However location and price were good and a selling point.

    This place looks like it has seen better days. The room was fine. It was clean and well put together. The pool was nasty. The fitness room was closed. It appears there was amenities at one time that no longer exist. The breakfast was good enough. The lady who managed the breakfast was very helpful and polite. There is a place in the main hotel up the hill to get drinks and food. Overall it was a good room to stay in for the price

    The room I was in had a hint of cigarette smell, and it's also possible there was at one point German roaches, because I could smell them. Them. However, it is also possible that what I smelled was German roach bait. I used to work for orkin, so I recognize the smell. It would be prudent for staff to check room 167.

    The room was clean, and the AC worked. The staff was friendly. The breakfast lady was very strict about breakfast not opening till 6:30 although everything was set up. The drain in the bathtub was very slow to drain so you ended up standing in ankle deep water.

    We had issues with check in, being told we didn't have a reservation. Then said our card had fail multiple times in the previous days as payment. Not true as nothing was wrong with the card. Finally checked us in saying they found what had happened and that wasn't our card. Got our room key and left for festival, upon returning to hotel my son opened our room to find a man half asleep in bed. We were then given another room which was comfortable but had a tile falling off at bathtub that looked like black mold behind it. Saturday we got up asked for no maid service except towels so we could shower after a music festival in 90°+ temps. Upon returning from festival we had no towels, we were told they didn't have towels it would be 8 am to get towels. Went down for towels at 8 am still no towels and was told it would be an hour. Decided to call Holiday Inn directly to get resolution for problems at property was given a claim number and customer service rep called hotel against my wishes ( i asked her to wait until we showered and were checking out) upon returning to lobby i was yelled at by owner/manager (whatever his position) because he was angry we reported the ridiculous service received here. He told we couldn't evshower we were to leave immediately or he was calling the police. He said he would refund our stay and when leaving and asked for the receipt showing reimbursement he refused and said he wasn't refunding anything. Said they did nothing wrong.

    The guy at the front desk is friendly and tries to fix the problem. However, our first room smelled like body odor, mildew, and mold. Then we get switched to another room and absolutely none of the outlets work whatsoever. We even looked for a switch that might control the outlets. Also, the website states that the pool is open when it is unfortunately closed.

    The building was poorly maintained and the shuttle from the airport was expensive. The pool was very dirty and the parking lot in disrepair. There were clearly short staffing issues. It is a budget hotel, and ultimately there was what we needed: a clean bed, a working shower, and a parking spot for our rental car. In addition, the location made it very easy to go to and from town (I recommend back roads instead of the highway). In addition, there is a Waffle House across the street. The service was great, and for the price was great for the quality of food.

    If I can save people from staying here at The Holiday Inn Express IHG near the airport from getting Bed Bugs I am going to do just that. That was my experience staying at this hotel and I tried to express the severity of my bites after I notice them the next morning and the hotel manager refused to speak to me after several attempts in trying to contact him to discuss the situation. We only communicated through email and after expressing to him of the bed bug I found after I was bit severely, he tried saying that myself and my two boys had trashed the rooms and when I say rooms, yes we stayed and got moved to another room, which I was on edge all night, but for not being familiar with the area, and having to get up for a tournament I had felt I had no choice but to move to another room, after leaving and emailing the manager about my stay, the manager then emailed me saying that they were considering tacking on a cleaning fee because they said both rooms we were in the one we were in the first night where I found the bug and the room we got moved to. The manager just didn’t want to compensate me whatsoever and so he tried to say that we had trashed both rooms. It was a ordeal trying to get some compensation for my troubles. Never have I had to experience anything like this. So, again if I can save anyone especially families from staying here.

    The cleanliness of the room was very poor. The floors were not vacuumed. The pool was murky and icy. The breakfast was poor as well. Staff yelled at people eating that they had to leave at 9:30 on the dot. This was literally yelled at everyone an hour before. Additionally, the eggs were very watery and had hair in them. The next day, the eggs were served in a red bucket. No, I did not eat them. The front staff did not pick up their phone, so a shuttle could not come to the airport. We ended up getting a rental. The poorest service and condition I have ever encountered. This makes me never want to stay at a holiday inn of any sort.

    The hotel itself is okay at best. For the price I expected a little nicer. There are very limited food options right next to the hotel besides a bar and a waffle house. My room was ok, but another guest was talking to staff about there room being covered in blood. When I checked in, I had 2 dogs, and i advised the desk clerk. When i advised him I asked about $25 for the pet fee and the clerk stated it was $35, but for me he would do $25. I thought this was very strange seeing as online it says $25 and the clerk made it seem shady. A different clerk, however did help with finding paper to print something, so that was positive. The parking lot was very well lit, but no cameras. The parking lot was also having some work done so was very bumpy. When checking out I got another random $50 charge that Im waiting to see what it turns out to be, but should never have happened. Overall, i give the hotel a 3 out of 5. Again, for the price it was a decent hotel that was a place to sleep for 8 hrs and leave. I would not want to spend multiple days here, but for someone traveling it is a hotel that isnt bug infested and has cold A/C woth good beds.

    We arrived late (about 2am) for a room to crash overnight on a long drive. I booked a room for 2 beds for a colleague and myself, and after a long check in process, the room only had 1 bed. I had to argue with the front desk concierge that the room assigned to us only had 1 bed, so he finally put us in a different room with 2 beds like I had booked. At this point, the AC would not work - I went back to the front desk to explain, but they assured me that the AC would eventually turn on. It did not. I will make a point to never book at this hotel in the future.

    I have stayed at this property a couple of years ago and it was acceptable. This stay however was awful. The facility smelled of mildew and once checked into the room I began to inspect the bed as I do at all hotels. ON TOP of the white bedspread was a BED BUG crawling. I could only imagine what was underneath the bed. I left the hotel and of course they refused a refund.

    We reserved a room weeks prior to overnight after arriving at the airport, to be picked up the next day for the ride home. I called the hotel for an airport shuttle when we arrived but was told my reservation had been canceled by a "third party". Travelocity still had my reservation so it's obvious the third party was their office. And since bad weather caused cancelation of flights and with all nearby hotels filling up fast they could get a much higher rate for the same room. So a reservation with a credit card on file but not yet charged is no guarantee that the hotel will actually honor it. This is the second time in a month that this has happened. Users beware.

    I shopped around many of the hotels near the airport. I generally far Holiday Inn Express from my previous good experience with them and their affordability. I called this Hotel specifically and asked if they had a free shuttle (many of the hotels close also offer free shuttle to and from airport), and they said YES. Upon arrival I learned that there was a $8 fee through a 3rd party shuttle service (not a lot of money, but annoying after being told it was free), had I known I would have chosen another hotel (liars!); the towels are very low quality, the kind you would get at the lowest tier hotels (certainly not a chain like Holiday Inn Express); all to say I would not stay at this hotel when similar priced hotels are next door.

    Ceilings very low in hallways and rooms (I'm only 5ft tall) Front desk staff not friendly, no greeting, seemed inconvenienced by us. Bathroom sink not draining well, Toilet seat smaller than bowl which was uncomfortable and odd looking. Breakfast lady was AWESOME and super nice!

    They told me my hotel.com charge did not go through and asked me to sign for payment. Next day I noticed I was double charged. Also the air filter was hanging loose out of the ceiling, doors were difficult to close and lock. Hotel not in good repair.

    Air was not working so given another room. Vanessa at breakfast is fantastic at her job. Effecient and friendly. A Gem. Metal extension on bed frame was sticking out and caught my leg causing injury and cut my leg.

    The curtains were not hung properly & there was even a folder clip used to keep it up. There was a gas like smell. The AC did not run on automatic it had to be on constantly or it would not come on at all. The common areas were hot and humid.

    We only stayed one night. The only problem I had was when we checked in they ran our card for the charge for the night and then ran the card again for a $50 charge to be returned on checkout. This caused our card to decline and be suspended by the credit card company. Same thing happened to the couple checking in ahead of us. I’ve never had a hotel do this. It’s been 3 days and the charge is still showing as pending on my account. This is unacceptable and I will never stay with Holiday Inn again.

    Brown stain on the bathroom floor. When I notified the front desk, they argued about what it was. I don't care. Just needed a clean room. The cleaning staff then blocked access to my room.

    The man at the checkout counter made me feel bad because he threatened that if I had anyone else in the room that wasn’t listed as a guest then I would be kicked out without a refund. I gave him no reason to think someone extra would be in our room. No one extra was with my family. My sister-in-law checked in right after me and he didn’t say anything like that to her. The rest of the stay was fine. The breakfast was good and Vanessa was awesome. She was very friendly and kept the buffet stocked with hot food.

    My mother's room (259), on the other hand, was a disaster. The toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet, and she about fell on the floor. Her phone didn't work at all (yes, it was plugged in). She made a complaint to the desk clerk at checkout, who proceeded to take a lengthy phone call while she was talking to him. The best part of this whole experience was that we were in the process of leaving Arkansas for good. If you plan on staying in Little Rock for more than a few hours (we were literally only there for 15 hours or so), try another property. This one was not much more than a flophouse.

    Nice, clean room. I as told that the shuttle ran 24 hours (even after calling to double check) it does not. It started t 4am and we had a 5am flight. The shuttle is no longer free and they added 14 per person to our card. They didn't say anything until we were getting onto the shuttle.

    When entering our room we were greeted by a disrepaired room and a roach. a hot iron had been dropped on the carpet and burned the imprint of the iron in the carpet, the wall to the left of the tv had been partially repaired but not painted, the bathroom door would not close and the bed was hard as a rock.

    Yikes! From the moment we checked in I knew I was going to be disappointed with this Holiday Inn Express. The front desk associate was not very professional or professionally dressed. The rooms smelled and the carpet was pretty gross too. The curtains were half falling off and the stains were all over the ceiling in places. We didn’t even have regular coffee in our room!! (Sad) The breakfast associate was so very kind and a bright spot but the breakfast was not the same as the Holiday Inn Express we stayed in a week prior in Searcy. We’ve had such a good run at these properties and have been booking them because but that streak ended unfortunately with this property.
