Magnuson Hotel Little Rock South

The property is supposed to be under construction for part of the rooms. We didn't get the room we had reserved. Instead got a different room but on bottom where above my room was either a lot of hammering for all ours or a very hyper two year old

This property needs urgent attention, mattresses dirty with stains, fridge and microwave out of condition. I wouldn’t recommend this place. On my opinion.

In smoking room should have an ashtray and trash can and the sink backed up not much water pressure, but I made it werk.

Rooms are terrible, towels dirt, insects in room are waiting for you to come! There is no continental breakfast. I know very well what is a continental breakfast while I am in USA, but this hotel had only a coffee.. but no cups…

The hotel does not look anything that it have advertise as their picture going. Their breakfast is consist of white bread, apple and coffee that is not a continental breakfast feature for me and my kids. The rooms does not look nothing remotely to the way that they advertise it on their website and brochure.

Bugs bugs bugs everywhere

It was horrible. The room was stinky. There were burn marks on the bed. The towels had black curly hairs embedded in them. Just sheets, no actual blanket. Some stuff that looked like blood dripping on the walls. They claim they have a continental breakfast, the lobby looks horrible and there is no food, just gross looking coffee. Im going to try to upload all the photos I have, if I can.

Roaches everywhere it so nasty and dirty that it needs to be shut down no microwaves in the rooms couldn't understand the staff as they didn't speak proper English

Trash overfilled in walkways roaches in rooms had to check out three rooms problems with all of them. I was getting my belongings out the room and the cleaning lady tried rushing me although i still had time we remaining. That was a bad experience compared to my other hotel stays

Roaches in the rooms, dirt everywhere, everything was either stuck or falling apart. You get what you paid for, and I paid for roaches.

The room was in in pretty poor condition with laminate flooring complete destroyed, hot and cold reversed on the sink, refrigerator that could barely open because of the damaged floors. And tons of cockroaches.

The Magnuson is not a hotel known for class and style so it isn’t like I expected much. The stay was comfortable for the cost,

Our day was disgusting. It had roaches in our room. The remote don’t work and it was crackhead everywhere.

Everything was terrible - rat traps everywhere, smelled of piss, trash everywhere, someone working on their car at 2am, people obviously living there for a long time- some rooms were hoarded from floor to ceiling

The only good thing was the night staff that tried to accommodate all the wrong things with the room. There were holes in the wall, headboard was ripped off the wall, the door had been kicked in, there were roaches around the AC.

After I got checked in and given my room key, I proceeded to the room they assigned. I reserved a king size single bed smoking, but that wasn’t what I got. I chose this hotel because I was looking to relax in the pool, however that couldn’t happen because it was empty and not working. There were holes in the walls of the room. The safety locks that are found inside the room were nonexistent. The faucet in the bathtub ran constantly all night. The toilet seat was detached, only the lid was there. Needless to say, my experience was horrible and I won’t stay at Magnuson Hotel ever again. The photos they have posted on these sites are lies. This is a hotel that I would not recommend to anyone.

Website showed a totally different hotel. Room smelled horrible and very chemically. No proper blanket. The blanket looked like a curtain. The breakfast was cereal and bread. There were no other options. My kids didn’t even want to eat. The only milk option was skim milk. The pool was closed and broken. Just overall a horrible stay and will not be booking this hotel again.

The power was out for the first few hrs we were there. We looked over that. But the man pissing on the side walk exposing himself and the junky shooting up in the stair well are what I didn’t like. We informed the staff and they chose not to do anything

Room wasn't clean and the the cleaning people start knocking on your door a hour before check out time and will stand outside your door and uncomfortably stare and watch you you until you leave like your a thief or like they trying to see what belongings you have very rude and very not ok

Maintenance man tried to break in at 4 in the morning with no shirt on asking "if i was staying there" non smoking room had burn marks from cigarettes on the sheets. No breafast as advertised. 103 no fridge or microwave as advertised.

Would not recommend. Hotel was horrible and I should have known better! But my experience at another Magnuson hotel was good. Shower curtain fell down, water was cold for shower. Stains on floor, on wall, on bed, etc. No TV (without having to set up the service) 2025 version of the Bates Motel. Hotel clerk barely spoke English!

I love the staff and rooms here.

The lobby closed at 8pm. There were only about half of the lights that worked. They were supposed to have wifi but it wouldn't work. Tv remote had no batteries and the remote was broken. We didn't feel safe there so we rushed out in the morning. Overall the worste hotel experience I've had.

I made it sure I got my 3hr sleeping time. I rushed to get out quickly because I’m afraid of bugs and the unsanitary tub. This is my 1st time not to go to shower in any motel or inn. Tub was too mouldy!

Did not get room as purchased - no sofa bed so had to switch rooms. New room had roaches, holes in walls and floors and sharp staples sticking out of headboard. Toilet paper looked like it was dropped in toilet and left to dry. Sick was broke. Neighbors were loud. Breakfast served was only toast. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The room wasnt cleaned , dirty sheets and bedding , lights didn’t work nor was they’re any a/c , poor customer service , a lot of traffic , people hanging around felt unsafe , very rude loud guests , police very active and wasn’t able to get refund so I could change to another room , so disappointed , then was put in another room it was ok but smelled like fresh paint and tv didn’t work at all or Wifi

I didn't expect a hot breakfast but this was ridiculous. Generally there is yogurt, some fruit, cereal, milk, juice, and coffee at a minimum. If they do not wish to provide a breakfast don't advertise that it is provided.

Horrible hotel! Do NOT stay here! The rooms are roach infested! There was an old chicken bone behind the nightstand! Phones aren’t hooked up so you can’t use them!

Bit of odor problem, maybe dog. Pool was empty & in very poor condition. Questionable long term residence. Was approached by unattractive AA woman who asked if I wanted "company", NOT my type. "Free Breakfast" was only sugar coated cheap cereal & coffee. However Bathroom & vanity was clean & refrig was in good working condition, as will as TV.

This place was horrible to stay at, we ended up checking out the same night and leaving. No wifi, uncomfortable beds, the room had a dtrong musk smell.

Checking in went fairly quick, however I did have to go back to the office because the room key did not work. The employee quickly exchanged it for one that did work and we were happy to get in the room at last. Until we turned the lights on and got hit in the face with a strong musty, almost mildew-y odor. I chalked it up to no air circulation in the room but even after an hour of having the air on and trying to air out the room, it’s not going ANYWHERE. The rest of the room is lackluster at best. Paint on the walls is stained and chunks of paint on the ceiling are either completely missing or in the process of falling off and water damage is apparent. The baseboards in the closet are missing and there’s a hole in the corner with apparent rodent activity. I’m glad it’s only a one night stay. I would not recommend this “hotel” to my worst enemy.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It was roach infested had holes punched in the walls and the doors. You can tell the door has been kicked in a few times. The pool was drained you can tell it's been that way all summer didn't say a word online about it and the ice machine was broken. The key card never would work on our door had to go to the front office every time I wanted back in my room very inconvenient never bothered trying to fix it or switching me to a new room. When I first walked in the room and saw the roaches scatter when I turn the lights on my kids were crying cuz they didn't want to stay there but they had charged my account before I even checked in and refused to give me a refund.

Our room was clean but had musty mold smell due to baseboards having water damage. The breakfast had very slim selections.

This place need to be burned out and build a new one...

Need to update pics to something the last decade. Toilet seat had dry pee, floor missing carpet, dark in room and a/c was terrible. Left and went to BW 5 minutes down the road for same price.

Don’t be fooled by the, you get a discount price. This is only worth $45-50. We didn’t get bed bugs, so that was good news. Also to be fair, smoke free rooms that are now nonsmoking, never smell good. This one smelled of old smoke and mold. The shower tub was clean, but lots of filth in the grout and along then sells. The bed, was big, but very uncomfortable and there was an area you’d sink into in the middle and other areas.

20 years ago it was probably a nice place to stay now it’s like a flophouse

Bathroom was so run down I dreaded taking shower. Bed was sunk in middle. Not relaxing at all.

The hotel itself was in an alright location and had good service, my room had a broken door lock and the tv had little to no options and the soap they leave is way cheaper than what they have pictures the room looks nothing like the pictures

Pulled in at 10pm for my key,way to my room cops were arresting someone.Not a safe place for a woman to be alone at night. Rooms have bugs so i couldn't even stay the night. Checked out at 10:10pm

This hotel is deplorable. The hotel is in shambles inside. Needs a complete remodel. The first room was dirty like someone just checked out. No cleaning done. The second room was not better. The shower was dirty with old dirty shower curtain. A compkeye total waste. I did not stay or even ask for a different room with the same effects

Was horrible stay. The ticket has a breakfast and they denied serving breakfast. The front desk and manager are rude. People should boycott such businesses. The furniture is worn and lighting are not functional. I asked the front desk to change the light he actually came to change while checking he asked me “why do you need the light?!!!” I don’t believe there is such brazen attitude, it is new level

Friendly and competent staff. No breakfast. Clean room but old and dirty (dirt and grime embedded into cracks). Woman's hair strands stuck to back of bathroom door. Incomplete or worn paints in bathroom. Some lights did not work or I did not know how to turn it on. Small room and smaller bathroom. Room was photogenic; picture looked a lot better than real thing.

Ended up getting a refund! This place was disgusting! Non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray. Cockroaches greeted us at the door. Possible prostitute hanging out in front of the lobby.

The first room that they gave me was dirty and had two big spiders in the room and had no phone to phone the front desk. The second room that I i was given in place of the first room was dirty, there was still no phone to call the front desk and the fire alarm was in a drawer with the battery out of it and it was wrapped up in a trash bag. Plus there was cockraches in the room. Overall I was not pleased and I will never stay there again.

First and foremost when I complained that I was seeing roaches (as I am allergic) she simply told me "Well check out" when all I wanted was my room changed or my money back to stay elsewhere. She proceeded to tell me that "This is an economy hotel its not 5 star hotel" - My thing is this I don't care if this is an economy hotel, I never asked you for those type of accommodations but you will ensure that you have a sanitary, non infested hotel for paying guests. Bathrooms are barely cleaned. Then they will claim that the room has been remodeled but its using old dirty run down furniture from different hotels/motels as well as the flooring is very loose. They moved me and that's when I knew I probably should've just checked out because honey, I could never! I have been to plenty other "economy hotels" that takes it serious to ensure that its clean! DO NOT STAY HERE!! - GO ELSEWHERE!!!! (They dont care)

The hotel was ran down. Went in our room and the covers had blood on them. The clerk did provide new linens but never again will I stay. The staff was friendly however it was FITHY!

The rooms are too dim, more lightbulbs needed. My sister is disabled, she had to take a bath in complete darkness, that is unacceptable. A lightbulb does not cost very much.

I had a emergency and had to go to the ICU and wasn’t able to stay at the hotel for the 2 nights I paid for and he refused to refund any of my 2 nights even though I have proof about the hospital he said I had 10 minutes to cancel. So they kept 2 days of pay from the rooms I reserved

This was horrible! I woke up to roaches crawling on me and in my drink even on the toilet seat. No refund available! No phone. The TV was not operable. They moved me to stay with the roaches and spiders. Disappointing and unacceptable. Not my battle to fight but if you end up there maybe its your fight! Good luck!

Magnuson hotel in South Little Rock Arkansas was not a good place to stay. The room had roaches inside & the outside balcony was falling apart. It looked a little run down & in desperate need of renovations.

The young man that morning helped us checked us in early and said we didn't have to checkout until Nov. 5th at 11am we just got comfortable and housekeeping opened the door and just got out of the shower and then 15 mins later the desk came and did the same and told us we had to leave my coupon was waisted for $50 they called the police and he even said that we were right we called you and we were told the reservation had been updated and to go back and they started calling the cops again and told us don't come back and the paper we signed the check in slip nowhere on it does it say check out the same day on the 4th I sent a copy to you I want someone to show me where it says checkout on the 4th it says check in on the 4th checkout on the 5th I'm livid I'm on the verge of hiring an attorney because I feel like we are descriminated against because we are homeless

The hotel, whomever was contacted by Hotels com though, was kind enough to reimburse me even though it wasn't required of them. For that I'm thankful. I hope they clean the place up and succeed in their business because they seem kind.

The place was really sketchy. Seemed like a bad area the motel was the only active business left there. The door lock, toilet seat, walls, door trim, and bed where all broken. The room was clean and i wasn't disturbed, despite finding 2 patrol cars with full lights going in the parking lot when i left for food. Overall i feel like this was a crack house that used a bait and switch tactic to get me to stay there. The room was marked half off from $100 i was expecting a much nicer establishment if thats the normal price. 1 star would not recommend or stay again.

The room was filthy. The WiFi wasn’t working. The room smelled of mildew and old socks. I asked the front desk to have someone come clean it and she handed me a broom and dust pan. I had to buy supplies to clean and also sheets for my kids to sleep in the sofa bed cause they had no available sheets or blankets Early in the morning as we were leaving for another hotel about 7 cars of police pull up cause there were domestic disputes going on all around us. I left the hotel the very next day only stood one night because it was too late to move my kids around that time of night I’m disappointed and also still waiting for the remainder of my money back

The room was clean and comfortable. However, the non-smoking room smelled overwhelming of smoke. The bathroom was highly in need of repair. It served our purpose for an overnight stay, but i would not go back.

The manager told me I couldn't stay there after I already paid for the room. It was a nightmare. And hotels.com has become so unprofessional I was hung up on 3 times becusse they are working from home right now with no supervision.

Checkin hurt - they used a walk up window that is not near their front desk and any supplies. Police cars were in the kit. The exterior needs a paint job after it is power washed. The motor lobby needs to be repaired after an accident brought down a portion of the roof. The pool is empty. They breakfast is cancelled for the pandemic (i at breakfast all week at hotels). A washcloth is on the sidewalk outside my room. The tub is stained and moldy. The ceiling above the shower is moldy. A piece of cove base is loose. The bathroom door is chipped on both sides. The sheet has a burn hole. The tv is the smallest I have seen in years. The front wall by the door and the door have four pieces of double stick tape. There are cobwebs in the corner of the bathroom sink area. As the fellow that created Hotels.com’s Hotel Experts Insoectjon program 17 or so years ago, I am worn out from this property. Never again, Magnuson.

Was good for 1 night but unsure if it had bed bugs...cobwebs in the room. Looked like blood stained cover. No pool looked like a swamp.

When I went to check-in the intercom didn't work but, the check-in went fine. The room was quiet and spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The only thing wrong with my stay was there wasn't any WiFi, I mean there wasn't even anywhere I could sign-on.

Do not go here, it was so run down there were drug addicts loitering in the parking lot; multiple broken down cars; I literally saw a guy check room windows and then crawl in through one he found. I didnt even check I just drove back out. Its the cheapest in Little Rock for a reason. Its not worth dying just to save a few dollars. GET A DIFFERENT HOTEL.
