This is a hidden gem, close to everything in Long Beach yet affordable. The Motel is clearly old, but the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. And the owner was very friendly and accommodating. We will stay there again if we find ourselves needing a room in Long Beach!

We chose this hotel over other chain hotels due to the reviews. When we arrived, it looked as though people were living in and on the property. Still optimistic, I went to check in ‘at the window’ and there were two rough looking people behind me. The owner asked me to pay cash because the card I used to reserve the room with wasn’t the card I was going to use and he wouldn’t take my other card. To add to the misery, he did not take tap. After seeing someone walk by without underwear, my husband said absolutely not. Whoever did the previous reviews, makes me question the integrity of Expedia.

We were greeted by a very friendly host. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with nice, solid furniture. As the room was located away from the busy road, the noise at night was not bad at all. The plumbing was a bit worrisome and might need attention.

Acceptable room, older facilities. Could use beauty upgrade. Paint, caulk,etc. Excellent shower- water temp and pressure!

Basic accommodations, clean, staff was eager to assist any way needed. Location is close to the cruise port and has food and coffee within walking distance. Looks like it's an Independent owner, which I like to support.

The location was private. The parking situation was not stressful. There were plenty of parking spots. The hosts were very kind. I enjoyed the refrigerators, it kept my ice frozen. I will stay again!

But the room and property look NOTHING like the photos shown in their ad. Paint splotches on walls and sink. Sink cracked and scratched. Corroded faucets. Screw anchors left behind when the shelves (?) were removed. Slapdash installation of electrical coverings. I have no idea how this place got a 7.6 star rating.

outlets are in unusual places. room felt dingy,old, beat up. the room had a smell to it. walls are thin I could hear the neighbors conversations. its in a trucking area so all night traffic could be heard. I needed something close to the port for the night. I will not stay here again.

Everything was dirty and it is in an incredibly unsafe area. The pictures looked decent for a single night stay but we knew we messed up when we saw the place. Will not go back.

checking in was a breeze , didn't give us a hard time at all . it was really in the middle of gas stations , food spots , and liquors everything you need especially for a weekend getaway. the manager always was on duty and asked if we needed anything , great customer service :) will rebook if I need to be back in the area

The rooms and property really need some clean up and help. My room was clean but very basic. The property is very conveinently located and with a little refurbishment could be quite pleasant. The proprietor was very helpful. The internet was fine.

Absolutely not a clean room at all. It smelled like toilet hasn’t been cleaned in months. The whole room smelled disgusting. I got out of there asap. I don’t stay and paid for nothing.

With the professional standards going down in several travel locations, it was refreshing to see a place that had to hospitality and consideration for guests that one would expect. It is a lost art, and this place does it very well. Three thumbs up!

The hotel staff were so helpful and lovely. The room was clean, quiet, there were fluffy fresh towels, and the beds were very comfortable. It was an enjoyable stay.

My mother said that the staff at the front desk was very friendly and polite. The ONLY thing she didnt like was that people were smoking close to their room. She suffers from migraines and the smell of smoke bothers her. Other than that she said it was an okay hotel.

Well worth it compared to anything else you can find in the area and I have already booked my next stay

Overall, I really enjoyed the stay at Eagle Inn Motel. Very nice staff, easy check-in & check-out process, clean guest room, and excellent room service (replacing soap, towels, etc). I was only slightly concerned about the room door itself not being completely free from additional lighting entering. (Though, maybe it's just still under construction.)

The bathroom shower had a broken door.and the bathtub was disguising. I couldn’t bath in ti. I ask for an iron and it was all burnt. Couldn’t use it. I got pictures if need it.

The manager was very nice. They included water in the room and the location was nearby public transit and some fast food spots. I was in town for the weekend and it was very nice day to get to downtown Long Beach from the motel.

After a disastrous experience nearby at Hyland Inn (which I would avoid like the plague), I was able to quickly rebook a same night stay at Eagle. Actually I booked the stay and drove over within 15 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. The night manager was professional and very helpful at check-in. Parking was easy. The room itself was perfect for a good night's sleep: bed was comfortable, didn't hear any surrounding noise, the AC worked great and didn't buzz, and the shower had a lot of water pressure. I will stay here again.

Convenient and cost effective.

It was old and really run down so it looked dirty even though it was clean. However, the shower curtain needed to be cleaned and the little window sill in the shower had soap and shampoo wrappers in it and old soap bars. The decor was cheap and the bed wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. The walls are really thin so I could hear the TV in the room next door from the other side of the room and a lady coughing in the other room next door when I was right next to the wall. But it was sufficient for a single night stay. And the staff was really nice and accommodating.

I really don’t want to ruin the Business by giving less than 3 starts when they deserve less, but instead of staying at their office and behind ( where they live ) the owners should buy new towels ( I did not even shower because I won’t use the towel even on my dog ) and spend sometime touching up the door paint, do some remodeling …really outdated place!

Great spot if you’re looking for a quick trip to Long Beach. Manager and staff were very kind and helpful. They were attentive to any questions we had. 7 min drive to the aquarium and other tourist spots.

Terrible staff

We utilized Lyft several times and were picked up in moments. We walked to a corner store and we walked to breakfast in the morning, no issues, and you’re less than a block from a crosswalk Clean and safe room, a just fine location (especially for the cruise port). Don’t be expecting the Radisson, this is more of an old school roadside motel. I’d stay here again the night before a cruise!

Condition inside the room is poor. Handle of the bathroom is broken, some mold in the bathroom curtain(not much). Blanket is very thin, i would say no blanket. Just the flat sheets. Its good for summer maybe, but not for cold wheather when we were there(January). However, for the price, its ok. We just needed somewhere to sleep before travel early morning. There is also small fridge(and top frezer) and microwave. So its a plus. Overall is average rating.

The property is close to the cruise terminal which is why I booked. It’s a typical room for the cheap cost. However there was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain which made me think twice about taking a shower. Staff was nice. There are permanent residence on the property and they had people coming and going all night long in the room above mine. They didn’t stop making a ton of noise till about 4am.

An okay place to stay at if you are just looking sleeping and showering. The property is in okay condition. The area surrounding the property is so so. The bathroom and towels could use more cleaning. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room amenities were adequate. I felt that the nightly rate of $125 was high considering the kind of property it is. There are some nice restaurants nearby. There's a gas station too.
