    The first rock we got had a stand up air conditioner and was vented through an open window. This seemed unsafe and also let in too much hot air (90+degree days). We asked to switch rooms. They accommodated hut he room we were put in had AC that was on a motion detector so when we slept we were awoken every two hours due to heat and humidity and had to cycle it back on. Our room was extremely warm when we returned each day as no air was running. The whole place was dirty. A bar was advertised as available and was not (it was clear it was only used for storage). The bed was so springy and uncomfortable. This was a super disappointing experience for the price 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.

    When we arrived, our room was 83° and humid. After two hours, the A/C had done nothing and the room kept getting hotter. The front desk said maintenance would come, but nobody showed up. After another complaint, “maintenance” arrived and simply put his hand near the vent. The hotel offered to move us to a room with working A/C for only one night, even though we were staying two nights, or provide a portable A/C unit. Looking through other reviews, this seems to be their standard response. They act like it’s a new problem, but reviews show it’s been going on for a long time. We tried the portable unit, but it didn’t help. It also required leaving the balcony door open about a foot for venting. I wasn’t interested in sleeping with a door open all night in a noisy city, especially when the room was still hot. After spending hours dealing with this right after getting off a plane, we finally negotiated staying both nights in a different room. While moving, we met two other guests in the elevator who were also having A/C problems. The second room was a comfortable temperature, but we found signs of roaches, including two crushed roach bodies in the bathroom door jamb. Save yourself the frustration and choose another hotel.

    On June 5 2026 my Wife and I check into long Island city Manhattan View Hotel and I can't find or say any good to say about this awful hotel LI Manhattan View , don't stay here .As soon as we check in and went to the room , call the Brooklyn suit ,we left the room and went to the front desk requesting a refund. We would have been more comfortable sleeping in our vehicle. We are currently requesting our money refunded Booking .com and LI Manhattan View. Don't stay here save yourself from being disappointed The( Brooklyn suit ) room smelled awful and unclean, the carpet looked old ,the couch is 10 years old (approximately) , the windows were stained or unclean and couldn't see Manhattan .To me it appears to be a hotel were John's bring street women their..Don't stay at the Li Manhattan View hotel it's filthy place...

    Do NOT book this hotel; I tried to check in at 4 PM on June 3rd, but was told that they couldn't let me stay there due to an incident at their hotel. They have to arrange me to stay at their sister hotel. Meanwhile, they were checking in other guests in front of me. This was discrimination. I tried to be friendly, but when I arrived at this sister hotel, I found they gave me a room right next to the railway tracks, making it impossible to work or sleep. So, around 6 PM that day, I informed Expedia of the entire situation. They agreed to change my hotel and asked for my phone number, saying they would contact me. However, after waiting for over an hour, nothing happened. So, I had to book another hotel further away at a very high price because of the last minute booking. The following day (June 4th) around 5 PM, I contacted Expedia again to report the same issue and request a refund. To my astonishment, hey had no record of what happened the previous day, and it took an hour over the phone for they go back and force to undersand what had happened again. They told me to wait and call back another day to inquire about the refunding progress, giving me a case ID. I called again around 11 PM on June 7th with that case ID, and they surprised me again because they had no record of what happened at all. The entire lengthy investigation process was restarted again, and because the hotel owner tried to hide away from the investigation, they could not provide any updates.

    But- and this is a big but for us- the air conditioning is not working properly. Our first room on the 11th floor was 76 degrees and would not go down. We notified the staff who said they’d send someone to fix it- we came back and it was at the same temperature. Then I asked again- they said they’d send someone. After thirty minutes of no one coming, I went down again. He switched our room to a bigger room with a manhattan view but when we entered- it was 78 degrees. Luckily it had a haphazard portable AC that we stuck right next to our face so we were able to sleep but the room itself never cooled down so we left as early as we could in the morning. Reading other more recent reviews- this appears to be an ongoing problem and I wish I had known because I would’ve booked somewhere else (because I hate being hot while I sleep). Just wanted to make sure I shared so others were aware!

    Great location and very clean. 4 mins walk to subway and about 20-30 minutes from tourist attractions. Street parking was easy to find. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Will definitely stay here for my next visit.

    Well maintained and well run hotel. Clean, quiet, secure. Nice looking rooms and public spaces. Parking onsite available at a reasonable cost; the staff allowed me to keep the car there for several hours after checkout. Only two blocks from a NYC subway stop and then ten minutes into Manhattan. Lots of good restaurants within a few blocks. They don't currently offer breakfast but they do put coffee out in a nice lounge area.

    We had a parking spot, but I guess we’re pretty lucky since there’s only about 15 of them total. The hotel is pretty mid. The staff was super nice and helpful. We did find a small German cockroach in the bathroom. And the room never quite got below 22 Celsius even at night.

    Very clean, staff was helpful and allowed early check-in and offered to store bags after checkout. My biggest gripe is that I asked for a hair dryer several times and every time they told me someone would bring it up but I was never provided one. They kept saying it was behind the bathroom door but it was not.

    nice beds and pillows, the view and the location were great. The bathroom was clean. Good water pressure. There was a dirty towel under the bed and a few plastic caps under the other. The coffee station did not have coffee twice, and there was only one option for tea. The staff never said hello or good morning, nothing.

    Hotel was pretty clean and well kept. Bed was a little uncomfortable and air conditioning in the room didn't seem to keep up all the time but it worked well for a landing place after a day in the city. Conveniently located near 39th street subway station and the area is nice. We never felt unsafe walking in this neighborhood.

    Very well connected hotel, about 15min by subway to reach Manhattan 5th Avenue. Staff was very supportive and attentive. We had an issue with the aircon system and we immediately received a portable unit as backup. Considering the price the value is great.

    Rodney, at the front desk, went out of his way to accommodate us. He was always available, friendly and super helpful. Just lovely. We were pleased with everything. Have already recommended it to friends coming to NYC and will definitely make it our home away from home when visiting NYC family.

    I paid extra for a room with balcony and city view thinking that I would get the view of manhattan like they show on the pictures when you select a room. What i got was a small room on the corner of the building with a view of the an apartment building. The stay overall was not bad and in a good location with convenient parking. Avoid paying extra for balcony with city view because they don’t specify what part of the city you will view.

    The room looked nothing like the pictures and felt more like a MOTEL than a hotel. While the bed appeared made and the room initially looked tidy, it was clearly not clean. I woke up the next morning to a BED BUG crawling on the bed and multiple BITE MARKS on my back. I reported the issue to the front desk at 7 AM, and not once did anyone apologize. Instead, I was told there were no other rooms available. To make matters worse, the air conditioning did not work. The vent and filter were filthy, and a portable AC unit had been left in the room from a previous guest. The unit was so loud that sleeping was nearly impossible honestly, it was worse than listening to New York City sirens all night. Very disappointing experience!!

    Very old and dirty. Carpets smelled like …. And sheets and chairs sticky and stained. AC not working it was 90* when we opened the room. Staff dismissive, location was great and a beautiful view of a NY skyline but this hotel needs a major update. It doesn’t look like the pictures at all. I got the best option deluxe room with a balcony so it doesn’t get better even if you pay for it. I found another hotel in manhattan same price and so much better!

    The pictures make this place to be extremely luxurious and grand but once entering the lobby I was very underwhelmed by the interior and the arguing customers. I felt misled by the nice photos of this place’s advertisement. The charging ports were all lose for some reason so I struggled to charge my electronics that night. Honestly if you’re going to spend over $250+ a night at this hotel you can get a better experience elsewhere

    ただ、部屋の空調が壊れていたようで、簡易的なエアコンがバルコニーのところに設置してあり、信じられないことに、バルコニーのドアが15センチほど開けっぱなしで稼働させるようになっていました。 チェックインの際、そのことについてのスタッフからの説明は一言もありませんでした。 疲れていたし、一泊のみだったし、夜は快適な外気温だったので、何も苦情はいいませんでしたが、暑い日や寒い日だったり、虫が入ってくる可能性もあったし、連泊だったらかなり困ったと思います。 このホテルには泊まる方はお気をつけください。

    The air conditioning in our room didn’t work, even after we requested a change. When we checked again later, they claimed to have an issue with the HVAC system. However, instead of acknowledging the problem, they offered us an alternate room. The room we were given was only partially cleaned, and we found a pin and some tablets in the carpet, along with hair on the chairs. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

    After a lot of research, keeping in mind that we had a relatively tight budget, we chose to stay at the L.I.C. Manhattan View. Now, I read a lot of reviews from other visitors, and I saw the good and the bad, so let me give you my opinion now that the week is over. So is the hotel a five star property? It is not, for one reason, and I'll get to that momentarily. The Manhattan View is a budget oriented hotel and in some ways, that shows. There are some cosmetic imperfections. But seriously, is that something to complain about? I don't believe so as long as the owners don't allow it to get out of control. This isn't The Ritz Carlton. Minor shortcomings will not affect your stay. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a firm mattress, but no different than the one I have at home. The location was perfect also. The subway is 2 short blocks away and in less than 15 minutes you're in Time Square. In addition, there's a great bodega across the street with delicious, fresh food and very nice employees. There aren't very many fast food restaurants in the area, but there are a number of sit-down establishments. The hotel doesn't have a lot of amenities, but there are some pluses such as free coffee in the lobby, a public microwave and water bottles at the asking. I was told there's a gym downstairs, but I

    They have a parking lot and I needed it for only 2 nights and the front desk was trying to charge me my whole stay when I wasn’t using it for all those extra nights. My room also didn’t have a smart tv, as the staffs was trying to help and bring us a smart tv for it not to work. The rooms are vintage, not modern or updated at all but that’s ok. The price per night is ridiculous. Besides that I loved it and would stay again, just less days.

    For 2 days had to play technician Live tv inconsistent basically had to keep tv on cause when you turn it off I was hard reconnecting complaints fell on deaf ears basically had to deal with it because they didn’t have another tv to swap and all the other rooms where booked

    Very friendly reception desk, I arrived three hours before check-in and my room was ready and there was an overnight parking spot for me for $40 right outside the entrance, a really good deal, very very easy. I do a lot of overnights in NYC for work and this was a cheap and easy one, a really nice surprise. N/W train a 3 minute walk away, cute coffee shop right across the street, plus a bodega. 5 stars.

    The location was great and next to the N train to get you right into Manhattan. The staff was VERY friendly and answered any questions we had. The room was a good size and we really liked that the whole property was non smoking. The AC didn’t work too well. Which was okay on the last day since it was cold out. However, on the 72° day, it only felt nice in the room when we cracked the window. Would definitely stay here again!

    The location was great for exploring Manhattan with subway stops 5 and 10 minutes from the hotel. The immediate surrounding area itself has little to offer, but there is a Dunkin nearby and a couple convenience type stores. The view was great and the room was spacious and clean. The main drawback for me was the mattresses which were so hard that I woke in pain every morning - they need to do something about that. Also the TV/remote was baffling to the point we just didn't use. The staff was fine but understand this is not a full service type hotel. If you prioritize a convenient and reasonably priced place to explore Manhattan by subway, this is a good option.

    Room was adequate. Sheets were clean, bathroom was clean-ish. A/c did not work, maintenance opened the disgusting filter vent, took out said filter and reinserted gross filter. Said it was all fixed. Staff said they would switch us rooms, then stated they could not w/o trying to fix AC again. No fix, maintenance brought a portable room AC, said boilers had just been turned off, and that is why room was hot. Portable AC hose kept popping off, spewing hot air into room. Would not stay here again.

    They overcharged me for some stains in a towel that I had nothing to do with. They said there was a stain and charged my card for 50$!!! The most expensive towel in the world. And I barely went to sleep ther, I just used them to dry my face. They told me that they were going to send pics and never did.

    Storm storm hit New York City travel ban couldn’t get into the couldn’t get into the hotel couldn’t get into the city try to change the date of my stay cause it was out of my control to hazardous to come to the hotel and check in the hotel staff when I made contact was incredibly rude, obnoxious and unwilling to help wouldn’t change the date so I asked Expedia help me with the contact of the hotel they got the same rude and obnoxious staff that was unwilling to help them as well so zero stars the hotel does not I give refunds and unwilling to help during the snowstorm

    Climate control here is an absolute mess. Normally I’d wait before reviewing but this is simply ridiculous. We’ve been setting our room thermostat to the recommended 70 and our first room assignment kept climbing up to 92 degrees at 4 AM. This woke us up and I called reception and they said they would get to it in the morning. Absolutely insane - how are we expected to sleep in that when we’re paying for comfortable accommodations? After having to call back, they got us in another room where the temp is climbing again up to 85. Simply infuriating.

    Absolutely terrible experience. I arrived around noon and understood that standard check-in is 3:00 PM, but when I politely asked if any room—even a smaller one—was available earlier, the front desk attendant responded with an extremely unprofessional and rude attitude. When I requested to cancel, I was told to deal with the booking provider. I then asked if I could park until check-in time and was told it would cost $40 per day. Because of the poor treatment, I booked a room across the street and never even checked into this hotel, yet I was still charged. Completely unacceptable customer service and I would not recommend staying here.

    Very nice qnd clean hotel. The aroma throughput the hotel gave it a luxurious vibe. I would have given 5 stars if the parking situation was better. Expedia should let customers know that the parking is very limited the hotel only has a lot for 16 cars and its $40 a day first come first serve you can not reserve a space ahead of time. i only booked this hotel because i was under the impression there was a parking lot. Luckily even with the snow i was blessed enough both nights to find close street parking near thebhotel. other than that its beautiful nice views of the city too.

    Everything About LIC Manhattan View is wonderful. The staff is caring and welcoming and thoughtful and responds to your loyalty and they work to make it a home for you. And Long Island City is a very cool place with an organically changing history as you move from block to block. very cool.. Lots of places to find and to eat. Take a little walk across to the other side of the Bridge for groceries and other delights.. Awesome Hotel..

    The AC DID NOT WORK AT ALL! It was one of the coldest days in December, and the heating did not work. The room was 66 degree without turning the AC on, and droped to 63 even if I set the AC to 80. It just simply blew out cold wind. I stayed for 3 nights, complaint to the front desk the second day, no one fixed it. Same thing happened, and I told the front desk again, and still it was not fixed. There was some huge miscommunication between the HVAC tech, front desk, and in house tech. No one could answer my question, and the HVAC tech never came to fix the problem. Front desk gave me two extra blankets and a space heater, which saved me from cold to death, but still it was not a proper fix. Further than that, the bed was terribly worn out and sagging on one side. This was a cheap hotel and do not expect a comfortable stay at all.

    The room we booked had a balcony, which faced out over to Manhattan. From that balcony, we were able to see the fireworks at midnight all over the city! The room was big enough, and clean, but it was VERY warm. Granted, we were on the 14th floor, and heat rises. We eventually ended up resorting to sleeping with the balcony door open. Despite turning the thermostat down, the room remained a bit too warm for our liking. The pillows were comfortable. The bed left a bit to be desired — it was a little too hard, and you could feel some of the pressure from the coils in the mattress. Nothing too horrid!!

    They’ll scam you out of your deposit by saying you left the room smelling of smoke even if you don’t smoke and when you ask about it they’ll make up a story saying how unbearable it was even tho you don’t smoke at all.     Horrible check in experience, specially having 2 rooms. Dirty rugs all around. Broken microwave. No coffee by 9am, or no milk. Not a single time we were greeted while coming in the lobby. Even at 2 am they did not even look up to see who it was coming into the property at that time in the morning. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable, noisy, hard, springy, sheets were clean. Room itself was really clean, I'm sure the latin dude( seemed colombian) takes care of it. Saw him cleaning the room in front and he definitely takes pride in his work. Other thst that.     - staff was incredibly kinda and helpful - the furniture in the room was modern and in good condition - the bed was comfortable - the internet worked well The bad: So... the A/C was forced into "winter mode" (late Sept, it was high humidity and 80 degrees out), which you could temporarily override by setting the temperature very low. But every 90 minute or so it would switch back, turning of the A/C, and letting the room heat up. Given it was 80 outside, I'd wake up to the room being 78 in the middle of the night, several times. Even wetting the AC to 60, I could never get the room below 74 degrees. I reported this after the 2nd day and the maintenance guy came and switched the display from F to C, and said "Now the degrees are lower." I explained this doesn't actually change the temperature, and it was hot as hell. After a bit of arguing, he said he could install a portable AC in the room if I wanted. I asked if other rooms were better and he said he wasn't sure. He called down to the front desk to see if I could switch rooms and they said I'd need to pack everything up, come down and they could check me out and check me back in. I decided that was a lot of work with no guarantee another room was better so asked him to install the portable. He did, and while it was incredibly load, it did manage to keep the room at ~69 (though I had it set to 65), throughout the night, which was much more comfortable.

    My stay at LIC Manhattan View Hotel was absolutely terrible. Causing me to check in and out within 30 minutes of coming to the hotel to look for alternative accommodation in the city. The nightmare began in the lobby, which offered a truly grim welcome: rotting wilted flowers on the front desk, and broken and leaking ceilings with visible pieces of plaster falling onto the floor. The conditions in the room were no better as the the bottom of the doors were visibly dirty and uncleaned, and the carpets reeked of some musty smell that made the room feel unsanitary. After viewing the lobby and the room I immediately reported these issues and requested a refund, and the front desk informed me a refund was impossible "per policy", and the hotel manager refused to speak with me about the state of the property. While the hotel is one of the cheaper options, travelers should consider it not worth the savings. It is far better to spend a couple hundred more dollars to have a cleaner room elsewhere. I have attached videos and pictures of everything as proof of my terrible stay.

    After reading reviews that were equally divided between excellent and horrible, I was apprehensive when we arrived. However, our room was perfectly fine. It was clean, comfortable, and fit the needs of our family for one night. It was a little off-putting to have an a/c unit just hanging out, but it did keep the room nice and cool. Also, the lights above the door turned on by themselves a couple of times, so that was weird, and then the bathroom light turned off while I was in the shower. Strange, but honestly not a deal-breaker. We had no issues with parking or safety. I don't understand why we had to pay for parking, though. Shouldn't that be included as a guest..? Again, it was fine for the single night of our stay.

I loved that it was close to the subway, but it served its purpose for what we needed it be. The rooms were clean. I do wish there were chairs on the balcony. The room is a little dated, but other than that everything was clean, which I think is more important.

    The phones were missing buttons, the elevator was out of order, my shower didn't drain, all the towels smelled of bleach, it was not a good experience. After standing in my shower water, I went down and asked for something to be done and they quickly moved me to a better room on the 12th floor with a view of the city. The windows were very dirty, can't enjoy the city view....b/c you can't see it. I highly recommend not staying here. The Modernist is around the corner and they're much better!!

    Beware of staying here. The hotel is in a disgusting neighborhood, the owners are all rude (especially Amad), and will try and scam you if you your incidental hold of 150. They’ll claim some nonsense and claim they have proof but won’t share it. The towels are old and the bathroom is unkept. Overall a terrible experience and I urge all would be guest to avoid this hotel like the plague.

    The best part of the Hotel for me was having easy 3 minute walk to the train. The check in was easy as well. Staff was friendly. But the carpets and floors in the lobby and elevator were dirty.     It’s a decent budget-friendly hotel for families. There’s a microwave in the lobby, which is super handy for late-night ramen or quick meals—definitely useful for families. If you need parking, there’s a garage around the corner, but watch out if you’ve got a low-clearance car—the road’s a bit uneven and you might scrape the bottom. If you're coming from the East Coast, I’d recommend it—it’s less of a hassle than crossing into Jersey via the Washington Bridge. But if you're coming from the West Side of Manhattan, you might be better off staying somewhere west of the bridge.

    The property could use a little upgrade. Area in front of entrance, they need to be more strict with people smoking and laying around there. It sometimes makes you wonder if its a shelter. They do have signs around the area to not sit or smoke let alone lay down on the bench. But nobody cares. The view from the upper floors is A-MA-ZING! That gets 10 stars! Staff is always friendly!     Staff is always very friendly! Check in is always easy! The rooms with a view are great! The ciews make up for anything else. But unfortunately the area outside (entrance and out front) always has some dirty looking people smoking, coughing and spitting up lungies, laid out on the benches, arguing on the phone etc. oh and not sure why the towels always smell like they sprayed bleach directly on it. Its always one smells and the other doesnt. One time before i got to catch the bleach scent i passed it on my face and it burned a little. This last time the ac was not working correctly. I got tired of waiting for maintenance to come up (after over an hour) so i canceled it. woke up sweating at 3am.

    I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would happily return. The location is incredibly convenient – close to everything you might need, whether you're in town for business or leisure. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable – much larger than I expected, which made it feel like a home away from home. A special mention goes to the young lady at the reception desk. I didn’t catch her name, but she was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Her warm welcome and assistance made a great first impression and set the tone for the entire visit.     However there were a couple things that weren’t favorable during the short stay.. 1. Being the wifi being free/accessible The wifi was not strong while inside the room during our stay, making it very difficult and frustrating to connect our electronic devices/use them. The wifi was strong in the hallways, and I thought that was strange. 2. The tv in our Queen size bedroom, was all the way on the left side of the wall and not typically in the middle. Making it oddly strange to view the tv while in bed. Despite these 2 inconveniences, the stay here was good for the price. What I liked the most was the coffee/vendor machines/ice machine/microwave/ and being close to the deli!

    I was scared to book this hotel based on all the negative reviews it recieved, but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The price was much lower than other nearby hotels, and everything was fine. Nearby train station made getting everywhere I had to go easy. Do not trust the bad reviews, there are no bed bugs and the AC worked fine. This isnt a 5 star hotel, but it serves its purpose with friendly staff.

    The hotel was perfect for what I needed, a place to sleep and shower while there for training. Clean room, friendly staff, and everything worked the way it should. I liked the convenience to LIC, very walkable. Probably comparable to other streets in NYC, it’s a bit dirty and had some homeless people, but I felt relatively safe walking in the morning and evening. Great stay, thank you!

    Experience here was horrible and a lie! Website claims it’s “eco friendly” but they used plastic containers as bottles of soap and shampoo and there was not a plant in any of the rooms like depicted in the pictures online. The air conditioner in our room was broke and did not turned on, trash was inside our drawers, the carpets were dirty and not vacuumed, the lights in both the front door and bathroom turned on and off automatically, even if you switched it off, which made it annoying to try and sleep throughout the night. When we tried to call for room service, the phone was broke and buttons were missing, as well as the wires cut off from both the phone AND alarm clock. So we went downstairs and they gave us a new room, but it was only slightly better (at least the lights cut off properly with our new room). Unless you want to be frugal and save money, DO NOT stay at this hotel.

    I usually stay in the Long Island City area when I come to NYC. This was my first time at this hotel, booked because of the rate and a balcony. They did honor an early check in but the first room was not clean. Several stains on the chairs and walls. I was moved to a second room on a higher floor, and didn’t have issues with cleanliness. Bed was the comfiest.

    The light in the room kept turning on by itself so we got zero sleep! They tried to “upgrade” our room at 2:30 in the morning, we packed up and went to the other room that had a queen sized bed instead of a king! Also, you can hear the subway on the 12th floor!     We booked a Queen Room with a Balcony but they gave us just a Queen room initially. Once we brought it to their attention they gave us the right room immediately stating that the system changed our room type for whatever reason. The view from the room was awesome, hard to beat honestly. You could tell the room wasn’t deep cleaned because there was a vitamin/pill in the closet and the radio was thrown into a corner by the bed. However, the bathroom and bed was clean which is what mattered to us. The tv didn’t work and you could really hear this one outside bar until late in the night (past midnight). Overall we would stay again if they don’t raise the price, we think we got a lower rate because of the grand opening.

    It’s a shame I have to rate this place so low because it is actually a nice new building with a very spacious room and bathroom for NYC. But their AC is just crap and I think they know it. It’s kind of a fraud to list AC as an amenity and not provide it. When I arrived in the room the AC was set to 60 and blasting but the room was showing 80 degrees on the thermostat. I called the front desk and the agent gave an almost gaslighting drone reply of “you can set it to whatever you want”. I gave him the benefit of a doubt but after twenty minutes the temp hadn’t changed so opened the window and the door which cooled it down to 78. The AC was noisy but no air was moving out of it. I told the front desk this on the way out to dinner and he said he’d have it checked. When I came back late the room was still about 79. The night air was about 58 so I did the window and door thing again til I could fall asleep and close the door. But at 4am the room was unbearably hot again. So I am sitting in my room at 4am with the door open again. By this time it was cold enough outside to get the room to a comfortable 72 so I could sleep. On checkout I complained again and got a blank face. They know this doesn’t work and don’t care. Hotels should make them remove AC from their amenities.

    Need to start off by saying that for the great price they charged, you'll hardly find anything better in NYC! Friendly staff, it's clean and looks recently renovated, however it appears thatn some common areas aren't finished yet and aren't accessible. The biggest complaints are the "energy saving" features in the room....bathroom lights are on a motion sensor which doesn't realize you're in the shower, so expect sudden total darkness once or twice while you're showering where you need to open the shower and wave at the sensor. You'll get a mini-bottle of shampoo and one bar soap, prepare respectively. Also, the room A/C resets itself to 68F if you leave for a couple hours OR while you're sleeping (another energy saver?)
