Overall the stay for my wife and son was terrible. No running hot water in the shower, untidy room and the entire establishment is in disrepair. In addition, the area does not feel safe or secure. Please avoid.

I live in Big Bear Lake, 2 1/2 hr. drive down the mountain. I travel to Koreatown every 2 months to stock up on Korean food. I've stayed at $126/night motels. I decided to give Koxie Hotel a try. It was $20 more, not including parking $15 more. For $146/night, I expected well maintained room. The dry wall around the room needed restoring. I stayed on the 5th floor. Enjoyed the view. If I revisit, I won't pay $15 for parking. Instead, park on the street.

The property is on the corner, really liked the idea there is security on sight and the hotel feels safe and clean. Upon enter there is a lot of maintenance on site, not much of a big deal. Plastic here, covers there, the floor was peels off. It feels empty and too quiet but we did show up around 9:30PM.

Pictures on hotels.com were not the correct advertisement for the room we got. I understand they are going through renovations but I felt like we were bamboozled. The room we had was janky - desk caving in, crown molding not tight, and much more. It was fine for one night but I just don’t like how we were led astray.

The room was large enough for myself and my partner. The staff was friendly and quick with checkin and checkout. They advertise that there is a restaurant. It has been closed for 2 years. There is no other means of food they provide. The garage elevator doors were locked and unaccessible after 10pm. As a wheelchair user, I had to wheel up the very steep road from the garage and enter through the front door. The angle of the hill was so steep that my chair tipped backwards and I needed assistance to get up.

The hotel had a different name, making it confusing to find. It was also in the middle of being renovated, making it a mess. The pictures of the rooms were not at all similar to the room I walked into (no amenities, none of the features that were listed). There were no safety features in any of the rooms, no emergency exit guides or signs.

The furniture was old, worn out, and not very clean. I was also surprised to find a portable air conditioner in the room, which is not something I would expect from a hotel of this type. It appeared that only the shower area had been recently renovated, while the rest of the room remained outdated. In addition, I was charged $15 for parking, which I was not expecting when I made the reservation. I spoke with the front desk about the discrepancy between the Expedia photos and the actual room. However, I was simply told that Expedia had not updated the photos and that the hotel offers both renovated and non-renovated room options. Had I known that the room would not match the photos shown online, I would not have booked this hotel. I feel that the listing was misleading, and I hope I can receive a refund or some form of compensation for this experience.

I would not recommend staying here. The room I stayed in looked nothing like the Expedia photos. The room needed a huge update, broken furniture, pulled down curtains, general staining, base board corners worn down. In addition, the lobby was covered in sheet wall and clearly “under construction”. Not as advertised at all.

Not much at all! Well, after they switched our room to a suite from original room that made Motel 6 look like the Ritz the accommodations were much better. The first room did not look like the pictures and I would not have let my dog stay there. The wet dirty towel laying on the ground in the lobby of the hotel. Parking horrible. There was a roach that came to visit us while eating dinner on our second night in the upgraded suite! Not to mention, that the renovated suite's living room furniture was a bit shabby and the bathroom tile looked like it was moldy. Let's just say, I have cancelled any future stays in any hotels that remotely resemble this one and will be back to staying at 5 star hotels.

We stayed in one of the two bedroom condos which was spacious and well equipped. The front of the property appears to be closed as there is construction in the main lobby so you need to park around the back. There was security in the evening and the area has quite a few eateries as well as the Korean Galleria. The staff seemed a bit new and learning as they were going.

The first room I was given had such a loud, repetitive humming noise that I asked to be given a different room. The second room still had the loud, repetitive machine noise but it was at least a little more muted. Safe, covered, inexpensive parking ($15/day, which is cheap for LA). WiFi worked great. TV was easy to work and allows you to log in to your own streaming account. (Remember to logout after!) The beds were comfortable with multiple very nice pillows on each bed. Ask for a room away from the elevators because the doors are not very thick. My door didn’t have a security device or a cover for the peephole thing. Nice, large windows with full blackout curtains. No pool/hot tub. Really just the rooms and a small lobby. Close to DTLA and Koreatown, convenient to USC.

The area is very convenient to KTown and DTLA. Close to Staples Center and walking distance to shops and eateries. The rooms itself were very clean and staff was very polite. Got there a little too early for check in and they let me park my car so we can walk around and kill some time. There is decent amount of parking, but it can get full at night. There is security on site that will find a parking spot for you, which is nice since parking is not free. Just a heads up that the name on the building does not match Koxie as they were recently bought and are working on changing signage according to staff. Would recommend!

Honestly my room was tidy and modern. We were on the 6th floor and the view was nice, you could even see the Hollywood sign out in the distant. Bed was nice and comfy, cute mini fridge provided in room and ac was kicking. There are some tiny things that are outdated but they’re currently remodeling. Parking was $15 a night, if you compare it to other hotel parking fee's that’s nothing. Hotel location was honestly close to everything, all the activities we did were not far at all. Overall would definitely stay here again if I’m in town!

Even though there was construction going on, it didn’t seem to interfere whatsoever with our stay. The room was very clean and very modern. The beds were amazing and what really stood out was the security on the floor and in the parking he took really good care of the property And was very helpful. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Our stay here was amazing until the very end. We loved the room, our view was great, the it was close to our event. However the staff is not kind. After we left I received a call from the front desk accusing me and my friend of stealing their hairdryer when there wasn’t one in the room in the first place. They ended up charging us a fee!! The guy was incredibly rude and didn’t believe us. If you stay here take video of everything in the room as soon as you get in. Because I wish I did that to prove it wasn’t there. Overall great stay but they will scam you.

Central air conditioner must be on top of the roof and then that sound was very, very noisy by the way in my room I didn’t have a central air conditioner. They only put portable air conditioner. middle of night, I couldn’t sleep because of the noise. I called the service if they have any earplug, they don’t even have earplug, but they are aware about the noise. The machine sound, however he said he cannot help because of no other room was available, even though they knew that room has very noisy sounds they are still selling the rooms that’s not fair and the service was terrible. I couldn’t sleep for whole night. I think they’re not supposed to sell that room and they should refund me.

Hotel is in the middle of being renovated. Our original room looked nothing like the pictures. We had went downstairs to talk to front desk and they told us if we wanted it like the pictures we had to pay additional for a “Deluxe” room. We paid so we didn’t have to sleep in a yellow vintage smoked out room. We went from the 5th floor to the 6th and wow what a difference. The new room was a complete turn around. Hotel itself was nice. It’ll be better once all renovations are done. If we didn’t know about the room differences though we probably would’ve booked somewhere else for the money we paid. Overall a nicer stay in that new room though. Just make sure you book the “Deluxe”. Pretty close to a ton of restaurants.

This was the biggest bait and switch that I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room that we were given was disgusting. Tables had not even been wiped down. there were spills and dried up crusty spots all over every surface in the room. Holes in the wall. Baseboards chewed up by dogs it looked like. Old, nasty carpet. The towels seemed to be already used and then folded and hung up again. Sheets were like sandpaper even though they advertised "Egyptian cotton". A portable air conditioner on wheels with giant hoses going out the window (did not cool the room down, it was extremely hot) and it was LOUD. There was no restaurant on site (as stated in the description) what may have been a restaurant before was all boarded up. There were prostitutes walking on the street outside. We spent no more than 30 minutes in our room and found what looked like a tiny camera and we decided it was all too much and left to find a different hotel. Spent the rest of the night sitting in a parking lot across the street speaking with Expedia. The hotel eventually sent back my $200 deposit, but still charged me the parking fee. This was a horrifying experience. I am so upset with this place. Go anywhere else...not here.

We were three timid 22-year-old women traveling together, and we felt completely safe at this hotel. We arrived late at night and the atmosphere immediately put us at ease. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the receptionist who resembled Jinu from Kpop Demon Hunters was very welcoming. Our room was both pretty and spotless, and the overall vibe was comfortable and pleasant. Thank you to the kind and hard-working security guard who kept watch over the underground parking garage—his presence added an extra layer of safety and reassurance. No complaints at all—only compliments!

I was in room 515, top floor corner facing front street. Very noisey from traffic, it had an additional portable AC hooked into the front window therefore not sound proof and very noisey. No coffee or tea in room. Had to call to get Iron and board but also had to go down to pick it up and was told by the older male late in the evening, I have to bring it back which I did upon check out but then told by friendly staff I could have left it in the room. The worst part is that I got bit in several places by bed bugs and still dealing with symptoms a week out.

The receptionist and customer service was great. However, the electrical plugs in the room were loose and out of order. I couldn't charge my phone, nor was there an alarm clock in the room. I even bought a new charger and box, it still wasn't able to connect and charge my phone. This the first time I visited a hotel that did not have an alarm clock in the room. They also only charge an $20 an hour for each hour you stay over your checkout. Although it's a great price, the fact that there is no alarm clock makes it quite suspicious. I think having working electrical outlets is necessary in a hotel. Otherwise than that the decor was classic and a bit dated but generally got quality sleep. There was also a great view from my room of the Hollywood sign and mountains.

The pictures for this place are verrrry deceiving and maybe I got a really bad room, but my room was nothing like I was expecting. It was more like a motel than anything. The walls were yellow with dark lighting, the furniture had holes and scratches on them, the tables had stains like they hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom had a wet smell, the door barely locked.
