LA Royal Viking Apartments

It was overall a good stay until the last night. I was returning from a festival with my brother and wanted to grab food after as we had a long day but a man from a room 2 doors down came at us due to my car breaks making noise due to the cold weather. It turned into a whole back and forth for over an hour this man was arguing with us and was under the influence. We called LAPD and wanted for 2 hrs until finally finding another stay as we did not feel comfortable returning that night till the morning when management was present. Management was understanding of this incident and offered to refund for the night but have not received a refund for my last night and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I would be cautious when traveling to this area as it is a few blocks away from a very active night life of homeless/ those under the influence.

they offered no soap,lotion, bath towels nothing as well as no eating untensild just a room wit a bed, fridge and bathroom ABSOLUTE WORST!

This hotel seems to be a mostly residential property with locals and is a bit rough around the edges, so you gotta be comfortable with that. The check in process was a bit stressful, we didn’t get the code as promised and had to enter through the back gate and find someone to call the manager. But - the room was clean, spacious, comfy and a nice base to explore LA- in between downtown and the cooler suburbs of echo park and silver lake, and further, Hollywood. A good selection of supermarkets nearby. Note the room has cooking facilities but no crockery/cutlery, hot water or stuff to cook with so you gotta byo or improvise with the microwave. The pool was pleasant and aesthetic. All in all we had a great stay, thank you.

It's hard to say because the place is under renovation these days so I didn't see any stuff really. Front desk guy was very nice when I checked in but front desk was close on weekends.

The room was never cleaned. In the 5 days we were there we got 1 fresh towel. The bathroom window did not close and overlooked a 24 hour car wash, so there was constant noise and chemical smells in the room. There were no hangers in the closet, no chair for the table, no soap in the shower, no cups or glasses, no pictures on the wall. Very depressing place.

This property is Closed! Like no service no nothing ! Yet there still up taking people money. I went to the place two, morning and night no was was there at all! I even tried calling thousands of time and nothing! Don’t bother with this place!

It was good for the price. However there is not 24 hour concierge and once the are fully booked, no one is around the property - they do have a number you can call in case you lose you keys or emergency, but it takes 20 to 45 minutes.

Terrible conditions, I checked in and checked out right after look at the room. It was non refundable so I lost all my money. Extremely disappointed.

Stayed for 6 nights and the room was clean, bed comfortable, nice clean sheets and towels. No bugs . I felt safe. I didn’t see the office open but twice. They give you a gate code . It’s an old motel but I don’t mind the stay bc of location and PT

the first 3 rooms they gave were not clean. this place is a death trap if you are trying to avoid covid-19. they kept my desposit, im still trying to call and get it back, but they won't answer the phone. i think it's a fax machine. this place is shady.

I arrived late and the office was already closed at midnight. I was unable to check in and had to find a room elsewhere.

Well, i was feeling comfortable sleeping. The location was easy to find. The room was clean and had some basic things like a chair and air conditioning. The restroom was bigger than my expectations. The customer service was very good. The janitorial was very respectful.

Clean and quite, but I was able to play my music to my disired volume without complaints! Plus there is a despensery walking distance about half s block away.

Was booked for 4 nights added an extra 2 nights

Its amazing and the front desk guy on duty he is do nice i like him and his attitude and nice to the visitor.

Royal viking is super chill and check in isnt super late which appreciate and its quiet the double room is big lol

The manager was very nice and attentive he gave me an extra hour to check out bc I had a video interview

There were no towels or washcloths. They were removing the refrigerator when I was checking in and promised to bring a new one but didn’t.

If you can add a microwave and a bigger refrigerator it will be excellent.

Room smelled horrible. Previous guests washcloths and towels were left over. Trash and flies everywhere. Bathroom nasty. Only drayed one night so I didnt bother to complain to the ront desk. Which was extremely nice and professional. Give him a raise! Overall disgusting.

Nice and clean the swimming pool rooms clean staff very helpful, and most of all i rested very well

The motel is in a bad area, it’s difficult to access, the parking situation is horrible (rental was hit in lot). The rooms are bare minimum, beds are uncomfortable, floors were dirty, bathroom had no ventilation and was moldy. Still trying to get a refund for my early check out. I definitely would not stay there again.

Better than expected in terms of condition of the rooms, but still lives up to the stereotypical run down motel. 2 roaches spotted.

I rented this property for a week because I needed to be near downtown and wanted cheaper than the big tower hotels. Note that the office is not open all night, so the microwave in there is inaccessable to nuke a breakfast items before leaving early morning. They do have fridge in the room. Parking lot at night is a bit scary. Staff were find. I get the feeling the back half of the rooms might be month to month.

Although the surrounding area is not the best and brightest of LA, this place provides. An affordable and clean place to rest. Clean is important. And this place is ... Clean.

I miss read the rating. I thought it was 3 out of 5 stars not 3 out of 10. This pictures of the room are accurate. The room had updated paint, flooring and bedding. The beds were adequate. However, that is where it stops. The room needed a thorough cleaning of the walls and baseboards. The location was less than desirable. The Starbucks next door is brand new and helped with the bad location. We were traveling through LA and only stayed one night. I would not recommending this location for more than a place to sleep and shower. The neighborhood is very rough.

I canceled my reservation with the hotel when my friend got to the hotel and saw the physical condition, she called me and we both canceled our reservation. The room was filthy and the environment terrible.

Everything went well into the piont there was no hot water

A last minute booking for the game on Sunday night check in was fast free parking absolutely no frills place needed a place to crash after the game and this was it

The shower and sink water pressure was terrible. The electricity went out during the night and was turning on and off through the night/morning. I woke up with bug bites. Checkout was at 11 but nobody was at the front desk to assist me. Luckily my deposit was on my debit card so I was able to leave my key card at the desk and leave. If I had a cash deposit, I would have had to wait until front desk got back from lunch.
