The room was dirty with dry blood on the mirror and a lot of weird stain on the bed.

The room was well laid out, plenty of space. loved the long desk, as I was able to spread out my "stuff". The bathroom was clean and I liked the extra large toilet. the room had a small refridge, that I did not use. The location is good, plenty to do close by. The bed felt a little hard, but I am used to my soft bed at home. Also, the room heater was hit and miss (it felt like it took all night to warm up the room), it was cold weather during my stay. Parking was an issue for me. there was always a spot open, but the spots are narrow and if there is an oversized car, it might be an issue.

The heater worked well, the tv was a good size and was easy to turn on, there was a tub and plenty of towels. Microwave and fridge worked too. There's plenty space for hanging clothes and putting away. It was quite at night to sleep and the sheets were clean also. I would recommend for the location, it's pretty close to the beach. I would have liked it if they had a hair dryer, but that's about it.

There was not much that I liked about this place. It was a dump. The cleanliness of the room is in need of attention. It’s very basic. When I arrived I found cockroaches in my room. I attempted to call the front desk and the phone did not work. I walked to the front desk and nobody wa at here. I waited and nobody came. I stayed the first night. The second night I did not stay in the room, but my things were still there. The morning of checkout I cleared my stuff and made sure not to take any extra visitors with me. I went to the front desk and mentioned to them there were roaches. I was asked point blank by the staff “is this some black thing you’re trying to pull?” So not only is this place dirty and disgusting, but the owners are racist as well.

The door was kicked into in the room. Frame shattered. At least 15 roaches visible running around the room/bathroom. Toilet would not flush. I attempted to diagnose the problem but it was just broken. This was a full time residence for drug addicts

It was so bad, I left and went to another hotel.It was unbelievable.

I paid $200 for 1 night. Limited parking spaces. Terrible condition outside. Homeless sitting outside of office door. Broken windows, dirty hallways. The room is not better. Cigarettes burn blankets, bleach spot blankets. Very run down room. Shower curtains had stain. Towels had stain. The office person who checked me in was rude and acted weird looking inside my car over my shoulder and then had nerve to ask oh is that your car or did you Uber here. Not professional at all! This is such a gross place and very disappointed paying over $200 I wish I could of cancel and went somewhere else but I already paid and was given keys and left back to the beach . I didn’t return until pass 12am and I just dealt with everything went to sleep . I was nervous even sleeping in the bed because of the conditions of everything about this place

The power to the hotel was out when checking in

Horrible location, bugs everywhere, no WiFi, no hot water, stains on the towels. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Buyer beware.

the blanket had to be ripe from cigarettes and the shower curtain was very dirty that it really disgusted me to take a shower the ice machine don’t so work the chair in the room was very dirty and old

For one night just to sleep it was ok.

I booked this room for my kids and I on a 1 night stay, the room was outdated (don't let the pictures fool you) restroom door was broken so they moved us rooms and so once settling in the new room we found out that it was broken as well, shower curtain was dirty looked like mold and something else all over it. Shower head was Discussing and old, all the security locks on the doors were broken as if someone forced there selves in. I called expidia to ask for a refund and they were trying to contact the hotel to get the refund approved but they weren't answering although I could see them with phone in hand.

Roaches, bed stains, basically looked like it was two seconds away to being a movie set for a horror movie

For the price you pay it’s not worthy at all, it’s a motel! , the walls, the stairs and the showers curtain are dirty, stain on it.

Very spacious but poor quality of items felt like furniture was from goodwill..

Sheet linens were stained, found a few bugs roaming around, ac unit was old so super loud. Its a good location, that's all it has going for it. Would not stay here again.

There were tweakers banging on the doors downstairs and nobody did nothing about it even when the owner practically sleeps there. There were roaches in the room, and overall was a mess.

The rooms were a decent size, fairly clean. However, there were people screaming at all hours of the night and the walls were paper thin.

This place is way dirtier, run down and sketchy looking than any of the photos I saw. Would never stay again or recommend

The people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful but the appearance, maintenance and age of the place shows thru, carpets are very old, staircase railings are in need of some sanding and painting, the transom into my room had the floor piece half in and out, just 5 minutes and a phillips screwdriver could fix that, my TV remote didn't work half the time, the older gentlemen told me about it but no ambition to make it right. The parking is the worse for any pick up, they have four spaces up front that would work for overnight but they keep two blocked off for themselves, not for the guys who pay to stay

The front desk manager was confused with how to handle the Expedia reservation. I stayed additional nights and I was over charged two weeks later. Absolutely an inconvenience to resolve.

I liked how close the parking was to our room, it made it easy for us to get our bags up to the room.

Horrible experience, dirty rooms, poor management, parking is unsafe, dirty bathrooms, this place is not a hotel its a run down shed.

After checking in we saw our room and immediately returned to cancel our reservation; the attendant could not refund our payment, and we were forced to stay in a second room which was nominally less dirty then the first. The rooms had broken window screens, mosquitos, grafiti on the bathroom windows, dirty showers (we didn’t use these), musty smells, chipped/ stained furniture/carpets, and neighbors who fought and received paramedic attention until 2am. The worst part is the whopping price of $128 for that terrible night because I was fooled by the expedia rating and photos. Terrible.

This place wouldn’t honor what expedia had offered us. When we asked to cancel day before manager told us to contact Expedia then we worked it out with Expedia but the motel still charger us full price against Expedia agreement. Expedia honored the terms and refunded my money, the rodeway inn were very Rudy and wouldn’t take care of us.

Great place, awesome staff, clean, quiet, comfortable beds. This is a great place to stay on a budget. Couldn’t be happier. Rooms are cute and cozy 😃

Guy at check in was nice but the bathroom was clogged and they had no plunger and no maintence when I asked them to fix it so I had a toilet overflowing with feces and the smell was horrible and hey couldn’t fix it

The sheets on the bed were stained and very dirty. Hair was found throughout the sheets and blanket. The room smelled I couldn't take it. I booked another hotel and checked out.

I have had 30 a night rooms cleaner then this , pillow cases , towels, sheets all had blood stains, also cleaning person just folded the towel I used and put it back I could tell because it had the same stains on it , had to use my own sheet lucky I brought one with me , also took 20 mins just to check in , I got to window and no one was there had to ring the bell like 50 times , also the parking is horrible , woke up to cigerate ashes and butts on the trunk of my car from the balcony above

My room was a very noisy room, me and my husband couldn't sleep it all. The people who were staying in the room up from ours were walking and talking all night and we couldn’t sleep because you can hear every little sound, the floor were grinding every step. Also, there was a door that lead you to the parking that everyone including the staffs were slapping it all the time, every time they went in or out, so was impossible to get rest! I’m very disappointed.

The unique part of my hotel was nothing. The rooms where dirty. Cleaning crew does not take off the sheets when making them I had rocks and crumbs from the past people that slept there

Paid extra night and they said I could stay in the same room so we put all our things inside. Next morning they tell us we have to move because they forgot they are fixing the tile. The room they gave us had no iron or ironing board (and yes it is in the description details and yes it is a must for me), the room smelled of urine and the cable was not working. Found two spiders and the shower curtain was disgusting.

Hotel itself was average. However, they charged me 4 times! I was charged before I even arrived at the hotel to check in. They charged me twice after I left the hotel for no reason. Very frustrating

Our check in was pleasant and easy. We had a very clean and comfortable updated room. I didn't see any evidence of cigarette burns or butts anywhere. We had pleasant interactions with the front desk staff when we extended our stay. There is a restaurant down the street about a block with a great steak dinner and bloody Mary's. The patio was packed so we ate inside in great comfort with a nice waitress and staff. We took Uber to Venice beach and really enjoyed the area. We took a short walk to a Von's grocery. It was a nice hotel, a nice stay and we enjoyed the area and the people.

Had to change rooms four times. Twice because of roaches, once because of safety concerns and the last time because of noise. I kept complaining about another guests noise and behavior and they would only call and advise to cut noise level down. After three days of this, management should of evicted noisy guest.

For the 150 dollars a night, it’s a complete rip off. It’s obvious that the owners don’t care about putting the money back into the hotel. They just want to get bought out by a land developer. The rooms are dirty. The bathrooms are dirty with rust in the shower heads and dirt in the toilet base. The shower head leaks water from the connection to the wall. Windows are held together by tape. Overall horrible hotel.

The only thing I liked about the property was the LOCATION!! Parking was HORRIBLE!! The towels are HORRIBLE! The outdated comforter’s with stains are horrible! The bathroom need to be remodeled outside of the marble shower wall. I would love a REFUND!!

bad place, bed broke my lower back and had plastic under the sheet. Room smelled of smoke or even worse. Plug for electricity were not cover (imagine with 3 small children what fun!). wifi not working!

Great day and night.

The woman at check in was extremely nice, but everything else was terrible. The hotel definitely looked nothing like the pictures. There was trash on the grounds and the parking lot had no entrance directly to the lot, instead you had to walk around the building to get to the room. The shower ran warm and the heater was nowhere close to hot so I was freezing the whole time. The pillows were so thin that I asked for more and the pillow cases were stained AND dirty. I had to call the front desk several times about the noise from the room above me, another man screaming for help, and a couple arguing and literally slamming into my door at 4am! I had no sleep the whole night! I called the front desk all through the night and finally the lady at the front desk got an attitude with me and hung up and wouldn’t answer any further calls. I didn’t want to leave the room because I was terrified. Finally I made it to morning and the contenintal breakfast was toast, coffee, and some really disgusting juice. I was soooo disappointed with this hotel and definitely expected more. I wish I would’ve read the other nasty reviews before going here. A lesson well learned!

There was a lack of parking and the parking lot it did have was terrible to navigate. The enterance was the exit

So, me and my wife check in, then we decided to go to the store and come back. When we payed down for a bit. Afterward, after getting ready to go to bed we pulled the sheets and there’s a CONDOM! On the bed! We tell the staff, the guy in the front desk sweeps th condom with a broom and only gives us one clean sheet. “Dude” when that happens you clean the room over again!!! Pulling the sheets off the mattress was dirty to.”” We didn’t stay there!”” Not worth o penny. To top it off they didn’t reimburse me after showing they the dirty sheets and mattress!! Wouldn’t go back even if it was free!!

It was an overall good expericance till I was leaving the next day and seen 2 roaches in my room ! One was crawling on the bed next to the bed I was sleeping on and another on the wall, very disgusting and I will never come back

Room was pretty beat up, missing wall outlet covers, broken tv remove, cracked bathroom tile and bed linens had stains, Room also had a funky smell. Parking was bad, small lot with room for only 5 cars, have to back out to street or back in from street to park.

Black Mold in bathroom , around toilet, tub and floor. The rest of the room was ok but had a little smell of mildue. The person who signed me in was very short on giving information and said he would only give instructions once and would not be available again. There was not a bathroom to use in the small lobby you had to check in to use your room bathroom. You could not pay me to stay there . The parking was terrible. There were 2 parking stalls blocked off so you could not use them in front of the motel. This motel should not be recommended to any one but the homeless.......Steve G.

After the 4th roach I found in my, I left. Once I saw the one on the bed, I grabbed my bags and left. The front desk offered a replacement room but no way I was going to have a good night sleep knowing what I found in an adjacent room. Hotel refused to issue refund, but Expedia said they would give me a voucher.

Just came up from San Diego for an over night, our annual LA trip. We booked late, but still got in .

The breakfast was not good. Prepackaged Donuts and a cup of coffee. I stayed at another Rodeway in Barstow a day earlier. They made our breakfast, provided multiple juice items, and included pancakes, waffles and eggs.

Usually I don't complain but the place was a mess dirty with cockroaches.

This hotel was very disappointing. Way overpriced and dirty hotel. Linen was dirty and roaches in this hotel. The parking was lousy as well. I would not recommend this hotel.

The service here was horrible. And the room smelled like it hadnt been cleaned.

Stayed here for only one night with my family which included two kids. The hotel is a little older and parking is hard to get if you plan on getting to your room at later hour. I had to park in parking lot or left side of a side street and then got up early to move it to an open parking space that next morning. The parking area is a very tight squeeze and if you have a larger vehicle then your better off staying in the parking lot. The room was not the greatest but not the worst. The shower worked fine. The room I had was a little tight cause one of the beds was close to bathroom door. Some of the lighting fixtures were not working. The AC & TV worked fine. The rooms was just basic and a place to lay your head to sleep. I did have a issue where one of the pillow cases had hair on it from previous guest. Luckily I bought my own pillow and disregarded that particular one.The bed was comfortable. This is no four star hotel so don't expect any lavish amenities. Its a room with four walls, working bathroom , working AC and some worn fixtures but they work. Room had a microwave and fridge. The door security could be upgraded a little as my security lock was a little broken (frame came off the door slightly but I was able to get it nailed it back in).

My husband and I are so glad our experience was a good one. Our accommodations were safe, clean and priced within reason. What mattered the most was the staff's gracious hospitality, which never waned during our stay. From the moment we checked in, I was treated like family, thanks to this facility's dedicated manager-in-charge, Ron. I recommend Rodeway Inn Near Venice Beach for anyone seeking a temporary home-away-from-home place.

Bed was comfortable but room itself needs an update. Bathroom mirror had dark stains, sheets were stain and i guess cleaning lady forgot to flush there was poop in the toilet when we got there

I paid too much (they wont let me say specific price) for a dark stinky room. It seriously smelled like urine. The room looked clean, but the smell was bad. The staff was so-so, not the worst & not the best. I'd definitely rather get a cheaper air bnb or a different hotel next time. TV is basic, no cable. Location is pretty good, though there are some sketchy characters at the motel.
