    The breakfasts are mostly processed food so we skip them and drink the coffee. Sometimes I'll pick up a banana. The Hampton rooms often seem to have "short" violets so it's hard to get up and down.

    The hotel itself was just okay , but the check-in experience definitely got things off to a disappointing start. The front desk staff came across as rushed and not particularly welcoming, which was surprising considering the level and reputation of the property. After a long day of travel, a little friendliness would have gone a long way. That said, once we got settled in, the experience improved significantly. The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, the atmosphere was quiet, and the overall property was attractive and relaxing. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and other staff members throughout the hotel were much more pleasant and accommodating. The amenities were great, and the location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. Despite the rocky first impression, the quality of the hotel itself helped make up for it. I would likely stay here again, but I do think the front desk staff could improve their customer service and make guests feel a little more welcomed upon arrival. First impressions matter. The lady at check in was less than friendly. Every hotel let me add to my Hilton Honors points at check in. This lady told me I couldn’t use them because booking.com was a third party. Which is untrue.

    This is our second stay at Hampton in Macon. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint:the bathtub is very slick! Be careful when stepping in. Our room was pet friendly and convenient to the back door. Breakfast was delicious with a variety to choose. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

    I requested a room on first or second floor. No rooms available on first so i requested a room closest to the stairwell as i travel with a pet that will not ride the elevator. I was put in 216 which was no where near the stairs. I was booked for 4 days and the hotel was empty 2 of those days. Alao the fridge in the room would not get cold. Spoiled my meat & yogurt that i had in the fridge. Left a day early because of the room situation that i had already paid for.

    When I tried to check in, I had one kind of rude lady And one very nice lady. Hotel clean. You can hear everything from the hall in your room. The front desk gave someone keys to a room that already had people checked into it. However the breakfast is very good. And the women that work breakfast are the nicest people ever. They really took good care of us. The pool was nice, but the work out room was dingy and did not have dumbbells.

    Upon arrival there was a roach at the counter. The front desk lady killed it and stated pest control just left. Assuming bugs would come in due to the heat increasing in the area it wasn’t a total flop. She allowed us to check in early which was great. We opted out from eating anything unpackaged. The pool area needed some attention. The light in the pool was broken off hanging in the pool. The pool was very large and kids enjoyed it. Later in the evening we interacted with 2 other staff members to assist with freezing our ice packs one was very friendly and told us they would be happy to freeze them offered bags and when we brought them down another one huffed and puffed “oh your the ice pack people” not friendly and when leaving she was still there annoyed we were retrieving our packs.

    Upon leaving there was a large fight with several people. Started with a bl male, black female and another bl female. Soon it grew to a wh female recording with her phone. More bl females joined, another bl male joined in. This was in the back parking lot. I had to lock myself into my car and wait for them to stop for my husband to join me. I beleive some of the people were employees. I also contacted the police.

    Dining options near the property were limited and you need your car to get to them. We like the option to walk after a long drive. We did agree for just an overnight stop it was convenient to the I -75 and was happy with the over all stay.

    The hotel property was nice. We had stayed in a Homewood Suites that had been remodeled the night before so it really set the bar high for the Macon hotel. When we first checked in the lady who helped us was not very welcoming, maybe she was having a bad day. The next morning we had breakfast and the lady taking care of the breakfast area actually picked up our plates. She was great. Definitely would stay here again.

    1. Two cockroaches, one on the wall and one on the bathroom floor. We were told by the front desk that this has been a challenge on the third floor since Hurricane Helene. 2. The bathroom vanity faucet is too short to wash hands over the sink, therefore water goes all over the vanity.

    This is the second time we stayed at the Macon Hampton Inn. The hotel is clean and safe. Located near fast food restaurants and a Kroger grocery store directly off of the main highway. The staff is friendly. This is also a pet friendly hotel which we appreciate.

    The property had just cleaned the carpets in the rooms when I stayed here. They mentioned the carpets were damp, but that was an understatement. They were very wet. It was uncomfortable walking around and the socks I had on that were once white turned a gross shade of yellow. They should not rent out rooms that have just been serviced in this manner. It makes for a very unpleasant stay for the customer.

    Very disappointed in the Hampton Inn. I paid for two rooms via Expedia. Upon arrival to the hotel, they charged me another $160 that had to be reimbursed. The staff was discourteous and unattractive. We had a non smoking room that was dirty and smelled like very heavy cigarette smoke. I do not recommend this stay.

    Very good stay. Only one thing was wrong. The toilet was clogged, but easily fixed once they delivered a plunger. Maybe thought they should unclog, but it was alright that I had to do it. They offered to change my room, but we declined due to us being tired from driving all day and didn’t feel like moving.

    I got to Hampton at 2:40 p.m. Room not ready "until 3." Came back at 3:50 p.m. "Room not ready. System down. Can't give you a room. Can't cancel because reservation is with Hotel.com." Acted like they didn't care that I had a 5:30 meeting at another location. No one on phone for Hotel.com. Lots of wasted time. Finally got into room about 4:45 p.m. Room was very nice & comfortable.

    very one was nice. but when i went to go swinging in the pool the weater in the pool was nasty once it had some thing black in it and it had treast in the so i got out. I let the front desk person know. I'm a person who enjoy sweming and the reson i pick this holet because thay had a inside pool i was very de to me.

    Everyone was very kind the room was spacious and clean. The pool was wonderful and my little great granddaughter loved it. The breakfast was a terrific way to get us on the road, and the little snack sack that they have each of us when we left was an added bonus.
