First disappointment came at breakfast time. Went downstairs looking for a restaurant to have breakfast. All they had was a continental style breakfast. Nothing special about it. Most hotels offer it free. But when we finished eating, the server working the floor handed us our bill. $19.00 including tax. Definitely not worth that since you have to serve yourself. Next thing was in the ladies restroom in the lobby. Apparently someone had an accident and left residual "poop" on the floor. Looks like it had been there for awhile. My room was clean and comfortable and my only complaint was the room phone didn't work. I was trying to reach my friend down the hall, so I walked down there and turns out hers didn't work either. Im guessing that they assume everyone has a cellphone.

The electricity went out and was out for several hours, most hotels have generators. It was so hot. The pillows were the size of throw pillows and very hard.
- 4/5
There was a variety of items to choose from. The staff was very professional and accommodating after we experienced a 2 hour power outage. They took care of breakfast for both days. Thank You Angeles It was very clean and the cleaning staff was professional and smiled each time they saw me and my niece coming or going. They also honored us by not disturbing us during our stay.
- 2/5
Beds were horribly firm, which resulted in a bad nights sleep. Pillows (half size) felt like rocks. General room maintenance was poor. Bathroom door was deteriorating. Curtains shredded. Expected more for the 200+ price range we paid

On par with other Marriott Hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was not inviting, so we stayed and ate at the Hotel.

The room was very outdated, especially the bathroom, which clearly needs renovation. More importantly, the overall cleanliness was lacking. The space did not feel fresh, and the carpet had an unpleasant odor that made the room uncomfortable. The biggest issue, however, was the noise. I was abruptly awakened by a neighboring guest screaming loudly during sex, which was extremely disruptive. I have stayed in many hotels over the years and have never experienced anything like that coming through the walls. It made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the hotel felt more like a low-tier motel than a Marriott. It did not meet the standard I expect from this brand, and I would not stay here again.

- 5/5
Location was great Staff very friendly Close to the highway NA
- 5/5
Clean. THEE BEST STAFF. Great parking and facilities!
- 2/5
Very disappointed there was NO HOT water in the morning to shower. Let water run way longer than necessary in hopes of getting it hot... Hand washed and left not to return again.
- 2/5
We were put in a room next to a room that had a dog in it. Usually patrons with pets are on a separate floor. Dog barked during the night. Other patrons on floor did not follow quiet hours, we didn't sleep well due to the disruptions. Facility and staff were great, adherence to Marriott rules by patrons, poor. My previous Marriott experiences have been great, not this one.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Perfect if you’re doing anything at the convention center or coliseum.
- 2/5
The hotel was overbooked and my booking got bumped to another, less expensive, hotel 10 miles down the road with no reimbursement for the price change or the inconvenience.
- 5/5
Our room was ready at 3 pm, which was great. We were met with smiles at the front desk and the clerk made sure the room points were put on my Bonvoy number. Our room was clean, the bed was super comfy and best of all - the folks at the bar that night were so friendly and when we ordered food it came out hot and tasty. An excellent stay all around. My only complaint (and not that bad) was at 10:30 am, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and interrupted us to see if they could clean the room. Since checkout was 11 am, they could have cleaned other rooms that they knew were empty earlier. A small inconvenience, but you asked. :)
- 5/5
Wonderful accommodations - for a quick, and unexpected overnight due to adverse weather conditions in reaching our final destination.
- 2.5/5
I like that it’s a decent hotel compared to those around other than that would prefer Embassy Suites because they offer fantastic free breakfast, staffs super friendly and accommodating, locations always great, of and don’t know why Marriot charging for parking. My check-in staff Dawn it’s a little over dramatic and like to speak over guests while they’re trying to ask questions. Appreciate her knowledge but bit much show off. The one took over the evening shift she’s fantastic and so helpful knowing we’re not locals making us feel like home and welcoming.
- 2/5
The room was old and dated. It needed a lot of TLC. The rate was twice what others were offering so I had an expectation of a nicer hotel and Marriott did not deliver.
- 2/5
The ice maker didn't work on our floor,tv color was off blue looking and no hot water to take a shower or in the sink ,but i will say staff at desk when check in was nice
- 3.5/5
The room (315) the carpet was damp. And it had a musky smell. I keep my shoes on at all times.

We loved the hotel stay for one night but the bed was HORRENDOUS! It was so uncomfortable that we couldn't even sleep. Was going to stay another night but quickly cancel that after the worst bed ever experience. GERI WAS AMAZING AND SHE DESERVES ALL HER FLOWERS!
- 5/5
It was a very nice place and the staff was awesome. No complementary coffee bar. The room did have a coffee make but only two cups for our party of four.

Great Stay!
- 5/5
A Good hotel with great customer service
- 2.5/5
Noisy withb trains and semi trucks all night long. Couldn't get a wake up call because the front desk wouldn't answe the phone
- 4/5
Restaurant was mediocre
- 5/5
Great stay for a night in Macon. I'm somewhat picky about places I lay my head at night & this one nails it. It's an older hotel, but not in an outdated way. Every person I encountered that worked here was pleasant & helpful. I'll stay here again.
- 4/5
Overall, a good value
- 5/5
Clean room. Great bar downstairs. Easy check in. Nice experience all around!
- 5/5
It was wonderful. The staff was pleasant as well as helpful!
- 3/5
The staff is awesome - really good people and super friendly. The property is tired and Macon is a basket case of poor policy and rampant homelessness and debased people. Homeless people welcomed themselves into the lobby and there is poor security
- 5/5
The spaciousness and comfort. Nothing at all
- 4.5/5
Room was nice and big! Bathroom was spacious! Right off of the interstate but never heard a noise!
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 4/5
The hotel was clean, the staff were very helpful and responsive to any needs. The room was humid even with the AC on continuously. The humidity even caused the sheets to feel damp.
- 4/5
The property was in an ideal spot. The riom was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the temperature was very uncomfortable throughout the facility. The air was so cold many people in our party got sick...
- 5/5
Great service and staff
- 5/5
Absolutely stunning. I was overall amazed at the beauty of this hotel. I highly recommend you take a trip and stay.
- 2/5
My card was used multiple times and charge. When I already paid for the stay up front.
- 5/5
Air conditioning was sketchy at night for us but overall a pleasant experience. Very very nice staff.
- 3/5
Breakfast was overpriced.
- 4/5
Ok stay. It was Graduation AND Memorial day weekend. I ended up next to a dog one night and a baby the next. Other than the street noise, the constant vibrations from the equipment room below me weren't so bad.
- 5/5
Such a great place. Melanie at the desk was very helpful and professional. Well done Marriott.
- 5/5
Location wasn't convenient
- 3/5
Very clean & comfortable. Front desk people seemed to be annoyed when checking in. Restaurant was good but way understaffed.
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
Water leak in 7th floor- fans everwhere
- 3/5
Bath products smelled like pinesol. Towels were paper thin. For rate charged both should have been better.
- 4/5
It was close to the arena
- 3/5
Nice hotel, very comfortable rooms, but everything is extra - internet connection, room phone didn't work, extra charge to park which wasn't a covered parking tower. Fairly pricey based on other nice hotels I've stayed
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and hotel was very nice and clean
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Lots of people hanging out in entrance area.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
No streaming on television. Internet out on property I guess due to construction.
- 5/5
My experience from the front desk, the bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaning crew simply exceeded my expectations.
- 5/5
Everyone at Marriott Macon City Center was amazing - from the housekeeping staff to the restaurant/bar to the front desk. We had a wonderful stay there, and we look forward to returning again soon!
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay here at this hotel… Super nice & clean
- 5/5
Will be back
- 5/5
Quick short stay but it was worth it.
- 1/5
Unconcerned
- 3/5
The front desk staff are super friendly and as accommodating as they can be. The room I booked had robes listed as an extra. No robes. Hotel doesn’t have them. Really not a big deal. Prior to heading out noticed the comforter had a stain. Pulled back and the bed was dirty. Front desk changed rooms. It happens. New room in hand and bed checked headed out. Came back and thought why not visit the hot tub/ whirlpool and relax. Follow the signs. It doesn’t exist. Oh well at least the breakfast buffet they advertise on site and on the walls was something to look forward to. Went to bed and turned the air on. Room was warm due to being unseasonably warm. Woke up at 3 AM to realize the AC had no cool air. In fact…hot. Closed. Order a la carte. Stale croissant and hot chocolate. Barista used Swiss Miss. Same packet as the coffee area. Hotel is way to pricey for Macon area not to maintain or even approach the standards Marriott is known for. When I mentioned all the things that were closed or supposed to come with the room, they said they should update the website. But the website sure knew I was gonna pay $10 to park in a completely empty abandoned looking parking lot… With security lol
- 3/5
much for the current conditions.
- 5/5
The overall stay was good, room nice and clean bed comfortable, but the guy who checked me in wasnt to welcoming.
- 1/5
We made reservations for 2 rooms. We got their and they said they were completely booked that hotel.com ahould not have allowed us to book. So we left made another reservation at another hotel and we get therr get unpacked and they tell us the exact same thing!!!! We have not been credited for these rooms. This is such bad business. I have been on the phone and been hung up on twice this morning. Tried to talk by chat with 0 help.
- 2/5
While the staff in lobby was fine- a 2 hour wait for our meal, then they served it to go. No air, phone, clock in room. No manager on site. No blankets
- 4/5
Bar/restaurant were a little overwhelmed and out of beer on tap! I think there was a bigger party than they were expecting. No hair dryer in the room was a bummer and discovered last minute so didn’t want to wait.
- 3/5
The staff were lovely and it was nice to find a restaurant on site. But the first room I was given had no running water. Second room was a mildew farm, ugh that bathroom was sketchy - even the hair conditioner bottle was covered in black crud
- 3/5
Bad area Charges you $10 to park in lot! WITHOUT TELLING YOU! just charges your card! Where else would you park your car? Bed sheets did not fit bed and came off as soon as you got into beds
- 5/5
All we wanted was a nice clean quiet stay and that’s what we got. When we venture to Macon, GA, this is the only place that we have stayed. Why mess with perfection???
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Cleanliness.
- 5/5
It was a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I would stay there again.
- 3/5
Overall it was a nice stay, but the area around the hotel was not the best, felt very unsafe, and the carts for luggage were broken. I would say it was nice overall, but did not meet my expectations that I’ve build with past Marriott stays experiences.
- 4/5
Complained of tv problem twice. Said couldn’t be replaced until it totally quit. It did at 6:30 this morning. But - Staff was friendly and food in restaurant was good. Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Great as always
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in. The employees were all very friendly and made us feel welcome. The property grounds and our room were very clean. Look forward to staying here in the future!
- 2/5
Hard to know anything about the property our check-in was delayed 2 1/2 hours even though we arrived past the 4:00p check-in time. Had a concert to attend so we had to leave. The notification that our room was ready came at 7:45p.
- 1/5
Ice machine didn’t work had to leave 4 floor to go all way down to the 2nd floor… was told several times that it worked!!! Bed was like spring was gone in it ! Room 424
- 3/5
My television was old & did not work well. I called the front desk & was eventually moved to another room for a better television. The maintenance guy was really nice.
- 3/5
This is a nice hotel. Big negative, hiding fees. These should simply be included in listed price and not added after. This is unethical marketing. Expedia shoud address this with all hotels that charge standard extra fees, and demand that be listed beside the price for the hotel. $25 for parking and $25 for blah, blah, blah you find out when you check in. All prices listed should just be $50 more. I am a Marriott member, platinum expedia traveller and will not stay here again although the hotel is convenient to my frequent travel and a nice hotel.
- 4/5
Very spacious room with large and comfortable double bed. Everything in room such as fridge and microwave plus laundry facilities nearby was very useful and much appreciated. Very good value for the price we paid. All staff were excellent. We shall stay in a Marriott hotel again.
- 3/5
There was MOLD on the furniture! There was mold and crusty old food on the desk chair in the room. If they can't even clean off a chair, how clean can the linens and carpet be?
- 3/5
There was a long line at check in, apparently because part of the system was not working. There was a fan/vent in the shower caked with dust. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The shower didn’t get hot enough. Housekeeping was knocking and tried to enter my room at 9AM while I was getting ready. I thought Marriott would be better than this.

Great stay
- 1/5
I have stayed here a dozen times but I will never stay here again. The night shift tin badge security guard is on a power trip.
- 5/5
Second time staying. Friendly service. Comfortable beds. Quiet and clean room.
- 4/5
Clean comfortable with a bar, coffee shop, gym, pool - water was pretty cold but it kept our little one happy for a few hours. Great stop of I75 - stopped on our way down and back.
- 5/5
Safe
- 5/5
Always very comfortable and accommodating.
- 5/5
The hotel did not have my reservation. Not sure if the problem was with Marriott or Travelocity. The front desk receptionist was wonderful
- 3/5
Construction going on, workers and wires, noise, no restaurant. Could not be helped but wish I had come a different time.
- 3/5
No Resturant
- 5/5
We only stayed in town for one night but property was a close Uber to the downtown area. Would recommend to other travels in the area!
- 1/5
Booked online, got to hotel, was not told it was under construction. Our room had a workman in it installing lights. Was given a free breakfast ticket "for the inconvienance. The bathroom sink on the room did not drain. The main lobby by the restaurant and bar had workmen working with loud equipment til well after 9. Tries to charge us for wifi but we are members, made to pay for parking and extra 10.00. Ridiculous.
- 3/5
The staff didnt give me a parking pass at check in when i specifically asked if i needed one and where to park. Night shift staff gave me one when i got back to the hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice
- 5/5
I loved everything
- 4/5
The front desk ladies were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. Nothing fancy but enough selection to please most everyone. Small city so the hotel isn't far from most places but it's about a mile's walk from downtown with a lot of road construction on the way.
- 3/5
Had to lug our luggage up to the fifth floor because no bellman or carts, suggest bringing your own cart if you are checking in at a popular time
- 4/5
The hotel was convenient and service was good, but was a bit pricey.
- 5/5
Love this hotel
- 1/5
phone system did not work. Neither the bar or the room TV could get the Thursday night football game. Had trouble checking in because the system did not work. Only breakfast choice was a $13.99 extensive breakfast. In the past a light breakfast was included with the room. I have written to Marriott customer service two weeks ago with no response. The bar could not call our room to tell us to come pick up our room service. We waited and waited and finally had to go down to the bar to pick it up. Very disappointed . We have stayed at the property a number of times. Likely no more.
- 5/5
Great stay, will continue to stay there for business meetings.
- 2/5
The property is under renovation so there were supplies in the hallway and it looked unappealing. The doors were hard to open and close as if they had been painted shut. The ballroom chairs were disgustingly stained. There was limited food to order because of the renovation. And I was charged $40 extra dollars for an upgrade. What the upgrade was I still don’t know. Very disappointed in my stay here.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Light fixtures in room was rusted, chair at desk was torn up and ripped and there wasn’t even a remote for the TV in the room.
- 2/5
The front staff was not friendly. There was a broken glass in the fridge. There was blood on the sheets. This was brought up to the front desk and was received with a defensive attitude. A discussion about moving rooms was had but was told it was late and could be difficult. Drinks were purchased and the incorrect change was given back.
- 3/5
We were there for a conference and while I understand they weren't able to allow us to check in early, I was surprised that a hotel of this caliber was not able to text/email when our room was ready. We just had to keep checking back. Just a bit disappointed overall given the rate we paid.
- 3/5
The staff was great but the rooms were dirty.
- 1/5
Sheets had sperm stains moved to another room, given free breakfast and the chocolate milk was expired, which I looked after my first drink.
- 2/5
The breakfast menu was not available-only a limited Buffett for $17 tax that was not much better than free continental at some hotels. After looking at the food and one of the covers closing loudly - from across the room a restaurant worker yelled at me for “slamming it down” and then two others joined in as we were walking away - to get breakfast elsewhere. We have stayed here many times over the years - but will not make that mistake again.
- 4/5
The air conditioner unit makes a super loud thumping noise, not great when you try to sleep. The attendant at night seemed bothered when he had to get up and open the door for us. Other than that the property is clean and kept.
- 4/5
Donald checked us in. He was awesome. The whole staff was nice.
- 3/5
The lamp shade in the room looked like it had mildew on it, and the faux leather chair at the desk in the room, was peeling
- 5/5
Nice staff, clean hotel.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Was very good condition and safety and service
- 5/5
It was walking distance to the concert venue.
- 5/5
BREAKFAST WAS GREAT!! BARTENDER MADE EVERYONE FEEL RIGHT AT HOME!! BEDS WERE EXCELLENT.
- 4/5
The shower was horrible. No water pressure.
- 4/5
Convenient location and easy to get to. Everyone was very accommodating and gracious. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 3/5
The hotel was convenient. The people at the desk were nice. I prepaid, but one of the clerks charged me again, but when checking out, everything was straightened out. I think the hotel is a old, ended up killing a roach in the bathroom. Not sure if its the hotel cleanliness or the guest....so hopefully that was just a one off. Other than that, everything is fine. People were nice and parking was easy.
- 5/5
very clean and spacious, staff extremely friendly and helpful. would stay here again.
- 5/5
Have they changed management? My twelfth stay. Much improved since a year ago.
- 4/5
Receptionist was very friendly and thorough
- 4/5
The hotel is in a central location, well maintained, and comfortable. Unfortunately when they took my card for incidentals they charged me for the room a second time. The manager was supposed to reverse the charge and email me a corrected receipt but that has yet to happen so now I have to start the process of calling…
- 5/5
Clean, modern, quiet. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful
- 3/5
The only thing that was a BIG annoyance was being awakened at 630 am saying there was emergency in building, and everyone needed to exit the building…. We then heard rumors in hall that it was a false alarm. My aggravation, was that they didn’t announce it was All clear, this is false alarm, so we could have gone back to sleep.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Friendly front desk. Comfortable beds and totally clean rooms. Good location!
- 5/5
Walk from hotel to Coliseum needs more lighting.
