2. Very few towels were in the room. There was NO SOAP . I kept walking downstairs to complain but the one maid said that she was alone and would eventually help us. 3. The halls were filthy from construction. They should NEVER have sold us a room! The hotel should have been closed! 3. I felt scammed. I paid over $700 for those rooms. Holiday Inn took my money and did not provide us with a comfortable stay. The rooms were NOT CLEANED! The halls and the elevators were filthy. We constantly heard banging and drilling from the poor plumbing. I felt like Holiday Inn had stolen money from me!

I give one unit of feedback because I was given a room in which the fire alarm worked, it took me a very long time to change it. And I am also a truck driver who came to the parking lot of this hotel in his truck, and they did not give me a permit, which, it turns out, needed to be put in the truck so that it would not be towed. At the reception, no one gave me a permit and no one said that I needed a permit in the morning when I woke up and went to the parking lot, my truck was towed, it turns out that the hotel and the towed company have an agreement, in general, they are scammers, they do not warn that the truck can be towed together with the trailer and in the morning you will have a surprise, in the end I paid $ 1,400 for towing

I booked and paid for double beds. Upon arriving, I ending up with a king size bed. There was a lot of dust and the facilities were outdated. Generally when booking with Holiday Inn my expectation is four to five stars. Unfortunately this time around it didn’t meet those expectations

As a HolidayInn Property, this location was quite disappointing. Our family member's room had bed bugs. She was then moved to another room and it had roaches. There was no breakfast provided. Not enough towels. When asked for more I was provided with 1. The only reason I didn't give it one star was because the bug situation didn't happen in my room. The best part of the stay was the restaurant- Round table formerly Bar Louie.

The 2nd room had hard, uncomfortable beds. Bathroom also missing supplies and adequate towels. Hallway and room smelled bad on 5th floor. Construction going on, this was unexpected and we were not fore warned. The hallways also look as though it has not been vacuumed all week. Housekeeping or other staff not available to bring up extra towels at 9am. Then when we went down to get them ourselves, they still didn't have enough or appropriate towels, stating another guest got to them first. Very uncomfortable and disappointing! Will not be staying here in the future.

Bathroom was leaking and the toilet was bad. My grandchildren didn't want to use the restroom at all. Had a few ladybugs that we were afraid on several walls by the window. I killed one right on the top of my granddaughters head board.

I gave stsyed at this property for mamy years, and it has really gone down. Bedskirt had spots on them, bathtub had standing water while taking a shower- do you always had water up to approximately your ankle. No wash clothes, only nath and face tiwels, even after i called, housekeeping never brought them, nor the next day. I was there for 2 nights and room never got cleaned. I recommended this property to my family that was traveling for a funeral and they were all very disappointed. Sad to say the best part was the bar...

We like the Restaurant. We did not like: the long walk from the front desk to the elevator; the security door on the first floor by the parking, is NEVER secured; room coffee machines dont work, neither do the phones or the hair dryers. In addition, there is a great pool area, but it is dry! Sad hotel it is becoming

The staff must have given someone keys to my room at 0100 because while i had the safety locks off, waiting for pizza, someone used a key and just walked into my room. Not cool. The front desk didn't even question my account of the event and immediately offered up a discount. She knew she messed up.

I took about 30 minutes to check in because it took the gentleman already at the desk that long to get a parking permit. It took us 5 min. When we got to our room we found crumbs on the desk, A very dusty phone, a greasy TV remote and bath towels that were very thin and slightly larger than hand towels. When we called the desk at 7 am the next morning we were told housekeeping doesn't arrive until 8am. We called a few minutes after 8, and we were told housekeeping doesn't start til 9am. When we explained that we were previously told 8am she stated "Well, you were misinformed". Upon checking the bathtub we found black shoe tracks on the front edge of the tub. After immediately packing and exiting the room we found housekeeping working at the end of the hall and observed they had been in several rooms with doors open. Obviously the staff at the desk do not want to provide any kind of service and the rooms are minimally cleaned. We are normally giving a lot of credit to staff on booking.com rooms but felt compelled to report our experience.

Beds were very firm, soft pillows. Great water pressure. Hand soap dispenser was empty. Towel wasnt clean. Didnt look like floor had been vacuumed, floor was dirty and had to hold handle down for toilet to flush completely. Property was under construction. I didnt care for a "club" in the lobby which required a strong police presence and was very noisy

Hotel seems like it basically shut down with covid and never came back. Elevator and hallways were filthy from construction. Little things like buttons for the elevator with broken covers. Missing a regular coffee pod in the room, didnt end up mattering because in the morning i found the coffee maker didnt work anyway. Sink took nearly 5 full minutes to get warm water. Shower took even longer because it took me a bit to figure out the pipes were hooked up backwards and had to set to cold then wait. Bar louie downstairs turns into a night club after dark, people milling around parking lot/lobby and very loud.

Check in was an hour late due to staff shortness, communication was terrible cause no one speaks english.. my daughter broke out in hives and something bit me which cause medical to go to the urgent care and had to get a shot for allergic reaction. Management thought 50 was ok to credit back don't go here unless u check beds and rooms. Otherwise the young lady at front desk cool ?.. very helpful the lightskinned one with braids kudos to her only.. Other than that 0 ratings to staying

Wished the pool had been open. We had to make 3 trips to the desk because the room key stopped working even keeping it away from phones and other keys/cards. The batteries in the remote were dead and the staff struggled to find new ones. We had to visit 3 different floors to find a working ice machine. One of the pillow cases on the bed had blood stains on it. The only good things were the location and the convenience of a restaurant on site.

The person at the front desk was nice, but when our key didn’t work. She kept asking were we sure. We received another set of keys and they did not work for the room either. We had to ask for towels, blankets for the sofa bed. There was no cups for drinking water. There was construction on the floor we were staying on. They don’t tell you they are under construction.

I wish I could rate this place a negative 1. I had a reservation for Saturday, 8/24. When we arrived to the property at approximately 10 pm, they had given our room away. No explanation, just a flimsy sorry. So, instead of being able to get some rest, I had to take the 2 1/2 hours drive back home. What is the point of a reservation if you're not you're not going to hold the room?So disappointed in Holiday Inn Express Matteson. You guys have to do better!

We came in late. The front desk staff was wonderful. The bar looked fun, as the music was loud and folks were partying. That was all good. But the first room we were given didn’t work because our keys wouldn’t open the lock. The second room we were given didn’t work because the toilet would not flush. The third room we were given the air conditioner unit was off the wall and on the floor. It took four tries to get a room with a lock, a toilet, and an air conditioner. The carpet was questionable. The linens were clean but threadbare. I can’t believe this hotel has kept the Holiday Inn name. It was unlike any other I’ve stayed in.

The landscaping is full of weeds, parking lot wasn’t much better. Hotel was fairly clean, but outdated. There is construction going on, however it never bothered us on the second floor. TV was brand new in the room. Check in and out was seamless. Staff was very nice. Bar Louie, not great. Food was good but service definitely lacked. Pool is closed indefinitely (didn’t affect my review, but just a heads up)

Nothing The hotel is dirty, the smell of hashish is everywhere, the bathroom is disgusting, and on top of that, it was a terrifying night for my children because the fire alarm went off in our room for no reason. If I had not come down and asked to change the room, otherwise this inconvenience would have lasted until the morning.

My stay was okay but these are a few things that should be changed. My checkout times was 1pm but I checked out earlier. Please keep the only restaurant in the hotel open until at least 2pm. I wanted to get breakfast but could not because breakfast the restaurant closed at 10am, really?? There was only a 1/2 a roll of toilet tissue in my hotel room, really?? I did know know that some hotels still had teeny tiny bars of soap, you do. Thank goodness I had my own. Other than that, my bed was comfortable.

The property is in a nice area but it’s outdated and can use some upgrading. The walls in my room were peeling up and basically falling apart. The sheets were dirty and I saw a live bug immediately when walking in. Shower was old and dirty. I’d say this hotel is ok for a one night stay if absolutely needed outside of that I wouldn’t recommend.

Overall okay service until we woke up next morning to our semi truck and trailer being towed from a fraudulent rapid recovery towing stating that we didn’t have the parking pass in the truck. My husband and I went back to put the parking pass in the truck right after we got it from checkin. The manager allegedly called and said sorry nothing they can do if they can’t see parking pass. It seemed a little convenient that the manager had a too bad can’t help you attitude. Hotel is old needs to be updated in general. It’s an OK older hotel. I would never suggest anyone to go there because if anything ever happens, they won’t support any issue the customer may have.

My experience was all over the place from the beginning to the end.. I wasn’t able to get checked in until after about an hour. I was giving 3 rooms and the key never worked so after traveling back n forth 3 times I finally was able to get in the room. I was disturb to find out around midnight somebody used a key to get in my room! I was caught off guard because had I not been there they would’ve had access to all my belongings and after not being able to get checked in for an hour you would think nothing else would go wrong but this has NEVER happen

Well, my review has nothing to do with the facility but everything to do with payment to Hotels.com I used a new payment option (Affirm) that paid Hotels.com who in turn was SUPPOSED to pay the hotel .. that never occurred. And after visiting my mother in Hospice for the past month, the funeral was this week. With that said, all my other credit cards were totally tapped. Luckily for me the hotel took my new card while I canceled my Hotel.com payment.
