Nothing. Bugs in the window sill, hair left in the shower, floors extremely dirty and would turn your feet black, we had a non smoking room and our room with our baby smelled like weed and other tobacco products.

Nothing The man at the front desk was rude. The room was nasty. The bed had hair all in it and it had a cigarette burn in the sheets when I went back to tell the guy at the front desk he was really rude. I couldn’t even sleep right because it was so dirty and I didn’t even really wanna lay in the bed.

Nothing It was simply grotesque. Cannot believe the owners/operators allow this slum to continue to allow the appearance and outdated facilities, beds, curtains, pillows, and carpet. All of which have stains. No one had dusted in our room in probably months. There were light fixtures and bulbs that didn’t work also. Even our bath towels were clearly not fresh. 2 nights in this crap hole for $250 total. At least they allowed my dog, which is why I didn’t relocate after the first nights stay.

I don’t recall the name of the gentleman that checked me in shortly after midnight Saturday into Sunday, but he was extremely kind and helpful when my friend and I were in a bind and made what was a disastrous night into a night that allowed us to breathe and get some much needed rest.
- 2.5/5
Location was good When we got to our room the door was opened so we entered slowly and checked everything out before we entered.
- 1.5/5
The price for the place was gouging for last minute , the being was scary

Airline stranded me due to a cancelled flight at 11:00 at night and they told me that there were no hotels nearby available, and that I was to sleep at the airport. Likely I was able to find this place. I checked in around midnight, I haven’t eaten anything all day due to the airline, and I did not have my luggage which included my toiletries. Thankfully the owner took it upon himself to help me out by driving me to a Wendy’s so that I can get something to eat, and then he drove me to a local gas station where I was able to purchase things like toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant. They really took care of me.

The room was quiet and clean. During the night a piece of the ceiling texture about 1 square foot in size fell to the floor near the vanity / sink. The bed was too firm for my taste. Breakfast was not provided.

Dust, dirt and grime in all the corners, the A/C was covered in dust. Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling constantly and fell off as it heated up. Refrigerator smells and freezes everything, including all the coating in the fridge rotting off. There's more
- 3/5
The first room look old haunted room 2 room look better it was a smoker room it looks scary 😳 I won't go back curtains look like it haven't been wash in years dirty wash cloths was left on the shower lamp look like it came out of a horror movie no table phone look like you might catch a disease will not go back. Bed had a cigarette burn in the blanket.

The internet kept kicking me off for the time I was there I couldn’t stream a full movie without it kicking us off the servers. The mini fridge was broken and the microwave took forever to heat up the food. Finally I had the privacy tag on the door meaning I have having some adult time in the room that morning. The “manager” comes to the door and knocks and I replied with “we are busy right now come back later” because we were naked. He, the “manager”, kept knocking forcing us to come to the door, and I came to the door and said “sorry we don’t need room service.” To which he replied “ okay but I still need to do a FULL WALKTHROUGH of the hotel. Now take it I didn’t see him do that with any other apartment, and I had a privacy tag on the door which wasn’t very private at all. With my significant other naked under the sheets because he wouldn’t leave us alone. I will never in life recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family and I hope nobody thought they could have a romantic get away here because these people invade your privacy.

THE BED HAS BED BUGS and the sheets are peed all over . Horrible
- 2/5
Needs lots of updating !
- 4/5
The bed was uncomfortable too soft and sunk too far down when I layed down. Sound like I was laying in straw.
- 4/5
…. And the heat doesn’t work on the unit. So, we weren’t as warm as we wanted. We travel often for work and would still book here because of how clean it is and the staff being nice. Hopefully new mattresses will be onsite by then. Even a $400 hybrid bed in a box would be great.
- 4/5
The manager and staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms had been partially updated but the bathrooms and ceiling finishes (peeling drywall, dated bathtub and fixtures, toilet that rocked back and forth) needed to be replaced ASAP
- 3/5
I was disappointed the front desk looked like it was in good shape but then you go to the rest of the establishment ts poor managed. The rooms air conditioning was off so it was very hot and it did not cool the room all nigh the room had a weurd smell in it!l

- 1/5
nothing
- 5/5
Place a clean and quiet for a Saturday nite. Everything was booked, had to find something on the fly. Not my usual kinda place and reviews almost scared me off but I was pleasantly surprised at how quaint but tidy the rooms were. Floors is new LVP and tiled bathroom. Water pressure great and plenty of HW. Beds are spring but relatively comfortable. Pillows small but not tiny. A/C heat pump worked as it should, although an older version, so on the loud side. It was perfect for what I needed, a place to rest overnight before heading back to Georgia.
- 2/5
Massive potholes on the way in. Old, dingy, broken down MOtel. Stay maybe 5 hours before i left because there was nothing comfortable about the place. Gave me Sam and Dean vibes but worse.
- 3/5
Lowest prices an ty

It was great experience
- 5/5
Good location. Easy in and out. Plenty of shopping and restaurants close by.
- 1/5
I couldn’t even stay it was so shady and informed front desk of my decision 30 minutes after checking in. The hotel said they weren’t going to charge me until they were sure to have cleared all my money from expedia and then denied it refund......Horrible horrible unless you want drugs and drug sex with hooker, meth dealers etc. in which case 5stars. ended up wood spring suits across the street safe parking lot clean and a relief.
- 1/5
Friendly staff, clean room. Hotel exterior and parking lot are awful. Poor lighting, potholes, junk scattered about.
- 1/5
$25 per pet deposit $25 deposit on room other guests were loud and obnoxious. Desk clerk was rude.
- 3/5
It was ok... I wouldn’t stay here again! It was overpriced.
- 2/5
The property was old and run down. It looked dirty and dingy all over.
- 5/5
There were huge holes in the parking lot, I know I hit 2 of them, of course I couldn't see them it was very dark and raining.
- 1/5
The rooms were very old. Paint was coming off the ceilings and there were stains all over the walls. There was dirt and mold surrounding the entire entry door and at the bottom of the shower curtains. The room had a nasty damp smell to it and the Front Desk worker was saying that was the only pet room available. Fortunately we were able to switch to a room that was a little bit cleaner with less mold but still was not comfortable staying there. I slept on top of the bedding with blankets that I had brought with me. The pictures online are nothing like the actual hotel. I dont even know how that hotel is still open and running
- 3/5
You get what you pay for with pet friendly at this hotel. It was only pet friendly hotel nearby for a wedding we came into town for. Our pet friendly room was definitely a huge downgrade from other rooms. My daughter had non pet friendly room and it was very nice. My room was very old and dated and not very clean. The mattress was very springy and not comfortable whatsoever. The sheets had black hairs throughout and the very old comforter had several brown stains. There were 3 small flat pillows for the king size bed in which I had to use all 3 to get a decent one pillow. Coffee maker looked like it had not been cleaned in years. Just remember with this place- the pet friendly rooms are not what you see on the website.
- 1/5
He charged me more than the price on the site.then i booked king room and got 2 full beds.
- 3/5
Due to my apartment flooding, I chose this place for the price, pets allowed & the location because I didn’t know how long I’d have to be there. The room was out dated but you get what you pay for.
- 2/5
Woke up with roaches
- 4/5
Good for the most part. The guy behind the counter made me feel uncomfortable at times. Felt like he didn't want to be there.
- 1/5
I would not advise anyone to stay at The Econo Lodge in Matthews The pictures are very very deceiving the rooms are dirty and have a funny smell to it full of smoke and very dark it is not well come-in at all for your family there was flys in the room when I got there the beds didn’t even look like they were clean I decided not to even stay at this dump I checked out and the owner had the nerve to call me and told me that I took two towels from the room If I didn’t sleep in that bad what in the world would I do with towels I didn’t even see any towel so I can imagine what they look like please do not take your family to this hotel it is horrible it look like a run down truck stop hotel for prostitutes
- 2/5
The first room we were sent to the heat did not work. We were assigned to another room. The walls are paper thin. The room beside us had a dog & we heard the squeaky toy all night along with everyone phone conversation.
- 3/5
Bare minimum. No hair dryer. The best thing is that it is pet friendly
- 2/5
Continental breakfast needs more items.
- 5/5
We would stay here again, the room was so clean, great shower and great location.
- 4/5
Clean. Quiet Friendly staff. They had taken hair dryers and ironing boards out since my last visit. Wasn’t prepared for that. Breakfast could use some improvement. Maybe fruit and yogurt.
- 1/5
There was nothing that I liked!!! HORRIBLE STAFF!!!
- 1/5
unclean old smelly staff was nice but not with each other
- 2/5
Cockroach s in room, holes in bedding and hair throughout the bathroom
- 3/5
Updated room was ok only problem i had was blanket wasn’t clean had stains
- 3/5
Location was good in terms of being very close to the tournament fields that hundreds of people traveled to get to. The room seemed to have been recently upgraded, (e.g., new floors, new bath), but had zero taste in design. On the other hand, the parking lot and entrance drive need resurfacing, the exterior & interior walls need cleaning and/or new paint, and the office and dining area should be completely redone. The breakfast wasn't even close to continental. The locked refrigerator made me think several things: 1. That sometime in the night I was transported to the county jail; 2. There was something worse than what you might find in Jeffrey Dahmer's fridge; and 3. I missed the memo that they were hosting a weight watchers convention. Oh and kids know the difference between fresh & stale fruit loops.
- 2/5
The units are remodeled but poor build quality in the bathrooms. The exterior looks like a motel and the ac unit was old and smelly. Ton of mini spiders all over and the shower faucet was pertruding from the wall... Open to anything to crawl in and out hence the spiders.
- 1/5
I chose the room because your site's pix showed couches, but only a single chair in all rooms. No soda or vending machines. Polite, but untrained desk clerk. Dirty floors, and a pitiful breakfast, which we chose not to eat. We paid for 2 nights but only stayed one, it was so bad. Room and refrigerator both hot when we arrived. TV would not accept HDMI signal from my laptop, so we couldn't watch the movie we brought with us. Hard bed, hard pillows. How they got a Choice Hotel membership is beyond me.
- 2/5
Don't be fooled by the pictures. Must have been taken years ago. Pulled up to a crack dealers dream... landscaping unmaintained, parking lot had MANY potholes. Rooms were a mess. We had 2 rooms , 1 the toilet tank almost fell off and the other rooms shower temperature could not be adjusted, and the toilet flapper got stuck causing the water to run.
- 1/5
The place was filled with mold shower, front door, water in the rug from i guess a/c unit.Candy wrappers behind the night stand shower handle did not work correct hole in the wall behind faucet.Dog friendly means if you can find a place for your pet to go to the bathroom means hope they like to go on cement or walk 100 yds to find them a grassy area that was cut.Never never again.
- 1/5
The phones didn’t work there was no WiFi I was very upset I doesn’t my hard earn money on this room it looked nothing like the advertisement
- 2/5
TO Begin with it was ok. As the days went by the customers service got worse and worse. I would the front desk to ask a simple question and the main manager of the building was rude and hung on me and the next day hung up on my friend staying with. And never would answer our questions in a professional manner. The rooms were never clean even after having to wait for hours after we paid for the room. We had to sit in our car two plus hours waiting on them to get a room ready. One of our rooms also had a used condom on the floor after they supposable cleaned it. I was very unhappy about the whole stay. We stayed there for over a week. If you have to stay in that area don’t stay there. The neighborhood is also really bad. The stores and restaurants have been robbed numerous of times like at least once a week.
- 4/5
Pretty decent place but the beds are very small.
- 3/5
Nothing horrible but nothing exceptional either. Just an average stay
- 3/5
The place had very nice manager but the place was a little run down. The breakfast was more a snack.
- 1/5
This was a terrible visit, Add states it has truck parking, There in NO TRUCK PARKING! By the time we arrived it was too late to find another place and we wound up parking in an alley. Dirty coffee pot with only enough condiments for one person, room smelled bad, bed was dirty, coffee pot leaked after cleaning it, remote didn't work for tv. We won't be going back.
- 1/5
This place is a dive. Very poor value for your money. The beds were awful and we we’re afraid to try the breakfast.
- 1/5
My crew ended up sleeping in the trucks because this place was so disgusting.
- 2/5
Well the stay was ok for one night but the room was dirty the small refrigerator did not even work and the bath room tube had burn stains all over it and yet this was a none smoking room..what a joke ,if I had a choice and was not dead on my feet tired I really would not have stayed here.on a positive note the bed sheets at least seemed to be clean.
- 3/5
A/C unit made a loud noise well into early morning hours. Very frustrating.
- 1/5
Denied a non-smoking two bedroom even though that's what my reservation was for. Was given the ultimatum between a smoking two bedroom or a non-smoking one bed. ROOM WAS GROSS. bathrooms so disgusting. then on day of check out were denied a late check-out and told they don't do those. When i got my final bill they charge over double what it was supposed to be.
- 1/5
Do not stay here!!! Total rip off. Creepy neighborhood. Smelly very old rooms. Not clean at all.
- 3/5
Doesn't look like much from the road.......staff is friendly and while dated the room was clean though the bathroom is tight if your big........pet friendly which was nice.........just up the road is a nice place to walk the dog.......might stay again for the reasons we came to Charlotte.
- 1/5
Staff was very kind, and I understand that this isn’t a 5 Star hotel, but for paying $91 for a one night AND $25 for a hold on the room, it was TERRIBLE. The minute we got into the room we turned the AC on, even an hour later, it was still humid and damp in the room. AC didn’t work, had to get a small tiny fan from the front desk. Microwave also did not work. Found a small what looked like blood stain about the door. And the sheets on the beds were STAINED with who knows what. We found a tissue still in the box, that was used and the bed was completely itchy. Normally not one to complain, but for something that’s ended up costing $115, I expected way more.
- 4/5
Nice room, bath room very clean [a little small].
- 2/5
Room wasn't clean. Fridge did not work.
- 2/5
There were smoke holes in the sheets, smoke stains on the toilet seat & on the bath tub. Smoke stains on the blanket also. The smoke detector was unplugged and hanging off of the ceiling. The fridge wasn’t on and smelled bad. This was all in a NON-SMOKE room. So I’m guessing one of the people who stayed before us made it a smoke room & they never cleaned up after them.
- 4/5
It was comfortable considering that we did not have to travel far going to the venue. I just wished we had continental breakfast instead of just cereals and toast. But it was okay.
- 1/5
This is the most horrible hotel experience i have ever had
- 1/5
First off, the staff is extremely rude. They speak to you like they don't even care if you stay at their establishment or not. The room they gave us was directly below rooms undergoing renovations, which obviously caused a lot of unwanted sound to bleed through. Staff informed us breakfast was until 10am, as stated on a handwritten "breakfast hours" paper taped to a coffee pot in the dining room. Upon entering at 9:30am, I was aggressively told breakfast ends at 9am and has never lasted until 10am. Housekeeping came to our room before checkout time to clean in a manner that was obviously trying to rush us out. This was most definitely the most unpleasant and I welcomed hotel stay I have had.
- 3/5
Not good. The ant infested hotel. No handicap rooms . rooms were ok but could have been better. Breakfast that was a joke
- 2/5
Difficult to find entrance to hotel.
- 1/5
First, it took 43 minutes to check in because the front desk said they couldn't locate my reservation. I gave them my reservation number, my name, and the confirmation email. I ended up calling hotels.com in the middle of the night and asking them to call the front desk. I mean... why would I make all of that up? And why wouldn't the hotel call and find out for their own customer? I will never stay there again. There was also a hand sized spider that I woke up to on my face... which didn't help the experience.
- 2/5
Hotel pictures posted on Expedia misrepresented the hotel condition. Room appeared to have been recently renovated by the workmanship quality was less than acceptably and was not a safe room for children. Two broken receptacles with exposed wiring and one receptacle where the cover was not attached and only held in place by the lamp cord plugged into it. .
- 2/5
My roommate got bit by bed bugs in room 120,
- 4/5
Comfy....very restful....theres nothing else to say...bug free and id stay there again.
- 2/5
It was a motel. Looked every bit it's age. Peeling paint. Old linens. Stained carpet. Etc.
- 2/5
Refridge was broken. Blankets on bed were scratchy, super cheap, and actually had holes in them. Ceiling had popcorn plaster peeling off in spots. Toilet tank lid was wrong size and covered in cigarette burns... If it was $39/night I would stay the night and just say "you get what you pay for". But when I could have paid just $25 more and gone up the road to the newer hotels, I was really disappointed.
- 3/5
The hotel was convenient and met my needs as far as the amenities. It had a mini refrigerator, microwave, and WIFI. The hotel was "Pet friendly", but the 2 men at the desk made me feel very uncomfortable regarding this even though I didn't have one. They questioned me several times and had a.sign that said a $100 fee would be charged to anyone not disclosing a pet at check in. The breakfast was barely acceptable with only corn flakes and fruit loop cereal, English muffins and frozen waffles. The coffee was not ready when I entered at 7:20 am andoing after it was made I found my cup full of grounds.
- 4/5
I have nothing negative to say.
- 1/5
This room was beyond dirty. The carpet was worn, the furniture was really old and upholstery was filthy and had some type of feces on the chair. I did not touch or want to sit anywhere in this room. The manager offered the room next door which was marginally better. Being late at night and after driving all day we decided to sleep in our van and just use the shower in the room. However, after further inspection of the bathroom we did not use this either. The room was non refundable. This was an Expedia experience I hope never to repeat. I am surprised Econo Lodge would allow the use of there name by a property in such condition.
- 2/5
I forgot my brush and comb, asked front desk, said they did not have any even though it is in the book in our room. Continential breakfast was awful. Dried up bread, juice was terrible, only two choices of cereal, no yogurt, etc. ect. Before leaving asked again for receipt and front desk could not produce one.
- 1/5
The room was booked for 2 nights, I stayed a total of maybe 3 hours, the room smelled like mildew , the room was neat but NOT CLEAN, the carpet was dirty, dirty, dirty. I did not care about the décor but please be clean!
- 3/5
Nice managers, They had washing machines and dryers.
- 3/5
Ok place to stop for a night
