    The desk clerk was slothful but the worst was the smell once the elevator doors opened. Musky? Yes. Moldy? Yes. Sour? Yes and yes there was unidentified debris and dark stains on the floor. After exiting the elevator the odors intensified and I regretted my choice to choose Choice. I opened my hotel door and was met by another indistinct smell like the room was dusty and dank. Not one but 2 garbage cans were left in the foyer blocking the bathroom door and entry to the rest of the room. The white coverlet on the bed had 2 gray stains. I had traveled 600 miles and was too exhausted to stay upright. I took 2 towels to lay atop on the bed and 2towels to cover my body and tried to rest. There’s more but needless to say, I will not make that choice again

    This is one of the best places to stay in Memphis the staff and Management here are great. The property is well maintained and we felt very safe here in Memphis and Thats a great feeling to be able to have when your here in Memphis. The property and the staff here are top Notch I stay here everytime when I am here in Memphis!!! I have been here for the last three days and I almost forgot to mention and this is something that got my attention off the Jump the real Breakfast man this aint no toast and coffee……. Of course they have that and much more scrambled eggs waffles Heck this place has a better selection than IHOP lol You can’t go wrong here so dont just take my word for it check it out i could find anything here to help complain about……very Rarely I give a review because Momma use to say if you ain’t got nothing good to say then dont say it. But to my surprise in Memphis Tn this establishment was great

    Staff was friendly and helpful, but the building has seen better days. The bed had spring sticking up on one side, the toilet was stained and the bathtub had patch work that was clearly done in a different color. There we holes in the ceiling tiles in the hallway with clear water damage. Hotel.com also said this location was 3 miles from the University, but it was more that 20 minutes away by car. There is nothing as far as restaurants and stores in walking distance and it is about 15 minutes away from downtown. Might make an okay truck stop, but not good if you are looking for a less expensive but nice option for a vacation or conference.

He was patient, professional, pleasant, and very helpful throughout the situation To Whom It May Concern, On May 8, 2026, shortly after midnight into May 9th, I checked into the Comfort Inn & Suites by Memphis Airport. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had.. However, once I entered my assigned room and began inspecting it, I was extremely disappointed. The bed was disgusting, with visible stains on both the bedspread and the fitted sheets. I also found the bathroom unacceptable, as the toilet appeared as though it had not been cleaned, with visible stains inside the bowl. I have pictures documenting these conditions. Because of these issues, I returned to the front desk and requested another room. Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. The couch appeared dirty and disgusting, the bathtub had peeling paint, and the heater/air conditioning unit was missing covers. The bed covers also had visible stains on it. I am not sure whether there has been a change in housekeeping or laundry services, but I have never experienced conditions like this at this property before. For spending nearly $300 for a two-night stay, I did not expect this level of cleanliness or maintenance issues. This experience was completely unacceptable, and unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. For this property to be associated with Choice Hotels, I strongly believe someone from corporate should inspect whether this hotel still meets Choice brand standards. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint as well as consideration for a refund due to the poor and unsanitary conditions I experienced.     The bathroom in our room as terrible. The sink leaked, the light over the sink was out, the toilet was permanently stained, the tub didn't drain well and they gave us dirty towels. I'm sure the towels had been washed but they had nasty stains on them and were so thin they should have been replaced anyway.

    This hotel is gross. I paid for 2 nights but after the first night we just left and went to another hotel. The reviews were mostly good so I was very disappointed. The lady at the desk during check in was so sweet so I do want to note that. The hotel is undergoing renovations and there are no complaints about that. The room itself however was so gross. Someone else’s hair was wrapped up in in one of the towels. There was no comforter on my bed, the comforter on my daughter’s bed had a yellow stain on it (that I didn’t notice until the morning, so gross!). There were drip stains down the wall near the headboards, assuming from an ill-repaired water leak on the above floor. The entire hotel smelled like marijuana, people were actively smoking it and the smell even came into our room multiple times. The hotel was noisy — guests loud at all hours. I don’t think we slept longer than an hour at a time without being woken up from noise or strong gusts of marijuana odor wafting into our room. The photos on the website must be from when the hotel first opened. There was no coffee in the room, but there was a coffee pot. No coffee cups in the lobby or in the rooms not that it would’ve mattered. When my husband asked an employee, he said “if we they’re in the room we got ‘em, if they’re not, we don’t.” The heater was beat up and smelled of smoke each time it kicked on. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The only positive here was thank goodness there weren’t any bugs visible of any kind.

    After I was in my room someone else checked into the hotel and opened my door, staff didn’t seem to interested when I told them. A few hours after I checked out I received a phone call asking when I was going to check out. I told them I already checked out and turned my key in to the night clerk when I left.

    Pool was an enjoyable temperature. Staff was very accommodating whenever an issue arose. Breakfast had options for the whole family to eat what they wanted. Plenty of drink options! Had to be assigned to a new room shortly after arrival, due to mold and a dead bug found in room. Disappointed that hot tub was temporarily closed.

    The people working were so sweet! The hotel was disgusting. There were roaches in the bathtub and silverfish around the walls, the bed had weird stains all over it, the curtains were stained orange and brown, and it smelled awful in there. The elevator was so hot, the metal around the room was rusty, and the clean towels had hair and lint on them.

    The staff is SO kind ! I’ve come a few times for trips to Memphis and I’m so happy to share my time with them ! Whether flying in or driving, the check in process was seamless.     Staff was nice, very accommodating, switched rooms for us twice to get us the room we needed. Unfortunately, the advertised available indoor pool is closed long term, and worse yet, the advertised indoor jacuzzi is also closed long term, and has been for a substantial amount of time, yet both are still advertised as available, actually this is quite deceptive. Breakfast is decent, but coffee machine failed to work properly at all during our entire two night stay.

    The carpets were filthy, sticky with shoes on and smelled of urine. Woke to gunshots being fired very close to the hotel. Bathroom tub finish peeling off over half of the tub, in room refrigerator did not cool at all.

    Friendly staff and easy checkin. At breakfast, worker used profanity around kids. Hotel is old and a mess. Heater, Furniture and Bathtub were scratched, scarred and dented. No cream or sugar in room for coffee. FAQ’s incorrectly said hotel had a shuttle, costing me ~$40 in transportation. The phone numbers on the hotel site were either not working or were for new reservations. I finally got the right number from Hotels.com-a number not on their website

    Booked this hotel because it advertised having a pool and spa. Both were closed by the Health Departement at April 25 this year. Breakfast was not great also. No O.J. only apple juice. Had a waffle (no syrup) and two patty’s with ketchup. Not the normal for staying in a Comfort Suites hotel.

    When I booked this I was told there was a 24 hour airport shuttle. There isn't. I saw the photos of the pool, it was closed. There was no wayer available in the vending machine, the elevator didn't work, and my room was smelly, noisy, and there were stains in the bathtub. However, the man working the desk at 5.00 am is very nice.

    I didn't do enough research and just assumed the area around airport would be safe. I was wrong. This hotel is clean and staff was great but the area is horrible. If the gate on the drive worked, I would've felt better. Parking has nice high fencing but the gate doesn't work so I didn't sleep much worried that our car was going to broke in to. When we were going down for breakfast, the front desk was having to run out homeless that were trying to eat.

    This hotel is not in the safest part of Memphis, I found out. The hotel grounds is surrounded by an iron fence. The gate has been removed. The building's exterior is dilapidated. Guys in the parking lot fixing cars. The staff person did not greet me, only said, "ID please." He never made eye contact or talked. Mold was on the ceilinig in the bathroom.

    The staff was great, especially the front desk and breakfast staff. I didn't understand why the pool was padlocked at 7:30 in the evening. I was somewhat concerned about the area around the motel. It was kinda concerning for a grandma with young children.

    Picture online were decieving and not as nice.Bed were very hard and not comfortable and actually the foot of the mattress was higher than the head of the mattress similar to a "U shape". ice machine on second floor did not work and no ice on first floor machine. no laundry facilities. air condition never changed temperature even though I tried. Out side of property not very clean and it looks as it were to be gated with fence around the whole property but nothing to close at night to make more secure. Cart was broken around the edges.

    Breakfast is from 6am-9am my Kids Lo es the breakfast. The lady kept everything stocked well and clean! So many options to choose from I everything is old but it was good enough for us to sleep beds are kinda hard. We had dirty pillow covers. Restroom wasn’t cleaned thoroughly and even though I noted how many of us will be there we didn’t have enough towels but we just asked for some more. The Location wasn’t bad at all and didn’t feel unsafe.

    Trisha was the best thing about this hotel. The facility is beyond dated and needs remodeling because there is mold in all the corners. Everything felt wet and old. Beds and sheets were clean but they were wet. I only stayed the night because i was exhausted and could not drive on and the clerk Trisha really tried to help us.

    It was a last minute booking that day. We arrived around 8:00 pm. Customer service was good but the building needs work. We were able to swim for about 30 minutes. The hot tub was shut down. Our room was so warm. The lowest the temp would go is 70. No one in my room slept because it was warm. The floor was very sticky that we had to wear shoes in our room and the hallways smelled terrible with mildew. We most likely will not return.

    My room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy with fresh linens, and the amenities like the mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were a big plus.     I will never stay at this hotel. It was dirty with bugs in the room. Also, someone was blasting their tv all night - walls are very thin. Our air conditioning was broken and the bed was very uncomfortable .

    The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the bathroom requires significant attention. The toilet has a persistent stain that makes it appear unclean and may need to be replaced. Also, the tub stopper is not functioning properly, and the bathtub itself would benefit from resurfacing or reglazing to improve its appearance and cleanliness.

    We were in town for a funeral and I booked through Expedia. The rooms looked okay on the website but I should have read the reviews first. The hotel needs updating. Most of the workers were dressed unprofessional, including the women serving breakfast. On our first night we had just laid down when we heard a knock on our door. My husband got up and looked through the peep hole to see who it was. He saw two men standing right outside of the door, both of whom we didn't know. Needless to say we didn't open the door, but it made me feel very unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    My stay was overall pleasant. The air conditioning worked off and on which made it uncomfortable at times. I also did not know there were no laundry facilities on the property. I will not book here again solely for that reason. The younger front desk staff are not friendly at all. Sunday (5/25/25) the young boy at the desk appeared to be bothered anytime someone asked him a question.

    Hitel staff was friendly and accomodating. The hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood didn't look fancy but ai took a chance anyway. I was glad I stayed there. It made my arrival and departure at the airport super easy. The breakfast was good. I was pleasantly surprised with the do it yourself waffle selection in addition to the other homestyle selections. Overall I was pleased and I would stay there again.

    I can’t believe that this is part of the quality inn’s chain. If they’re not interested in putting in the necessary funds they should sell it to someone who is. The staff were, for the most part, very courteous. The facilities however , were terrible. Filthy carpets, peeling paint, broken equipment, suite furniture that is so dirty you don’t want to put your things down, and black mold in the bathroom.

    The breakfast was phenomenal. It is not a continental breakfast very clean extra towels with no issues. The lady on the front desk was very helpful. The reason I gave this score of 9 the hot tub was not working. And since this was a business trip it would’ve been nice to set in a hot tub.

    This was the worst comfort inn we stayed at on our cross country motorcycle trip . The area seemed very sketchy. The food at the breakfast bar was ok at best. And the ac in our room did not work properly and after being on the road for 11 hours on motorcycles all I wanted was a nice shower and cool room. Mattress was also very uncomfortable felt like it had metal springs about to pop through. Terribly disappointed. Not comfort inn standards in my opinion bc the other 6 we stayed at this trip were exceptional. The evening clerk was very nice and professional on a positive note.

    Although considering the area and all other hotel options available in the surrounding area. its definitely my #1 choice to book a room at and its a very laid back atmosphere with the staff and maintained great breakfast every morning with plenty of selections to choose from and awesome coffee & latte machine offered 24/7 which is definitely bonus points in my book!

    The hotel needed some updates, wasn't in the greatest part of town. Beds were comfortable, was ok for a one night stay, Was not to far from Graceland. The shuttle that they advertised had broke down. Cops came with guns out so that was a bit interesting.

    Upon arrival to our floor, we were overwhelmed by the stench of marijuana that it made our eyes water. We just wanted to get to bed to catch our 4:30am flight. At midnight we were awoken by someone knocking on our door “looking for their friend”. At around 2:30am, we were again awoken by the Memphis PD pounding on a room door telling them “to open up”. When we left for the airport and hour later, there were police all over the lobby. The front desk attendant just looked at us when we walked by. It was a horrifying stay and we couldn’t wait to leave Memphis.

    The pros were that the staff were nice, I did feel secure at night, and breakfast was okay. There's hot water and microwave/fridge. It was also very close to where I was going so that's a plus. However , I wouldn't try this again even it's for one night. For it to be where it is, they need to update their rooms.
