Love the area, everything nearby in walking distant. Staff friendly and informative and responsive The hot water took forever to get hot, we even had to take a cold shower one night. There was a bar at the hotel, but it looked like it was never open.

The location. How spacious the room was. How cute and nicely decorated it was. It wasn’t loud at night or nothing, especially being right on Collins avenue. 10/10 stay! Just no on sight staff. It wasn’t an issue really but at least 1 person to help.

I have stayed at the sister hotel to this hotel before a couple of times - the Pantera Rosa which I love so thought I would give the Beach Plaza a go! It’s pretty freakin fabulous as well. The staff is amazing .. the guys help you with luggage and around making sure things are secure. It’s a kiosk check in / out which I prefer! Everything is done thru text prior to arrival. My room stayed cool with great air conditioning and location is prime in my opinion. Lummus park around the corner and straight to the beach. I traveled with my chihuahuas which is always amazing when dogs are actually welcomed! Thank you guys!

The property was very clean and easy to get to. The gentleman who assisted us at check in was very friendly and accommodating which was a big plus. Luggage storage is limited to six lockers which is a bit inconvenient. We had to store our luggage off site for an added expense.

Just the location. It was so hard to check in specially since no one is at the front desk. They gave us a room and the door would not open then they gave us another room to try and we opened a room with people in it it was extremely embarrassing and the third time we finally were able to get into our room after trying 3 times with all out luggage going up and down.

Location is fantastic, near the beach, restaurants, nice area. The room is clean, confortable, silent, with coffee machine and capsules, boiler, hair dryer, all in good condition. The air condition is bit noise, but works well.

Everything was great except after 8 pm

Staff was very responsive and helpful. There are complimentary beach chairs and towels. You can also get discounts at their sister hotel. Location was perfect really close to the beach and ocean drive. Overall, definitely recommend.

I like that all services are virtual including check in and check out... Staff is actually on call 24/7 by calling a local number and answered all my questions. You get a $10.00 stipend for breakfast to use at a nearby hotel. I was impressed everything smells clean including the bathroom! Room was well maintained.

The free waters and complimentary amenities were appreciated! Walgreens was across the street and open 24 hours. The best Cuban restaurant was 1 block away, and the beach was perfect! I could not have asked for a better place!!!

Great option when staying at Miami Beach. Well located, near the shopping area but not noisy, with access to beach chairs and towels. Rooms are as indicated, clean and all worked well. Juda at reception was very helpful. A good option for Miami Beach.

Cons: Old building so the cold water in the bathroom faucet was warm, temperature of the water in the shower was volatile, old stains and marks Enjoy!

After finally resolving the situation, there was no follow-up, apology, or effort made to compensate for the inconvenience, which showed a lack of customer care and hospitality. To make matters worse, we requested a late checkout the following morning and were immediately denied without much consideration. After the rough check-in experience, a small accommodation like that could have gone a long way. Overall, the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth, and I expected much better from a hotel in Miami Beach.

The location is perfect for this area. Everything so close, yet not in the main mayhem of South Beach next street over. Our room was big, clean and comfortable with almost never any noises from the outside world. It would have been good to get some more assistance from the staff in regards to parking and such. But there was never anyone around. That made the check-in also a bit tricky, some might say cumbersome!

The room was the perfect for a solo traveler. The bed was comfy. The AC worked perfectly. It was in a perfect spot to get to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The beach is as well. I know it’s meant to be an online property and they do have minimal staff (one main guy) therefore communication is almost entirely by phone. I had a red-eye flight the night before and asked months in advance for an early check-in because I, unfortunately, cant sleep on planes. I was advised to ask the day before, which I did, and then asked to check day of. I did not get an early check-in and I was exhausted. Considering I asked multiple times; I feel like they could’ve made one room available a little bit early but it didn’t happen. It was also frustrating to see people get their rooms early the next day. There is also nothing on site outside of the hotel itself. You are paying a premium for just the location. I paid over $300 a night for a nice room but not a premium room.

Except for a minor toilet issue and the noise from the garbage area, (our room was facing the back alley where dumpster is located), the property was great. Rooms and property were clean. It is a busy area, so expect the outside noise. Beach is practically right behind the property so no car needed.

Hotel okay, customer service poor! I booked on Expedia, but they have a processing system where they send you a link to pay them directly on their own system. Red flag #1. I don't like giving direct access to my bank account to unfamiliar brands, so I gave them my CC. This was a problem for them, b/c I booked to hold the reservation on Expedia with a different card. It supposedly caused an issue with processing payment. Instead of reaching out to me immediately to resolve the issue with the payment, they just turned off my code. I returned to my hotel at 11pm to find my code not working, but at this time had no idea why because I had paid earlier & had no missed calls/texts. Thankfully I entered at the same time as another guest and able to get into the lobby to find the text help number. Had that not happened, I woud have been locked out of hotel and room at 11pm or later with no staff at the front desk and my phone battery on 13%, on the street. After texting the number, they replied my payment didn't go through as the reason my code was turned of and that I needed to provide another form of payment to turn my code back on. "What?" I had already paid for my room and was at the hotel for two hours after check in before leaving to my event and no one realized the issue then? Locking me out of my room with my things still inside & forcing full payment is the best way to handle that? They said I had insufficient funds. Not true. Paid with same card. Had well over room cost.

Great location! The self check in and out was odd. More like airbnb than hotel. No service. No availability to store bags. They did recommend a place to store bags near by, but, what a hassle? The room was clean and well appointed. Sort of a funny smell. I requested a late check out via the text number they provide but didn’t receive and answer. Checked out on time as they caution in their policy, if not approved, no late check out granted. At 2PM they texted to ask if I’d left yet. I guess they assumed I’d stayed longer and I guess I could’ve. I would stay here again as the price beats most in South Beach, but you have to understand what you’re getting which is.. not much actual service.

I didnt like having to pay 250$ for the deposit, which was not indicated before booking. Hopefully it will be refunded quickly. Also, the fact you cant open the windows is not very comfortable. As someone coming from Europe, we prefer fresh air from using the AC.

Needed help because tv didnt work s they told to wait in the room for maintenance Waited for 45 min then I went for dinner because didnt want my evening to be ruined. Bad experience for the price

We stayed in the Villas part of the hotel. This is self-check in place with no staff onsite, but they quickly respond to inquiries by text. We were a family of 5 and enjoyed having a suite with a fully equipped kitchen and a large modern bathroom with two sinks. The location is perfect. The Villas rooms face two ugly alleys through which garbage trucks drive to empty large dumpsters. We kept the blinds closed to avoid the ugliness but could not escape the early morning dumpster-emptying noises. There is only one entrance, the main door of the hotel that opens with an access code, the same as the room code. That door jams up leaving guests outside for a long time until a staff member shows up. This is especially bad when it happens late at night. The complementary beach chairs and umbrellas are not at the beach that the hotel is on but over two blocks away.

We didn’t have hot water 3.5/5 days of our stay and could not get connected with anyone.

Room decor was good. Small rooms, tiny elevator. Cold water. No hot water the entire trip. Kept requesting maintenance, they'd say they would fixed it. It was never fixed.

It was a very busy weekend and I had to walk several blocks to find parking. Many lots were full so, lots of time looking. This is basically an airbnb disguised as a hotel. Other than maintenance and security, I did not see an employee for 3 days.

I had a great stay at Beach Plaza Hotel in South Beach and would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a convenient and walkable location. The hotel is perfectly situated—you can easily walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and nightlife without needing a car, which made the whole trip much more relaxing. One of the best perks was the complimentary beach service. They provide two beach chairs, which made our beach days super easy and enjoyable without any extra cost or hassle. I also want to give a special shoutout to Ambassador Juda, who truly made a difference during my stay. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive, always making sure everything was taken care of and that I had a great experience. Overall, the combination of location, amenities, and excellent service made this a really enjoyable stay. I would definitely come back! N/A

Best part about this place is how close it is to Ocean drive and the beach. Literally the only good thing about this place. Terrible customer service. Horrible actually. Literally nobody at the front desk after 7pm every day. So if you ever need anything or have any issues after 7pm, good luck. There were people yelling in the middle of the night at 4am for almost an hour, told the man at the front desk next morning, he replied “I can’t do anything about it. What do you want me to do?” Also, I did not have any hot water for the last 3 days of my stay. Told the man at the front desk after first day with this issue, he said “should’ve told me earlier” & that he’d get somebody to check on it. 3 days later, still no hot water after reminding multiple times. I know this place has good ratings & reviews, which I truly believe are due to the location, but please believe me when I say this is not a place to go if you want a decent nights sleep & like taking a shower; two of the most essential things.

The room was cute and spacious but the bathroom was very very small. It was fine for our short weekend trip though! The AC worked great and kept our room cool. You cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is close to the beach, restaurants, literally everything! We would definitely recommend & would likely stay here again the next time we’re in town.

We enjoyed the hotel. It was in a great location and the room was nice. Parking was an issue though. It said there is valet but when I got the check in info it said valet is not available at this time. There is a parking garage a block away as the check in info stated but it was full most of the time we were there.

We booked this room last minute and was pleasantly surprised at how cheap the room was. The room was nice and clean. It was very close to the beach. The room also included two beach lounge chairs at estebans place which was nice. The room did charge a fee if you wanted the room cleaned which wasnt a big deal for us as we didnt need it, but something to consider. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting close access to the beach and shops on collins ave.

This is my 4th time staying here and it was not as the last three times. I reserved a regular room and was assigned a handicap accessible room and the restroom was set up differently than what I’ve been used to. Also, the hot water kept running out. And the AC unit didn’t work on auto mode, I had to keep adjusting it the whole time.

The hotel itself was nice. The elevator wasn’t working, which was a bummer since I had a leg injury at the time, but otherwise the location was great for walking to the beach and shops.

Location is one block away from Espinola Way and one block away from Ocean Dr, which was superb. Across from Walgreens as well (for when we needed adult bevs, water, sunscreen, snacks, beach toys). Direct access to beach on 14th St with shower and restroom stations, so very convenient. Easy walk down Ocean Dr and Ocean Dr Boardwalk. Our longest walk to Joe’s Stone Crab / South Pointe Beach was about 30min, which was an easy walk with a stroller for our little one through the boardwalk.

Everything was just perfect. Only thing due to which I am giving less star is elevator was not operational and we were given 3rd floor room. I had old age travellers plus luggage with me and it was a big problem.

My stay at Beach Plaza was great! The staff were super responsive, and the online check-in made everything really easy. There was security on-site, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. The room was nice, clean, and spacious—especially for a place in Miami Beach. The location was also perfect: easy to find and close to everything we wanted to do. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely book again!

The check in was horrible. No one around to help you with that.There was one cleaning person and she did not speak English at all. No parking and nothing to eat or drink on property.
