The Gale hotel is generally well-liked for its friendly staff, great location, and cleanliness. However, some guests have issues with the small room size, noise from the club, and lack of closet space.

What I did not like was the lack of privacy in the shower area, the restaurant and bar being closed without any prior notice before our arrival, and the very small closet space, which made it difficult to hang pants and dresses. Overall, these issues negatively impacted our experience.

We appreciate the service provided by Ricardo (security) and Gret (front desk), as well as the housekeeping and valet parking staff. We plan to return and hope the bars, restaurants, and café will be open by then; it is also necessary to renovate some rooms and repair the shower and pool area.

Location is good, and it looks nice outside. The beds are comfortable It’s awfully overpriced for the services it provides. The breakfast is extremely mediocre, the bar is lacking any choice or elegance. The balcony is surrounded by solid concrete walls with no view, which means there is no reason to even be on the balcony.

There is a nightclub in the basement and the music was “pumping” all night. I could. It go back to bed. When I called the front desk she informed me about it and my room was next to the elevator so it’s just comes right through. It was awful!

The hotel does not seem to enforce any noise control for guests. On two consecutive nights, people in nearby rooms were playing loud jazz and music that could easily be heard from the hallways. The noise continued until around 3–4 AM and was loud enough to wake us up in the middle of the night, yet the staff did nothing to address it. Additionally, unlike other hotels in the same area, this property does not provide direct access to the beach.

I had the best stay at the Gale South Beach Miami. The rooms were clean, and the staff was attentive. The only things I would say are that there weren't enough towels and the shower head broke, but both were handled with a simple phone call. The location was perfect! In the middle of all the attractions, I would definitely stay here again

My son was riding one of there bikes and it was taken from him by a homeless man. After I spoke with SJ the manager I was made to pay $1,000 for the bike. They wouldn't let me leave the hotel to make a police report was told that if i do a police report it makes it hard for there guest to ride there bikes because they dont have no way of knowing what bikes are stolen and that its Miami it happens all the time. Was also told that I had to pay $1,000 for the bike because they can't just buy 1 bike you have to cover the cost for the full order from where they order the bikes from which gives them 2 bikes. They also gave my family who was not staying at the hotel a key to my room without verification or my permission sooooooo unsafe. They dont have ice machines and the water they give you is always hot. Night time crew is rude. After sitting outside at the tables all day when the night shift came in they told us we had to move and couldn't sit there. Yeah worst vacation ever there and this was not my first time to Miami so no I didn't understand when she said this Miami it happens all the time.

I liked nothing about it. It advertised as beachfront and it absolutely wasn’t. Had to go across the street through another hotel to get to beach. The room was the size of a shoe box. Everything crammed together. The smoke alarm kept going off and after traveling all day and wanting to get some rest, it was going to be impossible with all the ruckus. Whatever it was it triggered the sprinklers and water was everywhere!

The price paid was not commensurate with what we received. The website indicated that breakfast was included, but upon arrival, we were told otherwise (no breakfast). Due to flight delays, we arrived at 5:00 am on 05/13. We notified the hotel twice in advance of when we were arriving. 05/12 was paid for so we could get in our room upon arrival. We ran the door bell several times and waited for 5+ minutes outside only to gain access because others were leaving. Then, when inside, the man on duty stayed seated, told us we couldn’t check in till the afternoon. Had to persuade him to look in the computer to confirm our reservation and check us in. Simply put, he was very lazy and unfriendly. If you have a doorbell and someone rings it, why is it not priority to answer. Why would he just sit there and not answer the door? There were homeless people relieving themselves while we waited. Two women, outside alone has the potential to be dangerous. Please speak with him and confirm expectations to answer the door. Especially when clients notify personnel twice at what time they are arriving and the room is already paid for in advance. Appreciate your time!

The staff was great with the conditions that were going on. The first day the air conditioner went out from 2:00 till around 8:pm. The second day the air conditioning and the power was out from sometime after 10 PM till 10 AM when we checked out. No elevator, no lights in the bathroom. They really do need to have some sort of back up at least for the lights and possibly electric fans in the rooms if that continues to happen.

The location was great. The room was tiny and awful. Felt like a hostel rather than a Hilton. The rooftop pool, which was one of the reasons we booked, was closed and we weren’t told in advance or on arrival, much to my dismay when I went up to enjoy it. The gym has a MAX capacity of 2 people(!) and the peloton bike which was a big advertising point in photos didn’t work. We were woken up on both mornings at 6am by alarms in rooms that weren’t occupied, while you could hear the ice machine and doors slamming on all floors. All in all and given the cost, this is probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time

Stay away! The room was very badly built and maintained: the curtain couldn’t close so we had the street lamp straight in our faces when trying to sleep, bathroom door didn’t fully slide, shower in the open in front of the entry door, mini fridge inaccessible and making noise and above all loud techno music from a club close by resonating in the whole room from 10.00pm to 2.30 am! We only slept out of exhaustion

    * Breakfast: poor choices. Never buy breakfast there, its a kid format breakfast, no cheese, can't make "boiled" eggs so your only choice is fried or poached. No milk with the coffee, I had to supply them for the orange juice. Some of the staff are friendly though. Towels smelled grilled meat one day.

The hotel room is not family friendly at all. You walk into the room and there is a glass shower right in front of you. There is no privacy what so ever in the room. If you are with family it’s not good. If you’re travelling as a couple I see the open bathroom concept but with families it’s a no no. Also front desk could use some training on how to greet a guest upon arrival and overall communication with guest. Found front desk staff not to be friendly.

But toilet didn’t flush had maintenance come up to fix flushed but didn’t set float correctly so ended up fixing myself!! The room was comfortable. Despite the fact that it's on the 3rd floor, you can hear the music coming up from the basement level (it sounded like the music could have been coming from above even though it wasn't). If you are an early sleeper, this room isn't for you. The music would go on until about 3-4AM. This hotel is also confusing because on the Collins Ave side, it's called The Gale and you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the check in desk. On the other end (James?) its called The Regent. Both entrances require you to walk up 3-4 steps to get to the check in area so you will need help if you have a lot or heavy luggage. This hotel gives you 2 free bottled waters a day in the room.

This place is amazing! Front desk agents are beautiful people. Be sure to get your comp champagne.cookies, and beach chairs and umbrellas. This location is prime location and doesn’t get any better. Hotel was clean. Food was good downstairs and by the pool you order drinks through a phone. Pool was beautiful. I’ll be returning!!

Looks like brand new, very cozy, classy and john wick feel 😎 featuring old pictures telling stories of the building plus a charlie Chappell twist. Love the fragrances used in public areas, created a very hip and chic style.

The Gale is a nice boutique property. However, the lobby furniture and the room furniture could use a refresh. The staff has always been nice and friendly so for that reason I will return.

Very poor, room not ready even after check in, staff not bothered to help. Was told I’d be contacted when room was ready and never was. A very frustrating stay.

Parking was difficult and the valet was not helpful. We ended up parking in a nearby lot because he seemed very unapproachable. You usually expect more helpful staff at hotels in this price range. The hotel itself was well appointed and very cute but the room was extremely small, especially for my husband who is 6’6”. I loved the location because we were in walking distance from restaurants etc. Overall, my stay was okay but I was not wowed.

Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful decor and lovely smell!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gale. My only criticism would be lack of cupboard and wardrobe space in the rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and clean and it's in good location, close to everything. The stuff deserves 5 stars for sure, very welcoming and accommodating. Italian restaurant was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was that our window was covered completely with this fake bush like cover. It felt like we didn't have window at all. Other than that room was clean, bad was comfortable and roof top pool was amazing. They do charge parking fee $45 a day and resort fee $40 a day on top of what you pay for room, but we were aware of it when we booked it so that wasn't an issue. Overall very good hotel.

Otherwise the rooftop pool was a fabulous place to relax and liked the ability to order food/drink from downstairs, and the room while very small was modern and clean. However the attention to guest room preferences and amenity explanation was lacking.

The rooms were quite small but the real problem is there was no closet! There was a small dedicated space of about 20 inches above the mini bar and safe with some hangers and a rod but not one piece of clothing could be hung in that space. It is as if they renovated the room and forgot to put in a closet or a space to hang clothes properly.

We stayed here for two nights in room 305 and it was obvious that it is in need of some repair. The location of the hotel is great and the lobby and bar are very nice looking. But once you're in the room it was fairly obvious. Here are some examples of issues with the room. No hooks for towels , except for one towel bar in the toilet room. The shower knob in the shower was loose and un caulked. The blue carpet was ripped and coming up along the edges of the room and looked very gross. The hallways are fairly loud with the pictures and hardwood floors. The clock radio is extremely bright and had to be placed face down on a towel to make the room dark. I wanted to like this property baed on the photos but I don't think I will be coming back until the next remodel.
