Great 1515 reviews

The hotel has a great location, within walking distance to stores, restaurants, and the beach. However, the property is outdated and in need of renovation, with common complaints about the beds being uncomfortable and the air conditioning not working properly. Some guests also reported issues with cleanliness and misleading pictures on the website.

The location is great, bed was comfortable…that’s about it. The pool closed early, it was a hike to get to it and there was limited seating. The beach was close, but there were no chairs or umbrellas out as advertised, for the $45 “resort fee” The lobby is closed and spooky, the smell of mildew was awful. If this is what a bougie boutique hotel is like, I’ll stick with the holiday inn! I’m not sure what was going on in the tissue box in our bathroom, appeared to be wadded up crusty tissues stuffed back in the box.

Would not recommend this hotel to stay in for more than a week. The pool is beautiful and prefect location to the ocean, but it lack of amenities is nothing . It's an old hotel. Ceiling was dripping on my shoulder in heavy rain. No parking garage outside self parking or Vallet parking charge $45 + tax per day. My room was so compact and located by the hotel restaurant so noisy and couldn't take a rest. Staffs were nice. I don't recommend this hotel.

Location, swimming pool Boring breakfast, you can’t cross different flavours as in buffet. They were very strict ( one blond lady in specific) you can choose only one option, can’t have sweet and sour in the same breakfast. Limitation is killing the experience. Pool guy charges a lot for having in your glass two sips and rest is ice.

Our overall experience was very disappointing. When we entered the room, we found a used water bottle left on the shelf. We informed the front desk and asked for it to be replaced, but instead of replacing it, they simply removed it from the room. To make matters worse, after checkout we noticed that the bottle had been charged to our bill. Additionally, the shower knob came off during our stay, and we had to wait over an hour for maintenance to fix it. The property itself did not have a proper reception area, guests have to check in through another hotel. It seemed like there was ongoing construction, but there were no clear signs or prior communication about this when we booked the hotel. Overall, it was not a good experience, especially considering how much we paid for a stay that was nowhere near worth the price.

Arrived at the hotel midnight and staff was very pissed being awoken and was short fused answering questions. The hotel is old dated small and with stains hair left in the bathroom. We asked weeks in advance for two rooms closer to each other as we traveled as a big family with smaller kids. They put us on the far ends of two opposite side of the building!

I booked this room because of it's location to the Miami Beach Convention Center. It was in walkable distance and helped me to avoid any traffic trying to get to the facility. The hotel was decent and clean but the location of our room was close to the outdoor patio. We can literally open our blinds and a party or group is dining right outside of our bedroom window. We had to listen to the noise until about 11-11:30 which I complained to the staff about. Since I had to be up early to attend a conference the next day, this was very disturbing for my son and I. They should have given us an option at check-in. This is poorly designed but I guess since it's Miami, the expectation is that people are up partying and hanging out so it shouldn't be an issue. If I ever choose to stay here again, I would definitely request not being close to the patio. Buyer BEWARE!

I recently stayed at the Liberty Park Hotel South Beach. The front desk staff—especially Claude—were very friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. The sink was clogged, and the noise level was quite high due to guests moving around, making it hard to relax. If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, this may not be the best option.

The pool area is nice - although there could be more umbrellas to protect from the hot Miami sun. The beach area is nice also - friendly staff, lounges and towels included in the resort fee, but umbrellas are extra. Everything was great except for one thing - the beds. The beds were awful. The mattresses we so broken down that even sleeping the in the middle of the bed didn't help. Clearly, they purchased the cheapest mattress available - which is strange to me given the number of international guests at the hotel. One would think that a European-standard firm mattress would have been their choice instead of the usual cheapest possible soft mattress you find in most American hotels. If there is a reason that we would not return, this would be it. Otherwise, everything was very nice.

overall, my boyfriend and i’s trip went smoothly at this hotel. one big thing to note is the hotel’s AC runs VERY slowly. the room does eventually get cool, but it will take a couple hours. the room was clean, and housekeeping did a great job. rooftop pool was wonderful. something else that may be helpful to others is that the staff doesn’t really speak english, and if they do it’s extremely broken. there’s nothing wrong with this whatsoever, but we did have a problem with the first room they put us in, and communicating it to staff was very difficult and took a lot longer than it should have. other than that, they were all wonderful and treated us well.

The check-in process was slow and the front desk staff provided no explanation or guidance, just handed us the keys. We had to ask a staff member for directions, which was difficult due to a lack of language barrier. Overall poor communication and a lack of consideration for family.

The bathroom was in terrible condition — the tiles were broken and moldy, and even the toilet seat was loose and unstable, which felt very unsafe and unhygienic. On top of that, the noise at night was unbearable. There was loud music and people talking all night, making it impossible to sleep. Overall, everything about this place felt neglected and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would definitely not stay here again.

The hotel was not as advertised. It did not have a lobby or any staff - you had to go outside to the hotel next door to check in, access the pool and speak to any staff. The beach was also not as advertised in the photos. The chairs guests had access to were in a section with a number of other hotels. We were sat maybe 20 rows back and couldn’t see the water. The golf cart service advertised was not available. The hotel also had a bit of a dank smell in the hallways.

We stayed at Liberty Park Hotel for a long weekend and it worked out really well. The first thing we noticed was how clean the room was, and housekeeping kept it that way the whole time. Be warned, they lock the thermostats at 72 degrees. We had to go back and forth with maintenance and the front desk for 2 nights for them to set it to 70 degrees. Windows are locked and filthy on outside. Bathroom window was covered with vines. Not enough loungers at the pool with just a handful of umbrellas. Room had scuffs on walls, ripped carpet, sheers were off rail so couldn't fully open. Elevator post advertises happy hour at attached restaurant with incorrect hours and we were never informed about the 2 free cocktails there daily. I rarely bother with reviews but want other visitors to be prepared. Check in area is at neighboring hotel and staff seemed bored to be there. Chamber maids were friendly though.

The fact that we were able to occupy sunbeds at the beach complimentary, however, only 2 of them and we were there as 3, our room was also booked for 3 people. That was the ONLY advantage. Rude staff, barely speaking English or not speaking English at all. Dirty bedding (we needed to change our room due to this), noisy nights, awful smell inside.

There’s a simplicity to Liberty Park Hotel that really works. It’s stylish without being overwhelming, and comfortable without feeling basic. Liberty Park Hotel has this understated ease that’s hard to find. You settle in quickly, and before you know it, your days just fall into a really nice rhythm—beach, relax, repeat. Nothing feels forced, and that’s exactly what makes it so enjoyable. Ending the day at Bella just felt like the natural thing to do.

Liberty Park Hotel ended up being one of those stays that just clicks without you realizing why at first. Everything felt smooth—the pace of the day, the comfort of the rooms, the overall vibe. We didn’t overplan anything, but somehow every part of the stay worked out perfectly. Bella in the evenings had such a great atmosphere, it naturally became part of our routine. A really easy place to enjoy.

If you're staying at Liberty Park, you'll have to check in next door at the Boulon (newer side). The Liberty Park side is cute but it's dated and needs upgrades. The Boulon side is more updated and modern. The roof top pool is really nice and the bartender is friendly. If you're staying on the 1st floor be prepared for some noise from the street and the courtyard restaurant.

Overall, it was an okay place. The check in process was not smooth. Upon arrival we were charged the $120 resort fee which we knew about prior. We were also charged $300 for security deposit that is still processing on my card. No one let us know that our hotel was in a different location than the check in desk, so we wandered around trying to find our room. The check in clerk saw us leave the desk and go in the complete wrong direction but did not say a word. The communication is not clear and you have to ask for things constantly. The beach ammenity is great and you get a two chairs and towels daily. I would not stay here again.

I had high hopes for this property based on the reviews and even approaching the hotel. It has a good location and curb appeal is great. However, the rest is downhill. The interior of the building is lacking in upkeep and maintenance. Our AC did not work properly and leaked all night long creating a pool of water in the room, even when maintenance was aware of the issue. Staff was less than personable. We also went upstairs to check out the rooftop pool which was super cute, but the pool bar was vacant. So we walked the perimeter and then left to go explore else where. This is important because upon check out, I had a fraudulent charge to our room for the pool bar and it has been impossible to speak with the manager about the fraudulent charge. I wouldn’t stay here again. I thought I paid a higher price for better quality and that is far from what we got.

Other than the carpet which was a bit worn, the room was very nice and all the features in it were clean and nice. There was a fridge (which wasn't mentioned) for which I was quite thankful. The pool was so warm and amazing (in March) and there was a hot tub (I don't recall seeing that on the web site). You got a free chaise longue chair and towel at the beach but had to pay $28 for an umbrella for a day. But overall a really good value for the money. And the garden dining area (I didn't eat there) was lovely and charming and so was the courtyard in the Bouchon next door (the two hotels were basically connected and you check in at the Bouchon).

The location is ok, fairly quiet and the beds are comfy. The little shady courtyard is a lovely spot to relax in. Our included breakfast was not a buffet but a choice of items off a separate menu, which turned out fine. The pool area is nice but don’t move your sun-bed to face the sun or you’ll face being berated and the wrath of the pool staff ! Also no drinking water at pool only bottle to purchase. The beach is close by, no shade unless you want to pay $25 for an umbrella! The gym is old and needs investment. Although, it says the hotel have bikes, they have one and it was punctured. Easy to hire bikes nearby. The staff need to get off their personal devices and do their jobs. Hotel information reeled off at speed upon check in, it’s a lot to try to digest, no further information in room, so listen up! I had to practically go into battle with the housekeeping staff to get basic things topped up, like toilet paper & towels. The hotel needs some serious investment in the infrastructure and training their staff to a better standard. Personally we had a lot of issues and did not consider it value for money.

The property is completely unstaffed, requiring guests to walk to the hotel next door for any assistance. Overall, the facility is in need of significant improvement, the pool.is nice but towels and garbage all.over the place. Most concerningly, my son had a severe allergic reaction to mold in our room, which resulted in a hospital visit.

The room was okay needs some updates but over all good. Beds were comfortable water in the shower was nice and hot. I say replace the fixtures that are falling apart and get rid of stained curtains and sofa cushions.. Didn’t have much encounters with staff. Nor did we get a chance to check out the amenities. Brunch at the orange blossom was very good. The location of the hotel was great but the parking situation is awful in Miami and expensive. I don’t like that breakfast is listed as included but actually for an additional charge and 40$ and night service fee that doesn’t include anything is crazy to me. Free parking I would’ve stayed there again but I would pay the extra money upfront to know where my money is going

Our room was simple but clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning staff did a great job. I read a few complaints about check in - the desk is actually located next door at the Boulan Hotel, but they are "sibling hotels" and the Boulan holds the front desk & the pool. It wasn't complicated, just something to be aware of. The staff was pleasant upon checkin. The hotel is about a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and the hotel provided free beach chairs & towels (umbrellas for $). The boardwalk is lovely, and the hotel has a lot of amenities nearby: a CVS around the corner, Joe & the Juice (bad staff but good coffee). We ate at the Orange Blossom (the hotel's restaurant) and enjoyed the pasta and service there. The hotel is right on the bus stop, which makes it super easy to get around. We took the bus into Miami to see the Perez Museum (highly recommend). But I have to say again: the pool! We loved it! Sometimes pictures can be deceiving, but the South Beach Hotel pics were very accurate. Lounging at the pool felt like paradise (for the price! As we heard one guy complaining at the check-in counter "I thought this was a 5 star hotel!" It is not a 5 star hotel! But you are not paying 5-star prices, so set your expectations accordingly! And swim!

The photos advertised for this hotel are misleading—they appear to be from the Boulan South Beach Hotel, which is in the same building and noticeably nicer. This property is now called Liberty Park Hotel South Beach (the name was changed just before we left). Cleanliness is a major issue. Getting a clean room, fresh towels, or washcloths on a daily basis was a constant struggle. Housekeeping comes around 8:00 a.m., and if you miss them, you’re essentially out of luck for the rest of the day. Our room had a cracked window upon arrival. The Wi-Fi routinely went out around 10:00 p.m. (sometimes earlier), which also meant no TV. There is no elevator, and the hotel itself is very old and in serious need of extensive renovations. Guest services were unhelpful—the front desk rarely answered the phone, so when we needed basic items like washcloths, we had to track down staff ourselves. Overall, staying here felt more like work than a vacation. Save yourself the headache and choose a different hotel.

Rooms are paper thin- we happened to have an extremely loud obnoxious room beside us…. First floor beside courtroom- NOT ideal. Again had people playing cards and drinking right outside our window. Front desk does not answer phone to help with this after 12pm at night. Let them know in the morning - not interested. So if you want a bad night sleep this is the place for you! Room was clean - side note the bottom sheet rolls off bed and you end up in a cocoon wrapped around you while you stuff earplugs in your ears and listen to your neighbors swear and yell all night. So fun.

My room was clean, with a little peeling paint in the bathroom corners. The hallways were a little worse for wear. The carpet outside my room looked like it could use a steam clean. Sheets, closet and drawers were clean - I always check. AC, TV, and mini-fridge worked great. I never ate at the restaurant so can't comment on food but I saw lots of people dining, especially in the evenings. A group party showed up on Friday night - big weekend after all - who made a mess in the courtyard, and it was all cleaned up by noon the next day. Housekeeping was attentive each morning, but I don't need daily service. I had the room cleaned 2x in 6 days. Very nice ladies, I hope folks tip them well!! It's no frills, but location is ideal between beach and convention center. 100% would stay again.

Opon checking in, clearly the hotel looks outdated from the the pics posted on expedia. Bathroom was old and moldy, toilet flushes super slow like its clogged. We asked the staff to come look at it but they never did. They are not accommodating. We asked for a late check out on Christmas eve and they "said" were all booked out. This hotel was clearly not full. The resort fee is a rip off and they never once offer the 2 free drinks daily as advertised. I'd stay away from this location!

The most ridiculous part was the AC situation - in a city as hot as this, the hotel locks the AC at 70°F and doesn’t allow guests to lower it. The room stayed warm all night, and I couldn’t sleep at all. On top of that, the noise insulation is terrible. You can literally hear everything from outside. At 3 AM, I could clearly hear people walking and tables/chairs being moved, which was such a nuisance and made sleeping impossible. This hotel absolutely does not deserve a 4-star hotel. I’ve stayed in 2-star hotels that were far better than this. Do not choose this place for your stay. Total letdown.

The room was nice and clean. However, I don’t think the price of this hotel is worth it. The reception is 2 hotels in 1 and belongs to Boulan hotel and south beach hotel, and south beach is probably the worst of the 2. The entrances and exits are super convoluted and confusing to find. This includes the path to the pool which actually belongs to Boulan. You have to go through a completely different building to get to the pool. There was no reception in the building our room was in. That being said the location was amazing!! Right next to the beach and super close to transportation and ocean drive.

Musty and tired hotel, not as pictured. Room was ok but small and bland and shower needs regrouting. Front desk staff were friendly but most of the time no one was there and we had to wait around for someone to show up. Hallway carpets are stained and the hallways smell. This is really two hotels functioning as one, so the South Beach lobby was completely empty and we had to walk through a maze of hallways, out through a back courtyard and into the other hotel to get to the functioning lobby. No maid service in 3 days other than changing towels once - didn’t make bed or replenish soap and shampoo. Beach amenities were good (free chairs and towels, $20 for umbrella, and helpful staff at the beach.) Location is ok but a bit far from the main part of South Beach so next time we’ll stay farther down.

My main problem was the rest of the staff especially front desk. I showed up mid morning had called the night before they said no problem on early check in but they made me wait 5 hours. Then they don’t even have basic TV in the rooms couldn’t watch World Series games 6 and 7 on Fox they have direct tv but I guess don’t pay for it. Lady at front desk said you can complain all you want and leave us whatever bad review you wish, talk about being trained improperly and being a bad brand ambassador. Couple other annoyances air conditioning didn’t work properly showers leaked water onto the bathroom floors. Couldn’t communicate with maintenance man because of a language difference. Maybe my trip was a one off I hope so cause it has potential with location. And I didn’t expect the ritz given the price point but still didn’t meet expectations of a mid tier hotel. I would be remiss if I didn’t share my rating and experience with those reviewing.

The hotel amenities are all functional. There is no water or coffee offered in the lobby. The staff are not very nice compared to other hotels I have stayed at before, I would say the service is mediocre. The same as the restaurant on the first floor, foods are good, but I can not appreciate the service.

I had a great time in this hotel. The facilities were clean, the amenities were great. I loved their pool, the only thing that the water was so hot in the pool for such weather I would have loved it to be refreshing. I loved their breakfast menu and the servers as well as hotel staff were very kind and respectful. I would encourage anyone to try this place as we enjoyed our stay. Great location as well!

First of all, the location is good. Not on the beach but it was very close. Could not find the where to eat. walked beyond the lobby and looks like a junk yard. really. the bed was very nice and the room was clean. The room above me was very loud. went to the loony at 11:11 pm and was told by security that this is a hotel. The person at the lobby just looked at me and said "sorry".

Great rooftop pool. Not the friendliest hotel front desk staff. Not knowledgeable about anything offered by expedia or for what was included in stay. This hotel is conveniently located to lots of things on Collins Avenue and the beach. Most of the issues with the room were fixed quickly. If you get the breakfast included option, make sure your tickets match what you pay for. same thing with the beverage tickets that were supposed to be provided. If you choose that option. Hotel information is not consistent and the staff cant / wont give answers. No fridge or microwave so eat all your food.

I was a little worried when I booked this hotel and read reviews afterword but i have no idea what some of the negative reviews are. Yes, the hotel seems to be under renovations and there is a slight damp smell in the hallways, but our room was perfect. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. Close to the beach and with a rooftop pool! I would definitely stay here again!

Short walk to the beach, you get two towels ans two chairs per room. Extra chairs or an umbrella were $22 each. Pool and pool area are small but ok for kids (but it’s mostly adults there). The front lobby is empty. Only had a mini frig that was packed with alcohol, some snacks in the room and no microwave.

Gorgeous property with a spectacular pool and good valet service. I wish they enforced quiet hours better; the front desk should at least attempt to ask and not wait for their security person. Would absolutely stay again, just on a higher floor.

AC was out until 3 PM the next day with no compensation. Woken up at 4 AM by loud employees outside, then again at 8 AM by housekeeping yelling down the hall—and they’ll open your door if there’s no DND sign. Got pink eye on the second night, likely from dirty pillowcases. Front desk gave me the wrong key three times. Staff was generally rude and unhelpful. Beds were uncomfortable. Only plus was the decor. Definitely not worth it.

Every morning at 8am, staff knocked on my door asking to clean the room—way too early and incredibly disruptive for anyone trying to rest. On the day of checkout, the official time was 11am. At exactly 11:02am, while we were just making sure we had everything before leaving, a cleaning lady knocked on the door and started speaking to me in Spanish—which I don’t understand. It felt rude and rushed, and I’ve never experienced a hotel so eager to kick guests out right on the dot. The soundproofing is terrible. I could clearly hear conversations from the room next door, which made it hard to relax. Also, I booked through Expedia and was supposed to receive one free drink each day. But no one mentioned anything about it at check-in. I only found out how to get it during checkout. Turns out, it's only redeemable between 4–5pm at the bar—not exactly convenient. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

The hotel was conveniently located near the beach and easy to walk around nearby. The service was decent and everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as comfortable as I was expecting for a 4 star hotel. On the way to the pool, the hallway smelled so bad we had to hold our noses the whole way. The hotel felt a little run down and poorly maintained (broken chairs, tiles).

I want to preface this by saying I had a wonderful stay, and if I am back in South Beach, these are the first people I am looking up. Since this hotel was probably 90 years old, some of the facilities are a little worn. The floor sags, there's a little bit of wear to the carpets, and they had a plastic tarp over a hole in the ceiling due to leakage. If that bothers you, go spend twice the price of your stay at the Marriott down the street. If you want a beautiful, clean hotel that looks about how it would have in the 1960s, with very helpful staff, a nice restaurant, stay at this hotel. I would say you would make a better choice than any of the real heavy hitters. These folks do a great job. Long live the South Beach hotel, and it is my privilege to give five stars.

It was great being a 6 min walk from the conference center, a 3 min walk from the beach, and next door to a CVS with non-tourist trap prices. The hotel is "combined" with another hotel so I couldn't figure out where the roof top pool is (needs better signs) then again why go to the pool when the beach is right there.

The hotel's location and cleanliness were great, but the housekeeping staff made our stay very unpleasant. Every morning at 7 AM for five days straight, they vacuumed the hallways and spoke loudly, despite me asking them twice to be quiet because our babies were sleeping. Nothing changed. On top of that, they knocked on our door between 7:30 and 8:00 AM every day trying to enter the room for housekeeping. We only got real rest after returning home. I would never stay here again.

Our stay was unacceptable. No A/C in the room when we got there. They allegedly fixed it and it went out again 3am. The location was convenient. The rooms however left much to be desired. The thermostat couldn’t be controlled so one of the two rooms remained about 74. The other was on the main floor and each morning we were awakened by staff yelling and getting ready for the day about 730am on vacation.

This hotel really could’ve be further from the truth than what it’s advertised as. So many things are unprofessional and will make you feel like you are not on vacation even though that’s what you paid for. Before booking I saw really great reviews which was reassuring but when we got there the hospitality and room conditions were very false from what they say. The first red flag should have been when we arrived at 11:30AM and the room was already ready within 10-15 mins, thought that was a good thing at the time but after seeing our room and noticing hair everywhere all over the floors, shower and bathroom, pee stained towels, and comforter stains it was clear that the beds were just remade and nothing was actually cleaned or replaced with new stuff. Second, I was told that the service fee for $182 was going to be ran through upon check via email, then after speaking with at the end of our stay at check out but after

The bed was comfortable but everything else was bad. Room was leaking so giant puddle in the floor. Floors were slippery and almost fell a doz n times. Bathroom door does not close and is see through so you can see, hear and smell everything (so gross). Shower had fake eyelashes on the floor so not clean. Mold in the window. Dust in the bathroom. Toilet did not reliably flush. Restaurant was way overpriced ($8 for a small dab of potato’s) front desk girl was so rude and unhelpful. I found other guests trying to find the elevator cause she didn’t explain where it was. Saw another guy slip and fall on the terrible floors in the public areas. She just told us our room is next door. When I ask where (since there’s lots of places next door) she just repeated next door. I said I do t know where that is and she just stared at me. Wandered around until I found it. There is no parking lot and no email to explain the parking situation. You have to park somewhere, check in, then move your car to valet which is $45 everytime you want your car so you are stranded there unless you want to break the bank. Just aweful aweful all around. Also valet was watching video on his phone and ignoring us when we tried to check the car

It was disappointing to be hit with extra charges when we checked in. Extra charge for parking, extra charge for “ resort fee” $100 deposit on the room. The reason I booked the hotel was for affordability. We uses the pool, after paying the resort fee, we were rudely asked to move our belongings off of some of the furniture at the pool. It was “ reserved”. No one ever came to use it.
