This stay was nothing short of amazing! Staff, room, location and the complete vibe of the hotel. This will be our stay whenever we travel to MIA.

HIGHLYYYYY RECOMMEND!!!!! I travel a lot for work. Traveling to Miami is a lot different than most places because EVERYTHING is expensive!!!! The New Yorker Hotel reminds me of the places I would stay with my grandparents as a kid when we would travel. A hotel owned by a family that takes pride in their business. The first day I met the owner she was fantastic. VERY kind and sweet and asked if i need anything to call the desk and ask ! FREE SAFE PARKING is huge in miami!!!! most places charge!!! NO RESORT FEES!?! most hotels in Miami have this made up charge. The grounds are really cute and maintained. The pool was nice!! The coffee and bagels in the am were really a nice touch for such an inexpensive place!!! I kept laughing the coffee shouldnt have been that good haha Its not the ritz its a really cute mom and pop style hotel with all the ammenities you need and its close to everything. Ill be staying here again !!!

It was centrally located for all of the activities I needed to attend while in Miami. The staff was very nice and the rooms were very clean. I would stay there again. The only thing that I could suggest is that they put a dresser in the room so that I could unpack incidentals and put them in a drawer instead of leaving them in my suitcase on the floor.
- 5/5
Bagels and coffee complimentary in the morning was a nice bonus. Front staff was super friendly and I had an easy check in process despite arriving after lobby hours.
- 4/5
The location was perfect for the events that we were attending during the weekend. The staff was very helpful and cheerful and the bagel breakfast was just enough and perfect. I liked the restoration of the ‘50’s motel - well done. It would have been nice to have dresser drawers in the room for clothing & incidentals

Clean, comfortable, basic but convenient breakfast, parking space, well-located. One night, they placed a guest in the room directly below mine who spent the entire night—from 1:00 AM until 8:00 AM—screaming. I tried to contact the front desk by phone, via text message, and even by going there in person, but there was no one available to resolve my issue. The next day, I complained at the front desk, and it seemed as though the employee was actually expecting my complaint; I mentioned that the guest was speaking as if he were on the phone, saying things like "I killed that person," "I'm going to kill [someone]," and "little girl." After making the complaint, I returned to the front desk and found the employee sitting at the breakfast table, chatting calmly with the person I believe was the one who had been screaming all night—displaying a certain familiarity that suggested he was already an acquaintance of hers. And nothing was done regarding my complaint.

Location was very good. Easy access to Biscayne Blvd. Room was clean, spacious. Had ac and ceiling fan. There was a swimming pool but didn't get to use. There was free parking but first come first serve.

Could hear every step from the upstairs unit. Water leaked from shower. Front desk reception was awfully rude. Everything.

First and foremost the hotel rooms are very clean. Nice fluffy towels and washcloths. Swimming pool was clean but could use it to be turned up about three to four degrees for the old people like myself. The only issue that the wife and I didn't like was the incredible amount of pot smoking in around the pool and in the complex, just gagging on that rancid pot smoke smell!!! Really enjoyed our stay and felt very safe in your establishment.

Clean place, quiet room even next to the street. Free parking is a plus
- 5/5
Pool side was pretty nice and it’s in the back of the hotel so it’s more private then expected for a motel property. The staff is super sweet and really accommodating, just ask, I’m sure they will help!

Tv streaming My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. Even after checking out early, the hold amount was still kept longer than expected, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. The room and hallways had a strong cigarette smell, and the AC was not working properly during my stay. I also experienced unprofessional behavior and poor attitude from some staff members at the front desk, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. In addition, the surrounding area did not feel as safe or pleasant as advertised. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Hotel is on a major bus route, although buses are not terribly frequent. Pool was a welcome relief after being in Miami all day. Plenty of diners and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was modest (although there is a Starbucks next door). The walls (and ceiling!) seem very thin, sounds and voices carried.

Breakfast was just a bagel and cream cheese after 8:00 a.m. as well as coffee or tea. 8:00 is too late for coffee for me so I had to go out in my car to get coffee at 7:15 a.m. I didn't mind but that would not work for everyone. Or for anyone who gets up early.

The hotel was in an excellent location, with plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Additionally, it’s just a short drive from the city's main points of interest. The room was spotless and very comfortable, as was the bathroom.

So noisy. You can here those in rooms above you and next to you as well as traffic. It is a motel and not a hotel. The bar area in back is falling apart and closed down. The bed is hard. The toilet paper holder was broke. There is no where for towels in the bathroom. Worst place I have ever stayed. Only plus was that they provided a list of nearby restaurants.

Room was clean and location is good. Price was reasonable as well. Beds were not the comfiest and street is loud. Customer service was severely lacking. We arrived after hours (11 p.m.) at which point we were unable to access our room and were left without accommodations. As a result, we had to secure alternate lodging at a nearby Best Western (which was excellent). When we requested a refund for the one night the room was unavailable and inaccessible, the request was declined. The manager stated they were unaware of our check-in time and said it was our responsibility to call to confirm it. However, I had already communicated our check-in time two months in advance of our reservation. When I pointed this out, the manager responded that “things change” and said we were expected to call again closer to the reservation date. I also asked why the hotel did not attempt to contact us using the information on file. The manager stated it was not their responsibility to reach out, citing a high volume of international guests and the possibility of invalid phone numbers. She also blamed Booking.com for the issue and implied it was our fault for booking through them. At no point did she attempt to apologize. Would not recommend staying here.

Front desk check in was very informal and professional . The room smelled like moth balls it was a smell tha stuck to your clothing once you left and unpacked you can smell it on your stuff yuk ! The water pressure in the sink was not good . It’s a good place to stay one night if you need something affordable. I would not stay again .

Lovely place location and foliage and beautiful friends. It’s okay I slept outside but only because the lizards. Otherwise I shouldn’t be sleeping outside if the hotel is open.

Never got to go I had booked this a while back. Then my plans were postponed. It was my mistake for not booking refundable. But they said it could be transferred to different days. Every set of dates I selected, they denied them. Even when the hotel had openings.

Iconic hotel with a really nice upgrade - providing a mix of classic past motel with an updated vision for the future. Love the murals and the color of the building.

It was a bit basic but there was nothing bad about it!

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel New Yorker and will stay there again as I travel to Miami often. It is a great place and centrally located. It could not be any cleaner.
- 3/5
The check in process was a pain if coming in late or have a delay flight
- 3/5
Well the place was not that great location was great it was really noisy and the front door had a gap about 3 in at the bottom so had to put a towel on the floor to block it off staff was ok not really top notch for Miami to me but it was ok for one night

The price and the location and the cute style of the building

Staff very nice, room was very clean, outdoor area needs a little TLC.
- 3/5
Stay was fine. Free parking if you have a car. Room was okay, ended up finding a dead cockroach. Only downside is if your room is on the first level, you'll hear footsteps from people on the second level... so beware.
- 5/5
The New Yorker give us nice room, very friendly and helpful . Good location for our Cruise embarkation for the next day. This is my 2nd time booking this property. It's for my friend for the first one and for this trip for me and a friend of my friend. Well recommended. 👍👍
- 3/5
On a positive note, there are many nice restaurants within walking distance, we had a good time trying them all. Overall, would not recommend without a serious overhaul. I understand it's a historic hotel and has a certain charm to it, but there are some concessions that need to be made in the name of modern comfort.
- 5/5
Very clean room the pool looks great even though I didn't use it and staff at the front desk was very very helpful and extremely friendly.
- 1/5
I wish I could make this a 0 star review!! It’s my fault for not reading the reviews before I book it, but I was hoping for a good experience. I do take responsibility for selecting this hotel, but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. First, I did not know that every single person staying in the room needed to show Id, for instance, my daughter didn’t bring hers, but hey, she was able to send a picture of it, for what? I don’t know, so I went for it, I am a rule follower. Second, why if I paid for my trip in advance, I have to put 150.00 deposit for incidents, normally on hotels is just 50.00. They allowed me to pay it in cash. However, no one explained that Incidents means EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM. My daughter is a blackheired girl, and sadly she stained a towel and 2 pillow cover, accidentally, when I did my check out, the No Named Clerk checked my room, it was clean, organized and ready, this No named Clerk took almost 15 minutes to check the room, inch by inch, I was like what is taking so long, when she comes in with pictures of the stains on the pillow case and towels, stains, not big ones. She charged me 45.00 for that. I was livid, no explanation, just she showed me the pictures and I don’t know from where the calculation started. I got so upset, that I lost it, I didn’t act correctly, but I was so upset, that when I asked for the manager, there was not there, and when I asked for names she refused to say any, this is why I am calling her The No named clerk.
- 3.5/5
Clean and location Staff was not friendly. I arrived at 2:00. My room was ready. They wanted to charge me $60 for early check in. I waited until 3:00 pm to be able to check in for free. Now sense whatever. I ask to talk to manager. They answer that was the rule. No flexibility for such a simple gesture. Bad customer service. I left with a bad taste and will not recommend. Empower your staff to delight your customer rather than follow hard rules. I hope to get an apology from management and commitment to change their rules to be flexible for easy gestures
- 1/5
When we arrived, the room was in unacceptable condition. The furniture was visibly dirty and stained, the chair looked grimy and worn, and the curtains were discolored with actual holes in them. It did not feel clean or maintained in any way. Because of the condition of the room, we made the decision to leave immediately and book a different hotel. We brought our concerns to the front desk and requested a refund on the spot. We were told it would need to go through the booking agent instead. I want to be clear: we gave the property an opportunity to resolve this directly and avoid escalation. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I also have traveled quite often and have stayed in motels I’m not against that. The issue is that this hotel is marketed as a 3 star hotel but neglects basic cleanliness while charging a 3 star hotel price. We are now having to go through a third party to try to recover our money for a room we did not use due to cleanliness and maintenance issues. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
- 3/5
The door wouldnt close completely unless you slammed it. The ironing board was terribly tiny, unusable for an adult.
- 5/5
It’ it was a vibe, the location and the neighborhood was definitely a location that will leave a lasting memory and imprint a cultured experience that no corporate hotel could ever match.
- 0.5/5
The staff was antagonistic from the beginning. This was a motel, not a hotel. The environment was noisy, the walls are not properly insulated from sound, and the staff and management are hostile towards clients who are not comfortable with their establishment.
- 5/5
We had an excellent one night stay before our cruise. Check in was very fast and the room was clean and comfortable. There’s an amazing Italian restaurant across the street. The staff was friendly and courteous. Definitely recommend staying here!
- 4/5
Heck in staff were excellent and really helpful. Room was spacious and clean, shower was great. It is on a main road so a room at the back was good.
- 5/5
Awesome spot! Great pool! Right on bus line!
- 3/5
Rooms were clean with sizeable bathroom. TV was small and didn't work, and contacting staff was confusing through several different methods with inconsistent responses.
- 5/5
Only complaint is the parking is so tight behind the hotel… found out my last night there was parking on the side of the hotel as well.
- 3/5
Great staff. Clean room. Couple restaurants walking distance which is nice. Only problem is the walls are paper thin. People above us sounded like they were dragging luggage and chairs around until around midnight. Maybe just get a second floor room if you stay.
- 5/5
The hotel is a retro-styled gem, with motel-style rooms. Everything was clean and well-tended. The reception staff was welcoming and affable. The hotel is on Biscayne Boulevard, the main route north from Miami. The #3 bus can be unreliable and crowded, but links one to Downtown and Aventura Mall in the opposite direction. The neighbourhood has Starbucks and the wonderful Jimmy's East Side Diner is a few blocks north. Reasonable price for Miami.
- 5/5
A wonderful gem! The staff was amazing on so many levels…hotel sits on Biscayne with tasty restaurants all around…a great park is right across the street.
- 5/5
Quite And just what you need the room floor felt like it could be mopped but that’s it
- 4/5
Very nice clean place to stay.
- 5/5
Very artsy boutique
- 5/5
It's missing a microwave but I did love the hotel
- 5/5
The room was a perfect size for 2 people. There was a nice pool and the lobby was very close to every room. I didn’t dislike anything, but an addition hook in the bathroom might be convenient!
- 3/5
There was no laundry basket or a place to put clothes. There was no place to put bathroom toiletries. I think that is a reasonable minimum requirement for a hotel, but because of this, I had to constantly shuffle my things around. The closet was tiny, but the shower and toilet were reasonably sized. I was told my room would be cleaned every two days. Since I arrived on Friday, I logically assumed it would be cleaned on Sunday. I'm not sure if it was my fault, but I didn't put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, so it should have been cleaned. When I returned to my room, nothing had been done, and the management didn't seem to know what was going on. In the end, they just gave me fresh towels. The woman at the front desk was very nice. She checked up on me and gave me an ice pack after I bumped my head on the stairs. The hotel provides food and drinks but no amenities like floss. It does, however, have bagels early in the morning, which is a nice touch. Normally, I wouldn't be this critical, but for over $180 a night, I thought I would at least get a place to put my clothes, like a few drawers or a small closet. But maybe that's just how it is in Miami in March. That's my honest review.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. Expect noise from road and cards. Room is bright from outside lights. Overall, a nice stay for one night
- 4/5
Perfect for pre-cruise overnight stay.
- 4/5
Didn't use pool
- 4/5
Pool was cold and looked dirty
- 5/5
Friendly staff. They held our luggage until our room was available.
- 4/5
Very nice vintage hotel
- 4/5
The room was a suite overlooking the pool area, very large and well appointed. The room was upstairs and with no elevator it would have been a challenge for us to take our very heavy luggage up the stairs. The gal at the front desk saw that my husband was walking with a cane so came to our rescue and found two volunteers to help us. We were very grateful and made sure to tip them.
- 5/5
The overall ambiance of the hotel is calm and welcoming. I especially liked the pool area—it’s a cute spot to unwind—and the outdoor seating is a nice touch for morning coffee or an evening chat. While the immediate area feels a little sketchy at first glance, I loved that I could walk right across the street for good food and great coffee. Super convenient! Plus, the shopping center is only about a mile away, and you’re close to the cruise ports, which makes this a practical base if you’re traveling. All in all, a solid, positive experience with lovely staff, fresh rooms, and convenient access to essentials. I’d stay again.
- 4/5
Yes!
- 4/5
Yeah!! Very cute place to stay!
- 4/5
The staff were fantastic! The pool was in need of some TLC, but was great otherwise. The room looked great at first, but needed a DEEP clean. The baseboards were gross and the ceiling needs some new paint. Some sound proofing would also be VERY helpful! You could hear EVERYTHING. The bed was comfy and, again, the staff were great!!
- 4/5
Room was clean and spacious
- 5/5
The room was spotless, the grounds were also. We definitely will return and recommend the Hotel.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, great value, clean rooms, and parking was very nice to have.
- 2/5
Very noisy rooms, you hear cars all night and
- 3/5
I have mixed emotions about my stay. The staff was courteous and pleasant and led me to the two nearby restaurants which were very good. The room was OK. Everything worked, it was clean, and the bed was above average. The only negative was the noise from the busy road. If you stay here try to get a room in the back. The courtyard is really neat, and the noise won't be as bad.

very clean, very comfortable, unique motel, updated, reasonable.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, very clean room, value for the price.
- 4/5
Adorable and unique. I was hoping to spend the evening outside but the cute pics must not be a Friday night thing? I’d stay again and visit the Italian restaurant across the street!
- 3/5
The staff was great. I loved the front desk gal. The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable. Their tech was up to date and the rooms were clean. It’s not a hotel. It’s a motel as all the rooms are ou not like a traditional hotel. For a motel though it was decent.
- 3/5
The room wasn’t OK condition, except for one small cockroach that ran across the floor. The staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Will be back next year!
- 5/5
It was clean, staff was nice

Clean Room
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. The only priblem was that the heating system didn't work. I didn't think I would need heating in Miami but it was pretty cold one night.

No complaints

Due to my surprise, this little hidden gem was a wonderful place to stay. I was a little worried on the drive here that we had made a mistake. The rooms and facility were very clean. The lobby was clean and the staff was SO helpful and kind. We had arrived six hours early due to an earlier flight, and the staff let us store our luggage, find a good place to eat, and relax by the pool. When our room was ready, we were extremely happy with the cleanliness of it. This place is definitely worth the stay and we would book here again.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful

Not many food options as stated in the ad.
- 1/5
This is not what is normally called a ‘Hotel’ - it is your average motel. As such is of medium low quality. So we decided not to stay but canceled on the spot! We should really be entitled to a full refund because of the false advertising
- 5/5
Cassandra is a queen! Perfect person doing the job
- 4/5
The room was clean, the shower was fabulous!
- 5/5
Great staff !
- 2/5
If you can afford to stay somewhere else please do. The walls are paper thin you can quite literally hear EVERYTHING. Small bugs ( not bed bugs) throughout the room including the bed. Staff gave someone our room and code while we were there, completely unsafe. The housekeepers are very nice, there is bagels every morning in the lobby guess thats a plus.
- 3/5
Better windows( soundproofing )

Staff was dishonest

The receptionist was a joy to work with. The room was beautiful. Pillows were soft. Smelled wonderful and clean. Would book again.

It was a great stay. Very close to everything and every Saturday morning there is a farmers market across the street! Many things to do. Will stay here again
- 5/5
Wonderful Staff. The room with the terrace is especially neat.
- 4/5
In their office they offer alcohol beverages and everything was very fair priced! Which I personally value. The only downside is our room did seem a bit motel-like rather than boutique hotel. There was a very strong cleaning-chemical smell, but hey, it was very clean though! The bed was average, not the comfiest and the linens were OK. It also was very noisy, our room was ground floor facing the front parking lot, and we heard everything from our noisy neighbors above us. Overall this is a nice place, fair pricing, and I would stay here again on my next visit!
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
Great stay, suite above the pool was amazing!
- 4/5
Located on a busy street with lots of traffic, especially in the morning during rush hour. Rooms are not soundproof so can hear the other guests in the other rooms.
- 5/5
nice and affordable place to stay, very nice stuff
- 3/5
Basic no frills room but clean. Location is off a busy street, so traffic is bad in the am/pm and loud, especially during rush hour with all the buses, trucks and motorcycles going by. Walls are thin in the rooms with no soundproofing. So you can hear everything going on with the other guests in the adjacent rooms next door and above, even a sneeze or a cough.
- 5/5
The only thing I would fix is the bed was not as comfortable as I would like. Still, I recommend this place.
- 4/5
I will stay here again the next time we go on a cruise. Walls/cielling is a bit thin and you can hear people moving above you. Otherwise it’s fantastic.
- 4/5
The check-in was a little slow seem to be a lot going on on the phone. I could only assume it was gas related. We got our room and when we entered, everything was pleasing aesthetically, but there was a aroma that could not be sustained for too long so we reported that to the front desk and they sent an emergency automatic services When we got back to the room late. It was fun besides the mirror fall off and scare me a little bit wondering if they were gonna try to charge me for it no, I didn’t break it. Everything else was pretty good. The parking was kind of challenging actually very challengingextremely challenging, but it’s still a great place because I don’t let anything ruin the experience of anything. it’s just an addition so thank you New York. Extremely challenging but it’s still a great place because I don’t let anything ruin the experience of anything. it’s just addition so thank you New York hotel

Room was clean. Staff was good
- 4/5
Kind Staffa d check in good
- 5/5
Room was immaculate. Nice spread of coffee and bagels. Helpful staff.
- 5/5
The room was spotless! The pool was lovely. Nice breakfast of bagels and coffee. Extremely courteous and helpful staff.
- 3/5
It’s very old has been remodeled but has the smell of old. The area is not great but thankfully it was only one night. The beds are tiny.
- 4/5
Staff
- 5/5
Pretty clean the front desk lady was nice and informative
- 5/5
Super clean and very accesible to our event venue Zey Zey. It was a 12min walk.
- 4/5
Mattress ia managebale but I qould recommend to replace it with more comfortable mattress. Late night hot drunking water availability in common area is good.
- 5/5
El staff super cariñoso, empatico y muy agradable sin duda lo mejor
- 3/5
No microwave and the ac didn't work properly
- 3/5
Staff was fantastic, room was clean. Location is not great.
- 3/5
The outside of the hotel looks worse than the inside.. The inside has all been upgraded. The parking is free. The property is clean. The beds are not very comfortable. A little to small. The rooms are equipped with fire sticks for the channels not regular cable. There is a nice swimming pool and outside lounge area...but at night be careful the homeless population took over the outside area and doesn't seem to be to safe if u are a female outside at night.
- 4/5
Helpful staff, good location for the port
- 5/5
Room clean & staff very good.
- 1/5
They refused to work with me to fix anything or with Hotels.com. This was the worst vacation experience.
- 4/5
Stayed 1 night for business travel. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Great, small art deco style hotel of the 50’s and 60’s. Close to shopping and restaurants by car. Rooms are small and quaint. Check is requires all persons staying in room show ID (city statute) which is a bit of an inconvenience.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms
- 5/5
Loved my stay here , will definitely book here again . Very clean and comfortable
- 5/5
All around very nice place to stay in Miami
- 2/5
Room smelled of must and cleaning chemicals. Lobby didn’t smell any better: there is no bar on the patio just filthy chairs.
- 5/5
I wish the patio table had been cleaned but that was the only thing. The staff was all amazing and very accommodating. I will definitely stay at The New Yorker again
- 5/5
La Sandra greeted us with a smile and all the information to have a wonderful stay. The property is very nice. The artwork is beautiful and the pool area is clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay. Very clean and the staff is great. Stayed 7 days on a work trip and will stay here any time I am in town.
- 5/5
Everything was great overall. Parking lot is a bit tight, and room was clean. One hope is for some rooms to have 2 beds available instead of just 1 bed. It would make it ideal for family trips or friends trips.
- 4/5
Neat, artsy, small hotel. Room right next to the road so noisy. Not bad for the price.
- 1/5
Booked a suite, when I arrived I was told the room I booked and confirmed back in July was not available. Ended up in a room 1/2 the size with no balcony nor pool view. They didn’t seem to care nor provided a price adjustment for the smaller room. Will never stay there again,
- 4/5
Room was clean | Staff was very friendly and accommodating | Parking was free | Pool was very nice and well maintained | Good value for budget Cons: Breakfast included was only bagels and coffee | Location was average | Building has a motel feel
- 5/5
Excellent service at reception. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom
- 5/5
The hotel is particularly clean. I enjoyed the balcony view of the city. This hotel is ideal for the practical.
- 5/5
A lovely Reto hotel. Great service. Walkable neighborhood. Taco place in parking lot is delicious.
- 4/5
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
- 4/5
Room was clean and cute, and a good size for what we needed. But, there was a gap under the door and that made the room very humid. Otherwise, no problems with this hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room Good location for Port of Miami
- 5/5
Theresa was great! This spot is a hidden gem.
- 5/5
Everything Was Great
- 5/5
Room was awesome, bed was comfortable and room was clean...we loved the décor and would stay here again.
- 5/5
The hotel did not clean the room each day
- 5/5
Hotel was super cute. And decently close to the cruise terminal. Front desk staff were great !
- 5/5
Room were clean and staff were friendly
- 1/5
Get a microwave for your rooms. Also have better TV services for rooms. Lastly parking was abysmal. Waste of my money & time, wouldn't ever recommend this location.
- 1/5
Staff members terrible
- 4/5
The receptionist was friendly and cheerful.
- 5/5
This hotel is clean and the beds were very comfortable. We encountered a fridge that wasn't working in the room and Cassandra, at the front reception had it swapped out quickly. Free parking is a bonus at this location as most hotels charge for oarking. I would highly recommend this hotel from the others in the area. It is about 10 mins drive to downtown Miami
- 4/5
Very cute older hotel. Very well taken care of and clean. Situated near a busy road so there is a lot of traffic noise. Bring earplugs! Other than that, it was great!
- 5/5
Really cute hotel.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
The New Yorker is the cutest little hotel and I had a great stay there. It has everything you could need and it is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. I loved the pool and courtyard area they had. You can tell it's an older hotel that has been given a face lift, so it's not perfect but it's clean and very charming. I do want to highlight that the staff was AMAZING! The two ladies who worked the front desk during my stay were polite and friendly and very helpful. The first person working when I arrived allowed me to check in right away, 4 hours early, free of charge. The woman who worked the evening shift was equally as lovely and kind. I wish I got their names because they made a huge difference in making my stay as wonderful as it was. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an eclectic, relaxed experience in Miami.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
The guests in the upper floor made tons of noise until 1:30 am. The floors are not carpeted. The lady at the reception is very nice and said there is nothing they could do
- 4/5
Overall, I was quite pleased with the staff’s performance and the room was clean.
- 5/5
This hotel was soo cute, clean, bright, with a nice sized pool and a nice patio area. It’s in a good spot, with a park, a store and a good taco spot right across the street. It was close to shopping and right on the bus line. My daughter and I came for the weekend before our cruise and wanted to go to South Beach. The bus that stopped right on the corner took us to a connecting bus right down the street and we got to the beach in about 20-30mins. The lady at the desk was great as well. She was very helpful with directions and a pleasure to speak with. I will definitely be back.
- 4/5
The staff were so kind and made me feel very welcomed and safe, provided me with early check in because my flight dropped me off super early <3 it was super clean in the room and pool too which I loved.
- 4/5
It was pretty noisy in the middle of the night
- 5/5
Nice clean location. Lots of stores around.
- 1/5
Worst place to stay , front desk people are the worst people ever. Be aware they will charge you fees that you don’t even know what those fees are for
- 1/5
I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB and the attourney general in the state of Florida. This non BBB accredited business under Flamingo Bar, The is a complete disaster. You should see the emails I have sent already. The formal paper work will be done. All the way to the top. The owner looks and smells dirty. Cool stuff on peoplefinder.com
- 5/5
The New Yorker Miami Hotel was the best, for the price. Spotless clean rooms; pool; bagels, tea and coffee in the morning; great parking and extremely helpful staff.
- 1/5
Its ok i gusse
- 3/5
We liked the old but updated style. The AC worked extremely well. The room was near the front of the property thus there was a lot of street noise. The windows just had regular curtains which allowed a lot of light into the room. There was a round glass table taking up a lot of space and very little space to place stuff. A rectangular table would provide more storage.spsce and allow room for a desk or chest of drawers to put clothes in. Also the restroom had no storage at all and the window sill is all the space. How about a hanging storage cabinet or some shelves and more than one towel hanger. Also thewster pressure in the sink was horrible with a flow resticter in it. The breakfast provided was awful with just bagels and cream cheese, no butter or jelly, regular coffee, no decaf served with one artificial sweetener 6sigar along with powdered creamer, no lids for the cups and all served in an outdoor courtyard with mosquitos when there is plenty of space in their lobby where they could set this up. Although the price was nice the negatives far outweighed the positives of the property.
- 4/5
Definitely a good place to stay without any frills.
- 5/5
The hotel is lovely, we enjoyed the area, and the kitchy artsy vibe is our thing completely. It's really close to the concert venue we were visiting, and the restaurants in the area are great. It is clean and cute. My only complaint is that the matress is a bit firm, but I think most people prefer that- I just am more comfortable on a soft mattress.
- 2/5
It is a motel not a hotel as advertised. Very small rooms will little amenities.
- 5/5
Recently renovated and well maintained. Beautiful pool and garden area. Friendly and not far from Miami south Beach and Marina.
- 5/5
I would stay again very beautiful
- 1/5
Couldn’t even stay here. The place was so disgusting!! and you can tell they don’t care about their customers whatsoever never had anyone from the team reach out to me after I wasn’t able to stay there because of their bug infested flea motel!! I wouldn’t even stay here if I was looking to just party in Miami. this place is not as advertised as online. if you want clean sheets, if you wanna clean room look elsewhere. Right after looking at the room, I knew I couldn’t stay there because of how unwell managed it was and the bugs flying around it. There was hair all over the floor.. bleached out disgusting towels, they were supposed to be Brown, but they weren’t because of all the bleach and chemicals used on them like no I didn’t wanna wipe my body with that… the front desk person never apologize for how disgusting the room was and that I would not be able to stay there and had to go find a new place at 11 o’clock at night… never received any follow up from anyone with management. really would recommend going to one of the Hotels on the beach, they are better manage, and you can tell they care about their guest. This is where I ended up staying and had a great experience.. Check out the days inn or the Radisson on the beach!!
- 5/5
Also liked all the murals and other decorating around the exterior. Parking was very convenient on-site. And Casey at the desk was very cordial and professional.
- 5/5
I appreciate the accomodations.
- 5/5
Check in was smooth. The front desk was wonderful. Provided a fridge with choices of drinks, which had my favorite apple juice! The room faced the highway however it was soooo quiet, you didn’t hear any outside noise. Salt water pool was a really cool feature.
- 5/5
Highly recommended
- 3/5
The bed was made in a rush and had visible stain.
- 4/5
Had a sweet short stay. Pleasant staff, clean room. Great area!
- 5/5
Great place. We will be back!
- 4/5
I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff is really friendly and helpful, the room was small and basic but very clean and had everything I needed. I was very comfortable, and it was in a location very close to the Adrienne Arsht Center, which I was visiting to see the symphony. Parking was a bit confusing and tricky, because there is a restaurant next door that people use the motel parking lot for, so depending on the hour, you may not be able to find adequate parking. But I was warned of this in advance by the staff and was able to make it work. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again, and really enjoyed my stay. It was exactly what I needed.
- 5/5
The front desk was so nice when I got caught in some storms on the way there. They stayed open for an extra 30 minutes so I could check in and have a place to stay for the night. Outstanding customer service.
- 5/5
The stay was great! We stayed overnight before heading out for a cruise the next day, and the New Yorker had everything we needed to kick our vacation off the right way!
- 4/5
The Miami art deco vibe was strong & interest. Loved art work
- 5/5
We had the best room in the property. Right on the road to the bus to DT. Awesome staff. Hotel is kinda a layout to a hostel in Europe or America. Good location for budget
- 2/5
The front desk lady was very rude at check in. I had to correct her and she apologized after for “being rude but other guests just don’t listen”. We went in the room and there was a dead roach, floor wasn’t mopped or swept and there was poop on the toilet seat. Told the front & waited 2 hours before we left . They came and cleaned the toilet seat but not the floor. Bed was fine, hotel was cute. No parking at night. Told the lady and she said “I told you to park in the back yesterday.” I told her that she did not see any such thing. Of course she tried to argue. When I asked her for a pronoun, she had an attitude and said you already checked out . You don’t need to print out to check out. Very unpleasant.
- 5/5
Zero complaints! Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
I loved it will stay again
- 4/5
Really loved the boutique hotel feel giving classic old school miami vibes. Rooms were clean. Shower temp and pressure wasnt great but the staff was very sweet.
- 5/5
Staff are friendly great place to stay and walk to with a park on the water across the street. You can rent paddle boards via an app.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice property with nice staff. Room was clean and had no issues. Wish was able to check early but not able that day. Still positive experience.
- 5/5
Great location for visiting all of South Florida. Friendly staff, comfortable room, great pool, lots of unique sitting areas under the trees or in the sun. Coffee and bagels in the morning was great.
- 1/5
When searching/booking on Expedia, I selected 1Adult, 1 Child & used the drop down menu to select my childs age. On this hotels description it states "Family friendly". Nowhere BEFORE booking does it state "ADULT ONLY". After booking, confirmation email states "Max # of children per room is 1" & gives further details for children <2 and children <17. No where in communications AFTER booking does it state "ADULTS ONLY". Before check-in, I rcvd a direct message from hotel asking for my email & phone so they could "communicate directly and provide a quick check-in". I gave immediately & they replied indicating they rcvd it. Upon arrival, Front Desk had no record of my rsvp, name, email, phone. She also stated she cant access Expedia rsvps. Why is she at Front Desk if she doesnt have access to Expedia rsvps. I have so much more to write but Ive reached the character max for box. Please check yelp for rest.

Great place -location, ambience, cleanliness-all excellent. It is an ArtDeco 1940’s structure and lovingly updated to retain its historic status. Great outdoor space also. Will definitely stay again!
- 4/5
it was a cute place, but i would not call it a hotel, it’s more of a motel. the pictures online definitely made it more grand than it is.
- 4/5
Cute little place, nothing fancy but clean and a place to sleep for the night. Definitely not worth full price, glad we only paid less than 100$ for the night after discounts. Close to the cruise port which is a plus.
- 4/5
The canvas pictures was different
- 5/5
I specially loved the self checking in since I arrived late. The staff was very nice and sent me an email on self checking since they saw I was not there by 10 pm. The lobby has drinks and there's coffee and bagels for everyone in the morning. Very affordable and clean. No complaints at all
- 1/5
The lady at check in spoke to us like children. She went on about how unsafe it was to be travelling in the area. We were put in a ground floor room & the door wasn't very secure. After everything that was said at check in we ended up leaving & going back to Orlando instead of staying!!!
- 5/5
I didn’t know what to except walking in to this hotel but, I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. It was very clean and they made the bed and gave us clean towels everyday. It is a old hotel but I would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
I had a long overnight layover in Miami and this hotel was just perfect, location wise, price wise, service wise and everything in between. Keeping it as an option for when I am visiting Miami.
- 5/5
good value
- 5/5
The rooms are beautiful.
- 5/5
Very cute little motel with vintage flare. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Loved our stay
- 5/5
It was a great clean hotel right in front of the park
- 4/5
very nice small motel...good restaurants near by.
- 5/5
Well renovated, love the ceiling fan!!!
- 1/5
Paid for a pool view - our room was actually below grade and if I stood on my tip toes I might have been able to see the pool. The locks are combination, first room didn’t work. Second room the room was actually still occupied and we were given access. Did not feel safe. Asked for room in second floor but was only available for one night. We left after one night despite paying for 2 - our refund for the second night was requested and denied.
- 3/5
The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was friendly
- 4/5
Our stay was great because we had the suite overlooking the pool as shown in the adjacent picture. The other rooms looked very basic. Great pool, enjoyable outdoor breakfast area, and friendly staff. Fairly isolated from the major attractions of Miami but this is an affordable and comfortable option, especially if you have a car.
- 2/5
Was just a meh experience. Way overpriced for a motel. No amenities, no bar, no nearby nightlife. Boring hotel. Would have been ok for about $100 less. But expected much better accommodations than actually received
- 4/5
The room was great, clean. No microwave or coffee service. Would stay here again
- 5/5
The property was so cute. There was a farmers market across the street. The patio and pool area was amazing. I loved lounging on the patio it was peaceful and trendy. I was able to walk to some very nice restaurants in the area. We stayed the night before our cruise and it was a short uber ride to the port. I highly recommend a stay here.
- 3/5
Right on Biscayne Blvd. That kinda says it all. Very friendly fron desk lady.
- 3/5
Breakfast was minimal. Facilities dated.
- 4/5
The hotel building has been around a long time and did show it's age in a couple places like the floor. However, it felt that it transported us back in time to when Miami was booming 50 years ago. The front desk staff of Casey, Melanie and Adele were super in answering our questions, storing our luggage and giving us directions.
- 4/5
We used this property for a pre overnight stay prior to a cruise. Good location and rooms were very clean. Property is basic, but I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
- 4/5
It is located on a heavy traffic road, so it was a bit noisy. However, I would stay there again. I liked the place.
- 5/5
Exactly what we weee looking for to spend the night before our cruise! Staff warm and friendly and room was spotless!
- 3/5
I stayed at this motel for two nights. It is located across from Legion Memorial Park. Independently owned, reconditioned motel, which appears to be from the 1950s. There are two sections and the front section is similar to a motel with two floors and the back section is similar to a hotel with 5 floors with stairs, but no elevator. I did not see the rooms in the back section. Reasonable price and my room was clean but small. I felt safe in this neighborhood. Friendly staff. Mini refrigerator and $5 water in the room. Wi-Fi in the rooms has acceptable upload and download speeds. Front desk sells snacks, wine, beer, and tequila. It’s not a Hilton or Hyatt hotel, so I had realistic expectations before I arrived. Large swimming pool and courtyard area. Room entry using an access code. Located on a busy four lane street so you will hear traffic in the front section, so you may want to request the back building for less street noise. This motel is good for people on a budget.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms
- 5/5
Location was ideal for us with the bus stop near by to travel into Downtown. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and has a fresh feel about it. Everything you would want in the room was there, great air conditioning.
- 4/5
Good value for Miami certainly, but weird to have NO contact at all with a human being. Everything was done online and through text - no key just a code to enter room. Room was basic but okay, sort of retro. Parking was very cramped - but I guess at least it was free. Pool area looked okay but did not have time to swim.
- 3/5
Nice boutique hotel. However, no full size ironing board and the beds are really low to the ground.
- 5/5
Amazing 100 out of 100.
- 5/5
The place was very clean and the remodel made it look so good. Very safe quiet area.
- 4/5
This was a really cute property. The rooms were clean and in good working order. Water pressure wasn’t great and the beds were not at all comfortable. The property was mostly clean except for the dining area. The pool was freezing but it’s February. Would stay again but only for a couple nights.
- 5/5
Our reception Cassie was amazing very informative and friendly, professional. The room was very open and welcome atmosphere. Definitely would book again for future visits.
- 5/5
The staff were so kind.
- 1/5
Close to the port for cruise, that is why we selected, but it’s along the blvd, noisy during night.
- 2/5
I was not impressed to see the room. Floor was dirty. Wall had dark marks. I couldn’t put anything on the sink. No where to hang face or hand towels. Shower was not cleaned. So outdated. I was so glad my son and I had excursions and only needed the room to sleep. I will not return to this hotel.
- 5/5
I like everything!!!
- 5/5
Affordable and the rooms were spacious and clean. Free parking and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Cute place!
- 4/5
I think calling it a "hotel" is a bit much, it's definitely a somewhat updated motel.
- 5/5
Great location and lovely reception team. The breakfast isn't worth it. I thought safety would be an issue as you're right on the road but all was good
- 3/5
The room was very clean, with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. However, there was no comfortable chair -- just 2 hard plastic ones -- and no dresser or chest of drawers, so we had no place to put our clothing. We had to live out of our suitcase for 3 days. If it were not for those two things I would be willing to stay again.
- 3/5
On the bright side the room was clean and neat. The price was great and it was a good location. Older hotel. Probably the 50s. Biscayne Blvd has them all along the street. The price was great. Terrific for young strong people but maybe not for older folks like me.
- 4/5
Good value for the price. Clean and convenient.
