It was very clean, modern, cute, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. I also appreciated that the office was staffed 24 hrs. The lighting in the room was dim. It was difficult to see adequately to do my makeup in the low voltage lighting in the bathroom. A small upgrade of bright lighting in the bathroom would make this room a 10/10.

Nice stay before our cruise. It was about a 20 minute drive to the cruise port. Very neat art deco 50s throw back hotel. The bed was comfy. The room was plenty big with a nice bathroom. TV on the smaller side. A lot of restaurants within walking distance. Staff was nice. Pool looked very nice but I didn't use it. Unfortunately their bar was closed during our stay. I would stay here again.

My shower was brilliant. The reception staff were so nice and friendly. Room was big , clean, comfortable, lots of channels and a dehumidifier. Nice touch Pool bar was beautiful and so sad it wasn’t open?! That would have been a real sweet place to hang out. Coffee should have had real cream or half&half and possibly a non dairy creamer instead of powdered creamer.

We stayed one night at the Vagabond. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. This was our first trip to miami as we went on a cruise. Locally we ate at the night at the Blue Collar restaurant which was great and breakfast at Jimies eastside dinner for breakfast. Very happy with our experience.

Always have a great time here.

Fridge was not in so we had to upgrade the room.

We checked in late and were only there for one night pre cruise. The reception representative was very pleasant and helpful. Did not get to use the pool but the pool and surrounding area looked very inviting. Lots of good food options nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Love it.

Friendly accommodating staff. Excellent room and hospitality
- 5/5
They called beforehand to ask if there was any room preferences (upstairs vs downstairs) as they had noted from previous stays preference for ground level due to accessibility issues. Have stayed her several times and always pleased with the cleanliness, quietness, and comfort.

Billie and staff were kind and efficient! Grounds are so clean and hospitality was wonderful. Cool little nostalgic place from the jetsons era and wonderful to see the copper tone girl still on the wall across the street. Brought bad sweet memories
- 5/5
The Vagabond had excellent staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. It is a very retro and eclectic motel.
- 5/5
The hotel was just perfect for our anniversary – charming, authentic, and full of thoughtful details. The quality-to-price ratio is excellent, and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone passing through Miami. It’s truly one of the best addresses in the city – a hidden gem with a personal touch! A big thank you again to Billie and all the team, we can’t wait to come back!! :):)

My stay there was great. I was in there waiting for layover I had and met up with a friend. Enjoyed my short visit.

The bar restaurant, the pool all fun🌞 The bed was sooo comfortable!
- 5/5
Great property - check in was easy - forgot to get a name but the woman was very friendly and helpful. The pool bar was open and we had drinks there after dinner. Sebastian was a good bartender. Plenty of great restaurants close by - ride share or car recommended - not very walkable. The beds bs linen were exceptional. The rooms overall quit good at this price point.
- 4/5
When we pulled up after dark, the location looked very ran down and we were not sure we were in the right location. While the room itself was nice, the location and the outdoor areas were lacking for the price and what we thought were going to get. We should have just stayed at a Hilton.
- 5/5
lovely staff super clean super cool👊
- 5/5
We evacuated for Hurricane Milton. We were fortunate to have enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were wonderfully clean. Loved the art deco! The staff were as helpful as they could be . The pool area was welcoming and the workout gym more than adequate . Prices were very reasonable! Recommend highly.
- 4/5
The common areas weren't as neat as rooms were, which was a little disappointing.
- 5/5
We stayed here while evacuating from hurricane Milton. The staff were very friendly and had great communication. They asked if we needed to extend our stay. We appreciated the daily free water and 24 hour coffee and tea. We had a very quiet and comfortable stay. The place was very clean and tidy. The pool area felt like a little tropical oasis. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back under better circumstances!
- 4/5
Outside looked quite date but the rooms were super clean and comfortable.

Unique property. Clean rooms. Immaculately restored to its mid century modern glory!
- 5/5
Loved the hotel and the pool. Not near lots of places but an easy 20-minute drive.
- 5/5
This hotel gave me genuine joy. It has a genuine groove. I looked forward to coming back in the evenings, my room was great, the pool is a cool scene, the bottomless coffee in the lobby made my mornings, and the staff were just fabulous. And the whole "LA retro" thing put it over the top. Will be back.
- 5/5
So clean and neat! Will definitely stay there again when I go back there.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, which was so nice, but it had a very odd smell. There was a dehumidifier running in the room, so maybe they were trying to get rid of the smell. It was similar to a wet dog. I live in FL & have never had humidity do that, so maybe the carpet needs replaced?? That was the only issue we had. The dehumidifier was very noisy so we shut it off to sleep. By the middle of the night I no longer noticed the smell. Either the my nose got used to it, or maybe the machine made the smell. The other rooms were probably fine as the whole property seemed clean & well maintained.
- 4/5
No fridge or microwave available, everything else was great. Best pillows ive had at a hotel in a long time!
- 4/5
Shower was hot, AC was cold and bed was comfortable!
- 5/5
My experience here. What's amazing staff was very helpful. Cleaning crew., amazing. We'll come back here multiple times best place to stay.

I am picky. And I cannot overstate how much we loved our stay at the Vagabond. It’s extremely well cared for. Every staff member was so so kind. The service and care they provided was better than a fancy high rise hotel. Our room was CLEAN. The bed (nice organic expensive mattress - I checked) was extremely comfortable and the pillows were awesome. High end nice linens. A lot of attention to detail. The walls looked freshly painted. We felt very safe. We spent 2 days in paradise by the pool which is very private. Comfortable lounging beds and umbrellas. The bar is fabulous and adorable. Overall stay a blast back to the past - cool retro vibe - in the best way possible. I will only choose The Vagabond when in Miami. For the price it can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a fancy and fast South Beach vibe - this is the opposite. Also there is the best French bakery one block away called WeWe. Go for the lattes and croissants every morning. You’re welcome! (The Vagabond can’t take credit for this - but our mid March weather was perfect!) Thanks to Juan and all the folks at The Vagabond!!!!
- 5/5
Staff was super nice and room clean comfortable and quiet. I would stay again
- 5/5
Very nice place, friendly staff.
- 5/5
Pleasant, welcoming oasis in a city landscape.
- 4/5
Clean, Nice mid-century renovation. Unique style. 4 stars for the lack of warm lighting options in room… but the one thing that stressed me out is I checked in at 10pm after traveling all day and humidifier was filled with water so it wasn’t working and AC was turned very low so room was hot and humid. After trying all the different settings on AC (remote was confusing), front desk manager came by and he tried to make sure AC was working properly— it just wasn’t set to have the room cool upon arrival so it took an hour to get room to a comfortable temp. When you’re tired, it just makes those details unpleaseant. Overall, it’s worth a stay and these things can easily be resolved if staff prepares for this.
- 5/5
Vagabond is a cute retro remodeled hotel. It has a beautiful pool area. We only stayed 2 nights, I would have loved to stayed longer.
- 3/5
Door to room was milky glass and the outside light poured into room. It was horrible I could not sleep at all. Too tired to ask to change and yet not tired enough to sleep in the bright light.
- 5/5
Great little place you MUST eat at the taco joint down the street. I just remember 66 was in the name of the restaurant. We at dinner at the Greek place next door and loved the food!
- 5/5
Loved the theme, pool with a bar too Room was large, bed was comfortable A very pleasant stay, won’t hesitate to rebook when back in Miami
- 4/5
Beautiful property
- 5/5
My husband and I were pleased with our stay.
- 5/5
Everyone, at ever level, was kind and friendly. The pool was such a wonderful plus for us and was kept clean and tidy all around the property. And the restaurant sort attached to the property is fantastic.
- 5/5
My wife and I stayed at the Vagabond for our 7th anniversary. We love everything retro and vintage, so we were extremely happy with the hotel, its restaurant, the pool and the cabana bar. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We are planning to go back for my birthday in a month. Could not be happier with our stay.
- 5/5
Excellent bar and lounge
- 5/5
Everyone was lovely. Property was great.
- 4/5
It’s a fun spot that’s conveniently located.
- 5/5
I frequent this hotel for business. Very nice staff.
- 4/5
Nice motel, clean n accommodating personnel. Would stay again. Try Jimmy's diner right down the road.
- 5/5
We love this refurbished midcentury motel. The pool bar is a wonderful spot to meet up with travel companions or to meet new people. Sebastian was especially fun, helpful and kind. His playlists were awesome from 80's to current chill vibes. The front desk staff was so nice, especially Linda! We have stayed here a few times. now and all the wonderful thing about this property are consistent. We love you Vagabnd!
- 5/5
We LOVED the beds - so comfortable. The property is very retro and unique, great curation of neon and fixtures that made it really pop. We ate at the restaurant attached to the motel and it was extremely delicious. This was a one night stay as our flight was cancelled and we were very pleased we chose this as the spot to hang out for the night.

I loved this little hotel! It was quaint and quiet, even though there were families with kids. Housekeeping was prompt and daily. Rooms were spacious and nice! It was a bit pricy considering there was no breakfast available, but overall it was really nice! A bunch of nice cafes nearby so that helped!
- 3/5
A couple of lights in the room didn't work but it was a minor detail. My experience would have been perfect had it not been that when I arrived at the front desk the system had a problem with my card and even though it was 2 am they would not let me access my room and the only solution was to go to another place, in this case a friend's house. I find it incredible that in a hotel with these characteristics, having my name in the reservation system and knowing that it is 2 am the person in charge of the reception did not find any other option to solve the problem or at least let me enter the room and then the next day try to clarify everything. In the end it was an error of their system and I as a customer had a bad experience and this makes that although everything was fine during my stay I can not give a good comment.
- 5/5
We had a couple of nights stay here at the end of a busy holiday, to relax. The rooms are bright and clean and the pool area is lovely. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Property and area are perfect. The pool bar is great to unwind after a long day of sight seeing. The a/c unit in our first room was no working but after notifying front desk we were moved to another room with a very cool unit.
- 5/5
We loved it! I’m not normally a motel person and was nervous- but this adorable retro property exceeded my expectations. It was clean, quiet, free parking and affordable, and provided great service by Juan Arias, who helped us with recommendations on what to do in the area. This is a great location with super cool interior design, right near Miami and the Design District… book it and you won’t regret it!
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The pool area was delightful with lovely plants and real seclusion. Lots of chairs but didn't feel crowded. Chairs available as well as sunbeds which is unusual. Free tea and coffee all day. One recommendation would be better choice of teas!
- 4/5
Nice clean motel with a good restaurant adjacent.
- 5/5
This hotel was the one i was MOST excited about staying at on our trip and i wasn't disappointed. Its a freakin GEM. The whole place has so much character and it looks EXACTLY like the pictures. The rooms all look brand new, the interior design is so enjoyable and the showers are absolutely incredible. It is in an a historic neighborhood and the entire experience was unique. Lots of awesome restaurants in walking distance. The rooms have dehumidifiers and individual a/c units, so the air was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the beds. They are not comfortable at all, the mattresses are very very firm. My husband prefers firm mattresses and these were even too much for him. However, we were pleased enough overall that we would still stay again. Sadly, it was too cold to use the pool so we didnt lounge about, but i wish we did. It is idyllic looking inside and out.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Only issue was the cleaning solution used in the rooms severly irritated my throat that i could hardly sleep as my throat was burning. Appreciate the extreme dissinfecting during covid but whatever is used is really strong.
- 5/5
Really enjoyable stay at the Vagabond Hotel. We stayed in 109 on the ground floor which is one of the larger rooms including a sofa, fridge, personal safe and coffee maker. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed in a retro style. I particularly liked the wall art. Large and very comfortable bed. Air conditioning works well and a dehumidifier is supplied for extra comfort, another thoughtful touch. The pool and garden area is fabulous where we had a refreshing swim most days and spent some time relaxing on the comfy sun loungers. It gave us peace of mind to see that pool guy was there very morning cleaning. There is also an impressive pool bar which is open most evenings, although we didn’t get an opportunity to visit. Great customer service, particularly Wally, Louis and Juan who were always very helpful. Many thanks to the whole team, we are looking forward to returning to the Vagabond Hotel again soon.
- 5/5
It was a pleasure to return to the Vagabond for the 6th or 7th time
- 5/5
I love the retro theme! Everything is very clean and well managed. The only thing I’d change is adding a small fridge to all the rooms that don’t just to make things convenient for all guests.
- 4/5
Vagabond’s retro style is great but also has its drawbacks. Loved the room furnishings but the power outlets were difficult to access as they were underneath the tables. There was a USB port in the desk lamp but these days people have multiple devices. Generally, the hotel has a great vibe and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks team!
- 5/5
After the renovations 4 years ago, it is in great condition and the location is great.
- 1/5
The decor was nice but the air conditioning in the room is not powerful enough to cool a 300 sq ft space. I had a terrible night. It’s too hot in FL to not have AC. I do not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean property, front desk was friendly and amazing from the beginning, the rooms are completely renovated. The only missing thing was no refrigerator. I plan on staying there in the near future. It is away from overcrowded South Beach and close to the museums.
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay and loved the Mid Century vibe. I suggest they cover the window with black out shades. There was way to much light coming in from the window at night.
- 5/5
Excellent stay
- 5/5
Excellent place , staff was really friendly , easy to get around from the hotel and the pool bar was quite fun
- 4/5
Marvelous restoration, no improvement, I'm sure!, of a 1950's-era motel. Lovely landscaped pool with bar, great restaurant and bakery on premise. They've even figured out guest parking!
- 5/5
I would highly recommend the Vagabond to anybody looking for a nice, clean, fun, and friendly place to stay while in Miami. I really enjoyed my stay at the Vagabond and their pool is so nice and relaxing, I will definitely be booking here again whenever I go back to Miami!
- 5/5
Amazing place for couples. They have a really nice pool and bar.
- 5/5
Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. 5 star experience all around.
- 5/5
What a great, fun spot! It was clean and had a great personality. The afternoon relaxing by the pool was perfect! I would highly recommend this place, we hope to stay there again.
- 3/5
The hotel is nicely renovated and we booked the room based on previous reviews. However, when we arrived for a 2-nights stay we were assigned room 127. Although the room was cleaned, it was situated next to Me. Mandolin Restaurant and it seems very loud already. Even the access to our room was throughout restaurant patio. When asked the manager to be moved to a different room, we were told that they don’t have any rooms available. My observation was that there were rooms unoccupied on the first night, as well as the second night. The nights were very loud not only from the restaurant noises, but also from the hotel bar that run late into the night. I feel that the management of the property lacks as nobody bothered to check how we were after the first night. In addition, the room had a persistent moldy smell every time the AC was on.
- 5/5
The location, the hotel, the pool grounds, the on-site restaurant!!!! Everything was A-1 FAB!!! I loved, loved, loved the VIBE!! It's close to everything and far away at the same time! My BF and I really enjoyed ourselves! I want to tell everyone about it but I kind of want to keep it to myself. So if you are reading this!! BOOK- NOW!! The staff is wonderful! I left a ring behind and the staff immediately called to let me know not even an hour after we checked out. We will be back! You should just book & catch the vibes.
- 4/5
The rooms have a funky design that some people may like, but the fact that the bathroom didn't have a door was a bit strange for us. Also, the AC didn't get as cold as we would have liked, although it wasn't uncomfortable. Cute spot for a quick getaway, but I wouldn't stay more than 1-2 nights.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, updated etc.
- 5/5
This boutique hotel has a Mid-century look. It is small but cozy. Very clean, bed sheets and towels are fresh and the cleaning crew does a wonderful job. Great value for the price. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Loved the outdoor pool and pool bar, Mr. Mandolin on site restaurant was good. The room doesn't come with a refrigerator which was annoying, it's an extra $10/day if you want one.
- 5/5
Best Hotel in Miami, beautiful rooms, beautiful sites, on a nice street with good restaurants. You will not be disappointed with booking this hotel. Better than 99% of the hotels I’ve been to in Miami.
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful the outside throws you off at first, but once you are inside it’s so different. The bar at night looks beautiful give the place a different look. The staff was just overall amazing supper nice and kind.
- 5/5
Great tucked away spot with really comfy beds, nice showers and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Onsite restaurant has very good food too.
- 4/5
I loved the room, it was very clean and smelled amazing. The only thing I didn't like is that the pool looks nothing like the picture. It was not cleaned and was full of leaves.
- 5/5
Loved this hotel! We were pleased with the layout and especially the amazing pool/bar area. Everyone was super friendly. Also, the Greek restaurant attached to the hotel is fantastic. Great experience overall!
- 5/5
The hot tub, front desk person and cute room decor along with a great location made this a great find!
- 5/5
Very clean !! Felt safe! Lovely retro motel with a great pool. Very nice staff who were so happy to help us!! Thanks Mae!
- 5/5
Amazing. Very helpful staff.

Love vagabond!
- 5/5
Very nice, very clean place. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
If we visit Miami again we will most definitely try to get a room at the Vagabond.
- 5/5
Very cute place! Called a motel but much more like a nice hotel. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. The pool and bar area was very nice.
- 5/5
A great, relaxing place for a staycation. Pool bar is a great hangout.
- 5/5
Staff led us to great art areas, place to watch the Superbowl and wonderful restaurants and bakeries.
