Every time we went out the property and Back in the young girls at the front would ask us again if we had a reservation for the restaurant, they had seen us a few times leave and come Bach but continued to ask about it even though we had proved we were staying at the property, real annoying. Valet is real bad, no help at all and took 25mins to bring the car to leave. I would recommend to book the restaurant as that was good but don’t stay at the hotel, it’s not setup for guests and more a tourist attraction.

This was definitely an amazing experience for us! He loves Versace so was a win win for me lol. You will have to remember that you are staying at someone's mansion from the 90's so do not expect the Ritz Carlton. Its humble yet elegant. The staff were amazing and made us feel like royalty and family the entire time, from check in to well past check out. Our cruise was a few hours past check out but they treated us the same until the car picked us up for the port, well past that time. Swimming in the Versace pool was amazing and sharing the exclusive time, with breakfast, with the other guests was cool. They have a sister hotel next door where you can swim til 7pm for the later swimmers. As mentioned, book knowing that you are staying in an old mansion and you will have a spectacular time like we did. We will definitely book again and do another room to experience it. If you have an open mind, then hit book now! If you do not, the Ritz or Hilton is calling you, BUT.. just know you will miss a great experience. Life is nothing but memories... so make them GREAT! This was one of the greats that him.and i will not forget!!! Happy and Safe Travels!!!

The property/mansion is amazing. I felt like I was transported back in time. To truly appreciate the Versace Mansion, you need to stay in one of the rooms. They are unbelievable. My bed could have slept 6 people easily, The decor brings you back to the time of Versace. It's incredible. The ceilings, the beautiful showers, the detailed decor is absolutely stunning. When the sun shines through the stain glass windows, it's a beauty and peace to experience. Each room is unique. The restaurant is great. The food and service is very good. We were treated like royalty... I especially want to thank Fiama and Luis who made our check in and check out very smooth. Fiama ordered champagne for our dinner which was a very nice surprise. We were celebrating my daughters birthday. We definitely will be coming back very soon. Thank you

Talia, who checked us in, was really nice. She was so nice at showing us a number of suites that we could choose from. Throughout our stay, she was always asking us if there was anything we needed. We will diffintly stay at the Villa Casa Casuarina in the future. It could get a bit noisy at the hotel at night.

We booked for our 5th anniversary, and a complimentary Prosecco offered at check-in never arrived. The next morning we upgraded to the Signature Suite, where we found a dead cockroach by the nightstand and old debris in the bench tufts. Housekeeping cleaned quickly, but we waited 23 min in the lobby with nothing offered. The front desk blamed the cockroach on the weather rather than owning it, and the make-good was the same cheap Prosecco originally promised; at this rate, a Moët or similar champagne would cost little more and land far better. Back upstairs we noticed a stain on the robe, a hair on the towel, and a broken bidet. We didn't bother mentioning them; on a two-night stay, every minute counts. At the pool we were the only guests both days, yet things kept going wrong: missing cushions one day, no chairs the next until I asked, and no drink service either day. Outside, restaurant staff stopped us as if we were walk-ins despite how few hotel guests are on site. The pattern reads like a restaurant and bar first, with the hotel as an afterthought. At a modest rate that would be fine; at this one, the gap defines the review. We'd stay again, but next time we'd be more proactive with staff from the start. At this rate, that shouldn't be the guest's job.

Giannis sweet is nice and quiet - not applicable for other rooms in this hotel. Bed is huge and comfortable. House full of history - worth to see at least once. Hotel lobby and restaurant open to public from 11am till late night - so a lot of people taking pictures and no privacy (except in the room). Pool you can use until 4pm, but restaurant is open, sunbeds are broken, towel service terrible and drinks for the pool as well. Everyone is more concerned about restaurant guests. No space at the poolside either. Weird situation overall.

It was Gianni Versace’s former home Not only was the staff very rude, but I was lied to about amenities that were available to the guests and not only is the furniture in the exceptional suite specifically the aviary suite, torn old, ratty, and disgusting, but there was so much dust caked up on the chandelier. It aggravated my entire parties allergies, the lime scale, calcium, and rust was built up on the bidet, the toilet, and the shower fixtures was so bad it was turning blue! The wood floors were scuffed and nothing about this was luxury the toilet paper was so thin I could read through it! There was also exposed electrical wiring, so the lamp wouldn’t work and the outlet is completely uncovered and broken on one side, which is a fire hazard!

Sadly a horrible experience. This place should just be a restaurant and not a hotel. It’s loud, very busy, run down and not suitable to hotel guests. There is barely any room to layout at the pool because it is filled with tables for the restaurant. Our room was falling apart; the furniture was broken, mold in the bathroom, window cracked, only two lamps in the room so couldn’t see while you were getting dressed at night. The air conditioning was only on or off. When it was on it was incredibly cold. If it turn it off it gets hot. The room was described to overlook the beautiful pool which you cannot see as it’s covered by a large awning for the restaurant. The room is very loud. You can’t nap and won’t be able to sleep until the restaurant and bar guests leave. The bed canopy was broken and loose. The hotel staff seemed nice, but disorganized and frankly discontent as the complaints were frequent and they were very aware.

Our stay at the Versace Mansion was amazing from start to finish. The setting is breathtaking and filled with character, and every corner feels like a work of art. The restaurant was exceptional, and we were seated by the pool for dinner with a wonderful view that made the evening feel even more special. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The staff went above and beyond, especially helping carry our bags up and down from the room, which made everything feel effortless. Staying here felt both luxurious and welcoming, and I can’t wait to return.

now to be fair the area manager did eventually appear and came to apologise and tell me he’s dealing with his unhelpful staff and offered a half refund. even though there were no real dining options for the night and the paying hotel guests were made to feel in the way. the room should of never been sold for the night. the room i did stay in the safari room was ok - tattered but not sure if that was because it was safari themed or just not mentioned . i am expecting a Versace High end luxury experience and was left feeling cheated and not to bery welcomed. i have been assured if i stayed again things will change we shall see.

Our stay was very good. We loved the history of the residence and the ability to see a lot of the home that others who are not staying there do not get to see. Also being able to swim in the iconic pool was great! Being an older place there are issues such as doors that do not close well and damage to trim and paint and just general wear and tear around the place. If you are expecting modern luxury and cleanliness then this is not the place for you but if you love the history and significance of the residence and the uniqueness of it then you will love it. The breakfast was great and our server made it spectacular and took very good care of us. He made us feel very special and the food was delicious.

The bedroom linens and pillows are old and ripped. The bedsheet had a large stain on it. The hostess that took us up to our suite upon arrival never bothered to tell us how to operate the thermostats (or even where they were hidden). The room safe would not work, so we had to call maintenance. The toilet plumbing had issues. It took a very long time for the toilet tank to refill with water. The hotel pool was very dirty (needed vacuumed) and the chaise lounges are old and ripped. The bar and restaurant, on the otherhand, were off the chart!! We ate 3 meals in the restaurant and the food and service was exceptional each time. Too bad the hotel management team is not as great as the restaurant management team! What a difference in management! Janina did comp us a bottle of wine at dinner and brought us a welcome drink to apologize for our troubles with the room (only 1 bed). I would definitely return to dine again at the restaurant but i have no interest in ever staying at the hotel again. It is overpriced and outdated.

When it is cold outside 40's-50's; it is the same inside the Villa. Our suite was nothing special to brag about; I have had much nicer rooms in other properties. As the Villa has a larger quantity of stone finishes the noise form below carries upward and is mostly stopped by the thick door of the suite. The HVAC was not operable. The room thermostat read 63 degrees when we arrived and remained there except for a brief flirtation with 64 degrees. Maintenance could not correct the issue so the solution was to provide us with additional blankets. For a stay which left my wallet significantly lighter I absolutely wish I had traveled elsewhere.

Even though swim times were in place until 4pm, who wants to be in a bathing suit, swimming in a pool, in front of fully dressed public guests who are eating???!!! That's absurd! Our only other option was to swim in the pool after midnight when the dining closed. Then we had a piece of broken glass, almost dime size, IN the pool that got stuck in a foot! I still have the broken glass! We were neglected at dinner for almost 30 minutes, watched the table next to us come in at least 15 minutes after us...get service and food before us...then we only got one refill of water after our glasses remained empty while we were eating. No one even offered to help us with our luggage checking out. Who could POSSIBLY sleep before 1am when the kitchen and dining area is SO loud??!!! It closes at 12 but they don't care about the noise and the public guests are allowed to stay WAY past 12! Oh...and they left the stairwell next to the kitchen so wet there was standing water at the entrance all weekend long. Thankfully, we know how to walk carefully in our heels and did so without slipping on the wet tile floor! We had a tub in our room with jets that didn't work and hardly any hot water. It was not a good experience at all. I would recommend to visit, just to see the rooms, the pool, and the grounds, but I would NEVER recommend the stay there. It is NOT WORTH THE MONEY at all! I heard that it was much better before new management and Covid.

This is really a restaurant with rooms. If you’re expecting hotel service you’ll not get it here. The rooms are very cool 1990’s time capsules. They’re not updated and never should be. The roof patio is only open to guests and looks like a hurricane hit. No cushions on the furniture etc. Really a shame since it could be a nice retreat for hotel guests, but again, this really isn’t a hotel. The worst part has been I left a 600.00 dollar pair of prescription glasses. Of course they found them, but didn’t bother to call me. Finally I figured out where they’re were, called them and they have them. They told me to schedule a pick up. Easier said than done. Fedex and ups are a nightmare to deal with this. Fedex finally showed up, but had no shipping form so they left. If tried calling and emailing. Half the time they don’t answer and when they do you get the host for the restaurant. I asked for the hotel manager to call me, she hasn’t. I begged them to ship my glasses and I’d pay for it. I even emailed them with my fedex account number, but they never responded. The rooms are very expensive, but again if you’re expecting a hotel. This isn’t one. I’ve stayed there three times. Very disappointing.

Came here for our honeymoon because we wanted to spoil ourselves for a night or two. Glad we didn’t stay 2 nights because it absolutely was not worth it. Came to the “private” areas to include the observation area and rooftop. Drink glasses everywhere, no cushion on chairs, no tabletop on tables, and broken glass. Can’t forget to mention, when we went to the pool, it took over an hour to get service (with wrong order, by the way) where there’s many wait staff serving non-registered guests and being told that this was our house and we can “do what we want”, to top it off, the pool was not only dirty but I stepped on a fork, bottle cap, and cleaned up several straws, napkins, and other debris. Understanding that we weren’t the most important people that they had, we retreated to our $1500 / night room only to find electrical outlets not working, electronics not working properly (had to be right next to the tv to change channel w remote). The bed was great but not good enough to get any sleep, woken up at 2am-9am w power washing and delivery trucks. Talked to the manager and she apologized saying that it was a scheduled monthly maintenance and nobody has ever complained about it before. Was offered to get a late checkout as we were already leaving (bags in hand). Resolution was to call back when we returned on another trip and she would make sure, we had a great experience at a discount! And this was after several attempts to contact a her. Not worth the cost for no sleep💔

This place is simply gorgeous but also feels very cozy and at home. Stuff is friendly and welcoming, Gianni for sure put his heart in this mansion when he built it.

My wife is a Versace fan and she was loving every moment of her stay here at the signature suite. The amount of detail that went into to this beautiful mansion is mesmerizing. You can catch yourself staring at the walls and ceiling as it seems there’s a story at every corner. We were accommodated with a crib for our newborn and the bed was large enough for my four year old to sleep alongside without us even noticing. We were offered a wonderful breakfast and got to swim in the infamous pool. The staff were super friendly from the bellman to restaurant host so they made our trip extra special. I would highly recommend this place for families and all Versace fans across the globe.

Such a unique experience. Loved the room. Spacious & clean. Front desk staff & workers all were 5 star. A tad loud for me as the corridor is part of the restaurant/bar & the rooms are right there. Other than being loud, was a perfect experience.

Paid so much money to stay there! Not worth it. The villa itself is beautiful. But, there was a private party happening the night we stayed there, that none bothered to tell us about. We weren’t allowed to use the mosaic pool due to that.Music was blasting under our suite till 2 am, then they started moving all the furniture till 4 am. Couldn’t sleep for one minute. And woke up to a horrible breakfast, that tasted like crap. Never again!

No signage or clear understanding of when the pool could be used. Caused a lot of confusion and headache! Other then that beautiful stay, amazing staff, wonderful ambiance!

Absolutely stunning everywhere you look. One of if not the most elegant hotels on South Beach. Cannot wait to stay again.

its a beautiful place, the room was amazing with beautiful artwork, however some of the staff were alittle rude as if I didn't belong there. I also encountered a theft which they only apologized for.

The amount you pay and the way you get treated are on two different spectrums. The Villa is constantly flooded with people trying to capture photos in a very obnoxious way. I don't suggest having dinner here either unless you want to feel like you're in Times Square. I was also disappointed in how the owner spoke to his staff and guess. He almost refused to let me in after a day at the beach until I showed him my key.

I want a refund for this price. It’s a knock off. This was an absolute disappointment. This is false advertising. The picture shows the wrong room. It shows Gianni’s room. Instead we got Stefanos room. The only reason we came was for Giannnis!! The pool was dirty with paper receipts and trash. I believe this is a management problem so I don’t want to blame the staff for this. There was a hair in my salad, horrible cold and bad tasting breakfast. During our breakfast maintenance was being done so we heard drills the entire meal. Not to mention there was a stabbing that happened on the street corner of the hotel the night we stayed there. The street was filled with police and crime scene tape. They blocked the front door with a chair. The anxiety in the air was apparent. The staff didn’t inform any quests what was going on. I’m so disappointed in this stay I really though the price would reflect. Gianni would be mad at what’s happened...

the area. Right by a sketchy alley with a lot of gang activity going on. However, the restaurant, the mansion itself, our room, was all beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had the complimentary breakfast both days which was good and dinner one of the nights which was all good. Overall, it was a nice stay.

As our stay went on, one thing that stands out... You are staying at the restaurant! The staff is not refined nor attentive. 2 star facility training at best. For such a beautiful place, it’s unfortunate that you have to see the working kitchen and dance between the wait staff getting to your room. With only 9 rooms throughout the mansion. You might think that there would be a turn down service (on the squeaky mattress), or fresh water in the evening. But, this does not exist. This turns out to be a very busy tourist trap. Where you try to enjoy a lunch/dinner amongst the multitude of photo ops going on around you. Glamorous, this is not. I go back to my original thought. You are simply staying at a restaurant!

It felt like we were in Italy and we loved the property itself. However, the pool is a tad bizarre. If you want to get sun, it is only shaded. In addition, it is in the middle of the restaurant so you would be stripping down to your suit while strangers are literally eating right next to you. I mean - RIGHT NEXT TO YOU! The staff did offer us to swim at a sister property which was a stunning resort. I wish we would have known this the first day but it took us to complain in order to get access to their sister property.

This is not a hotel it's a Restaurant that you can stay in. They have removed every aspect of hospitality for hotel guests. The lobby...now a restaurant. The pool...now a restaurant that they let you swim in till 4PM if you are brazen enough to slide past restaurant patrons. Getting a hold of the front desk...unlikely because all hotel responsibilities fall onto one poor soul. All staff are extremely kind and hard working but this hotel is a waste of your money. You are better off just eating lunch there and leaving. Stay somewhere else.

The hotel should absolutely tel guests ocean drive is closed. It took 25 minutes driving around to finally realize we had to go down an alley. So understaffed, if you want room service (we tried this twice) they have to send someone to your took with a menu. That would add another :30 to a probably very long wait. Remote co trips don’t work on either TV.
