They're currently doing some remodeling in the rooms. I/we stay here quite a bit, it's a relaxing atmosphere.

That we could have our dog with us. The bed were so uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The property was clean, quiet, and felt safe throughout my stay. Housekeeping did a good job, and the staff was always friendly and professional. Any time I needed something, someone was available to help. The location is excellent. Stores, restaurants, public transportation, and other services are all close by, which made day-to-day life much easier. What impressed me most was the staff. They work hard, treat people with respect, and genuinely seem to care about keeping the property clean and running smoothly. I would gladly stay here again and would recommend the Milwaukie Inn to anyone looking for a clean, affordable, and well-managed place to stay.
- 5/5
They gave me a suite at the price of a budget room. That mattered. A month is a long time to stay anywhere. You learn the rhythm of a place. You learn what works. You learn what does not. What I remember most is Front Desk. Not the front desk. Front Desk. Questions. Answers. Packages. Directions. Information. Whatever came up. Front Desk had everything I needed. A month is long enough to know whether people care. The Milwaukie Inn cares. Sometimes luxury is not expensive furniture or fancy amenities. Sometimes luxury is a clean room. A fair price. Thank you to the Milwaukie Inn. Especially Front Desk. Five stars.

Everything was great. Very well kept! Anytime we have a class up there, this is where we will stay. Thank you.

Friendly staff, convenient location, easy parking, property was well-lit. No ventilation (or maybe just not working) in the bathroom, the A/C had a weird smell when running, slow wifi, the bed was on a tilt so the foot end was highest, the carpet was slightly damp in a few spots, and other residents would stand directly outside their rooms to smoke cigarettes or weed causing the scents to draft in.
- 1.5/5
Leaving. Beds and mattresses broken down and hard to sleep on electrical outlets didn't work by sink, television was old and only had a few channels, bathroom filthy, mold around shower, carpet stained, walls patched but not painted. Paid for a king, only got 2 queens. When took concerns to manager, they conveniently didn't speak enough English to understand, said it was "housekeeper fault". Will never return, feel refund would be fair.
- 2/5
You get what you pay for. There's A/C, the bedding was clean, and the room looked decently cleaned. The tub/ shower needed to be re-caulked and the floor could've been cleaner. My main issue was they sold they'd freshly painted so the room smelled INTENSE but it was not just like a paint smell it was slightly off. All my clothes and my suitcase smelled like the room. But I guess at least they're doing upkeep. There was a kitchenette that looked fine. But it was hard to imagine cooking or eating in there with the smell. It's definitely a budget stay but it was a place to lay my head on the cheap.

Good value for money in an accessible location. Property was older, but well maintained. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and prompt on check-in and check-out. Location was convenient for accessing south Portland. Curtains didn't completely close to block outside light; had to use a binder clip to keep bright street lights off face in bed. Would have appreciated sheer curtains in addition to black-out curtains to have some privacy but let in natural light during the day. Our room was near the main street, and outside traffic noise was not particularly well damped.

- 4/5
This is an older motel that has been remodeled. The room was nice had all the amenities we wanted. Bed was great. Staff helpful and courteous.
- 2/5
The place had a terrible smell, was not cleaned properly and the lady that owned the place or worked the desk was very rude and pushy.

Their customer service was atrocious.
- 3/5
The girl at the front desk was rude disrespectful a total smart ass. Her customer service was atrocious.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Older property, but felt it was good value for the money. Pretty easy drive into downtown Portland from this location.
- 5/5
One of my fave places to stay . Great prices clean.
- 3/5
Wanted an additional $40 deposit on arrival. I paid for this room for my daughter who's car had broken down (I'm from out of town) then wouldn't take payment over the phone after complaining they finally allowed her to give Id in as deposit. No mention on website or anywhere else
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable and the host was very personable but the motel is right on Hwy 99 and our room was next to the road. The traffic noise was non-stop. The bathroom faucet was difficult to pull up in order to start the water. The room and furnishings are older but it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room, and comfortable beds. Fridge and microwave in room, and all the basics provided.
- 3/5
Not a good fit for IDD
- 4/5
Nothing special. You get what you pay for. A quiet place to rest your head.
- 4/5
The property was old fashioned, but very nostalgic of a 1960’s travel stop. Every effort was made by the staff to accommodate. Very clean and quiet. Economical and convenient for a business stop in Milwaukie.
- 4/5
The price was right, the staff very accommodating. It was close to our conference. I would recommend it.
- 5/5
Spacious and clean
- 4/5
We were warmly greeted and informed they were moving us to a different room - an upgrade. The king sized bed room had a spa tub in the room. Nice but we didn't use it. Great shower though. Slept well, windows opened to let in cool air for the night.
- 5/5
As expected
- 5/5
Place was great for a couple nights and not expensive.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed this location. The staff is extremely friendly, the place was clean, the area was nice. We had absolutely no issues. I read reviews on Google before coming and got very nervous from bad reviews. But when we got to the location, I was SO CONFUSED to why they had bad reviews at all ! Lol This motel has exceeded my expectations. AC worked wonderfully, TV was nice, fridge was cool. Coffee was available. The only thing I was thrown off with was the security deposit. (Theres no real mention of it on their website or expedia as I always make it my deciding factor ) and how much itll be until you get there, which can throw a curveball at you if you spent all you could on booking the room itself. So keep about $50 extra on you for this. We paid with cash so it was all quick and easy. Will definitely comeback again!
- 5/5
My room had a kitchenette, and big comfy King size bed. I love the black out curtains. It was a very comfortable stay.
- 5/5
I like the place and the people who work here . Thank you very much for good service.

I went elsewhere after checking in. Bed was horrible like a springy mushball. Room was clean, staff was nice. Lots of riff raff in area
- 5/5
Love it
- 4/5
Thank you
- 4/5
I love staying here when I need to get away from being a Recovery House Manager. The Staff is very friendly. I always ask for cleaner so I can clean the tub before my bath. You never know what's in there. I was a little disappointed do to there was so much hair in the drain. Besides that, it's a nice and quiet escape.

I stayed here for one night when I booked off Expedia about 2 weeks ago. When I checked in they told me they had to place a hold on my card (not stated in the Expedia listing) but assured me that it will be returned within 3-5 business days. Two weeks later and still haven’t gotten it back. Bank says the hold is on the motel’s discretion and only they can release the hold. Tried calling and nobody answered. Pretty much going to avoid this place from now on.

Very friendly staff. Clean room, large comfy bed, huge clean bathroom.
- 5/5
We have stayed here before while visiting family, and it is close to them and to many restaurants, stores, and gas stations. Very friendly staff and very quiet room for sleeping.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Management was very nice. Thank you.
- 5/5
We came to visit family and the room's where clean and the stuff was friendly i would stay again
- 5/5
Clean room and very friendly staff!
- 5/5
Overall this place is a hair pricey for the location. 99E/McLoughlin Boulevard isn't the greatest area. BUT I will say, the room was clean, and the beds for hotel beds were FANTASTIC! A little noise is to be expected given 99E is a main thoroughfare. All in all though, a great place to rest your head.
- 3/5
Wifi doesn't work that well, amenities aren't that great at all, the walls are pretty thin, and my room was right next to the street, so I got to hear a lot of the traffic. but the bed was a decent size, so I guess it was ok, definitely going to be staying elsewhere if I come back to the area.
- 5/5
My guest said it is very comfortable and clean
- 4/5
Noise was the only downside. On a main road. Road noise woke me up several times.
- 2/5
This could be a decent place if the owners invested in upkeep. The toilet seat is so worn it needs to be replaced. The carpet seemed grimy. The bed had a worn, dirty under-cover underneath the sheet. The room did not smell fresh. There was no iron or ironing board. A bit of remodeling could work wonders.
- 5/5
Rooms always clean! The younger lady that works is a bit rude but otherwise everyone is great!
- 5/5
Comfortable and convenient.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly worked with me when I needed it, and overall pleasant. I really do love this place.
- 5/5
Staff is really nice. Worked out great for the price.
- 3/5
just ok,, not bad nor best
- 5/5
It was nice and clean. Parking is not easy, but when they're spots it's nice.
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. I stayed here before and I noticed they put in new carpet. My room was very comfortable and the bed was great. I was treated with respect and greeted with a smile. They seem to actually care about the guests. I had a really pleasant stay here and I will be back.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good for the price.
- 4/5
I liked that I could park right in front of my door. It makes it so easy to transfer luggage. But I wish that they would correct the time on the microwave clock.
- 1/5
Mouse poop *in* the sheets in the first room. Staff was argumentative & rude, initially offered a new room the next moring, eventually put us in a new room immediately. The next day we found the new room had ants coming out of the sink, staff was again argumentative & rude, offered to have cleaning staff address it. At this point it was almost midnight & I had yet to stay in a clean room, so I no longer felt safe & checked out immediately.
- 5/5
I have stated this hotels for more than 30 years off and on when I'm in town, and one thing I always could count on was the consistency of the owners. Milwaukee and has a portion of the property that is retro build it's like 1930s Hollywood style so cool. Everybody there is very kind there's cameras throughout the property for protection. it's a great place to stay if you're feeling like you need a safe place. In the past year I've stayed in a number of their rooms times and I can tell you the beds are always great I'm very picky about how I sleep and those are always comfortable.
- 4/5
Perfect for what I needed short term ... stayed several days
- 3/5
Room 200, nearest to the boulevard, was noisy with the boulevard traffic going by. The TV was flakey, only picking up 2 channels at times. 5 channels at the most.
- 3/5
Good service and clean but run down. If you really need a low price, then this hotel is an Ok choice.
- 5/5
Clean place, modern enough for a modest budget. HBO and wifi were free. You can walk to 7/11 for late night convenience or to Walmart during the day. Staff was responsive and polite.
- 3/5
I should have used Street view on Google maps to see the property. Located on major street with depressing area reserved to walk dogs. The woman who checked me in was very pleasant and the process was fine, and room was very clean. I needed to keep the fan/AC on all night to minimize the loud street noise, and the only place to walk was along very busy streets that seemed a bit sketchy at night. Next time if I need to stop in this general area I’ll opt for slightly less convenience to be able to at least safely walk to the gorgeous river so nearby!
- 1/5
Needs upgrade very dirty
- 4/5
This is an older property that shows its age. The staff was friendly and responded to my issue with the TV promptly. Check-in staff was friendly and although I was next to a busy street the noise was tolerable. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The bed was out of this world comfortable. They cleaned daily clean room and sheets and towels daily. The staff is super nice and helpful. Any questions I had they tried to answer.great place to stay
- 1/5
Bad service
- 4/5
Satisfactory as an inexpensive place to stop for the night while in the area on business.
- 2/5
Booked because it was cheap but won’t stay again. Sketchy and the mattress was completely sunken in. Vibes are not welcoming
- 5/5
It was a very nice clean and quiet little place . Was disappointed that they had no working ice machine on property.
- 5/5
The lady that checked me in was friendly
- 4/5
It was easy to find and staff was friendly. Everything looked clean and well cared for.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the mattress was firm, and the hot water worked. Nothing fancy but these 3 basics are all I asked for, and I got all 3.
- 5/5
I drove from Montana in bad winter conditions. I made it to the Oregon coast, drove back here, and slept peacefully and comfortably for 10 hours straight.
- 3/5
The property is older and has been pleasantly renovated. Location is convenient to where we were visiting, access can be a challenge on the busy road (99E) that it sets on.
- 3/5
Good location but got woken up from outside noise
- 1/5
The only reason I chose this motel was the proximity to a family members house that we were doing a surprise birthday for and the fact that it said pet friendly online. In fact they are very not pet friendly at all. I was immediately told those very words when I checked in then was informed I should have told them ahead of time although there is nowhere to check a box saying you are bringing a pet to a supposed pet friendly place. Next I was informed we could not leave our pet in the room to go get dinner so we were forced to crate him and drag him with us instead. Now if he were an 80 pound pitbull I might understand but we're talking about a tiny 7 pound little chihuahua that is 13yrs old. If that wasn't bad enough the beds are so old springs destroyed what little sleep we could get since the floors creaked so loudly that our neighbors late night guests every step were noted. This was a horrible stay for us and our tiny dog, do not go here if you can at all help it.
- 4/5
This is an older motel. The furniture is older. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom tube/shower door handle was broken. Overall, we just stayed there at night so there was no interaction with staff. The front office staff was very friendly and willing to help. This is the closest motel located near our family and the reason we selected it. Internet access was spotty and appeared to be limited to evenings.
- 3/5
Definitely outdated. No hot water in the shower. Wear flip flops in the shower. When we turned on the air, there was an odor.
- 4/5
The chairs in the rooms moulded plastic. When neighbors flushed you hearf it Bedspreads cheap and old As i say place was clean
- 1/5
looks nothing like the pictures. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. The staff is rude the couch was crusty and stained. Mold everywhere and for a super bonus maggots in the sink
- 5/5
This is one of the best places. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will suggest this place to all my friends and relatives.
- 5/5
Was excellent service , enjoyed the location so close to everything!
- 3/5
The hotel was conveniently close to the grave site that we were having the funeral at. The room had a funky smell when we got there and the bed when I pulled back the sheets thinking there would be a fitted sheet underneath, exposed the mattress cover which was disgusting and had yellow brownish stains on it as well as a blue ink stain. I wish my camera could have taken a better quality picture of the stains. The hotel is severely dated and could use a remodel. The comforter or blanket on top had holes on the top, and had threads hanging loosely. Overall probably not a place we will be visiting again, but the lady at reception was kind.
- 3/5
It's a very basic motel, but sheets conditions was remarkably bad. Pure disgust with sheets.
- 5/5
This is an older motel and shows its wear, but is convenient and comfortable. I have stayed here many times and will return.
- 4/5
Great service good location. The building is a little dated and the beds could be more comfortable for the price but overall a good experience.
- 5/5
It was a good stay. The room I had was greatly updated from the pictures and was comfortable. The other clientele weren't the most considerate, but the walls were thick and pretty sound deadening. My dog was able to stay with me for a very cheap pet fee.
- 3/5
It was clean but in poor condition. Rugs, sinks, etc were badly in need of replacement . Bathtub walls were broken. A mess, but cheap
- 4/5
the bathroom, while it functioned, was desparately in need of an update/repair. I felt safe and got to and from the hospital easily
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Great place. Affordable.
- 3/5
What I didn't like was when the heater clicked on, it made a loud noise, like a compressor clicked on. But it did give out heat.
- 4/5
Comfortable
- 5/5
Good service. Comfortable
- 1/5
There wasn't anything that stood out in a good/positive manner. The surfaces had unknown substances on every surface/table in the room. The carpet and bedding had burn holes in them. The carpet it self was lifted and signing the pad and the sub floor beneath it. Staff was very minimal in getting customers what they need. I have an emotional support dog that i have a drs letter for as well. These people still charged rent for the dog after explaining this to them. We stayed for one week. Every day we would have to ask for toilet paper and other necessities. This area has a lot of druggies as tenants. The management knows this 1st hand as i expressed my concern with the noise level just outside our door. Still nothing was done. Instead of apologizing for things that was in her control....she rather justified why this or why that. As she is a member or owner of this property i'd expect better customer service for two couples who stayed a week. Ill leave you with this. House keepers cant speak english either. Do not go there unless you have no other options.
- 5/5
Clean, well kept, like new micro, coffee, and mini fridge. Clean tub. Reasonably quiet .
- 5/5
Checkin was extremely quick & streamlined. The grounds around the hotel were very well kept. The room was by far the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in. Ice machine was conveniently located a few doors down. Plenty of Dining choices nearby as well as local delivery. Would definitely recommend this small hotel over any well known hotel chain.
- 3/5
We had to ask for them which took the manager more than half-hour so we walked to the coffee shop near by and when we returned the coffee was replaced.
- 4/5
Mattresses and pillows were amazing
