Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its convenient location and friendly staff, particularly the breakfast chef. However, there are consistent complaints about the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms, with issues ranging from dirty carpets and smelly rooms to insect infestations and structural problems. The breakfast is a highlight for many guests, but some find the options limited.
- Convenient location
- Friendly staff, particularly the breakfast chef
- Cleanliness and maintenance issues in rooms
- Insect infestations reported by some guests

Great for a quick overnight to Charleston. Large rooms
- 1/5
Common areas old and dirty. Room was spacious and decent. The woman that helped serve breakfast was sweet. I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
The property was clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The only drawback is the worn nature of the furnishing. There was also a musty smell that disappeared once you fit used to it.
- 3/5
Property needs some updating.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, comfy bed and excellent breakfast The only thing I can say was the smell of the room was a little musky
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable, front desk staff was very helpful, breakfast was great

- 5/5
Breakfast room was clean, good options . The person who checked us in was not very friendly.
- 4/5
Can’t ask for more than that
- 4/5
Staff at the front desk was very helpful.
- 2.5/5
Location Internet was terrible and smell in room was very musty.
- 5/5
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We have nothing negative to say about our stay. Everything was great. No complaints at all
- 5/5
The staff is available for questions. Location is convenient to Charleston and easy access to every place including a water taxi. Breakfast is great and the lady on duty is very attentive and helpful! My third time here and it never disappoints! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Location is amazing! You can walk from hotel to the pier. It was all great
- 1.5/5
Convenient location. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. The ice machines worked. Coffee available all the time. Beds were comfortable. Our room had a musty odor. Most of the carpet throughout the hotel was dirty and worn. Hot water was only available during breakfast.
- 2.5/5
Good location. The staff for breakfast was complaining about guests being there for breakfast. Staff was also complaining about the guests being using the luggage carts. Beds were also too hard.
- 4/5
It’s good
- 3/5
Property is extremely out dated. Carpets throughout were extremely dirty. Staff never acknowledged us except when checking in. For the money at $200 a night I would have expected better.
- 5/5
We always stay here because there is no better location in Charleston! Easy access to everything. Clean rooms.
- 5/5
clean room and facility, however, the carpet in the main areas could use a refresh/update. Beds are very comfortable.

Location Nothing
- 3/5
This hotel was Okay, nothing terribly bad about it except for unpleasant smell in our room. The location is quite convenient, just a short ride over the bridge to the city. In a walking distance there is a park and a riverwalk, Naval and Warship museum, a few restaurants in the harbor. Our room on the 3rd floor was quiet at night, it didn't have a safe though. The breakfast was included, but keep your expectations low. One night we parked on the very last spot in the free parking, but that was in the end of May and the hotel was pretty busy, lots of families with kids.

Location All was good
- 5/5
There was nothing not to like everything was great Everything was great

- 2.5/5
This property had great complementary breakfast and close to the wedding venue we attended and kids enjoyed the pool! We found baby roaches in the microwave on check out day which made us feel very uneasy thinking these little critters stayed with us our entire stay! We advised the gentleman at checkout and he said he would tell room service
- 4/5
their is poor television selection no streaming available wifi requirements far too extensive requesting personal information highly inappropriate. Traffic areas in hallways carpets neglected nasty long term stains carpets need hot water extraction cleaning in rooms too

It was filthy Carpet filthy Room 114 smelled like mildew When they cleaned the room they put towels in but didn’t make the beds We were wearing white cotton socks and the bottom of the sock were filthy My wife would only wear her shoes when she wasn’t in bed See above Disgusting terrible property Walking up the stairs to breakfast the steps were absolutely filthy, dirty and spotted with all kinds of crud
- 4/5
room and hotel location were good, breakfast was ok
- 4/5
Conveniently located to area attractions, restaurants etc.
- 5/5
Room was large, very clean and nicely appointed. Hotel was conveniently located yet quiet. The staff was helpful and a nice breakfast was offered.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Allowed us to check-in early; wonderful location and great breakfast!
- 4/5
front doors need repair other than that i enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
The lady who makes the breakfast is in her late 70s and still gong strong.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and fresh. Cleaning crew were very nice and helpful! Internet was really slow.
- 1/5
I would not recommend this property. The faucet was loose, bed comforter was dirty with stains and room was dirty. Very disappointed in this hotel. I have always stayed at Comfort Suites but this one needs cleaned and a remodel. I would not recommend it. The only thing it has going for it is the location.
- 5/5
Easy checkin. Great location. Clean room with amenities that you would expect.
- 5/5
Very pleased!!
- 3/5
It was not in downtown Charleston, free parking and about 20 minutes to downtown Charleston, SC.
- 5/5
Wonderful breakfast and kind breakfast crew! Room clean and cool.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Clean, nice, friendly
- 3/5
Definitely not worth the price. Came out for a graduation. Location is great. Bathrooms need a major upgrade. Bedding is fair.
- 5/5
Great location, clean room
- 4/5
Check-in was easy and I was permitted to enter my room a bit early. Customer service desk was nice. Upon entering the room, I was immediately hit with a mildew/must aroma that did not go away during my overnight stay. It was not the most unpleasant but definitely not something I wanted for the price I paid for the room. Other than that, no negative experience(s). Breakfast spread was pretty decent (coffee was lukewarm), and the woman serving/making food was super friendly. Room was decent sized, with a big walkin shower. Would stay again for lower priced room. Convenient, quiet location.
- 4/5
AC was fine and breakfast was fine except one day no yogurt was available.
- 3/5
Staff was pleasant overall.
- 4/5
Efficient staff and clean hotel
- 5/5
More gluten free options for breakfast would be nice.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff especially the Breakfast group and the breakfast was good. We liked the location as it was close to Shem Creek just a short Uber ride away.
- 5/5
It was very nice and quiet.
- 5/5
Jonas at the front desk made our stay on May 1st as good as could be after an overnight flight from LA. His warm welcome and generous assist are the reason we'll stay at Comfort Inn Patriots Point on every trip to Charleston. Thankful for genuine Southern hospitality!
- 3/5
The hotel is very conveniently located for those visiting Mt.Pleasant or Charleston. Lots of great restaurants around; plenty of shopping and loads of things to do. The hotel property is older. Our room was nice and very quiet. However, there was black mold in the shower and our room was on the second floor where the breakfast area was located-lots of food smells and strong coffee odors. Too bad it wasn’t on the main floor away from most rooms.
- 5/5
I think the property is well maintained for the age. It was very clean and well kept. Staff was wonderful and overly helpful in a great way. Breakfast menu was plentiful. More than I expected. The culinary staff was resident friendly as well as eager to assist. Don't change a thing unless its to out do what your already doing. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Great facility & location. Clean, great breakfast, convenient parking & pleasant staff. Would definitely stay here again

Old hotel over priced but clean
- 3/5
Room was clean and breakfast was great. We had reserved a handicap accessible room, but found that they had not read the notes on our reservation until we arrived and they did not have a handicap accessible room available. One girl said they could just knock someone else out of an accessible room since “most don’t need it anyway”. Very sarcastic and rude, and complained that Hotels.com always put notes like that in their comments and they didn’t get caught until check-in when it was too late. I would think that if staff is aware of the comments section on the Hotels.com reservation that it would become standard operating procedure for their employees to check it when assigning rooms, but I guess it’s too difficult for them. I told them as long as it was a short walk and the shower had hand rails it would be fine. Fortunately I had brought my own shower chair, because we ended up with a standard room without any handicap accessibility.
- 4/5
Fresh breakfast. Large, clean rooms. Plenty of parking.
- 1/5
Cancelled half of our stay because our room had several huge roaches. We changed rooms but were so shaken we decided to leave. Do t feel the partial refund was enough. Will not stay here again
- 4/5
Great location for exploring Charleston. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 3/5
Our room was on the first floor and there were no curtains to close for privacy or to block out the light in the morning. The curtains that were there were sheer, so pretty revealing. Also, the shower head was leaking from the back and side, obviously needed replacement.
- 4/5
Overall this was a great place to stay. Beds comfortable, nice breakfast and convenient to getting into Charleston. The only real complaint I had is that the tub/shower had no grab bars or anti- slip features. Being older both my husband and I felt nervous that we might slip while showering.
- 4/5
Good location to Charleston. Quiet comfortable. Breakfast was standard un exciting
- 3/5
The breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable. Its what we expected when we booked it.
- 5/5
Need towel bars and place to put things in bathroom. Shouldn't have to hang towels on the grab bars on the walls.
- 5/5
Clean room, good breakfast, parking good
- 2/5
The room was clean and it’s a good location. However, the staff was hard to get in touch with and not personable. The rooms are older and the breakfast is subpar. Not worth the price.
- 2/5
The moment we walked into the lobby it had a bad smell that was everywhere including our room. It was like something had been spayed to hide an even worse odor. The room appeared to be clean. There was a long crack in the pan of the shower so we had to straddle the sides of the shower when using it. The soap provided was a very small round bar and that seemed cheap. The sheets were razor thin and not soft. The pillows were mush. The location was AWESOME but we will definitely not return. My wife and I were both very disappointed.
- 4/5
commode needs fixed. shakes and rattles when flushed
- 3/5
The bathroom was a mess - rocking toilet, shower that had water still pouring through the bath tub facet; the room smelled bad.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, easy parking, breakfast was the typical free hotel breakfast, neither great nor terrible. Great location half-way between downtown and beaches at Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms.
- 4/5
Room needs tub/shower grab bars, better access to daylight for putting on make-up.
- 2/5
I was contacted later the next day by someone over the hotel. She stated that the smear on the door was a worn place. A worn place does not come off when wiped. It was not a worn place and I did not appreciate being treated like I was stupid. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- 5/5
The property is very clean and so was our room. Lots of parking available. The breakfast was good and had many choices. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the lady who takes care of the breakfast! She is very friendly, attentive and funny!
- 5/5
A little worn down, but over all a very pleasant stay. The lady running breakfast was a hoot. She was a true grandma. If we were ever in the area again we would stay here.
- 5/5
have no complaints at all about this hotel..one of the better ones i have stayed at breakfast was very good.room was clean. staff was friendly.. as a retiree with a cane i appreciated the GRAB BARS in the shower..room 316
- 4/5
Breakfast selections were great but limited due to staffing shortages.
- 5/5
Highly recommend it if visiting charleston
- 4/5
We liked that they have a water dispenser to refill our water bottles. An ATM in the lobby. Best part - hotel is close to several hot spots, restaurants and trails. We enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
It's a good stop for easy access to bridge to downtown Charleston. Check water taxi nearby straight to downtown, avoid $$ parking downtown. Nice restaurants within 5 min drive along river for sunset.
- 5/5
Amazing dinning offers close by
- 2/5
Felt on the older side. Condition of bathroom was not great.
- 4/5
The breakfast was very good each morning. The parking lot appeared to be safe.
- 3/5
The building needs to be refreshed. The wending machines went out of water, and they were not able to provide me with any bottle. .
- 5/5
Hotel is dated but in good area and staff was very nice
- 5/5
Friendly desk staff
- 4/5
Breakfast was good on the first day. But on the last day, the food was very late, so I couldn't eat well. I think other guests felt the same.
- 3/5
Internet was slow. Room seemed clean, but carpet on stairs between 1st and 2nd floors was very dirty. No almond milk at breakfast and staff did not know what I was asking for when I requested almond milk. No gluten-free options. These food items were relevant to me b/c I have multiple food allergies. Otherwise, it was a fine stay at a location about 12 minutes from the Charleston historic district.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Outdated and not worth the money
- 5/5
very good value for money
- 5/5
Staff friendlly especially kitchen staff. Rooms are always nice at Comfort Inns. Have stayed there a few times, never dissapointed
- 5/5
Great hotel, nice staff. Very good location for The Yorktown, Ft. Sumpter and downtown. The only thing that kept me from the highest rating is that there was a slight musty smell in the room. Probably the carpet needs to be replaced.
- 3/5
Breakfast was ok. WiFi troubled bit.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly
- 5/5
I loved the breakfast
- 5/5
Good hotel at a good price
- 3/5
Rooms were decent. when I asked for a blanket they didn’t have any available.. The pool is dirty. The breakfast was average nothing special. they sacrifice more room in the bedroom area and the bathroom suffered to where you had to close the door to get into the shower or use the toilet.
- 5/5
Very pleased with my stay. Quick check in and friendly staff. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Traveling vacation sightseeing.
- 5/5
Staff/front desk very helpful
- 5/5
Staff was friendly check in quick, quiet, and breakfast the next morning was great...Have stayed there several times and consistently good.
- 4/5
Good stay
- 4/5
Musky smell, but room seemed clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was good.
- 4/5
Room was very clean, staff were very courteous, breakfast was good, air-conditioning was great and the location is wonderful. We only have 1 complaint. The bed made our backs hurt. Not very comfortable.

- 5/5
Courteous staff, very clean room. Excellent place to stay.
- 5/5
Awesome staff, desk was great, but the best was the wonderful woman handling and prepping our breakfast. She was a pleasure! clean rooms, and just plain nice.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff but could not close curtains to keep night lights from beaming in all night.
- 5/5
Yes, Precious welcomed is in and assigned us to our rooms. She listened to my request and placed us across from one another. She was helpful in assisting us in finding, food for the evening.
- 5/5
Great location for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was good
- 3/5
Great location. Hotel was mostly clean and updated. Room stank heavily of mold / mildew and no option to open the window which kinda sucks. Otherwise comfortable.
- 4/5
Room was clean, only complaint was the air unit, we kept lowering the temp but the unit was literally coming on within 5 minutes of cutting off and the room stayed hot, there was no sleeping under the covers.
- 5/5
Five star rating for sure! I’m really sold on this comfort in hotel system! Twice as nice as any other place I stayed in on my trip south. Going to see God comfort from now on.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The room was clean, staff is friendly and the grits are to die for! 10/10 I would stay here again.

- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful on what places to visit and what good places to eat
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
Clean, a bit worn around the edges. Adequate for stay. Courteous staff. Perfect location to walk from to Patriot's Point attractions to avoid (relatively new) parking fees. Clear safe flat path takes you by college campus and multiple historical markers plus a cool memorial. Higher end hotels being built in area.
- 4/5
Coffee tasteless
- 3/5
hotel was in a good area, but the hotel itself is worn, burn marks in the carpet, bathroom old and tired.
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. We did move rooms to get a bathroom with more room and also had a modern, walk in shower.
- 5/5
Such a wonderful stay! We had a easy checking in experience. Everyone we spoke to was super helpful and kind.
- 5/5
Really nice room, and the bed was so comfortable. Very nice staff!
- 5/5
Wonderful, safe, scenic location...especially for those who fancy walking the Ravenel Bridge. The bridge path is right outside the hotel entrance. To me, Mount Pleasant is where you want to be. You're five minutes from downtown (where hotel prices have become insanely expensive) and 10 minutes from all Sullivan's Island has to offer.
- 1/5
The first room on 1st floor smelled like FEET. It was so strong, I can’t stand it. Front desk was kind to switch us to too floor just to have the smell of mold, can’t win.
- 4/5
Good location. Courteous staff.
- 5/5
Quiet clean
- 5/5
Very speedy check in
- 5/5

Breakfast. The lady that works this area is exceptional!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great value.
- 5/5
Everything was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and the location was convenient to the historic area as well as numerous restaurants.
- 5/5
It is a bit dated - but having said that everything is spotlessly clean and functional Our room was fantastic with a settee to relax Big shower area The bed was very very good... Comfortable and big The breakfast was a great choice and very fresh. It's between 6-12 dollars in an uber to town depending what time of day A big shout out to Precious and the lady who does the food - they could not do enough for us and were exceptionally attentive. Any problems Precious solved them All the bedding and towels were in top condition and clean We would have no hesitation in staying here again and would highly recommend The price point is also very good Thanks for a great few days guys
- 2/5
Would not stay here again ever
- 4/5
Staff not very friendly. Breakfast was average at best.
- 5/5
Moderately healthy breakfast with variety of foods. Parking lot well lit & area quiet,.
- 3/5
Good location but it needs updates…. Breakfast buffet iwas very good
- 4/5
Room was clean and spacious, the breakfast had great choices and it was very good.
- 5/5
Breakfast was just enough to get me going. The staff was friendly and made great restaurant recommendations. Room was clean and parking was never a problem! I will be back!
- 5/5
Our experience was excellent at this facility. The staff, especially Jonah was most helpful. Our room was perfect for our needs. It was quiet allowing us to enjoy a good night's sleep. I have already recommended it to my friends and family.
- 5/5
Healthy breakfast
- 5/5
All good

Breakfast was terrific. Room was clean. Spacious. Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
The lady who cooked and was in charge of breakfast went the extra mile.. she kept things spotless and gracious.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go.
- 4/5
Second visit in a row with house phone in the room did not work whatsoever.
- 5/5
Clean nice big rooms. Great breakfast
- 5/5
The staff was everything!! They made our trip amazing!
- 5/5
Nice spot, friendly staff
- 3/5
Room was fine, comfortable. Smelled a little musty, place is old and needs repair, but it was fine for 2 nights.
- 3/5
There was mold in the shower. The room had a couple of gouges in the wall and the bathroom door. The bi-fold closet doors were jambed. The morning breakfast ran out of coffee. The staff needs to up their game!
- 3/5
Room had a smell. We changed rooms. There was a similar smell not as bad. The staff was very accommodating.
- 2/5
Please do not stay here. Other than the location this hotel was not great and the pictures online do not reflect the actual state of this hotel
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, staff was fine. It was fun walking the bridge!
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and excellent breakfast.
- 5/5
Check-in was quick. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold foods with a spacious eating area. Room was spacious. Shower and mattress were very nice. Pool towels is a nice amenity for a hotel at this price. I would have hoped for a slightly warmer pool temperature. Always confused why some hotels have trees around a pool that drop small nuts that are very painful when stepped on. Wish they had recycling. The overall stay was great.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great, room was clean, beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
The location was excellent and the staff were helpful. The facility was kept clean. The carpet throughout the hotel needs to be updated as it has visible stains.
- 5/5
Breakfast was awesome. The lady kept saying she needed some help.
- 5/5
Breakfast was wonderful and plenty. Lots of items to choose from. Curt and Diamond from the front desk.were friendly and accommodating. Curt went out of his way to see we had a great stay. Location is great, close to center city, Fort Sumnter ferry and great restaurants at Shems creek.
- 5/5
Stayed over a weekend for softball tournament at The Shipyard. This location was an easy 20 minute drive and close to good restaurants, shopping and the beach. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The washer and dryer on site were nice for washing uniforms after a post game trip to the beach. Breakfast was good with lots of options. I would stay here again!
- 2/5
The room smelled like mold and damp towels, they definitely have some kind of issue. We were on the second floor, so it’s not like we were ground level or anything.
- 4/5
My friend and I enjoyed everything about our stay and would have given 5 stars but the downside was very musty smelling rooms.
- 1/5
I booked the wrong dates
- 3/5
Breakfast was great! Wide selection. Overall, the hotel is in need of rehab. Rooms smelled moldy and stale.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Excellent cleanliness of room . Friendly staffing. Excellent breakfast.
- 5/5

Value for rates. Nothing great, nothing bad.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Clean hotel. Great area.
- 5/5
We booked a last minute family trip. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a pull out couch and everyone had more than enough room to sleep comfortable. The staff (Precious greeted us) was super nice and my kids were especially excited about the breakfast. The location was perfect for our days spent in historic Charleston or days spent at the beach. We never felt like we had to drive far. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Clean room- great pillows- wonderful breakfast
- 3/5
The staff was very kind and helpful. I would only stay at this hotel for one night which was all we needed. If I was staying longer, I would have moved hotels.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Friendly and answered all the question about the town
- 3/5
The beds were comfy. I liked the lemon water and fruits in the lobby
- 4/5

Convenient hotel for what we wanted to do while in Charleston! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Everyone was polite , room was clean, plenty of amenities and the breakfast bar was AWESOME ! I'll be returning there anytime I'm in the area !
- 4/5

- 2/5
Breakfast buffet was great! Lots of options, well stocked
- 4/5
The breakfast was excellent!
- 5/5
Nothing else
- 4/5
We really liked how quiet the area is. Very easy to get to and a lot of food options close by. Didn’t like the musty smells of the rooms. First room was bad but they switched us to a top floor room more quiet. Still a bit musty smelling but not as bad as the first room. Loved the breakfast everyday. Very clean room.
- 1/5
My staff member wound up leaving and getting a different hotel because of how bad the mold smell was in the room.
- 5/5
We really liked the older lady that prepared breakfast.A true Gem of a person.
- 5/5
Very clean, breakfast was excellent, staff was friendly, comfortable. Maid service was great. Would surely go back.
- 5/5
Nice area. Breakfast was very good - biscuits and gravy are a classic.
- 4/5
The hotel was what I expected for the money. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Wonderful 👍
- 5/5
Only thing I would change is making it a true suite the bedroom separate from the the kitchen and a full size fridge and microwave I truly loved the shower it was awesome just needed more storage
- 5/5
The cook for breakfast was a hoot. I asked about biscuits because there weren't any with the gravy and she said, some little kid came in and put 9 biscuits and 9 sausages on his plate. 9--that kid "cain't" eat 9 sausages and 9 biscuits!! Then I came back to get seconds and the place was full. She came out of the kitchen and said "where did all these people come from--the Radisson". I was bent over laughing. Made my day. Gave her a $20 tip. Food was excellent and she was great. C.J. McCarthy

It was a good place to sleep. No extra stuff to worry about. Breakfast was good and the service seemed good. No bugs found at all during my stay. This is an awesome hotel for anyone seeking a place to stay for a couple days to even a week in the mount pleasant area.

Then breakfast staff and room attendants were professional and attentive. The room, itself, was poorly constructed. My floor was uneven. There was a downward slant so deep that you almost had to take a step down as you neared the window. The drawers on that side of the room would continuously slide open because of the imbalance in the floor’s foundation. If you want a nice room and no bugs in it, I really would just find another place to stay.

kinda smelled nasty and saw a roach but other than that it was nice, the pool was kinda dirty too but it was fun and the breakfast was really good.

The room smelled damp when we got there. The carpet felt damp to walk on. I'm glad I had thought to bring slippers because I was not walking on those floors barefooted. The AC unit fins were broken and it was hard to regulate the temperature in the room. The bathroom floors were sticky and had a tiny little sink with no vanity. No shampoo or conditioner in the shower, just two things of bar soap. Water pressure was horrible. Two regular towels, two hand towels, and two wash rags. Most hotels give you more than that. Views were not great. I thought we had reserved a better view, but we were looking at the back of another building. The room was very outdated, no updates to include USB ports in the lamps to charge your devices. The TV was glitchy so it was probably a dish. We left after the first night. I still paid for the 3 nights because we thought we'd come back a day later, but ended up staying somewhere else. It was way overpriced for what you get in they way of amenities, which was very little. Free parking and a breakfast buffet are not worth saving a few extra bucks. Look elsewhere.

BEWARE! The interior of this entire property stinks of trapped moisture. Desk manager (Pam) tried to argue with me and other guests by saying the stench is just due to the heat. Every room stunk like mildew or dirty gym socks or both. We tried three rooms before finding one that was even tolerable. Would have cancelled but our reservation type wouldn’t allow that. The hotel is old and everything is outdated. The hall carpeting is stained everywhere. Do not stay here. If you’re here for a camp, you’ll need to drive anyway since you can’t just walk across the street as we assumed you could. Do yourself a favor and stay at a newer and nicer hotel or rental property a few miles away. Pool is small and usually overrun with screaming and obnoxious children whose parents couldn’t care less. Avoid this property. You have been warned.

Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was plenty & delicious. Location of the hotel was within minutes of a fishing pier & plenty of places to eat nearby. Will definitely be staying there again if we will be in the area.

Spent a few days visiting my grandson stationed up the road at Goose Creek. We had a great stay. Very close to all the major attractions and easy to get to downtown. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. All in all, highly recommend!

Poor choice I will never do again.

Restoration permitted painting over heavily rusted door frames. Doors heavily damaged, denting. The entire facility's hot water system was down. Part supposedly ordered and to be installed tomorrow. Lots of wall damage throughout the facility.

This hotel provides us a place to stay for a night and allows us to get to MUSC medical infusion lab easily.

Equal to the Hampton inn next door, for a fraction of the price!

Nice property, perfect location for my needs, but law enforcement had to be called due to an unclothed guest roaming the out hallway.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The only complaint was the musky smell of the room. It smelled moldy.

The staff was very nice. The condition of the property was very poor.

This is located in a perfect location for vacationing around Charleston. The room was clean with updated bathroom. They have a full breakfast that was outstanding. Beds were comfortable without any sagging. Rooms were serviced everyday. This is a 3 story facility that is quiet with attentive staff. I would stay here again.

Morning staff were super friendly and professional. Rooms clean, safe neighborhood, quiet and convenient to Patriots Point. The check-in was bad. Desk clerk was rude, short and didn’t give us a parking pass which I discovered the next day when I got a note on my windshield.

Just a quick out of town get away for 1 night. Booked through Hotels.com- $200 for the night, a bit pricey for such a compact bethroom and the room, itself. only 1 small picture above the little desk in the room. Nice landscaping and quiet location. No issues other than bathroom shower needs recaulked at the bottoms. Showing rust.

Great location. Good price for the area.

A very good breakfast was provided in a space that was out of sight of the front desk. Our room was very spacious, Hotel is located across the river from Charleston with easy access to the city and nearby beaches.

Super clean place, staff very friendly, and a great location

Also, while some employees were personable, several didn't have any of the friendliness and charm that the South is known for. This seemed to be true for the whole area, though.

Great location. Beds comfortable. Kids loved the pool. The room was extremely humid. None of our swimsuits dried because it was so humid.
