Our room did have a stained foot mat and we found a live bug but we don't think it was a bed bug. But besides that, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very satisfying. The staff was prompt, caring and helpful.

First off I wanna to give a big shout-out to Pam & Gabby for making my stay at the Mundelein Illinois location truly an awesome experience. Unfortunately my visit was due to my dads sudden death. When I arrived to Mundelein (from Portland OR) I immediately needed somwhere to stay. So I stopped in to this Comfort Inn location to see if there were any rooms available. Pam and Gabby immediately greeted me with a smile, and helped me get a room. They quickly understood my emotional state, and both treated me with compassion. I ended up getting a very nice/quiet room for my 7 day stay. When I returned to the hotel after my first day of helping my mom, I was pleasantly shocked to find a card and cookies waiting for me. The condolence card was hand written, thoughtful, and truly made me smile. Thank you Pam and Gabby for making me smile in such a dark time. 🙏 I will be soon.

Smoke alarm in room was covered by a plastic bag. I did tell the front desk and she said sometimes people will do that so they can smoke. That bothered me . Nothing was done about it.

Well, the rooms are always nice and clean and a majority of the staff is really nice but there’s one particular lady that rubbed me the wrong way she started off as nice and then she would give you a look and you could tell under the mask like just that energy but other than that everything else about the hotel is very well kept up

I paid for an hour xtra day via my Visa card at one price per the front day, the next day I was charged the same amount and then an additional $20 because “they shouldn’t have given you that price” As a service member for the USN I’m not too pleased with how the charges were handled as they used my military discount and then decided to change the pricing per a different front desk worker

We checked in at 10p. The smell awful and was overwhelming. We decided to turn on our air conditioner on high and go out for a bit to see if that helped. The smell was stronger upon our return. Our daughter thought it was mildew/mold but I was not sure. We went to the desk to request a move to another room but there were no rooms available. The desk person gave us Zep to spray in our air conditioner. It was at this time that we identified the problem. Mold and mildew in the air conditioner vents. We showed pictures of the mold to Expedia and they provided a refund and moved us to another hotel at midnight. This was the first time I’ve ever left a hotel after checking in. It was bad.

The staff were great and helpful. The downside to this stay was the ants in the room, no hot water during one of the nights, and being bitten several times overnight by something unknown (not bed bugs). Overall for a quick, affordable stay I would recommend if a few things were addressed.

Great location. Hotel was clean, staff friendly. We were particularly happy the beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of comfortable pillows as well. Room was clean. The only issue I had is the air conditioning wouldn’t go lower than 68. Not a big deal to most people but I’m in full blown menopause so I was sweating all night.

The finishes in the bathroom were beautiful. I loved the tile on the floor. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. The finishing work in the room and bathroom could be improved. There was dirt build up or possibly grout in the corners of the shower. There used to be another mirror hanging in the bathroom. I know this because instead of removing the anchors for it and patching the holes, they painted over the anchors and screws. Why would you go to the expense of having a basket weave tile on the floor but do such shotty repairs.

I was told by the front desk that they only clean after you leave. They gave me clean towels per my request - never been at a hotel that doesn’t clean rooms daily !

Breakfast was impressive, the room was great and the front desk lady Pam was just the sweetest cherry on top! The pool was the only thing we were disappointed by. However, I do want to say that the majority of the property looked like it had recently been renovated, so maybe the pool is next. But the important things were great! spotlessly clean and comfortable room, nice beds, microwave, fridge, extras and nice touches.

Needed a place to sleep for the night while traveling, at the time of reservation had great value somewhat near Chicago area. Accommodated late check-in. Hearty breakfast with the usual and including bacon strips, potatoes, scrambled eggs. Has swimming pool but didn't use it. Plenty of free parking space, quiet at night. To nitpick, still a 30 minute drive to northern Chicago suburbs. Maybe a faint smell in the room when you initially enter but nothing too bad.

We had a good stay, they didn’t have any rooms with 2 queen size beds, they only had doubles and we slept a little tight.

The hotel has been renovated but more like slapping paint on a wall. Our first room smelled musty and had mold growing on the vents of the a/c unit. The vent covers that pull out had not been cleaned in a very long time, if ever. They gave us a new room and it was much better, at least it was cleaner on the surface. This would not be my first choice for a hotel if I had to stay in Mundelein again.

I like that housekeeping reset my room twice. Breakfast was decent. There are moldy areas throughout. Walls, baseboards, and doors need a little cleaning.

All the counters had ring marks from previous cups. Not a single towel, hand towel or wash cloths. Called front desk, said there are no towels at all in the room. They brought up 3 not 4 regular towels and nothing else. Had to go back down to get them myself. The elevator was the slowest and scariest on the planet. Sounded like it was about to break. Only used it for transport of the cooler. Stairs the rest of my stay. Overall not impressed for the $350 for 2 nights.

The woman checking us in was friendly and kind. The property was convenient for our family gathering. The room was clean and pretty well updated. The fitness center could use some attention meaning there was no water available and no weights. But all in all a good experience.

The hotel is supposed to have daily room cleaning and they only clean every 3 days. We ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. It was hot and smelled like pee on the stairs.

The only issues we had with the hotel was the loud air conditioner, loud bathroom light and the window was right outside the public pool meaning that the curtains remained closed our whole stay.

Honestly Don’t this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at . I’m not sure why it had ok reviews . It was disgusting I checked out at 7 am and was only there for a night thankfully I couldn’t wait to leave it was noticeably dirty . It smelled like food in the room and like someone smoked in the bathroom . The guy at the front desk was very unprofessional he never mentioned a WiFi or breakfast not that I’d never eat anything there I have pictures as proof I’m not seeing where ti attach them but I ll try to do a google review as well I don’t want anyone going through what I went through DO NOT GO THERE. The town is nice but that hotel is out of a different place .

When my wife made the reservation she had mentioned we needed a handicap ♿️ room and preferably on the gound floor. We didn't get either one of them. Do to a disability my wife was not able to bathe in a tub. She has to have a walk/roll in shower. When questioned the clerk about it he said there were no other rooms. Why reserve and not receive what is requested. We have stayed at this location several times but this is probably the last. We will serch out of someone that will accommodate our needs.

DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!! The first rooms we were given after paying a $25.00 early check in fee was covered in ants and we had to switch rooms. The 2nd room we were given the toilet was never cleaned, there was a huge stain on the carpet that was either blood or nail polish, the bedroom curtains were covered in either paint or something else, the walls had stains on them as well, and don't say you have a pool when it is closed due to the season (the listing stated an indoor pool). Definitely a safety issue outside because of random people just hanging around in the parking lot at different times of the night.

I inadvertently booked a handicap room or I didn’t and just got one. To me it was dangerous. The shower was solid tile and very slippery, no where to put your clothes or hang a bathrobe. But all in all the room was good and clean. Breakfast in the mornings was good.

If I ever have to come back this way, I'll definitely book my stay here.

It was a very convenient location. The room was too hot even though we turned the AC on during our end of December stay. The maid service did not refresh the room. On check out day they maid service came knockong on the door asking if we were ready to check out. We hadn't finished packing or finished dressing ourselves for the day.

The rooms appear clean on the surface but closer examination showed fronts of cabinets filthy, corners and edges of things dirty. Furthermore, as we were preparing to leave, my husband left to take down some luggage while I finished getting ready. Unbeknownst to me, He was asked in the hall if we were checking out to which he said “yes but we arent ready yet “. Apparently, he left the door ajar and next thing I know the male manager (?) walked in on me. Fortunately, I had just finished dressing but it was startling. Our eyes met and he backed out. I didnt hear an apology or anything. Mind you, this was at 8:30 am. and no where near the check out time. Breakfast was lackluster with dried out eggs and off brand cereal.

It was terrible, first i book a room with 2 Doble beds and a Sofa and when we get there, they gave a 2 bed room only, because they don't have any room with 2 bed and a sofa bed.Also the pool was duty and outdoors when they offer indoor pool.All the time the halls smell like mariguana. I PAY MORE MONEY FOR THAT SOFA BED AND WAS A LIE THEY DON'T HAVE SOFA BED IN ANY OF THE ROO.

The phone in the room did not work. So could not call the desk for anything. Every time we tried to speak to staff in hall working in other rooms , NONE of them spoke English. We drove all they way from Atlanta for our daughters emergency colon cancer surgery and the hospital was almost a 2 hr drive every day. After 3 days we had to get closer to the hospital and on check out we were told “ No Refund”. Mind you we did not ask for one we just wanted to check out. But their concern was about money , not our stay. We chose that location because it was 4 miles from our daughter’s home. When we come back we will stay at the Double Tree across the street.

Stayed with my 14 year old daughter. It appears that people stay there long-term, woke up to a woman yelling and police in the hallway on the way to breakfast. Pool was dirty enough for my lake-swimming daughter to refuse to get in. We love going places and would actually go back to that hotel again, its economically sound.

Everyone was super nice. Check-in was super fast and easy same as checking -out. Definitely would stay here again. Overall was clean, and quiet. We enjoyed staying there.

We’re locals who needed a place to stay while our house had a major roof Reno. My husband has mobility issues, so we needed an accommodation room. The bathroom had plenty of handrails and a shower with a plush seat and the shower floor had no threshold, which was great. We also have 2 cats & discovered that many “pet friendly” hotels were actually only dog friendly…but this hotel allowed cats, thank goodness. The first night, I had trouble with my door locking and the person at the front desk helped get the digital door lock to work and made sure facilities came by in the morning to troubleshoot it. He even offered to change our room to help us feel more safe. We then needed to extend our stay by one more day, and the women who made that happen were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good and the pool was clean. They have 5G wifi, so my husband had no problem working remotely from our room. Overall, a really nice hotel that I’d recommend!

I stayed 3 nights. On the last night, I woke up at 3 am because my ankles itched! They itched like crazy! I had at least 15 marks on both ankles and legs. I have pics to prove it. I removed the sheets and found nothing but I don’t have experience with bed bugs. When I told the manager or whomever was working, the next day, she never apologized for my discomfort and said “what do you want me to do about it.” I hope they disinfect the entire hotel but I doubt they’ve done anything! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

The room was NOT as clean as I think it should have been. I used to clean rooms, I would not have passed a random inspection by my boss with the room we got. But it was comfortable otherwise. Staff who checked me in was great! Did not try the breakfast.

Room was clean. Lacking proper outlets to charge our phones. We had to unplug appliances to accommodate. The shears were badly ripped. Bathroom door opened into a tiny space to shower and get to toilet.

Overall it was an updated hotel, with fresh cosmetics throughout and a good breakfast for the boys.
