My husband and I went for the weekend , June 12-15. We left a day early. The room appeared to be clean, linens, bathroom, etc., however the carpet could use replacing and there is mold forming on the ceiling in the bathroom. I thought I was having my usual sinus crap, but certainly became worse there. I was fine once home. The beds were comfortable for me, not so for my husband. The room was on the 16th floor so it was a great view of the beach and the sunset. We ate at the bar for dinner, took 45 minutes to receive food and it was disappointing. My grouper on my salad was $8 extra and couldn’t have been more than 2 ounces. My husband’s salad of mango pineapple and shrimp came with 3 shrimp. The calamari was overcooked and inedible. Drinks were good, bartenders were great!

You have to check in a different building. Drive a mile to your room. If you need towels you have to go all the way to the check in building. They're own by the same plantation but youre not able to go to the main check in building pool which has all kids attractions. Other then that it was ok I guess. However staff could of been more polite and be more prepare for your guests. You have to walk or drive wet if you been in the beach for anything you need. Its just weird. Also you have to 11 to check out and the cleaning ladies are knock your doors at 9 or 10 trying to get you out. If I paid for something and it says a certain time im leaving when that times up.

I didn’t like how I had to call front office 3 times because the people upstairs would keep us up at night being loud. We had several nats in our room.

No chairs on patio as seen in online pictures! Construction zone-woke us up early in the morning on Friday-we were not aware construction was going on-maybe would have choose to stay somewhere else! The bed needs a new mattress/we stayed in 1507G.

My experience was not the best. The first room I received was not cleaned properly… floors were dirty, glass shower door seal was coming off towels were dirty and the tv was not working. I called with 30 mins of being in room. FYI I clean the room myself upon arrival but that was unacceptable. So I went back to registration office to tell them about my experience they gave me another room 2 floors up not in too much better shape. Appeared to be an older room not remodeled like the first room. This room too floors were not clean and the shower and toilet was dirty. Thank goodness for me bring my own cleaning supplies. Any complaints I had the staff tried to accommodate and nice but the issue is this should not have happened in the first place. As I was leaving to checkout I seen a housekeeping lady supposedly mopping the floors but I have seen no halfway mess like that, she had a spray bottle in hand spraying the floor and going over it with a swifter mop. Oh no ma’am. Oh yeah housekeeping didn’t come at all during my stay had to call for fresh towels and the trash was not taken out. Overall excellent 4/10
- 4/5
There were no dish towels, kitchen sponge or dish cloth, liquid dish soap, paper towels. We had to call for more toilet paper and towels. The condo was very nice and comfortable. The ocean view was excellent! The staff was very accommodating. We will come back.
- 4/5
Access to the beach was excellent

- 3/5
The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were small and needed more. The closet in the master would not easily close and half of the door was missing.
- 3/5
Our room was clean but the electric sockets in the floor were just black taped down to the floor which made 1 of the living room lamps not work. This was our 1st time here and more than likely our last.
- 5/5
I’ve never been happier with my stay considering we were coming from a bad experience with another hotel they welcomed us right in helped with anything we needed , the most respectful and nicest people I’ve ever met . Very clean hotel and room the food was great , loved the water park , very peaceful atmosphere the location was amazing ! All around beautiful place to stay ! And another thing you don’t always get to interact with house keeping but I will say the lady that cleaned our room I can’t remember her name but the sweetest women I’ve ever met ! I will be returning to this place every time I visit ! I 100% recommend this place !

The property is fantastic. Was very well maintained and cleaned even during a busy time of the year. Great gated community with pool and beach access. Staff is very accommodating. Felt very safe and comfortable during the stay. Would absolutely recommend to people and I will be coming back again!
- 5/5
The location was good. The view was amazing. The room had plenty of space. My family enjoyed themselves. There was nothing that I didn’t like. Every thing was great. The atmosphere and environment was very pleasant and cleaned.
- 4/5
Close to restaurants and shopping The WiFi in our condo did not work, my kids and grandkids couldn’t watch tv
- 5/5
I had a great time.
- 4/5
The property was great! Oh so beautiful with the pond to the back of our condo and the 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach! Will definitely go again. So close (within 15 minutes) to anything you want to do. Only thing which was confusing was the departure invoices. Also didn’t realize we needed to pay daily parking with taxes.
- 5/5
The condo was amazing and the view of the beach was great. Little outdated deck chairs but it was really nice
- 5/5
We stayed in the villas and it was great. The property is beautiful and there is so much to do.
- 1/5
The condition of the hotel room was unacceptable. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and lacked several necessities needed for a comfortable stay. The owners did not properly accommodate guests, which made our experience very disappointing.
- 4/5
Had to move to different rooms due to un cleaning loys of walking back an forth getting settle in a room finally.
- 3/5
There is a $44.80 per day resort fee and $22.40 per day parking fee.
- 5/5
Really clean unit, furniture was nice including outdoor.
- 3/5
The property felt very safe. Security checked for proper tag every time you entered the property. Parking was an additional 20 dollars a day. Our condo was “ocean view” and had a pretty decent view of the ocean. Cleanliness of the condo could have been much better upon check in. Long hairs on the floors in the bath room and shower was a big turn off. Also lots of dust and crumbs in corners and near couches. We had a 3 year old with us who spent a lot of time playing on the floor which is why I noticed these things. The decor ( couches, bed spreads, curtains) could use some updating for the price that you pay for a week. The last couple days our AC stopped working. Thankfully it wasn’t too hot and we could open the balcony doors. The property its self and pool area was very nice and clean. Well staffed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Over all we really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, on the beach, and cheap and easy parking. I will definitely be returning.
- 3/5
The room we got is not what was advertised. They do not maintain the property. Hidden fees.. the main pool and the main building seems nice…the South Hampton building was not as nice.
- 4/5
The condo was great! Loved all of the room.
- 5/5
Nice quiet place to stay. Easy walk to the beach, across from the workout center and close to the pickleball courts, simple layout, newer washer/ dryer that works works great. Very convenient. Older place but fine accommodations. Would stay there again.
- 3/5
Staff and housekeeping needs improvement
- 4/5
Great staff. Condo wasn’t that clean. Outdated, but sweet people, great service. Lots of hidden fees (parking, etc). Overall a great place, nice pool and beach. Great staff.
- 4/5
Room was outdated and housekeeping could have paid better attention to details during their cleaning. Some bedding items had stains and overall cleaning could have been better
- 5/5
The room was clean staff was amazing the ocean view was amazing and peaceful
- 5/5
Clean rooms great staff beautiful view of the beach

You are looking at another building. The beach is to the right
- 4/5
It was a good overall experience. The rooms were great with a good location. The only issue that we had was the $20 parking was unexpected.
- 3/5
The room was clean
- 1/5
The first room was filthy and the TV did not work. We were moved to another room and the bed was super uncomfortable. My husband's body ached so badly that he couldn't drive back home and I had to take him for a massage. This was an awful stay!
- 5/5
The most relaxing stay and beautiful view
- 3/5
There were no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. We also couldn't connect to wifi and had to explain that to the front desk multiple times before they sent someone out to fix the problem.
- 5/5
Was a great place yo stay
- 4/5
The room was very comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was the water was not hot, barely warm, but not hot. Other than that, the views were incredible and would definitely love to come back to visit and stay.
- 5/5
The 4BR Margate Villa is great value in an oceanfront self cater unit.
- 3/5
Bedding was odd, tv very old
- 2/5
Trash was full in kitchen and a bag of trash was left by the front door, pet fur was on blanket and a blind was tore up and chips was under living room sofa.
- 5/5
What really stood out during my stay was the maintenance. Everything in the room was in excellent working condition, and it was clear that the property is well cared for. Any small issues were addressed quickly and efficiently, which made my stay smooth and stress-free.
- 3/5
It was a good room. But I feel like an upgrade on the tv is needed

Clean Room
- 5/5
The rooms werevery nice- clean and fresh.

No there was socks under the bed. Also the room wasnt cleaned in the first bed room

Been going to Kingston Plantation for 19 years - have always enjoyed being there and love the area! - must admit that paying for "parking" at $20 per day is a bit ridiculous - really... where else are you going to park?
- 1/5
Misleading price. Claimed it would be a great price. Ended up being almost doubled
- 5/5
Best resort!!!
- 5/5
The room were wonderful
- 1/5
The villa was barely cleaned when we arrived. It took 24 hours for housekeeping to address my concerns and they still didn’t do it. Hair, crumbs, cheese wrapper, and candy wrappers were found on the floor and toddler clothes were left in the closet. The kitchen barely had any pots that could be used and the counter still had food drippings. I am HIGHLY disappointed.
- 3/5
Great location and plenty of parking.
- 1/5
I did not stay here. I called to cancel due to car troubles I couldn’t make the drive down. The hotel was only supposed to charge me for one day due to the fact that I cancelled day of. However, they charged me for the entire stay. I called multiple times reminding them to send me a cancellation email. They never sent it. Now I have no physical proof, but my husband and I called multiple times and they kept promising to send it over. Be careful!!
- 5/5
Room were very clean
- 3/5
Room was clean and was fine for a 2 night stay. overlooked the pool area and has a beach view. Large bathroom with tub and walk in shower. 5 minutes from the room to the beach. Restaurant next door if you don't want to drive anywhere. A larger TV would be a nice upgrade. ,
- 5/5
Clean room and all the amenities!!!!
- 5/5
Amenities and distance to local restaurants/shopping.
- 4/5
The only downside is that the condos themselves could really use some updating. The interior feels dated—almost like it’s stuck in the 70s or 80s—and the bathrooms in particular need modernization. The showerheads and fixtures should be replaced, and a general refresh would go a long way in matching the otherwise beautiful and well-maintained property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return, but updating the condos would significantly elevate the experience.
- 3/5
My room didn't have any heating, and very little hot water 😫.
- 3/5
Our villa was not close to the beach.. The house needs to be updated and wasn’t cleaned properly.. Had to kill a roach the first night there and spider webs in some of the corners.. Also had to kill a spider in the master bedroom coming out the drawer. Some of the older door knobs kept getting locked from the inside.. After calling maintenance the second time for it.. We then notice no stoppers were behind some of the doors which was making it lock..Very inconvenient especially the second time we called and had to wait over a hour for someone to come so my daughter could get in her room.. Rightvafter age arrived and put her luggage in the room. The lady at the indoor pool area was very rude! The chlorine was too strong and burning everyone’s eyes, where we couldn’t enjoy.. The older kids said it wasn’t that strong when they went the first time and felt like she did it on purpose.. Overall our family enjoyed each other because it was our first Christmas at the beach doing one of our family traditions.. So we had several families booked in different villas/rooms.
- 5/5
It was great and very nice I didn’t want to leave fr.
- 2/5
Booked a king bed but was put into a room that was a full. Exchanged room and got the king bed but the room was definitely in need of maintenance. Old outdated. I will not book there again.
- 3/5
Staff was great. (friendly )
- 4/5
The Embassy that it was attached to was nice but the south hampton bldg was lacking.
- 5/5
We stayed in one of the villas and must say was spacious and loved the ease of in and out of the place. Parking was right in front of the door. Have stayed on this property multiple times. Always pleased.
- 3/5
Ginny (I think that was her name) at the front desk was very nice and concerned about our feedback and issues with room when we checked out.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time. Great location!
- 2/5
Hotel staff did poorly with directions on check out
- 1/5
The ocean view was truly the only positive thing about the room. Very old property. Beds had tears showing in box springs, tables had been written on with marker, coffee maker dirty, not what I would have expected for Kingston Plantation. Very disappointed.
- 3/5
With a little room update and full disclosure on pricing probably go 4 to 4.5 but 3 is pretty accurate.
- 3/5
My back is killing me since I have stayed there. Beds are hard ,I could never get the tv to hook up to the cable in the room. I go in bedroom after I wash to lay down and the bed was not clean. When I turned the comforter back you could tell someone had been in the bed and they didn't clean the room. And they just pulled the covers over the bed. It was a shame to spend this kind of money on my momma's Birthday and not be satisfied. Some of the people there are not friendly. You call them and they act like you getting on there nerves. Me personally I don't recommend but it's your decision to try it out. At 10:00 pm I was calling housekeeping to bring me clean sheets . There was a lot of hidden fees also. And extra 40 to check in early and then $20.00 a day to park your car each day at there resort. Just Be aware
- 2/5
I was very disappointed in the villa that we received. When I was looking at the two bedroom villas online, the pictures they were showing for the properties were nice modern looking rooms and furnishings. I was expecting a two bedroom villa with two queen beds in one room and a king in the second with two modern bathrooms. What we received was a two bedroom villa that had two single beds in one room and a king in the other. It looked like we stepped into 1980. It was very dated and the lighting was terrible. The ceramic tiles around the bathtub were decades old and the grout was beyond cleaning. needless to say upon check in to the room, we were very disappointed. I was told they do not rent the units by bedding types, but by occupancy and they were sorry for the miscommunication. When I contacted them regarding our issue, I was told that the villas are individually owned and decorated differently. I can understand that, but they need to put pictures of old rooms in that listing so you don’t get a big surprise when you’re not expecting it! Very misleading! They did offer us a credit for one day of resort and parking fees for our inconvenience, which I appreciated, but it did not take away the disappointment of expecting a nicer newer place to spend our vacation. A dark cloud on our whole stay there!

Ok
- 1/5
Room was gross. Switched to a different room (both in Windermere) and that was awful also.
- 5/5
Loved everything about the resort
- 1/5
The bed was extremely hard and was not much better than sleeping on a piece of plywood. We were also hit with an undisclosed “incidental” resort fee of $40 plus a resort fee tax on top of that after paying for the room that was advertised to include all fees and taxes. We aren’t going back and I wish I had been able to read a review like this before spending money here.
- 1/5
Thought we were getting ocean front, come to find out we were in a Villas off from the beach and everything else
- 5/5
Amazing views
- 4/5
I stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view condo and the balcony and views were amazing. place was clean and quiet. Its a bit dated but not an issue at all. Room are big , living area and kitchen spacious. I found it very confusing where I was suppose to check in. When I entered the property (which is huge ) I asked where to check in and was given an unclear answer. i was given no detials prior where I was was suppose to check in (I found out its at the main lobby of the embassy suites). It was a very quick visit but close to broadway at the beach which was what we wanted.
- 5/5
I loved the peacefulness and cleanliness. Although others were vacationing as well, I didn't have to worry about excessive noise.
- 4/5
Villa was not clean. My 11 month old crawled for 20 minutes and was very dirty.
- 4/5
Room clean but older looking view was good
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Went in October and it was very quiet. Saw very few people inside the hotel. Beach view was good. Downfall was eveey morning a truck came to the neighboring hotel and backed up beeping. Also there was not one single ice machine in the building.
- 4/5
Nice beach area. Common areas have been updated, but room is definitely showing its age.
- 2/5
The grounds were beautiful, and in a very continent location. The condo was old, outdated and dirty. I was met at the door by 2 dead cockroaches and a dried up earth worm. As I walked further into the condo I noticed the hunter green carpet was loaded with stains. In the master bathroom there were dirty footprints on the ground. So obviously the first thing I did when I got to our vacation spot was clean the place. Then I was worn out and wanted to relax and watch a minute of TV. Well the one in the living room didn’t work and the remote didn’t even have batteries. So I went to the master bedroom to try, and that one didn’t work either. There is no beach view here, but there is a small community pool out back.
- 5/5

Everything was great, great location love the pool and wateepark for the kids .. however the sheets were horrible they were like sleeping on paper very hard crunchy and noisy. The room on most part was clean however the floor was not swept good so had to sweep it myself. The drain in bathroom was supper stinky smelled like bad fish it was corrected and fixed but took two days to gey somethimg simple resolved

I love Kingston Plantations. Have been staying here for years. The check-in sucked this time around. The line was extremely long and there was only 1 person at the counter checking in. I heard people ahead of me complaining as well. After waiting about 10 minutes, other people finally came up front to help. Waited in line maybe 25-30 minutes before I was checked in. That is not a good look. On a Saturday around check-in time (4pm), there should be enough staff ready to help to keep people from having to wait so long. Other than that, my stay was wonderful. The villa was spacious, more than enough room for the 4 of us. And I love being able to use the shuttle to get where we need to go. The shuttle took us to the Hilton, back and forth to the pool. I would still stay again and recommend to others!
- 5/5
Everything from start to finish was top notch.
- 3/5
My room was supposed to be ocean front. It was not but it was a side view. I let that slide. But the unit itself needs a lot of updates. And if it is not oceanfront it should not be listed as such when people are trying to book rooms. The front staff at the embassy for check in was great.
- 4/5
Very comfortable, nice staff .
- 5/5
My family has stayed at numerous hotels/resorts at Myrtle Beach but Kingston is the best which is why we continue to book with them. There are many parts to Kingston plantation; hotels, suites, and condos. We’ve stayed in all and none disappoints. My family’s favorite are the spacious 3 bedroom oceanfront suites/condos that makes the trip feel like home. The rooms are clean and the resort quiet. All the amenities are right there, no need to go out the resort if you don’t want to. It’s pricey but worth it!
- 1/5
Ton of additional resort fees not disclosed at booking
- 1/5
The only thing that was good was the pool area with the kids zone. Besides that the whole experience was terrible. We rented one of the 3 bedroom villas. The condo was infested with cockroaches. I contacted the front desk 5 times with no answer. So I cleaned it up by myself told them the next morning and not much was done for my horrible experience. Not only was there 20-25 roaches but the overall cleanliness was horrible hair all over the bathrooms floors had dirt and food all over. Just over all disgusting. We had two young kids with us. And they told us there was no other rooms available for the amount people we had with us. Definitely will not be renting one of those condo/villas again. Very disappointed.
- 5/5
The property itself is very well kept and maintained. The rooms are very outdated and need upgrading. My room was not clean, we had to sweep, mop and dust our room when we arrived and there was no ironing board, no tissues in the bathrooms. Only two wash clothes between two bathrooms (we had to go buy more), the internet was not working and when I called the front desk, they basically told me to "figure it out". The inside of the refrigerator and stove were very dirty.
- 5/5
Very nice and quite community
- 5/5
Great property. Room pricing showed meal plan which turned out to be mini kitchen in room which was great
- 4/5
Our bed was very uncomfortable. We loved the view of the ocean. The bathroom seemed dated, toilet paper holder fell off. Shuttle service was great
- 3/5
Condo we were given was dated and not in the best shape. There is no staff in the building. No housekeeping. Staying her allows you to use the pool facilities at the neighboring Hilton which are beautiful. We loved the pool and the restaurant on their property. For the price I expected the condo to look like the pictures provided. The bathroom cabinet was hanging slanted due to age. The shower was not clean. Property did have a great view. For the price you are better off staying at the Hilton.
- 4/5
Overall good stay. They did not have the room ready at check-in so they issued a $75 food voucher for the restaurant. Don’t forget to let housecleaning know you want them to clean, they don’t do it automatically.
- 5/5
The pools were clean and spacious. The kids and adults really enjoyed everything. Thanks
- 1/5
Rooms were not what they offered online. Nothing worked and rooms were very dirty. I had to submit 6 work orders as soon as I got the there. Very inconvenient.
- 2/5
Depending on the building they put you in depends on the amenities you receive. For 6 people, we received two towels for a 4 night stay. Also, because they put us into the South Hampton tower and not the Embassy Suites, our breakfast was $25/pp, but if we were in the Embassy it would have been included. We didn't know what hotel we were going to be put into so I couldn't help but feel a little put off by that. It's one property, but you don't all get treated the same.
- 5/5
Nicely maintained!
- 4/5
Close to everything and friendly staff! Nice pools on premises and beaches were well maintained. Only issues were that room service did not show up once to clean our room for a 6 day stay (I had to call to request towels and toilet paper which they did provide but they didn’t remove old towels). There was also a $40 per day resort fee and $20 per day parking fee that was charged to my credit card 2 days after leaving (totaling $360 additional payment) after the room was paid in full via Expedia. Be aware of these charges before you book here as they were not exactly forthcoming with that upon check in.
- 3/5
the appliances are rusted and the bed are uncomfortable
- 5/5
Big rooms and good access to pool and beach.
- 5/5
Beautiful place, easy access to the beach , nice swimming pool with a nice vibe! All good we enjoyed our trip.
- 2/5
We stayed in Unit 1103 Brighton from August 2025, and were very disappointed. The suite smelled strongly of smoke, the carpet and furniture were stained and damaged, and the king bedroom’s mattress was completely worn down. The balcony furniture was rusted and broken, and it was unclear whether the chairs had mold or dirt. We chose not to address these concerns at the beginning of our stay because we had several reservations and dinner plans with our family, wanting our children to still enjoy their vacation. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy attractions like Broadway at the Beach and Tanger Outlets, and the beach view was beautiful with a pleasant noise level. Despite these positives, the suite’s condition was unacceptable. Management was made aware of our concerns but was not apologetic. The unit needs deep cleaning, a mattress replacement, and major repairs before being rented again. We expected better from Hilton and hope management addresses these issues so future guests don’t face the same experience.
- 5/5
Great place and great staff. Fun with the family
- 2/5
Carpet and overall look of the property..looks like college dorm rooms
- 4/5
We stayed at the Brighton in a 2 bdrm suite. The condo was nice and the view was awesome but all of the bedding was visibly dirty with the pillowcases in the main room having blood on them. When I brought this to the front desk they basically told me that it was the owners responsibility and not theirs. They had housekeeping come and remove the duvets but that was it. We still enjoyed ourselves but I will do more research when it comes to certain properties at Kingston.
- 2/5
Property is old and outdated. Carpet is damped and smell. Couch is also old and dirty. Everything is so outdated.
- 3/5
Staff needs positive customer service training. Buildings could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
- 2/5
We rented an efficiency that was supposed to supply a mini fridge. It was not working and three calls to desk were basically ignored. The bedding overal was not comfortable because the sheets were stiff as if they were burned during cleaning.
- 5/5
Resort-like with multiple amenities within walking distance.
- 3/5
Felt like a Motel 6

Upon arrival the gated entrance provided assurance I was in the right place. The property was well maintained from the villa sections, to the high rises and pool areas. The environment and atmosphere at the main pool was great with the DJ and music playing. The bar with waitress service was on point. Finding a chair can be difficult and people do put stuff down and never seem to come back but easy to figure out and work around. Our 2BR condo provided great space for my family. Ocean view was more than enough with balconies that spanned the full length of the condo. Beds were comfy with extra pillows and even extras in the closet for the pullout in the living room.

Nice

Love the view and being close to the pools

The property was not what they are advertising on the web page. The pictures are very deceiving. The carpet was nasty, they are showing hard wood floors, mold was on the ceiling, dirty spots on the old drapes to the window, there were an old musky odor in the room, thick dust on the little table the coffee machine was sitting on. I could go on and on. I will never stay at this place again.

Great stay nice quiet experience

The 2 bed, ocean view condo in the SouthHampton bldg was spacious, clean, great view, easy walk to the beach. Bed was a little firm for my liking & the trucks backing into the loading dock area beeped very loudly very early in the morning. We still loved the place.

Very nice

The staff was great and kind! The condo of three bed room was clean and spacious! My whole family love it! Everyone talk about how good the bed sleeps! Of course the pull out couch wasn’t good! I will be coming back!

It wasn’t the room i booked online, room was outdated, tub had stains, sink smelled like mold stuck water, Ac barely blowing, floor had sand, front desk couldn’t help because i booked thru hotels.com which makes no sense cause you still got paid, stay wasn’t free, i felt like i paid so much for nothing. Super dissatisfied

I was booked for the Brighton Towers. The first room i was assigned to 402G was very dated and had a horrible musty smell. It also overlooked a parking garage. Not the view advertised on booking sites. When i went back to the front desk to request a new room, staff member did not want to accommodate me. I got off the line to look for another hotel, When i got back online I got another front desk staff member who accommodated my request for a new room immediately. The new room was updated and much nicer with a better view, however very dusty. I let the front desk know. As far as the resort, the pools and grounds are very nice and its very family friendly. If you are looking for a quiet resort, this is not it. There were kids running everywhere. I thought they would be by the splash pad and slides, but they were in the larger pool with water guns, balls and jumping in and out, so keep that in mind. The breakfast at Embassy Suites is not worth $24.99, that was disappointing. We did enjoy the food at Black drum. Overall its a nice place but the start of the trip with check in and that old musty room 402G in The Brighton tower left a bad taste. Also the fact that the staff member told me there was no availability on the opposite side facing the water park, which was a lie was disturbing. We lost a hour of our trip, trying to find a new hotel last minute, Only to be accommodated immediately with another staff memeber. I don't think i would go back.

Lots to do for the kids but the pool was closed for part of our stay

The positives: The front desk agents were fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They really made a great first impression. The challenges: Reaching anyone by phone was nearly impossible. I tried the operator, front desk, concierge, and even the Black Drum restaurant with no luck. If we needed anything, we had to walk to the lobby ourselves. The room cleanliness was just so-so. There was visible dust everywhere—on surfaces, décor, and fixtures—which made the space feel neglected. We paid for an Oceanview room, but the view wasn’t great. Thankfully, the balcony had nice furniture, and that made up for it a bit. The biggest letdown—pool and water park: This has always been the highlight of our trips, but not this year. The pool water was murky with debris and things floating around in it. I know they clean it in the mornings, but there was no maintenance throughout the day. It felt dirty and uncared for. The pool attendants were rude and unhelpful—unlike the fantastic staff from years past, who were warm, attentive, and welcoming. Adding to the frustration: you’re no longer allowed to bring in any outside food or drinks—not even water or snacks for the kids. Meanwhile, food and drinks at the resort are outrageously expensive. To top it off, the trash cans by the pool were constantly overflowing.

We’ve stayed in MB before and this place was by far the best. Beautiful property, we stayed in the Margate tower which was huge with a beautiful view of the ocean. Multiple pools, clean rooms, hallways, pool areas. Great place , we’ll be back . Would recommend to anyone

I will start by saying that Kingston Plantation is beautiful, and having beach access steps from the condo was wonderful. I however have several complaints about the specific condo we stayed in. First of all, I wanted to stay at Kingston because friends had stayed there and talked about how much their kids liked the pools, especially the water park pool. The booking showed we would have access to the 9 pools. We found out differently once we arrived. Since we booked through a 3rd party, Expedia, we did not have access to that pool, or many of the others on the property. Additionally, our specific condo was dated. I don't mind the dated decor, but would hope that things are functional and safe, which was not the case. The lock on the sliding door to the balcony was broken, which is very scary when you have small children and the balcony is not very safe for young kids. Additionally, some of the bed frames were note secured properly, sinks leaked, and drawers and handles on the furniture were broken. Finally, the condo was not cleaned very well, and I had to do quite a bit of cleaning myself to feel comfortable.

This property was exactly what we were looking for! Our two year old loved the splash park and how close we were to the beach. It's located in a gated community which added an extra level of security. We will definitely be back.

The room I booked was supposed to be a king ocean view. The bed was definitely not a king bed. Not to mention the bedding and thrown pillows were dirty. I asked for new bedding and the hotel couldn’t bring it because it was up to the owner, they supplied an extra brown blanket instead. The bathroom shower was equally dirty with mold and the bottom looked like it had grim in the floor. The furniture was also very dingy and dirty. I have pictures to support all of this. I contacted the hotel for an adjust or credit or something and nobody has contacted me back so far.

One step above horrible unless you're a family with a bunch of kids. Children everywhere - throwing balls etc in the pool and the hot tub. We were not expecting a Days Inn all childrens location sort of atmosphere. Also - did not know it was housekeeping by request. Worthless 3 nights and expensive.
- 4/5
Close to the beach, near outlets, near the Broadway of the beach, alot of entertainment, family friendly
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Didn't like the fact that people were in the pool vaping, without concentration for children being around. Also being highly intoxicated while in the pool around children. Otherwise we had a great time, the children had a awesome time as well.

They did not bother to give us a cup of coffee or a cold drink or compensate us a room for the night when we told them that we had to stay in Myrtle Beach for an extra day said that it was not their fault for the accident and they would not be liable. We had to sit on the property for several hours waiting for a tow truck and police to finish their paperwork and all the time we have to stay outside. We had to go track down people and get names and numbers when it should have been offered to us To say that we are disappointed is an understatement The property is not handicap, friendly it is quite a bit of walking

The worst place to stay at very my girls can’t sleep at night we went to the office and refused bought some other room

I absolutely loved my stay at Kingston Plantation Condos. The only thing is I did not like having to pay for parking.

Water did not work in ref and dishwasher was falling apart with the top trim catching whennyou closenthe door and the kick plate is coming off. Just small repairs.
- 3/5
Room was not what I expected considering the price I paid. Furniture very outdated. On the plus side, it was a short walk to the beach and my grandsons really njoyd the water park.

Great place to stay.

Nothing it was terrible nasty had to spend whole first day cleaning. The tv in bedroom didnt work had to go buy new hdmi cable for it to work. Toilet leaked water everywhere no toilet paper had to go buy it. Lamp shade broken refrigerator shelf was broken. Had to tear both beds sheets and wash them before i could lay in the beds because so much sand in the beds it felt like i was laying on the beach with no towel.

We enjoyed the property and ammonites but we had to switch rooms three times. The first room was dirty and still had trash in the condo. Second room's AC did not work and it was 75. The third room was great but it was horrible packing up our stuff twice to move. I would go back but I would only stay in the Brighton Tower, the other towers (Hamptons) are ran down and dirty.
- 5/5
We love the beautiful landscape and ease to the pool and beaches.
- 2/5
Very dirty and needed updating.
- 2/5
Property was outdated; nothing in the room; air didn’t work. Had to try and call to get things in the room and we still never received anything. Only gets two starts for the kiddie pool. Otherwise will never stay here again.

Condo at Kingston Plantation was NOT what is shown in pictures on Expedia. We would have chosen another place to stay if we could have seen what it would actually be. Staff unable/unwilling to do anything about that part.
- 5/5
The property was amazing all the amenities and actual owners of the homes are great however the guest who stayed above us made our night terrible stomped ran and pounded all hours of the night into morning none of my family got to enjoy the suite my kids were crying because they were so tired and all we got was 40 off our total costs of over 500 not happy nor impressed on that note but the home and property beautiful just wish we were able to enjoy it all.
- 1/5
Old musty the smell was unbearable Luckily they were able to move us The next room was nice & new however my Husband & I both got injured due to a metal plate tripping hazard going out to the balcony. We are in the process of filling out an injury report with the security/manager It is so unfortunate that we have injuries due to the property not placing a warning strip that can be purchased at Home Depot peeled & adhered to the front so guest have a VISUAL WARRNING to watch your step before entering balcony. This is just COMMON SENSE for a property manager to know & do. We are checking out & going back to urgent care for my now possibly broken right toe. So upset a great vacation we were looking forward to has Not been the case

We absolutely loved it here and with definitely be back! Beautiful views, clean grounds, great pools!
- 4/5
The property was beautiful, the staff were friendly, the pool and beach areas were well maintained, the location was perfect. The only downfall was the variance in the upkeep of the individual units. The condo we were in had extremely dated and in some cases, damaged furniture, the balcony doors were so stiff they were almost impossible to open, and there was a shower curtain TAPED to the window in the main bathroom to prevent the outside from seeing in. Small adjustments could have made our time in the unit much more enjoyable.
- 4/5
Property was nice. The bedding perhaps need to be updated and property needs to be cleaned with more attention to detail. The access to the beach and the pool made the stay worthwhile. I will definitely go back to Kingston Plantation.

That night, someone entered our room at 5am turned on the light & after I jumped out of bed screaming, turned off the light and left. I am not sure if they came in from the front door or the adjoining room. There is no additional lock from the room…I am not sure how they pushed the door open, but it was super scary. I blocked the door with the table after that incident. Our friends purchased the umbrella and chairs from the beach and they placed the umbrella so low that it was hard to get under, not to mention, everyone was on top of each other!

Room very unclean - dirty / soiled carpet, furniture. Walls and floors dirty

it was safe

Me aThe only negative thing I have to say is the wait for food was extremely too long especially with kids. There needs to be more food options. The breakfast buffet is $25 a person regardless if you’re an adult or kid. That’s $75 a day for breakfast.

Loved this place! We moved here because our other hotel was so bad and it made up for it in spades!! We will stay again!

Pool area was superb. Lots of umbrellas and seating available. Nice play area for kids. Easy access to bar and food. Great location in North Myrtle Beach. We were on the 21st floor of Brighton, and the elevators were great.
- 2/5
Good location, however it’s dated, 1980’s decore. Sofa was old with stains. Mattress weren’t comfortable. Kitchen has old , rustic gear and the coffee pot was pretty nasty. I wouldn’t recommend it.
- 5/5
This place was amazing. We had a 2 bedroom. The beds are really out dated and old. The bed was not comfortable at all. The condo was huge and we spent most of our time at the beach and main pool. The kids had a blast

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like this one was necessary. If you’re considering staying here, I’d strongly suggest you think twice. The South Hampton looks great from the outside, but don’t let the appearance fool you. Inside, it’s outdated and nowhere near what the pictures online show. For the price, it’s definitely not worth it. What really pushed me to write this review was the poor customer service. I had an issue with my reservation, and the lady I spoke to on the phone blamed me for booking through Hotels.com — seriously? That’s not how you treat a guest. Overall, it felt more like a cash grab than a welcoming place to stay. I won’t be coming back.
