    Thank you for your email. I would like to share my disappointing experience during our recent stay at your hotel and sincerely hope improvements will be made for future guests. My family of five and I arrived on May 25 and were greeted adequately, but not with the level of hospitality and guest-centered service I have come to expect from Marriott properties. During our five-day stay, I requested room cleaning twice at the front desk. Each time, I was assured that someone would come, yet no one ever did. Since we were out most of the day, I had to personally go to the front desk multiple times just to get clean towels. At one point, we completely ran out of toilet paper, and after staff forgot to bring it, I had to go to a room across the hallway and get some myself. I also had to take our own trash out during the stay. We stayed in Room 904. In addition, the hallways were consistently dirty, and unfortunately, the staff were not friendly or attentive. Even during checkout on May 29, when I explained these concerns to the front desk associate, the response I received was simply, “Oh, okay, sorry.” Again, this is not the level of customer service I associate with Marriott. I have been a loyal Marriott guest for many years and have stayed at Marriott properties in many states as well as internationally.     We never leave reviews but we had to for our stay cause it was so awesome! Very clean and the staff were so nice!!! Great experience over all! First time bringing our dog and it was a great experience! Also the breakfast was amazing! 10/10!!! Everything was great!

    My family and I enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean. There was enough room for our family of 4 to sleep. We had the 2 queen bed room with sleeper sofa. The free breakfast and coffee were delicious! All the staff we encountered were friendly. The only negative was on the morning we were leaving there was no hot water and the water pressure was low. But we would definitely stay here again.

    The property was clean. The bed needed a better mattress. There is more of a slump on one side. The coffee maker was not clean and had coffee under it. Also, there was no coffee except one decaffeinated package, it does not use pods. The shower water was draining very slowly, until we figured out the issue. The drain had a ball of hair, this was evidence that the showers aren’t cleaned properly.

    My money and time is valuable. No one wants to start their vacation and be caught off guard per se with what can be seen looked upon as extra and/or “hidden fees”. So, what the property refunds it at the end of the stay. I would have appreciated being told this at the time of my booking- on your 3rd party websites prior to booking with you hotel. For the price I paid, I could have stayed at another top tier property with much better pool amenities and didn’t have to pay extra for parking. Usually for most properties parking is included- all you have to do is display your parking decal. To be honest this property isn’t all it is hyped up to and shouldn’t even charge thier guests parking per day- when they barely have enough parking spaces for their guests for starters. Again, th le extra charges at check in did it for me. One time stay is good enough for. I wont be back.

    The location is right on the beach. They give you cards to trade in for beach towels. We rented an umbrella and 2 chairs for $52 for the day(ends at 4PM) . The beach employee didn’t have a great attitude but is not a Marriott employee. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with eggs/meats/fried potatoes plus pancakes, waffles and plenty of cold choices as well. Parking is $20 per day and be warned the garage has very narrow lanes and tight spaces. During long weekend there were occasional long waits for the elevators (only 3, and the hotel staff use them for carts as well). They also closed many of the streets around the hotel, I’m guessing for traffic management. There was tons of traffic and loud motorcycles in town over the weekend. More specific to the Boardwalk, so many people were smoking weed. Having said that, we definitely recommend this hotel due to the location, staff, and amenities.

The disconnect between the lobby area, parking, and garage (a nightmare) trying to figure out which level was which because even if you got off the elevator on the floor your car was actually parked on you still might have to climb the steps or push luggage cart up another level rounding corners where other travelers were trying to get in the garage and park.

    What a lovely beachfront setting. The room had everything we needed for our 20 day stay and was very clean. Staff was extremely accommodating. The restaurant was ok, it could have had some more appealing food selections, but I understand that they do not run a full chef’s kitchen. The bar was nice and we had a lovely time.

    We absolutely loved our stay at the residence inn! The facility was incredibly clean, accessibility was fantastic, navigating the hotel is wonderful, the pools were perfect, crystal clear water and they're heated! The beach access is fantastic with about a 10 minute walk to a nice pier, and the location is quiet and peaceful. The only inconvenience was actually incredibly minor, and not really much of an issue, but parking is kinda weird at this hotel, the parking garage is the very front of the hotel and you have to use an elevator to get to the lobby, then go from the lobby to the guestroom elevators. Still absolutely no big deal, it's simple and efficient once you figure it out !

    There was a nice selection of all different breakfast foods. Pretty good too! Every staff member we came in contact with was wonderful. We enjoyed the pool. The only thing that would have been great would be airport transfer. We just uber’ed which was also pretty easy. We will definitely stay here again, thank you for everything!

    Breakfast is nice, room size outstanding view is great. Pool is too warm and too sheltered to swim or chill after beach day. Lots of dogs accomodated with large area for them to use as bathroom but its the other side of pool fence so potentially could smell. Restaurant food was not fresh when we ate.

    The breakfast was fresh and tasted good swimming pool did not use. Weather conditions didn’t allow. The staff was very friendly. I understand no smoking in the rooms at the hotel, but I do not understand why you cannot smoke on the balconies. My wife has illness. She doesn’t like being out in public. That’s the reason we picked this motel with the balcony to where we can sit outside so she can smoke and we were not allowed to. I feel that is discrimination against people that do smoke. I do understand not smoking in the rooms mean, the smell can leave behind, but it’s not right to people that do smoke

    Was in a convenient location and near the airport. We stayed here when it first opened 7 years ago and it was wonderful. The beds were really uncomfortable. They kept running out of different foods during breakfast like yogurt, fresh fruit, different types of milk. The facilities overall seem to be a little tired. We were also overcharged and had to address with the front desk.

    2. Did not like their house keeping plan… they do not fix the beds (although we said at check in that we want house keeping). Then second day we requested house keeping they said it will be available the following day. Then we requested it on the following day to be surprised that they only exchanged the towels and took the trash away. On top of that when i hopped in the shower…there was no body wash and no shampoo… so housekeeping takes barely a rating of 2 out of 10😩 3. Did not use the outdoor pool but it looked good..clean and warm.

    The breakfast was great, the place is extremely dirty. The carpets need vacuuming, there were 4 bags of trash near the ice machine that stayed there for a couple of day. House keeping came on the 2nd day made one bed but left the other one unmade. They left a bag of trash on the bed and the bathroom towels on top of the kitchenette. The lounge chair need to be replaced and the place needs to be cleaned.

    This is our first stay, and we will be back. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff were couteous and responsive to requests. The breakfast buffet is filled with a good assortment of hot and cold options, fruit, and other breakfast items. Caitlin and Damaris did a great job of managing the breakfast and coffee bar. The pool has a heated section making it more enjoyable for off season.

    Unfortunately, I did not like this property. It was very overpriced for what it offered. Absolutely nothing. I was very disappointed in my stay. I do not plan to stay here in the future when visiting MYB. The microwave didn’t work and the pillows were dirty. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. I was unable to dial the front desk from the room and had to go downstairs to make complaints. No apologies for the inconvenience. I did not like the $900 hold on credit card while staying at the property.

    The room was not properly cleaned, hair clogged in the shower drain that my husband had to clean out because when showering the water was overflowing onto the floor…staff was rude when I asked for cleaning supplies to clean the room because they said it was late 10pm and housekeeping was not available to come up and clean our room but that they could accommodate us by moving us from the 12th floor with views to the 6th floor.

    This place has everything. It’s clean, the staff are great, the room is spacious and has everything a traveler needs. It’s right on the ocean and has two pools which are under cover, in case you’ve gotten enough sun and still want to splash about. The bar/grill was an unexpected surprise. The food is fantastic and the service outstanding.

    The room was nice and updated. The bathroom and shower floor could have been a little cleaner but not the worst I’ve seen. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I was expecting out of a Marriott hotel. The hotel had really nice ocean views. The breakfast buffet was really nice and had a lot of options. We would stay here again.

    For starters, check in was a bit confusing. I got a $460 charge and wasn’t even told what it was for until I asked. The clerk appeared confused and I asked if it was incidentals and she just shook her head yes. Couple of hours later I was told sinceI had booked through Expedia they would reverse the charge by the next morning. Confused again. Had my service dog so a little later I was approached to now sign a dog document. The staff however was nice! It was just a confusing check in. The room was just ok. Beds are EXTREMELY hard and uncomfortable which made us decide not to stay an extra night like we wanted to to spend more time seeing the beach. Couldn’t take the back pain another night and day. The room never got cool enough even setting the a/c as low as it would go. Had to be around 75 the whole time. Breakfast, same thing every day. The elevators are awful. We stood 15 minutes (literally) waiting on the one elevator out of three to pick us up. Two weren’t working and multiple people were complaining about the wait time. Finally at check out and I asked why my $460 hadn’t been returned yet. She claimed incidentals again and would provide me a receipt showing it was a charge for incidentals. She gives me a receipt for PARKING only. Returned back to the desk and asked again for a copy showing it was a charge for incidentals. Now she said she can’t provide a receipt for that but it should be reversed “now” because she closed us out. Asked for a receipt showing that. Nada!

    Booked an oceanfront king suite but when we arrived we were told that there were none available. No alternative was offered, not even the option to switch to a king room if it became available the next night. Otherwise the room was clean and fine. Wish I had a king bed like I reserved, would have booked differently had a I known none were available.

    I did not like the old musty smell of either the pillows or mattress Islept on. The water from the shower spills out onto the tile because the shower door doesn't extend out so the floor ends up with a puddle. Breakfast was good the first morning of our stay and then after the that it was bland. The bar could've had some sort of complimentary drink such as champagne for new years eve. The staff member made it clear there was not anything special planned for new years such as a menu for food or drink specials. The hotel I stayed at last new years had complementary champagne. That hotel is on the same beachfront location as the Residence Inn myrtle beach.

    the room was overall clean and comfortable. the carpet in the hallway should be replaced as it's worn out teribbly and begining to smell. the breakfast was absolutely amazing and delicious. the staff was pleasant however, you did have some staff who appeared unsatisified with their job. With a few more renovations this place could go far. Solid 3 star hotel.

    However, the breakfast offering was very poor. The standard of the food was poor. I am really disappointed that plastic cutlery is used, and some dishes were polystyrene. Surely a better environmentally stainable alternative can be found or just use normal cutlery and plates. The amount of waste is outrageous.

    9/18-9/23./2025. King suite booked. Tv not online couldnt connect it. Light above dining table out. Black mold under shelf in shower, and glasstrim. Filth and hair in corners. Asked 4 times for housekeeping. Once upon arrival fri, twice sat. On sun. they were to come for their 3 day "quick clean empty trash, make bed, "never showed. On monday I was disgusted & complained again, left Tues . My first room had no ac. Housekeeping clearly didnt clean that one or they would have noticed. Maintenance was amazing but after 4 hours they couldn't fix a.c., replaced whole unit. Stifling hot humid. Was denied another room as a Shriners convention booked all hotels in the area. Yet went on Expedia another room available, different grade but available . In tears a mgr finally gave me another room Jim Volz was outstanding. On Monday I was bleached out of my room. Apologized to numerous times and the room would be" blocked from sale. Tues" Looks beautiful but looks are deceiving. Cleanliness is most important. Per front desk " not a full service hotel" but at 1100 for 4 nights. I want clean towels delivered, picked up and at least a bed made ,wastebasket emptied I have pictures. If anyone wants them. I went out bought my own lysol and wipes. Marriott is definitely not the place to stay. Many other oceanfront hotels to stay in cheaper. I was told a card door they didnt come in. There were 2 cards a "do not disturb"and a "towel refresh card". staff google translated to me so no towels.

    Great ocean view from our room's balcony. The pool area was nice-- it works on a sunny day or a rainy day at the covered pool. Lots of spots in the hotel with balcony chairs and places to sit for cards or talking. Breakfast had a good selection and eating area.

    Well first your neighbor can look directly into your room from their balcony. Didn’t like that. Charged $22 a night to PARK at the hotel, told me everyone in MB had gone this route. Not true, I walked to a few close by equally nice resorts and was told one car parking is free at their location. Breakfast was underwhelming. I’ll be back next year but I’ll stay elsewhere.

    I was disappointed with check in process. Hotels.com said no hidden fees, however we were charged many hidden fees including a parking pass fee of $20/day greater than $200 for our trip. The charges to my account were not for the amount determined by hotels.com. I am very much dissatisfied with how I was charged. I had a room refresh every 2 days per hotel policy which was to include towels and refreshing toilet paper. Towels were exchanged but we had to request toilet paper from front desk - our room was left with an empty toilet paper roll more everytime. When our room was cleaned, the new sheets and comforter appeared soiled. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast.

    Everything that Marriott properties are known for in customer service, this location is the exception. They tell you “we don’t or no longer do that here.” All parts of staffing are friendly, which makes it hard to say this. Some may need more training in guest services with listening. We had an experience in the restaurant, that I won’t share on listening. But yet we tipped well, regardless. We were asked did we have a vehicle upon arrival, we told them no. At check out I asked to not only charge a different credit card but can I get a print out of charges. Guess what I was charged for daily with taxes? Parking! Then they never processed the correct amount but I have 3 pending charges—2 on the wrong card and 1 on the correct card! Needless to say, I won’t be back. Although the location is at a beautiful part of the beach. The rooms need updating with repairs. I’m glad I took a video upon check in. I’ll be paying attention to my card for anymore frivolous charges. I’ll take my chances at another Marriott property in the area. First and last stay.

    I liked the Residence Inn by Marriott. It was easy to get to from the Airport, centrally located next to other hotels and had complimentary breakfast. I didn’t like that you had to pay so much money for two chairs and an umbrella on the beach. The hotel should have supplied the chairs and umbrella for you.

    The only thing I enjoyed about the hotel was the ocean front view from my room. The hotel room wasn't cleaned properly the room was very dusty, hair in the shower, bathroom sink and hair on the bed. I'm glad I packed Lysol wipes, towels, throw blankets, and my own pillow case. There was a big roach in my room the staff was very nice and moved my husband & I to another room with a oceanfront view when we walked in the room it wasn't properly cleaned just like the 1st room. The floor was so dusty it looked like the blankets were just changed. The front desk did mentioned that housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms everyday while staying at the hotel but i expect the room to be cleaned properly after somene checks out.

    Cons: The mattresses were very uncomfortable—too soft and saggy, which left me with back pain every morning. The breakfast experience was disappointing: they were always out of something (hash browns, sausages, bananas after 8 a.m.), the pancake maker didn’t work, the waffle batter dispenser was broken, and sometimes there were no forks. We constantly had to ask for items to be replenished. PS please note that there is no cleaning during the week stay, and they change towels twice a week.

    The property was absolutely beautiful. Such a nice hotel. The staff was great also. We did not run into one rude person. Everyone greeted us with a smile. My only issue was the cleanliness of the room. The bed (which was not that comfortable) had stains on the sheets. I even found a bit of blood. There was hair everywhere. The hotel allows pets so the halls had a consistent wet dog smell and so did our couch. But other than those things it was a pretty okay stay.

    This hotel was just ok, it had a lot of wear and tear. We had bugs in one of our rooms. The front desk clerk over charged my card by $1260 every though I paid for my accommodations on hotels.com prior to my arrival. It took 2 weeks before my money was returned. It’s the only hotel I have ever stayed that charged $100 per day deposit. I have stayed at multiple Marriott hotels and was never charged $800 deposit for 2 rooms in a 3 star hotel. I probably would never stay at this hotel again and would definitely not recommend them.

    Spacious updated room. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast crew was amazing, they kept everything clean and well-stocked. 4 out of 5 stars was the odor. Room smelled faintly of pets (it’s a pet-friendly hotel, which I didn’t pay attention to unfortunately), so if you’re allergy-prone, this might not be the best place for you to stay. Otherwise, this hotel is a great place to stay!

    The suite was unclean they called cleaner who swept the suite poorly. The manager was told the suite was clean but it was not. Corporate said it would be 5 days to respond to our complaint.

    Staff was outstanding but there were not enough staff. Breakfast buffet was out of orange juice, milk and paper plates at 8:55am when we tried to eat breakfast. Quality was subpar on what they did have. Common areas seemed to have no HVAC at all and were humid and hot. Our bathroom door would not close due to previous water damage and the tile was loose in the bathroom from all the water damage. It seems no doors on our hallway were properly aligned as when every door closed it would wake up the dead. The restaurant and bar onsite was not at all how it seemed online. It was like fast food and no true service staff simply a single bartender trying to do it all. The flies in the eating areas were unacceptable and many things were outdated or needing repair but the website indicated it was all recently renovated. We were told at check in the HVAC could not keep up and to set the HVAC on 65 degrees but to understand it could not make the rooms comfortable. Ours stayed about 74-75. The staff did what they could but simply could not keep up or did not have the support or supplies they needed. We would not stay here again based on what we paid.

    I stayed 4 days in the hotel and no housekeeping come and check our rooms and I also requested a housekeeping at the front desk but nobody came at my room so I have to clean and go bring a towel and take the trash out unfortunately.

    The staff were nice. The breakfast could change daily. Our room was dirty as soon as we walk in. There is dirt all over the floor, the extra blankets had hair in them, the shower wasnt clean. For the amount of money you paid to stay could have been better

    They need more staff. The staff that was there did their best to make the stay great. It's only so much a short crew can do. My bathroom had mildew on the CREAM colored tile. The bathroom floor was not mopped. They did offer a room replacement, I declined. I asked they come clean the things wrong in the unit I was already in and a crew member did come and rectify the situation.

    The hotel is beautiful and clean with a large well equipped fitness center and outdoor pool. The daily breakfast buffet offers plenty for anyone’s appetite, both traditional and healthy items. The staff are friendly and helpful. The suites come with a terrace and a full kitchen. The shower was large and the room also had a large sofa and table for four. The room was one of the nicest I have seen. The rooms were quiet throughout the day. We are not pet people, but plenty of folks brought their dogs. We didn’t hear any of them barking, but the elevator and lobby was routinely full of them, which honestly we did not find appealing. I traveled with my 2 kids and they were happy and comfortable in the room, the lobby and beach areas. I would definitely stay here again. It felt like home!

    The hotel itself was great. Lots of amenities, great food and excellent service. My only complaint is regarding the cleaning protocol for the rooms. Our room was clean but there were sunflower seeds in the floor indicating that the room was either not swept or not swept well. The every other day towel and garbage removal is not ideal when you are on vacation with kids and everyone needs to shower each day. When the room was "cleaned" there was still sand and hair on the floor. It only looks like the comforters on the beds were pulled up. Overall, the efforts were just not there for an otherwise flawless operation.

    The property itself is nice. However our white linen wasn’t the whitest. Parking is tight and horrible. You will be waiting at least 5 minutes each time just to get in and out of the elevator.

    Every staff member was knowledgeable and very friendly. I truly enjoyed the staff at breakfast. The gluten free options were a nice surprise. The views in the dining areas are wonderful. The only drawback are the tight ramps in the parking garage. They actually have mirrors so you can see if anyone is coming onto the ramp. Use them and be cautious.

    The Staff was excellent. The breakfast each morning was excellent. We were put it room #1108 which was not so excellent. There is no screen on the balcony door so enjoying the air at night was out. The bathroom fan did not work and the shower has only one half of a glass door. The light switches are set to some kind of weird combination in order for them to work. The room was very clean upon arrival.
