The staff were very kind and helpful. There was a lot going on with the building but they made things better within their means. The elevators broke down the entire time we were there. Only one elevator servicing 30 floors of guest plus the housekeeping staff.

I felt very safe throughout my stay, which was especially important since I was traveling with my child in a mommy and me trip. The staff was always friendly, welcoming, and extremely accommodating whenever we needed assistance. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our New York adventure. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great location and excellent service in the heart of Manhattan. Thank you for helping make our trip so memorable!

My stay at this Courtyard by Marriott was okay overall. The property was clean, but the room I was assigned felt very old. The bed was extremely uncomfortable — it honestly felt like sleeping on a wooden table. The one positive was that they validated my parking ticket for a discounted rate, which I appreciated.

The staff was helpful. The manager let my wife borrow an umbrella, which was a nice touch.

Here are my negatives: 1. Our room was dirty when we checked in. Hair in bathroom. Floors dirty. 2. No Internet Cable TV: No Connection for either of the two rooms I booked for a week. Saiid informed of my issue and gave me 5000 Marriott Bonvoy points. I did not realize my second room did not have the capability either. 3. No microwave & no refrigerator. 4. Front desk staff not warm, smiling, or friendly. They need to be more customer focused and have better attitudes. 5. I arranged a late check out at 12 noon the day before check out. Got to our rooms day of check out and keys would not work. Had to return to the desk to “verify” Late check out and was never instructed. 6. I have stayed at the Marriott Courtyard on 90th, and you should take notes from their hotel. Much more positive experience. If I spent $1000 per night for two rooms for a week, I expected better customer experience.

I didn't know how to operate pulling the shades down, so I called for assistance and the maintenance guy came in record time. The bed was extremely comfortable. Slept very well. 1) The room was extremely small. 2) In addition, the entire hotel is small. As soon as you come off the elevator the hallways are very narrow and the rooms are literally side by side one another. 3) the bathroom doesn't have a water stopper when you take a shower so the entire floor in the shower, by the sink and by the bathroom door was completely filled with water. The building needs an upgrade, for sure. 4) both elevators are very slow. I waited for almost 13 minutes to get on one of the elevators.

Room was clean, staff was very friendly, just steps away from NY Library, Bryant Park and lots of shops. You can refill your water and get complimentary coffee in the Mezzanine. Hotel is a little aged, but not rundown. The last day there no one ever turned over our room, but it is the holidays so maybe they were understaffed or extra slammed. I’d stay again.

This Marriott was atrocious!!!! The only bright spot was the staff that cleaned our room. The hotel is dirty, dated and the front desk staff was most unhelpful. The "bellhop" was great he hustled. The elevator was inconsistent and unreliable and at one point both my rooms were locked and inaccessible. Old - not a renovation in site. Zero amenities. No coffee or water in the room. No cups or glasses or a pen and paper. They advertise breakfast but in fact just offer water (in cups - none for the room) and coffee. Heating and cooling is subject to NYC rules (aka - don't have to (and don't) turn on the heat before a certain date even if it is unseasonably cold). I generally count on the Courtyard to be "fine". Not this one. Felt safe though with security elevators and a good location. Also, the room, however dated, was clean.

Air unit was noisy and room would either be too hot or cold. It was stuffy and room smelled stale. Towels and sheets didn’t smell clean

This place is no frills but the location is impeccable. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, but need updating. Elevator was out of order quite a bit during our 5 night stay. One of the two elevators didn’t work the entirety of our stay and the other was slow and was out of order completely for a short bit. We were glad to have a room on the lower floors so we could take the stairs. All the staff were friendly and helpful. No complimentary water bottles but there was a water station in the mezzanine. Would absolutely stay here again.

Besides, as a Marriott lifetime Gold member they charged me for the faster internet service, which was supposed to be free, and when I called to have the charges reversed the customer agent simply refused to do it and she was quite disrespectful. I had to ask for the statement and I ended up calling Marriott main office to dispute those charges and they agreed to it. This has been my worst experience at a Marriott property over the last 2 decades.

This is a no frills hotel. You get a bed, you get a bathroom. but only 2 elevators for 30 floors and the staff has to hold one of them for cleaning half the time makes getting to your room a hassle. Otherwise the staff was fine. My room was clean. The bathroom is passable but only barely. The hot water takes a good 2-5 mins to heat up, even on not busy shower times. But if you want to be near shopping, subway, bryant park, the location is amazing. So its a trade off.

Lots of dining options in walking distance. Close to time square and other attractions like the famous New York Library.

The hotel is in a great location, but it’s an old hotel and the furniture needs updating. I thank Aiden and front desk allowing my family and I to stay in an upgraded room. They were very accommodating overall. You get free coffee all day, but have to travel for breakfast.

This was a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice. We made a few requests for extra towels and some things we forgot to pack. They were delivered to our room post-haste. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The floor could’ve been vacuumed a little better, but overall, it was clean and well kept. I recommend.

We loved our stay! Conveniently located right near NY Public Library and Bryant Park. Lots of food options and short walk to Grand Central and other stations. It’s a walkable to Times Square and Rockefeller Center if you are able to. The staff was lovely, especially Pedro! Would definitely come back.

The location is great. It doesn’t compare to any other Courtyard by Marriot I’ve stayed in the past. It’s old and not well kept. Windows were dirty, beds boards were falling apart. Linen was clean but that was about it.

It was traumatic. Woken up by a couple having sex and horrifying hoping it not wake up my children/preteen. Walls are so thin, you can hear it stilll going into my room in the morning. I am so traumatized especially as a family. Speechless.

I am a bit tired of booking for a family of four and when we show up there are only 2 or 3 towels in the room and we have to call down for more towels and it takes 45 minutes to get them. This happened at this property. The location is great, staff was friendly, room was clean but we had a king and a sofa bed and the sofa bed was amongst the worst I’ve ever slept on. I don’t recommend the rooms with a sofa sleeper if that is an indication of their comfort level.

The hotel was conveniently located to where I needed to be for the weekend (Times Square, 30 Rock). The room was nice and comfortable, and every staff member I encountered was nice and accommodating. If I return to NYC, will definitely considering staying at this hotel again.

The property doesn't offer a morning breakfast area, so you are pretty much on your own. The queen beds are nice and comfortable. Other than that, there's not much else to discuss.

Very noisy. I almost didn’t sleep. I requested a high floor but instead got put on the 4th floor facing a very noisy street. There was also a family next door with a child crying all morning. You can hear everything here due to the layout of the property and proximity of each room to one another. I also attempted to work remote from the room and it was impossible. Housekeeping staff slams doors of rooms and it’s impossible to concentrate. Just very noisy overall and I would not stay here again. The concierge man was very nice and attentive.

The property was walking distance to Times Square and very convenient to other popular sites. There was also a subway station a block away and a nice coffee shop right next door.

When asked to speak to manager, No manager was available on the weekend. Would not stay at this hotel again.

I had the worst check in experience in my life. I had to wait for more than 30 mins to get a room. Their check in time ins 4 PM but showed up around 7 PM still room was not ready. This is completely unacceptable. Lift was not functioning as expected. Many times, it will not stop on the floor even though it is going in the same direction

The area was great, it was in the hear of Manhattan; walking distance to restaurants, time square, NY public library, etc. However, the hotel had one working elevator which made it horrible for everyone. We were told of this the night before checking in and waiting for the elevator wasn’t fun. During checkout time we had to wait close to 30 minutes to get the elevator to get down as everyone was checking out the same time. They truly need to work on that. Price wise it was good for the location. But the cleanliness wasn’t that good.

The property was great! My only issue is we were on the 28th floor and only one elevator was working so had to wait to go up and ended up walking down 28 flights of stairs. Room was great and spacious. Pull out bed was quite uncomfortable but the king size bed was great!

Elevator was broken. We were on the 26th floor. Would take 30 min sometimes to get on elevator. When u finally got on, elevators were so packed since only 1 elevator was working that I got sick once and had to get off and walk down the remaining 10 flights of stairs. No microwave or mini fridge. Very small outdated rooms. No storage. 4 people included 2 teens was a super tight fit. Would never stay here again. Poor workers even have to fight for elevator or walk stairs. Best thing was location.

The non working elevator need the management and the corporate attention. As a client, i understand the problem, and was patient. But It must be fixed !

Convenient stay close to Grand Central and Bryant Park. One elevator was broken (but we were alerted to that fact ahead of time by the hotel) so only having one functioning elevator was a nuisance. Coffee and water on the mezzanine was nice, but it would’ve been nice to have a place to sit. Rooms small but functional. Good price for NYC.

2. One of the elevators didn’t work so they only had 1 elevator for 30 floors INCLUDING staff. They didn’t have a freight elevator for housekeeping so that made waiting for elevators extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes for an elevator on check out day and gave up. Had to carry our luggage down 16 flights of stairs. TERRIBLE experience. Once we had to walk up the stairs to the 16th floor. 3. I was hung up on 4 times before we arrived to inform the hotel of our flight delays. Seemed like I was an inconvenience. I barely said my name when she answered and she hung up on me. I just wanted to ensure we had a room when we arrived late. Only Pro: the room was cozy and we were able to watch Netflix to wind down each night We enjoyed NY but will not stay at this location again and will not recommend to anyone. The staff were extremely rude so overall terrible experience

Hotel was pretty nice. Staff was responsive and items requested arrived very quickly. However, only 1 working elevator was a huge issue. It became a game as to how to get to the 28th floor and down to the lobby in less than 30 minutes.
