    The “cafe” and “bar” are pitiful. The room was not cleaned every day. On day three, I called the front desk because I had no clean towels and the trash was overflowing and they told me “our policy is to clean rooms every day, however, to insure a visit from housekeeping, guests must call each day and specifically request one.” That is absurd. Half of the electronics charging ports did not work. The TV remote stopped working in the evening, replacement remote/batteries were not available until the “engineer” reported to work the following morning. The A/C air handler is in the room, and is extremely loud. The towels might scratch your skin off. The vinyl flooring planks were warped and would scrape your bare feet. The bed alcove is so small the bed is only accessible from one side. Pros The lobby area was consistently clean. The lobby desk staff was pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The A/C worked. Someone was available to answer the guest services phone 24/7. They weren’t terribly helpful, but at least someone answered the phone. There are lovely coffee shops within walking distance, as well as nice shops and restaurants in the adjacent neighborhood areas. The train entrance is convenient.

    Hi. I wanted to let you know about an experience I had while staying with you this weekend. It happened between 8.30am and 9am on Sunday May 31st, in the breakfast area. The woman who was on duty (I didn't see a name badge but she was about 5'4'', dark skin, wearing a dark suit and aged between 40 and 50) was so incredibly rude (to me and several other guests), she came across as extremely angry and I was pretty shocked at her behaviour. I think she either needs serious therapy and mental health assistance or she is a person not suited for a customer facing role. Either way I wanted to report her so she can be helped or removed from that role.

    I travel A LOT and spend plenty of time in hotels and this was one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I've had in quite some time. The room was amazing. I have zero complaints and if I could pack up this hotel and take it with me wherever I'm going, I would. I typically stay closer to Manhattan when in NY, but I will now seek this hotel as my first option.

    Decent enough Hotel with comfortable bed and bathroom facilities as expected. Disappointing menu for evening dinner, not a great choice if you don’t like fried food! The other issue is all the extra charges that are levied on your charge card which weren’t previously mentioned when booking the room with breakfast included. This needs to be better explained to Customers. Location ok, near a few subway stations so access to central Manhattan was fine.

    Great hotel in downtown Brooklyn! Walkable distance to DUMBO, Barclays, subway station and plenty of dining options. My room was clean and the fitness centre in the basement was way more spacious than what I’m used to from a hotel.

    This is not a 4 star hotel as rated online. The bed was completely saggy on both sides, the pillows were quite firm and chosen for people with broad shoulders, very puffy. I asked for a different pillow and was told that there is only one type of pillow in the hotel. The push window opened, but there was no way to close it again. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a plane was landing in there... I asked for a quiet room, and they delivered on that. The people at the front desk were courteous and respectful. The towels were clean. Not certain the the carpet had been vacuumed between guests. I didn't eat breakfast, so can't comment.

    This is not a fancy hotel but it was perfect for a great week in New York. Kevin at the front desk was fantastic and helpful. Workout gear in the room was a nice touch and easy breakfast options are available in the lobby. The location is great for city connections. We will definitely be back!

    I really enjoyed my stay here. Great location near lots of trains, quiet comfortable room, nice lobby area to hang out in and grab a coffee or snack and some free ginger lime water. The gym has lots of exercise options and the staff was very kind. I would stay here again. Only faults I could find were that the windowsill seemed never to have been cleaned, coated with dust, and I called repeatedly about an item I had left in the room, twice reassured I would receive a call back, but no call.

    I was very pleased with my stay at the Even Hotel in Brooklyn. The room was a neat and clean. Everything I needed was there: iron, hairdryer, refrigerator and an easy to use TV remote. The view was nice and the hotel was quiet. The 24/7 market area offered everything I could want for snacks or drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel very highly and when travelling I would book an Even Hotel again.

    My friends and I stayed here for a quick weekend trip to NYC and were only in our rooms to sleep and change daily. I’ve def stayed in nicer hotels but this hotel was located close to the Brooklyn bridge which is why we essentially picked it and it was clean and overall a comfortable accommodation.

    My room had bed bugs. I was switched to a different one and was told I’d be refunded for part or all of my stay and never heard back. The wifi was also really spotty from my room and wasn’t reliable at all. Seriously makes you question the amenity fee. Cannot recommend at all.

    Perfect location in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. Definitely will be our go to when attending events at the Barclays. Only issue I had was parking. Parking was close to the hotel but the fee is expensive! Perhaps the Hotel can partner with the parking facility and offer guess a discounted rate. Other than that, no issue.

The amenities in the room were above and beyond almost any hotel I've been to, and I travel for a living. The exercise equipment, yoga mat station and standing desk were wonderful and convenient. The Bathroom was just right, and the water pressure was great; even on the 11th floor. The view was great at that height. The bed was super comfortable and I was asleep in no time. Got a great night's sleep for a busy work day the next morning. I'd love to stay at this property again if I'm ever in town. Not much to say here, as I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing I can think was that the breakfasts offered were pretty expensive, but looked good from what I saw of the other guests' orders. There was a self-checkout, that did make grab and go possible, but I didn't use the service.

    For a four star hotel the least they could do is have streaming shows on the TV. Water machine on 12th floor wasn’t working and was dirty. Also they charge a small fee to hold your bags. It wasn’t all bad like the bathrooms was decent just not the experience I expect at a 4 star restaurant. Won’t be returning

Great space, however, throughout the night, you could hear other guests walking to and from the elevator, as well as what seemed like someone trying to get into their room. The entire time, it made me anxious because I could hear all the commotion while trying to sleep. I really didn't get much sleep and I had to work the next day.

    All good except for bedding. Bottom sheets don’t stay on bed. What is it about New York City hotels that they don’t believe in fitted bottom sheets? So when you lie down and the mattress squishes your bottom sheet falls inward and doesn’t stay put.. Or if you’re restless and put your arms under your pillow, it pulls the bottom sheet away also. So you end up sleeping on the mattress pad. Also interesting that there aren’t blankets . I appreciate that they’re not gross unwadhable blankets, but I would think a thick insert in a duvet would make more sense.

    WOW! This Hotel is So Awesome! Every single person working there was friendly and helpful. The room was super clean. We got stuck in Brooklyn during the snow storm of Feb. 2026, and everyone at the hotel bent over backwards to make sure my son and I were comfortable. I look froward to being a repeat guest.

    The air fresher/fragrance in the room was too strong. Between the smell and the dry heat it caused me to have a serious sinus reaction for days. I could not stop sneezing, runny nose and eyes and had trouble breathing.

    Friendly staff The cleanliness of the room especially the bathroom was pretty bad. There was black mildew on the grout and the body wash was chunky. The mechanism that keeps people from tampering with it was broken. One bottle was empty. I've stayed here a few times and never had these issues before

    Staff at front desk was friendly. Offered snacks upon check-in, that was a really nice touch as we arrived late at night. Room was small, but well arranged, clean and nicely updated. Bed was comfortable. We heard the subway and normal city noises, but tolerable and still slept well. Convenient location to restaurants. Lobby was also nicely updated.

    In general all was great. I had a great time with my family. I would go again and stay. Breakfast was great. Its 14 minutes away from my family's apt . Love the place Great but everything is going up these days. The only thing is when the heat kicks on its kinda loud. You do have the train noise above you but I didnt mind.

    The EVEN hotel was a very servicable 2-star hotel with an exceptionally friendly staff. Small rooms, a little beat up, but everything worked, we could get extra coffee when requested and it did have some touches like the small marketplace with snacks and soft drinks. Breakfast was middle-of-the-road with one overworked woman running all the food, but overall we'd stay again, especially considering the prices compared to Manhattan hotels. It's a great location for exporting Brooklyn while still getting fast trains and cars into Manhattan, particularly downtown and midtown.

    Staff were helpful with transportation. Dirty. Hallway carpet was really dirty. Elevator was dirty. Room desperately needed an upgrade. Floor was uneven, peeling and unfinished paint on walls, scanty bathroom amenities. Coffee machine in the lobby/restaurant was broken the whole 4 days we were there. Totally understand that a broken elevator (one of the 2 was down) can take weeks to repair but how hard is it to replace a coffee machine?

    However the location is excellent in Brooklyn, the bed was comfortable, and you'd expect to need earplugs in any city. The in-room "gym" may be of interest to some. We had a discounted rate on the room, which made it cheaper than other 4-stars in the area, which is about right. I'd stay again at a similar rate.

    We asked for room cleaning in the AM and was not completed when we got back to the room in the PM. We had to step out when cleaning team finally knocked on the door, came back the room, the sheets/pillow cases were not changed. They just made the bed.     The room was much smaller than expected and my small windows (nothing like the big floor to ceiling windows like in the pictures) were facing a brick wall 20-30ft away with apartment windows facing mine so I kept the curtains closed. The bathroom floor grout, shower grout, and paint around the doors and floorboards were chipping and the building had a weird smell. There were also a lot of stains on the carpets in the hallway which smelled old but with an industrial cleaner scent. The mini fridge was also leaking water on the inside and there was a clear tray inside to catch it so I had to figure out spacing for leftovers. One of my bedside lights also stopped working the second day. The heating was extremely loud but worked really well. I was too tired to complain or move rooms and only stayed two nights but unfortunately I won’t be coming back to this hotel.

    The hotel unfortunately is not as pictured. The rooms are tired dated, shabby and grubby in places. I would not rate this a 4 star hotel. It’s in need of a refurbishment. The staff are friendly and helpful with daily maid service which you’d expect. Bed was comfortable and sheets clean but towels are not luxurious and the ones we got on a daily basis where threadbare in places. This is not IHG 4 star in UK standards.

    This was not a great Even hotel to stay in. The rooms and hallways were dirty. The halls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The lobby was dirty. But the worst part was that the internet kept going down and cutting me off from important Teams meetings...it was awful. I am an IHG member and this is by far the worst Even Hotel I have stayed in.

    It’s conveniently located. Check in and check out were easy. Room was clean. There is a parking garage around the corner and a subway station a 4 minute walk away. So that was all great. What wasn’t great was the noise. The HVAC worked well but it was crazy noisy. It woke me up Everytime it went on or off. The street outside the hotel was also super noisy. One elevator was broken, which caused long waits. Fortunately we were on the third floor so we could just use the stairs.

    Check in was frustrating. Arrived right at 3 check in time. Was told room was not ready. No problem, we will wait. They schedule a shift change at check in time so girl working with us just left and no one knew we were waiting. Then a huge wedding party rolled in and got stuck behind them. Second elevator was out of service entire stay resulting in really long wait times to get up and down from room. Not a major issue, but for the price you pay it was a bit frustrating. Bed was really short too. Overall decent.

    Overall we had a good experience at the Even Hotel for our first visit to NY. Entire Hotel and our room was very clean. Bathroom was a bit dated but VERY clean(most important). Towels were scratchy but clean and room service came daily and changed our sheets and tidied up the room and left the bathroom spotless, shower doors were spotless every day! King mattress and pillows were marvelously comfortable and the bedside charging station was a big win. Front lobby was lovely as was the guest lounge area. Staff was friendly and efficient. The evening bartender, Charisma, was outstanding! She made our stay extra fun for sure, despite the bar being out of many items our entire 4 night stay. There was a small outdoor space off the lounge that was quite lovely but the lock on the door malfunctioned so we were not able to get out there our final morning. A couple other things to note: only 1 elevator was working for our entire stay, fancy coffee machines weren't working and remote food ordering computers were down often. One more note - upon check in my initial bill did not reflect the "member" discount of near;y $500. When I brought this to their attention the front desk clerk was hesitant to research but the onshift manager stepped in immediately and resolved the issue explaining that sometimes when we book through a discount site like (Hotels.com) those prices don't transfer to the hotel. Across the street one block to right is Black Seed Bagels!! Really Delicious!!

    Love this hotel for the location close to public transportation, the friendly staff, the amazing cooked-to-order breakfast, and the super comfy beds. I reduced 1 star for facilities because 1 of the 2 elevators was out of order causing a slight inconvenience. Rooms are clean and modern, with yoga mats, exercise bands, and standing desk. This is my go-to for work in Manhattan for all of the above combined with a reasonable price. I will return!

    I recently stayed at the Even Hotel in Brooklyn and had a fantastic experience! The location is convenient, the ambiance is vibrant, and the wellness amenities are a nice touch. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that only one lift was working, which caused some wait times.     First time stay. Hair on bathroom floor. Sesame seeds in front of the mini fridge. And the table had crumbs and a dried liquid mess on it. In the shower, when I went to grab the handheld, it broke right off the hose part and needed to call the front desk to fix it. They replaced it within 25 minutes, but this first impression wasn't great. Price point was decent. Not sure I'll try again.

    We did not appreciate having just one elevator in service. This made for a trying time as folks were checking out and the one working elevator was FULL. We used the stairs but that was not a great thing for us. We understand the elevator has been our for days, if not longer.

    Housekeeping cleans every day but did not hang out towels up. Just left them in a pile. They would pretty much do the bare minimum in our room, but we were happy the took the trash out. The gym equipment in the room is unnecessary. Most of the bottles in the bathroom were empty and never filled between guests. Housekeeping is loud in the morning, but they have rooms to clean. I probably would not stay here again

    Everyone I met who worked there were so nice! The room was much smaller than what I had imagined!! The shower was very difficult to use! The food was good! Part of the flooring was warped, not that big a deal, but still a little annoying. I wish I had gotten a much bigger room to avoid running into the wall, just getting out of the bed. Bed was very comfortable and , like I said, the people extremely nice!

    The EVEN Hotel is in a great location in Downtown Brooklyn–near shops, restaurants, activities and easy public transportation to Brooklyn and Manhattan. The room was decent, but mine needed a refresh as there was leftover hair and a used scrunchie but I had too much luggage and was too tired to switch rooms, so I just removed it. I was disappointed at check-in, as there were 3 male employees laughing and socializing with each other but no one greeted me or offered to help with my bags. The gentleman at checkout made it right with my room and was much more friendly, so I left with a better impression. Pros: location, decent rooms, safe for tourists. Cons: room size, service.

    Maintenance of the room on a daily basis was not good. Shower wash was never replenished, ice bucket bag was never replaced, paper cups were never replaced, all towels were not replaced etc. Greeting upon check in was bare minimum.

    My experience was okay, I was not a fan of the room as there was minimal lighting, the shower head wasn’t adjustable, and the mini fridge wasn’t cold enough. I extremely appreciate the staff holding luggage for the day as long as you pick it up before 12am. I would like to give a shot out to the Bartender, Charisma! She makes great drinks and was very kind and outgoing.

    There was space in the front of the room with an exercise area, but it felt like that could have been better used to have the bathroom door on that side. Especially since there was a large and well-equipped gym on the ground floor.

    This hotel did not honor the Hotels.com price that I agreed to. They overcharged and said the Hotels.com price doesn't reflect their pricing. The staff gave me a business card and said I could email the manager. I sent an email to the manager Rogel Zapata on 8/3 and have heard nothing back. I can't figure out how to contact Hotels.com about this either. I feel like I was ripped off. Shame on EVEN hotel. I'd recommend staying elsewhere if at all possible.

    The hotel was over all clean and nice but room service never replace the tea for the keurig. We ran out of toilet paper and had asked for more but in my experience we should not have had to ask and it should've had enough in the room. Also had to ask for towels multiple time cuz they're kept taking them all and only give us 2 when we needed more. That isn't a super big deal but was a bit annoying. The water they had at the front also kept running out. We the include breakfast is $25 extra per day and we didnt get the slips they use for the breakfasts till after our 2nd day after breakfasts was over. Also the breakfasts isn't great just felt over charged but the staff was super nice and helpful with everything we needed when we asked.

    It was very nice in the lobby, there was fresh and flavored water, they had healthy breakfast options and a bar, the staff checked us in quickly and kindly. The room was clean and decorated well it had a very comfy bed and the soap in the bathroom smelt amazing. The room had nice features and a mini fridge in the closet. It also had a workout station.

    While there were redeeming features - the staff was without a doubt professional, prompt, and helpful and the rooms were equipped with handy modern amenities like yoga mats and built-in bedside phone charging ports - they were not enough to offset more obvious flaws like bugs in the bed (I did confirm the tiny flying creatures were not bedbugs), broken water and ice dispensers, a lacking self-service “shop” for coffee in the morning, and a steeply overpriced and subpar breakfast. Equally irritating was locking in what felt like a reasonably rate via Expedia only to be told upon checking in that I’d need to pay an additional non-refundable $87 for amenities I never needed or agreed to (the specifically cited Peloton bikes). This felt blatantly deceitful and manipulative towards budget-minded shoppers on third-party sites they were targeting. Certainly not the worst of all places, but buyers beware, you may be disappointed.

    All of the staff were friendly and helpful however housekeeping was less to be desired. The room smelled strange, they didn't change the sheets and gave stained towels, there was dust on all the surfaces and i had many tiny bites on my arms which was concerning. Other than that the bartender was friendly, made great cocktails and the food was good too.

    Loved the bed! Very very comfortable with good pillows and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing was our ac was not working well but there was a fan in the room so it was fine. We didn’t say anything because we were fine but I really felt like they would have moved us no problem.     EVEN was everything we needed it to be. It was safe and quiet and, above all, accessible. There are three subway stops within a five minute walk in various directions. No matter where we needed to go in the City, this hotel was a great starting spot. The staff were always friendly and helpful. When I came to them in quick need for a band-aid they had exactly what we needed. And the little details like the flavored water right inside the front door were great as well.

    The rooms were spacious and clean, as were the bathrooms. Its rare that you get perfect lighting in a hotel bathroom, but The Even definitely delivered! The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Brooklyn!
