had booked with breakfast but not on confirmation and did not realise until arrived so that is just something to double check when booking but otherwise the hotel was fab.

The location of the hotel was great. We were in the heart of everything. However, it was the service of the entire staff was wonderful. They were attentive, professional, took care of every need.

The only issue was with the valet parking, but overall the hotel is amazing.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and was exceptionally clean everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast 1 morning which I felt was a little overpriced for what was on offer and the hotel needs to invest in a food cover for the fruit. Otherwise a great stay and if we are back in NYC we will definitely choose to stay here.

Beautiful hotel and close to times square

Yet I would be reluctant to recommend this to anyone traveling to NY unless they have been there numerous times already. The reason? You look out the window of pretty much any room, and you see - - - another hotel - and that is all. No New York, No city. No people. No anything except another building staring back at you. And the thing that bothers me the most is how deceptive the description of the room is on the hotel's website! For the Classic room, the blurb says "the floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the energy of the city". Maybe in the restaurant, but certainly not in the rooms. And in the Superior room which we foolishly booked extra, the description says, "View the neighborhood from a new perspective." Well, I guess that's true...you see the building facing the front of the hotel instead of the one in the rear of the hotel. DECEPTIVE! I asked the front desk about this, and they said, well, the superior and deluxe rooms are quieter since they face the front side of the hotel. I asked them why the description didn't say that, and they responded, well, "the energy of the city" is noise. OMG! Had I not prepaid, I would have been tempted to leave on principle. And that's unfortunate since the hotel otherwise WAS nice.

It is nice enough. Rooms were small, which I guess is to be expected for nyc. It was adequate but didn’t feel unique or special at all. Good location.

Super clean hotel and room! Very comfortable bed nice rooftop bar. My only complaint was that it’s hot very hot the a/c in the room would not go under 76!!! we came to nyc for gov ball so coming in late to a hot room that wouldn’t cool down was not my fave, everything else was great.

Highly recommended!! We had no issues and location is very convenient!! Nice to have many options close by from Times Square to Broadway to Rockefeller center and more. Staff was very nice too! Won’t disappoint

The staff member who checked us in could have been friendlier to us.

I arrived early with my two children and checked in before the standard check-in time. Although I had already prepaid for my stay, I was charged an additional $150 fee for the early check-in. I understand that hotels may have policies regarding early check-in, but I felt the situation could have been handled better. As an Expedia Gold member, I asked the front desk associate whether there were any benefits available. He explained that the hotel does not participate in Expedia Gold benefits, which I understood and respected. However, the interaction felt very cold and unfriendly. The staff member was extremely serious throughout the conversation and did not seem welcoming or interested in helping. During my visit, I noticed that several customer service interactions felt similar. A smile, a friendly attitude, and a warmer welcome can make a big difference, especially for families traveling with children after a long trip. The room itself was fine, but I believe the hotel could improve the overall guest experience by focusing more on friendly and welcoming customer service.

Really nice hotel we’ve stayed at the Hard Rock in Orlando and thought we’d try New York and it didn’t disappoint. Would pass on the breakfast as it wasn’t what we expected and pricey.

Booked this hotel for my son’s graduation trip. One of the few in New York that allows a 18 year old to check in. He loved it. Said the staff was super helpful.

1. For international couples the rooms are a bit small, once you have your suitcases you can not move around the room. 2. My own preference I was excepting the same type of food as you get in the restaurants. Unfortunately not no wings, no nachos and no vegi burgers (wife). Besides that great hotel

I was really impressed. I stay in a lot of nice hotels around the city and wasn't expecting too much from Hard Rock to be honest. But the room was a great size (I got the junior suite), it had a desk, a large balcony, and the bathroom was a great size. (Much larger than most hotels I've stayed at). We went to the rooftop bar and had drinks overlooking a nice few of NY. Very new-looking property, staff was helpful, and had an overall great stay. We only stayed for two nights. Great location, insanely walkable, and we walked to piano bars within 7 minutes, pizza and live music right outside the door, tons of restaurants, venues, broadway etc steps outside of the hotel.

I prepaid through Expedia and the hotel charged me the full amount again upon check-in. Be careful because it takes a lot of work to get your money back even if you protest the charge immediately. The room apart from billing was great and rooms were quiet for the area.

Housekeeping and staff were so friendly and attentive!

Housekeeping was not good. I expect the trash in my room to be cleaned and our trash just piled up for 4 days. Also, when housekeeping came by and we were there, we told them we’d be out of the room for them to come back and they never did. They only made beds and gave us clean towels on one day. While the rest of the property was in good shape, its housekeeping that makes a hotel room stay comfortable. When I told this to the front desk, made excuses. I will choose a different hotel next time.

The only down side we experienced is that we tried to go to the rooftop bar for a night cap - my mum is a bit unsteady on her feet, and they would only seat us at the bar, despite there being empty tables - but disappointing considering we were hotel residents, but overall an excellent stay and we would stay again.

Rooftop bar is so elegant. I gave a 4 star only for the price of breakfasts, food was tasty but not the Cheapest.

The room smelled a little bit old When we checked out, we went for the breakfast and they didn’t let us in because of the suitcases. You have to go put them on a different floor first very ridiculous and shameful.

The fridge wasn’t really a fridge the room didn’t have a microwave however if you ask they bring one up. Overall it was a nice stay it doesn’t look like online but it was still nice & clean

Great location! We loved the indoor/outdoor seating as well as rooftop options for full effect of NYC. Bar menu, room service or full meal/dining options at the restaurant were appreciated. Room view was 26th floor, of backside of another bldg, asked for early check in, never called n I'll check bill as we were told there was early check in fee. Roof top was hit n miss, they closed before midnite and turned away, a nite a few days later n the servers n bartenders were terrific. Sessions was good, happy hour they r trying to pawn off their beer from october(pumpkin ale seasonal), they did have an option, food was ok.

Locatoin is good for those interested in Broadway and Times Square, and it is very near Yellow-subway. Very dissapointed in inability to obtain explanation of charges. (suspect someone provided our room number after cocktails?). Reception staff was very friendly, as well as housekeeping. Debris was found in room upon arrival (empty water bottle on floor under table). Caution re: Coffee machine, as it is easy to hit top of paper cup on distending nozel, when removing, causing splash of liquids. Next door is an Ice Cream shop, Pizza shop, and a small food store. In-room ICE delivery must be requested, yet there is a small empty refridgerated drawer.

Had a great stay here. Great location right next to Times Square. Staff were all friendly. I was on 27th floor and could still hear street noise. Doesn’t bother me but may bother others.

This was a great spot. Pretty close to the crowds of Time Square but that’s New York. We were only here 48 hours and needed to pack in a lot of the touristsy stuff so it was great! Nice, safe, clean and cool. The kids loved it.

The hotel had a recent makeover. I was clean and tidy the room we stayed in had an excellent view of 7th Avenue and all hustle and bustle. Breakfast was fine. Simple the evening menu was nice with tasty burgers oval for a fairly reasonably priced hotel. It was really good and I would recommend staying. There would stay there again if we return to New York City in the future.

I liked this hotel! It was very clean and nicely appointed and maintained. It felt new - like we weren’t the two millionth customer to stay in the room. We didn’t use the amenities really but the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the location was amazing!

The features I enjoyed: -Being able to cast to the in room tv -The lux cotton robes -Turning on a red or green light to indicate whether you don’t want to be disturbed or your room serviced -The Sessions Restaurant~ it was my birthday and you get a free drink and free cake+ice cream. They even sung me happy birthday. The menu selection is amazing. -Rooftop bar with amazing views. -Workout gym was top notch -All of the memorabilia from music legends -How helpful the front desk and concierge were I would definitely stay again.

Those housekeepers really tidy up your room, like they organize your things. It was so nice. Loved the little touches like incorporating my blanket when making the bed. I even took pictures. Great job housekeeping!!!

Our stay was nice at the Hard Rock Hotel. Friendly staff, great service, nice rooms. Ambience could be improved by having the music videos that they include in the Hard Rock restaurants. The Hard Rock store was a little weak as well with not much variety in the merchandise.

Room was excellent. Comfortable, has everything you need, great bed, and great cleaning and other staff. Higher class than Holiday/Hampton Inns.

Room was nice. Only thing missing was an actual small refrigerator. Only had a small cooler type thing that don’t really do much as far keeping things cold.

Went to the rooftop to get a drink and out of 1 out of the 3 bartenders said he'd be right with us but left the bar to never been seen again. We ended up leaving the rooftop bar after 20 minutes of being ignored. Everything else about the place/hotel was awesome!

Fantastic hotel in the best location in the whole of New York. Time Square to your right and Rockefeller to your left. Within the room, beautiful and clean with friendly staff to help. Nice rooftop as well.

There was an extra destination/resort fee that you can get $20 in food and bev credit a day. We were not told about it until it was too late for us to use it. It would have been nice to know at check in.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Traveling as a group of women I felt 100% safe in the middle of New York City in this hotel. The rooftop bar was beautiful and sophisticated. They even treated us to champagne for my daughter’s birthday. Would never stay anywhere else.

It’s a nice hotel although a little Begas Style if you like that. Smaller than Inthough which was good. The out the front to the right is kind of dicey. The hotel is a bit to aggressive in upselling. They wanted $300 for a late checkout.

Hotel was in a great location just off Times Square. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Hotel and room were well maintained and felt new. Walked to several Broadway plays, great restaurants, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral etc. Enjoyed all the bright lights and activities of Times Square. NYC was cleaner than expected and felt safe with an obvious NYPD presence in Times Square and the surrounding areas. Enjoyed the hotel and hope to return in the future.

The hard rock hotel was an excellent location for our stay. The Bell staff was very helpful as we had to get in our suitcases and leave them several times during our trip. The view from the bar upstairs is beautiful and the drinks were delicious. The bartenders in the restaurant were also friendly, and everyone was very accommodating and conversational. Appreciated the small bottles of water in our hotel room and getting fresh ones each day with our room clean. Gotta stay hydrated when walking 25,000 steps a day in New York!

Like most hotels, there is a sign about towels and what to do if you don't need them renewed. (Save the environment, etc.) No matter what we did, the towels were changed every day - just unnecessary.

Enjoyed everything about this hotel. A friend & I were in NYC to see an opera & shared a room together. There was plenty of space for us to move around without being in each other’s way. The closet was too small for both of us to hang our clothes, that can easily be remedied. The staff was wonderful, bartenders were so nice & friendly & the hotel allowed me to take home two pillow cases with guitars on them, I was happy about that. Overall great experience.

Rooms are very nice. Restaurant has very limited hours for a hotel. Check in is not smooth when you arrive early with luggage and a car. And trying to get your car back at check out is a drawn out process.

Had an issue interacting with a member of the valet staff which was VERY professionally managed by an on-site manager who was attentive to us and follow-up with a personal email. Very impressed.

The room and service was great. But I could never get the tv channels on my tv to work. They came to my room and tried to reboot it. But neither the internet nor the tv could work consistently. Constantly on and off. Which was a real pain when trying to unwind and watch tv at night. You spend $1k for a room for a couple of days and you’d think the tv and internet would work.

The breakfast was wonderful.

Clean and the location was amazing. It felt luxurious. You still have my security deposit and no matter how many times I’ve been in touch - by email or direct through booking.com you never respond. There is £304.04 held in pending in my bank account. I cannot access this money until you withdraw the transaction. At the moment this hotel is the worst I’ve been to.

I didn't appreciate the $200 charge to get in my room at 10:00 am. (5 hours earlier than check in). My granddaughter and I had taken the red eye from Los Angeles and we were exhausted. So I paid the exorbitant fee. I felt gouged. I feel that a hotel of this caliber can provide a magnifying mirror attached to the wall for those of us who wear glasses. It is difficult to put on contact lenses when you can't see. Your breakfast menu choices could be a bit better.

Only complaint was a half marathon going on so the roads to the hotel were blocked off and we could not access it. Arrived in the city at 11am and could not access hotel until 3pm. We ended up having to find a parking garage until roads opened and then had to pay additional valet fees for a different garage. No fault to the hotel but they were given a schedule so a heads up to arrivals for that day would have been nice so we were prepared. We were driving in the city.

I couldn’t be happier with the hard rock hotel. The employees throughout the experience were more than courteous and helpful. It was a huge plus that they sent up a refrigerator when I called to ask for one. That’s something many properties will not do for you, but they did and that helped preserve some expensive leftovers! The rooms were clean, to include the bathroom. I would highly highly recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Manhattan, especially Midtown

Great location for going to shows, shopping, and sightseeing. Hotel was very nice and clean. However, we had three women in a room with two queen beds and we were tripping over each other constantly as well as our suitcases. There was no space in the room to unpack. By the time we found a place to put our toiletries and make up, there is no room left for clothes.

First time staying at this hotel and it was wonderful. Got in late in the evening and check in was fast. The room was very clean and a little bigger than expected. It’s a NYC hotel so I don’t expect to be swimming in space. It was the perfect size for my stay. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the lighting settings + blackout blinds. I loved the shower and bathtub plus the heated floors (!!!). It was a breeze to get extra towels or room service and everyone was very courteous + helpful during my stay. They don’t have their own parking but there are nearby lots & you can prepay online for cheaper. Walkability is great since there’s a lot of food, activities, and shopping nearby. Just an overall pleasant stay, would absolutely recommend this hotel & I hope to return in the future.

My family and I stayed at Hard Rock Hotel NYC in February 2026. We were originally booked for 4 nights but had to extend our stay for an additional 3 nights due to our flights being cancelled because of the big blizzard. We loved our stay! The rooms were modern and comfortable. There were cool rock details in the hotel room. The location cannot be beat - close to Time Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc. The staff were very genuine, friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay!

The restaurant serves great food and there is also a trendy rooftop bar RT60 that is very popular. It was an easy walk or short Uber ride to most places. Very convenient to get to Times Square or Broadway shows. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, nice location, clean room and gentle staff.

From the moment we arrived at check in to leaving with the bellboy all the staff were unpleasant. We have stayed here previously and had great service but something this time felt completely different. The room we had purchased was an upgraded room and was tiny and when we complained we were told it was what we had booked!

I will not be staying at this property again and would strongly caution others against booking based solely on the positive reviews. Our experience did not reflect the rating, and I would recommend doing thorough research before choosing this hotel.

We love staying at the Hard Rock. It’s clean, safe and a fun atmosphere when we want to stay in the city after seeing a Broadway show.

The room was spotless and the perfect location for our NYC trip! We absolutely loved the breakfast (room service) and we also enjoyed our 2 visits to Sessions. If you go to Sessions the soups on the menu are amazing and the craft cocktails are very good. Ask for Augustus, he was an amazing server and we felt he was very accommodating and friendly!

Breakfast was not included. When I sat down in the eating area, I had to look for staff to order food. I also had to get my own utensils, salt, and pepper, and the staff were rude. The staff at the hotel were rude and unpleasant to talk to. While the hotel is very beautiful and luxurious, the way the staff treated guests was disappointing. The wait times for luggage pickup were outrageous, and the staff's demeanor was quite unprofessional. This negative aspect was the main thing I disliked about my stay. If it weren't for the staff, it would truly be a wonderful hotel.

We ordered room service for the kids every morning and for dinner as well, and the quality was excellent with great menu options. If you want to experience local food and live the New York lifestyle for a couple of days, this is the ideal location. We loved Jos Pizza Broadway, Le Parisian Bakery, Max Brenner, Glaze Hot Chocolate, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Wu Dim Sum, Melt Shop—plus so many more options nearby. A special mention goes to Manager David, who was incredibly kind and helpful to us on multiple occasions. His hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable and welcoming. The best part of all was that the hotel gives a special invite to around 30 guests to see the New Year’s Eve ball drop up close at 11 PM. You’re escorted past the crowds into a reserved area, which was a total game changer for us—especially with children. We got to enjoy the magic of the ball drop without the stress or the crush of the crowds. Overall, our stay worked out perfectly. We highly recommend Hard Rock Hotel New York for families!

I know it is NY but $150 for 3 people at breakfast buffet with cold eggs, melting butter, muffins the size of Reeses peanut butter cups, hot orange juice, cold potatoes,,,,and constant chattering of staff next to our table .....not the best foot forward. On the positive side the bed was outstanding....but....the batroom was old NY, poor draining sink where you had to look at your mouths gems while you brush your teeth and a shower that was just satisfactory. So just average.... not bad not really good...just average.

The staff here is outstanding! Every person we encountered went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Even on a very busy holiday season weekend, room service was fast. The front desk, bell people, and housekeeping were all friendly and accommodating. Security is great, with room keys needed for elevator access, and at night, a room key scan is required to enter the elevator lobby. The hotel is updated, modern, and well-decorated, with a lot of fun music memorabilia on display. We liked the restaurant and our room and bath were a comfortable size, especially by New York city standards. We liked everything and had a great experience.

The staff is super helpful and nice. We made friends with some of the bartenders at Sessions restaurant on the second floor as we were in there nightly to use our 20 dollar a night credit. The loacation is perfect and within walking distance of Rokefeller Center and Times Square and also some bars and restaurants with a 24/hr market next door! I would highly recommend staying here and i would return again if im ever back in NYC!

Beautiful modern hotel I nthe heart if midtown. Convenient to Times Square and Rockefeller Center but far enough off the main tourist area to not be overwhelming crowded.

Room was clean. The space was very tight quarters for the price paid.

Room was nice, clean, etc. Coffe was limited and not good. Took 6 hrs to get extra water from concierge. Had to go to the desk twice. Breakfast was not good and way over priced. Dinner at the restaurant took forever. Waited 25 mins for drinks and then they only brought one. Offered a free dessert for wait but didn't get that either. Won't go back in the future.

This stay was very convenient and close to everything you need to see in the city, especially during the holidays. However, the gym was advertised as open 24/7 and I was kicked out every night of my stay by the staff who stated it was closed around midnight. I usually work out late at night into the early morning and this completely threw me off schedule. This occurred all 3 nights during my stay.

Another inconvenience was the difficulty in using the hotel’s own restaurant, since reservations were required and availability was very limited, even for hotel guests. That said, the hotel itself is very good. The rooms are excellent, comfortable, and well maintained. The valet service works well, and overall the property has a high standard and great location. It is a great hotel, but better communication about rooftop availability and easier access to on-site dining would significantly improve the guest experience.

We have stayed at other Hard Rock Hotels, and they are all always very nice and the staff is always extremely helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, and they go overboard to bring you anything. Look forward to staying at another one soon.

The noise level on weekdays during the night till 5:30am was terrible. City was doing work overnight and it was super loud. It sounded like they were doing work in our room! That’s the only downfall and nothing was said to the guests. When checking out we got sorry and that was it.

Had room service of $14 chicken soup and a Coke = $37 with the delivery to room without a tip. $50 a night to upgrade to higher floor (above 15th) but didn't see the advantage in the end. Still very, very noisy and there is absolutely no view, except for the building across the street. Can't see Times Square and window is actually pretty small. I am a Hard Rock Hotel/Cafe fan so I stay at all their locations at least once, and I don't think we'd stay here again.

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Broadway and mote. The beds and pillows were amazing and very comfortable. The coffee in the room was similar to having an Nespresso and staff delivered more pods within minutes of the phone call. The bathroom was small and had no place to hang up your towel to dry. I was disappointed when I checked in and learned there was an additional $48 something fee a day extra required by the hotel after prepaying for 4 nights.

Lovely stay, despite being so close to Times Square, not too noisy at all. Lovely room on the 27th floor, not much of a view, but cannot complain. Bed incredibly comfortable and the shower was excellent after exploring the city all day. Walkable to all of the Broadway shows and pre-show dining. Short walk to the 50st station which took you most everywhere in the city.

Loved the iconic music memorabilia & tribute. Lighting was soothing, smelled good, felt secure & was able to relax. Bathroom mirrors were great for makeup application. Loved the robes & slippers! Toilets had great flushing power. When our tub spout wouldn't turn on, they sent someone to fix it immediately, fixed in 10 min! The only thing I'd say is wish there was a fan in the bathroom it does get humid after shower & if you want to get ready you need to wait a bit, also the bathroom door was a bit of a lug to slide open in the dead of night sleepy state lol. But we loved our stay & recommend it if you're in NYC & want a great hotel without the noise of times square. Thank you to all who made our accomodations amazing!!
